Monical’s Pizza Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

It's a cut above CiCi's or Chuck E. Cheese, but a cut below... well, everything else. Maybe equal to Pizza King. The pizza itself apparently isn't frozen since you can order your own toppings or customize a specialty (though substituting toppings is charged as an addition), but the toppings, particularly the onions, peppers, and mushrooms, taste as if they were frozen at some point in their life. The pan pizza crust isn't bad, reminding me a litlte of the pan pizza crust from Pizza Hut back in the '80s and early '90s. Overall, skip it. Go for Papa John's or Marco's if you want a chain, or Bazbeaux if you want inimitable, awesome pizza.

Monical's is one of my favorite pizza places in Indianapolis that I think is often over-looked. It isn't marketed like Bazbeaux, Jockamo, or Napolese, but the pizza here is just as good. It's a different style with a really thin crust - like a cracker. I could probably take down the majority of a large pie all by myself when I'm really hungry because there isn't an abundance of dough and crust. This place doesn't have any trendy microbrews or fancy wines. Nor does it have any fancy decor, but rather a low-key family friendly ambiance. Typically the wait staff are neighborhood high school kids. Be on the lookout for coupons in the Entertainment book or in local mailers. They typically have coupons for 20% off or BOGO pizza. This place is a definite pleaser with great pizza at a very low price.

We are regular customers. This place is close to home and always serves up tasty pizza and excellent service. When we were accidentally given the wrong pizza order for my daughter's birthday party, the manager personally delivered the correct pizzas.

It's A-OK, it's good. Clean dining area, clean men's room, nice friendly staff. This location offers dine-in, delivery, and to-go. Modern casual atmosphere. Lots of booths. Free Wi-Fi, ask for password. The prices on the basic cheese pizzas look decent, but by the time you add the toppings in, it gets expensive. There is nothing wrong with the pizza, it's good, but at these prices, it's worth the drive down the street to 62nd and Allisonville Rd to patronize WB Pizza or Some Guys where, for the same price, you'll get pizza that will wow you, and you'll be supporting Mom-and-pop restaurants instead of a chain. If there's a long waiting line at those two places, then come here. On second thought, if WB and Some Guys weren't so close I'd give Monical's 4 stars. Has a patio for eating outside.

I always enjoy Monical's pizza - "Italian Special" sans the green olives and a salad with their special "sweet & tart" dressing.

Stopped over after a movie a couple of months ago. Waitstaff was very pleasant despite the fact that we walked in 30 minutes before closing. Thin crust pie was the best I've had in a very long time. Perfect amount of sauce, cheese and toppings. Really enjoyable. Not typically crazy about chain restaurants, but we like our pie that night.

This new addition to the Monical's Pizza franchise has been open about two weeks now. Situated on the back of the former Glendale mall, this could remain a bit of a secret for a while without a big PR push. This was my first experience at a Monical's, though I had heard good things. The place was largely empty on this Saturday night, but seemed to have steady carryout business. I appreciate that the television sound wasn't played at a deafening level (ahem, Brothers). I ordered the breadsticks with nacho cheese and a deluxe pizza. The breadsticks were good, not great. The nacho cheese was nothing to write home about either, but serviceable. The pizza, however, was pretty good. A very thin crust really let the toppings stand out, especially the mushrooms. I'll definitely be having the pizza again. Not sure about the breadsticks, though. The service was very friendly, although I still had the problem that is all too common when eating in a restaurant that's not too busy: the server disappears for a while. To their credit, another staffperson saw my empty drink and took care of it for me. I was meh on the service until the end. My waitress sent me off with a fresh cheese refill for my breadsticks in the to-go box! This won me over. A bit strange they didn't provide me a copy of my credit card receipt and I heard another table complain about this. Overall, a fairly strong first impression. We've been in need of a decent pizza place in the Glendale area, so I'm hopeful this is going to be the one.

I gotta whole lot of nothing to say about this place. It's very blah and forgettable. Nothing special but the offering of a gluten free dough. And that wasn't too special either. Servers didn't really care whether we were there or not. They were busy with their own conversations. Skip this place and just go to Pizza Hut where you know it's good. My friend says other Monical's locations are better. Whatever...

Monical's Pizza is great, and I've enjoyed it for years (although from the Tuscola, IL location). There is something odd with this location though. The food is great, but their online ordering and delivery needs looked at. I tried to order online today and it said that they were closed for delivery and pickup until 4:15 today. So I called and they were able to take my order, so it was just a little odd that I couldn't do it over the internet. Also their delivery range is so small I don't think that they deliver to anyone. I live about a mile and a half from the location, but they don't deliver that far. Also find that odd. Overall though, it's good pizza, and I don't really mind driving that far to get it since it is still pretty close.

The side salad is basically the toppings from a Taco Bell burrito in a bowl with a little bit of shredded carrots. Yes, that's right. You'll receive a bowl of shredded iceberg lettuce accompanied with salad dressing in a squeeze bottle. Then comes the pizza -- or better yet a 12 inch saltine cracker. Don't get me wrong, I love thin crust as much as the next person, but this was one of the worst pizzas my husband and I have ever had. The one star rating is purely based on our food experience. We had excellent service and the restaurant was tidy. Now if they could just make a better product...

I'm originally from an area in Illinois where all we had were gas stations and grain elevators. We got really lucky when a Monical's was put in our town. When I'm feeling nostalgic, I order Monical's pizza here in Indy, and it tastes like home. Now, I can't believe I'm about to devote a paragraph to salad dressing, but the Sweet & Tart salad dressing is the shit. You'll want to put it on both your salad and pizza. Seriously, this famous dressing has a great tang to it, and it's better than any Western/French dressing you can buy at the grocery store. Order it with your family pleaser. Pizza night will go from "average" to "hey, that's pretty good". Pizza-wise, it's best to go with the thin crust. I have always gone for your standard sausage, but they do a good BBQ Chicken too. The crust has a good crunch, the toppings are evenly placed, the sauce is on the sweeter side of the spectrum, and the cheese is stringy and gooey. It's nothing gourmet, but all in all you get good pizza (better when dipped in the dressing, of course). I'm sad to see such poor reviews, so I'm begging you, Indy: Give Monical's a fair chance!

Monical's isn't bad at all, but it isn't anything special either. I tend to visit this location often due to meetings because it's not very crowded on the weekdays. It's generally always clean. The service is hit or miss. Tonight the service was good. The staff was friendly and efficient. They have a variety of sandwiches, salads, and pizza, of course. Tonight I ordered the individual thin crust BBQ chicken pizza. This poor pizza did not stand a chance. I devoured it in record time. What was even more spectacular was the price. $5.77! That's a winner to me. Echoing the sentiments of a fellow Yelper, Monical's is good, but it's pretty generic. Nothing really stands out about it. It's just a decent place to go for an inexpensive meal.

The pizza tasted good because all pizza tastes good. There wasn't anything fantastic about it, but you shouldn't expect to have a problem with it either. On a scale of Little Caesars to Giordano's, Monical's falls in at about a Dano's. The nacho cheese was the most surprising part of the experience (not meant as an insult). It actually very cheesy unlike the usual just add water nacho cheese everyone else has. Our server was very friendly which is nice. We had a complicated situation trying to split the bill and it seemed to go off without a hitch.

I grew up with Monical's and love it... and that's the only reason I can give you on why I keep coming back. I don't know if I'm just lucky or what but literally every time I've ordered (once every 2 - 3 months) there is a problem with my order. Last night the garlic butter melted the cup and it leaked all over the bread sticks. The time before that the pizza had clearly been dropped and was completely on one side of the box. Before that they brought the wrong bag so I got bread sticks and pasta instead of the salad and soda I ordered. Moral, it's not cheap, and the service is worse then the cheap chains. That said I do like the pizza and love, love the sweet and tart dressing.

I've only ever had the lunch buffet. It's not good. Their pizza tastes like salt. It was nice though, they asked if we wanted any particular pizza. I would try their regular menu. Maybe it's better.

Stopped in for lunch on a Tuesday and they had a $7.99 buffet. Pizza was amazing and fresh. Loved the thin crust. Will definitely come back and recommend.

On my third visit to Monical's Pizza, the Glendale location of the three-state pizza chain settles in fairly comfortably at a 3-star rating. I was in the mood for something different today as I ran errands in the Glendale area, and while I've experienced Monical's twice before it isn't a regular stop for me and I'd never experienced it for a lunch meal. Much to my surprise, they offer a buffet lunch - $7.99 for all-you-can-eat pizza with a 20 oz. drink or $9.99 for all that, a salad, and a couple of breadsticks. While I'm a fan of breadsticks, the idea of being limited kind of bothered me so I opted for the pizza deal and settled in. I will admit that I always chuckle when I see the "Please wait to be seated" sign. I'm in a wheelchair. I don't wait. But, bad gimp humor aside, it feels particularly weird to see the sign in a restaurant with only a few customers and no particular method to their madness. However, an employee did seat me in a timely manner after the usual stumbling through "Where do I seat a wheelchair?" look on her face and an awkward question of "Do you want me to move a chair?" I was tempted to mumble back "Do you want me to dine here,?" but I resisted the urge. They took my drink order, the usual unsweetened iced tea, and I eyed the area with the buffet - essentially a warming area with a handful of different pizza types on it. The majority of the types were of the thin-crust variety with a couple fairly weak attempts at deep dish amongst the options. I would love to tell you the topping varieties, but I have to be honest and say that with the way they make their crust I had a hard time distinguishing the toppings. Fortunately, the pepperoni and sausage options were fairly obvious and I tend to be a rather basic pizza diner. I can honestly say that everything about Monical's screams out average. If I were a pizza, this is where I'd go to experience a comfortable retirement. (I know. That made no sense. It made me laugh). The decor is stylishly bland (Yes, it exists!) with about four wide-screen televisions on the wall and overhead music playing Hootie & The Blowfish (shouldn't that be oldies now that Hootie has reverted back to country crooner Darius Rucker?). There's a nice effort to build in some privacy for diners with booths that have higher walls/boundaries, but the overall decor left me looking around practically begging for something to look at (Fortunately, there was one exceptionally cute employee). The pizza is decidedly average, though I did enjoy a nice lasagna dinner on a previous visit. The warming area is definitely not wheelchair friendly - it's a tad high and I noticed that the warming seemed uneven with some areas not much more than warm and others downright hot. When I arrived, plates were also not out and that made things a bit confusing (this was quickly resolved). I did get my usual iced tea refill - yay! The location is on a corner of what is Glendale Town Center and is right around the corner from Macy's. The entrance is an odd choice as it's not the closest door to the primary parking options for the restaurant. It's not a long walk at all, but a user of a wide wheelchair would be unable to use the sidewalk because there's only a small path outside a small outside dining area. Therefore, they'd likely have to travel in the street to get to the entrance (which is also on a slight slope). Monical's isn't really what I'd call "good," but it's also not what I'd call "bad." It's a decent enough option if you're in the area and craving pizza and this is especially true since the nearby Pizza Hut/Taco Bell establishment is now Taco Bell only. At $7.99 including drink, the buffet is a decent but not stellar value (far better than the overpriced Marco's buffet set smack dab in their abysmal atmosphere).

It was close, Sunday after a movie with kids and the moms wanted a beer. The website said they had it, but in fact, they did not. We were stuck. There's a bit of confusion on who does what here, because we stood there in a nearly empty restaurant for a bit before being seated. We had to go get the person to place our order. When drinks were brought no cups were delivered. When food was brought there were no utensils. Kids menus w/ activities, no crayons given. Check.... let me get up and ask for it. I have to add that I was wedged in between two kids in a booth, so my friend with a broken foot had to get up multiple times and hobble over to get someone's attention. When someone finally came over, I ordered a chicken salad, which turned out to be a heaping pile of lettuce w/ grated carrots with a sprinkle of chicken. Not good. I was told the pizza was good, but didn't try it. I was so unimpressed with the staff' that I had no interest in being there. Perhaps they need to get more staff. Perhaps they need to figure out who is in charge of what. Perhaps if their booths didn't block their vision of customers.... I don't know. If I had no conscience I wouldn't have tipped at all. I'll not be going back.

The food quality has gone down since it first opened, and if not the food call the then the service has for sure going downhill. Quality is hit or miss, I live right around the corner and use this place fairly often. But I stopped going there recently due to too many poor pizzas in a row... But when they are rolling it's 3 ish stars when off 1.5 ish

a lot of people come here cause it's right across the movie theater behind target and macy's in the glendale mall. the food all seems like pre packaged stuff warmed up, pizza is thin crust kind and it's not super filling. last time i went me and a friend from colorado went together. i got a meatball sub and he got spaghetti. my sub was okay though it didnt look that fancy or fresh. my friend's spaghetti looked sorta bland and unappetising but he claimed it was decent. staff is pretty nice and the atmosphere is good despite the average food.

The food here is pretty good. Their thin crust is nice and crispy. But their terrible service and so-so pizza toppings is what earns it 2 stars. We were here on Friday night but it wasn't too busy, only three or four tables full. Our waitress was in attentive and distracted the whole night. She offered crayons for the kids but never brought them. She asked if we wanted Parmesan cheese and red pepper with our pizza, but never brought them after we said yes. We had to flag her down a few different times for refills and the check. The toppings seemed to frozen veggies - flavorless. For a family restaurant, they need to be on top of things.

SUPER cheap pizza! Pan style, thin crust, and regular. You cannot beat the prices here, and they have a great topping selection, including buffalo chicken, yummy! Other than that, the menu is pretty standard. The pan pizza was really fluffy and the crust wasn't too flavorful. It also took a long ass time to cook. I would choose Bazbeaux instead if you're looking for something original.
