The cowboy rib eye I had whip marks where the jockey was hitting it. I had the cowboy rib eye The rib eye was filed with gristle. It was not worth $27. It was terrible. Tough. I had a better steak at home. Why go out. The service is fine. The food sucks. Do not waste your money. I can cook better than they can.

-looks like Yelp has 2 listings for this place. I chose this one because its listed under American food, and it is. Kona Jack's is seafood, sushi & seafood market, Deli Jack's is, well, deli of course! They are located on each side of Daddy's. -Jack's got

Best park about traveling is getting to try new places and I must say I'm glad I try this one. Turkey burger and hot wings were delicious!! Turkey burger was not dry and hot wings were better than most than what I've had. Definitely worth another stop before leaving home. Oh not to mention...the people there were beyond friendly!

This is one of those spots that is much better when someone with my budget wants to splurge. Especially lunch. This is a great place when the company is picking up the tab. The service is wonderful. I have never had bad service not once yet eating here. I have a friend that orders the oyster po boy off the menu from the connected seafood restaurant but is never told no and they always work it out for him. The clientele can be a little north side stuffy but don't let that keep you from venturing from downtown. I recommend the burger. It's one of the best in the city.

I had an early weeknight dinner here with friends before heading to an evening work meeting; we were looking for something that would be quick, but were also trying to avoid fast food places. The menu is basic consisting mostly of steaks, basic seafood, sandwiches and salads. There is nothing too imaginative on the menu, but plenty of solid options that fit with what we were looking for. I had a chipotle barbecue chicken salad that was a good, standard entree salad. My friends had burgers that they said were good as well. Our server was friendly and attentive. We had no complaints! Food was served quickly, which, again, is what we were looking for! The decor is classic dark wood with dim lighting and sports on screens around the dining room. At 5PM, the group of us in our 40's were by far the youngest in the bunch. I've been to the bar area next door that serves appetizers and drinks, and I think the slightly younger crowd tends to head there more than the restaurant. The seafood place attached on the other side looked intesting; I might give that a try at some point

Portion size of the buffalo chicken sandwich became lunch and dinner for this girl, I was quite pleased. Awesome price for the amount of food, and quality was up there too. Friendly, everyone knows your name type of business.

Had lunch at Daddy Jacks. I had a breaded tenderloin. Wonderful. Our server Stacie was great! Efficient knowledgable and friendly. Actually started with Annie, who greeted us with a smile and warm greeting. Wonderful experience.

Brought here for a company meal. They did a very good job accommodating a large group (20+). The service was quite good. Food was way off the mark according to my taste. Too greasy. The sushi was one step above grocery store sushi. Had such a bummer of a time, bailed and was THRILLED that Uber (like a cab) is available in Carmel, IN. Maybe it would be better in a non-group setting, but the atmosphere is pretty tacky and generally not my thing. ALSO, why do you Indiana people put ham on everything? Vom.

Great bar, one of my favorites on the northside. Love the welcoming environment.

The food is usually decent, but not great. The live music in Après Jacks makes a visit worthwhile - not the food. But do not try to bring your own wine - not even non-alcoholic wine. It is against their something-or-other. They first tried to say it's against the law, but backed off of that. (It's not.). We are non-drinkers and this is the ONLY place we've EVER been that refused to let us have our NA beverages - in ANY state we've visited, literally from CA to FL. Aside from that, the customer service is ALWAYS lacking from the management; most servers are pretty good.

I order carryout from Daddy Jacks for lunch at least once a week and I am never disappointed! There are 2 women who I usually speak to when ordering at the bar (i'm awful remembering names) but they are absolutely FANTASTIC! Always so sweet on phone and in person.

Very cool place to go after work for some drinks and appetizers. They have a very nice old "cigar room" in the back with some classy decor and an overall great feeling. Obviously they do not use it as a cigar room anymore but its great for a quieter atmosphere. They also had some live music around 8PM on a Wednesday which added a great touch. The waiters were very attentive and approachable. For what its worth they also got me some ice for my knee (injured it earlier that day) which was pretty great. Come here for some great drinks and a good time!

Good atmosphere, good food, good service. Large menu of traditional American items. Some of the dinner entrees are on the pricey side. Saw Larry Bird here once. Good draft beer selection.

Great place for cocktails with a great relaxed environment in the back of the restaurant. Known as Apre's Jacks. Check website for local contemporary music. Caveat emptor: Cougars are everywhere!

I cannot believe I don't have a review of this place yet! I have eaten here more than a dozen times since moving to Indy. It is one my favorite lunch spots and although I'm a mom, I also LOVE that it is an adults only establishment even during the day. My faves are the steak fries and salads. But last Saturday night I went for a fun night out with my girls and was shocked and awed by the amazingness that is Saturday nights at Daddy's. If you are a Cougar on the prowl, do not pass go, do not collect $200, go straight to Daddy's b/c ....well, the high rollers are out for a night on the town fo 'sho! If you are just a casual normal person, go for the band (which was awesome!) and the Cougar-watching. Who doesn't want to see leopard-printed halter tops on fake breasted 50 year olds?? And who doesn't want to get hit on by a Russian man who is just "zooking for a gilfrind". If you are looking for a good sushi roll, HOLY COW, don't forget to ask for the Kona Jack menu, b/c you do NOT want to miss out on filling your table full of oversized, fresh crab and salmon rolls. I am fairly a novice to sushi but I must say the dragon roll was by far the best roll I have EVER had ever. So so so so good. I have been thinking about this roll since we left last Saturday! OMG. Other good items! My sister in law indulged on the aphrodisiac infused mussels, I partied it up with the shrimp cocktail which was NOT spicy at all (but delish!) and I had a small salad which was fresh and good but nothing fancy. The entertainment was wonderful, the restaurant not too crowded (though we did have a reservation) and the staff was impeccable and friendly. The bill wasn't bad at all even with a few drinks tagged on and for a girls' night out that isn't all Broadripple and tank tops, it was a great way to spend a fun evening out on the town. I would say if you are under 25, this might not be your scene but for us 30somethings, it was a perfect mix of fun and upbeat without being loud and annoying - and of course, we took notice of the furs and animal print and know how to better prepare ourselves for our next trip!

My first time and the band soul bus was nice. Why they call themselves soul bus I don't have a clue. They weren't playing soul music but they were playing the blues with some jazzy undertones. Nothing worst than a bunch of white boys in jeans that look like they slept in them. It's like an after thought..they just rolled in hit a few licks after laying on the couch all day look. They knew they had a show! when is dirty looking tees and jeans part of the act? One cat had on a nice shirt no stage presence at all. I was told is was a classy place..NOT more of a old gentleman's club feel and outdated looking. Had the sushi..gag me. I have had better wont order that again if I return to Daddy Jacks. My guy Aaron at Kroger 79th and fall creek makes it better! it's yummy! He's from Thailand if that helps he is a sushi master. I also tried the buffalo shrimp. Okay I'm thinking these may be what I'm familiar with from my Ann Arbor Michigan experience ..YUCK! not even close. No batter not even a dusting just 12.50 cent worth of shrimp thrown in hot sauce. It's beyond laughable..where is the skill in that? The Corona is always tasty can't mess that up.One thing for certain folks..fool me once that's all you get outta me, I don't fall for it twice when my money is involved.

Feels sort of like a private club. Everyone seems to know each other, which is great if you're a regular. OK food and drinks, but I felt like I was at somebody's party in their house.

Two coworkers and I decided to have our work meeting at Daddy Jacks. Our boss said the food was great and I was excited to try a new place. We each ordered a drink, mine came out wrong. We ordered dinner (Bleu Cheeseburger no pickles), came out with 4 pickles on the burger and one on the side. My coworker ordered a sandwich no onions, waitress said she 'accidently' told them extra onions and when the sandwich came out it was obvious they just picked the onions off. We had 4 different checks in 4 different credit card holders and she managed to run every credit card on the wrong check. How is that even possible??? My $4 drink became a $56 check and I am still waiting for it to be reversed. The food is not good enough to battle the awful service we had. Do not go here. Note to the staff: If you cannot remember orders, write them down! No one will fault you for not remembering entire orders.

Daddy Jacks's is one of Indy's favorite old-school establishments, catering to a long list of regulars that consist of mostly northsiders. Area business people flock there for lunch, and dinners are usually pretty busy, too. The bar is great, and the bartenders have all worked there for a long time. I know several of the people on the staff and it's definitely a tight group that provides great service. The burgers, a gigantic 10 oz slab of ground beef, are excellent, and I would highly recommend the black and blue burger, and would recommend a subsequent visit to the gym the next day! Located on north Meridian near 96th street, Daddy's is located next to its sister establishments, Kona Jack's and Apres Jack's. Great for watching games. Closed on Sundays.

Let me begin by saying that the bartenders at Daddy Jack's pour some of the best drinks in town!!! When I first moved to Indy in 1995 Daddy Jack's and it's sister restaurant Kona Jack's where pretty much the place to go for seafood. I frequented them both regularly. Since then so many places have popped up that I neglected my old favorite for a few years. I've found it again on a much different level. I thought to myself "why the heck did I stop coming here?" Well I must say the food generally rivals any other establishment in town. The sushi is always good. The hoosier roll is always a favorite as is the spicy tuna and shrimp bubba! What I have found is that on the Daddy Jack's side is that they have really good bar food. A friend has turned me on to, believe it or not, the chicken parmigiana sandwich, yes you heard it right chick parm!!! Crispy outside tender and moist inside with decent marinara sauce and the addition of pepperocini peppers with a side of their delicious steak fries and some buffalo sauce to dip them in! Sounds crazy right, but it's not!!! The servers are always pleasant and remember our drinks. I have yet to have a bad meal yet! Try it you'll like it.

Great place for a quick lunch if your office is close. Very fast service. If the weather's nice, there's a nice little patio where you can enjoy a drink with friends after work. They serve amazing tenderloins and cream of broccoli soup! My only complaint - isn't really such a bad thing depending on taste. I prefer a more contemporary atmosphere. The lighting is a bit too dark for my taste.

I would give a 5 star on drink selection & service. Panini was very bland, pizza & waffles fries are both very tasty. Maybe I would try a burger next time. But I doubt there will be.

I'm confused...if a customer writes a (Yelp) review of your establishment? and it's negative about the food....why would you NOT want to investigate, find out what can be done to IMPROVE the customer experience instead of discouraging "the customer" from returning and SPREADING-the-word? about your Eatery.....Please educate me on your logic !

Pretty average bar/restaurant with the menu offerings you can expect from a place like this. The food was OK, and the service was excellent.

Food = 5 Price = 5 Experience = 5 (my favorite sushi and seafood spot in Indy... maybe anywhere. They are very consistent over many years and visits... try the calamario's salad.)
