Good food, lots of drink choices, good service and lots of TVs. What more could you want in a sports bar?

Kilroys done right. The flow is much better than the one downtown. I it is basically a racetrack configuration with a bar that runs the entire length of the building. There are Tons of tvs and they even have a little gift shop. This is the new hot spot I am broadripple, be sure to check it out!

One of the constant good times when going out on the weekends downtown. Pretty good for Friday lunches too. Love the pizza stick things (as does everyone) -- fun atmosphere too.

Dissapointed.! Not impressed! Turned away my son christmas eve on his 21st birthday with his party of 30! let everyone in except bday boy ! They all left and went down the street to brothers welcoming all. Just lost the business of 30 people and the bouncers were rude to his older sisters. Would not recommend.

Nice people, good food, lots of TVs, and lots of talent! If you are looking for the best time in Broad Ripple, check this place out.

It was pretty crowded on a Friday night of course. I'm a cider drinker and all they had was Woodchuck. BUT the Jaegermeister district manager was there and he bought me and my girls some kind of warm Jaeger shot and the sadness was forgotten. The music was a lil old school, why am I hearing the Temptations in a bar full of frat guys? Oh well I'd come back, I want to try one of their multiple varieties of Long Island Iced Teas.

I'm pretty sure mostly everyone's brains exploded when this Broad Ripple location opened, and it has been packed ever since it opened. I had never been to a Kilroy's before, and I often associate it with IU students, and I enjoyed myself when we first went, and as my first time. They have craft beers available, much more expensive than their buckets of domestics, but you pay for quality, right? They have regularly priced wells and shots for a bar--nothing out of the ordinary there. They can make huge Long Island teas, and one that's blue and apparently super strong. Their food is amazing. Ideally, I might eat their stuffed breadsticks until the very end of time. All of the servers are very nice and seem to be looking out for your best interest. There's outdoor seating available and plenty of room indoors. I don't think I've ever seen so many TVs in one restaurant as I have here. If you want to watch the game on about a million TVs, you should go to Kilroy's. Don't tell them I told you.

Love the specials and love the staff!! Prices are reasonable and the barbeque is amazing!! Come get some!!

Kilroys is a fantastic addition to the Broad Ripple area. The food is great and the drink menu is insane (in a good way). Getting a drink in the mini pitchers takes me back to my days at IU. I can't wait until football season to watch all of the games here! There are TVs EVERYWHERE!! Kids are also welcome until 9PM which a lot of other places in Broad Ripple don't allow. The place is huge and has a great outdoor seating area. The staff is super friendly and give great suggestions. This is the place to be!

On one hand Broadripple needs another sports bar like I need another hole in the head. On the other hand, this is a welcome addition. The space is very well done and they kept the kinda cool lines of the building. Also, they added lots of large windows that open to the parking lot and street which I like. This is a sports bar, and they brought the TV's big time. This will be a great place to catch a game. And where many of the area sports bars fall woefully short, Kilroys has a large and diverse menu. Yes, its mostly sports bar fare, but they have far more options than the nearby comp. My wife and I split the fish tacos and the grilled buffalo wrap. Both were very good. We ordered the baked beans as one side and fresh fruit for the other. Yes, fresh fruit. Try getting fruit at Ave Joes, Brothers, Chumlys or BW3. My guess is one or more of the older sports bars on this strip will have to go. Its called evolution, survival of the fittest, and to many of the older guys just have not upgraded or improved their game in a long time and its time to hit the showers.

no family dinner for us on a wednesday at 6:45 in broad ripple at #KILROYS. i can't PROVE i am the guardian of my 16 year old sister... i told the man at the door that i am watching after her while our mother is away. Was told "thats not how this works" so we were turned away. VERY disappointed and will not be patronizing anymore. not a good look ...

This is a sports bar. Hands down. If you are here looking for a good dance party, or a quiet place to dine, then you are in the wrong place. It's noisy, there are TV's everywhere, and the crowd tends to be 20's-30's. That said, if you are looking for a fun spot to watch a football or basketball game, (or any sport for that matter) and you want to munch on pretty good food at the same time, this is as good a spot as any! The main reason I'm writing this review is because of the stuffed breadsticks that they serve. THEY ARE TO DIE FOR! They are big, stuffed with cheese and pepperoni and served with a pleasantly spiced nacho cheese (not spicy, but not the runny yellow flavorless cheese you get at a lot of places either) and marinara sauce. They truly are delicious. But be sure if you want to watch a game there that you get there early because the place gets packed super fast!

It was so loud in there and I couldn't hear the person next to me. Also, it looked like they reached capacity. We were playing shuffle board (5 of us) and we had a table right next to the shuffle board with our drinks and purses/jackets/phones. That was our table and we were there for about 1.5 hours. When we were playing shuffle board, we got our chair taken by a young college customer who said "I don't care" when we told him he just took our chair. I don't want to be in a situation where there are so many immature people around. We also got harassed by two large groups because they wanted us to leave so they can take our seats. This is why I think they had reached capacity. To top it off, they had two lame sounding desserts on the menu. I didn't eat any food there so I can't comment on the food. The experience was pretty lame. Too loud!

Broad Ripple on the first warm day of Spring. Outdoor seating right on B. R. Ave Wings and brisket and the best bread sticks anywhere. Service set to "ignore us, we're laughing and having fun". Peanut butter and jelly wings. Yeah. Why the hell not? Slow smoked bbq. This place invents ridiculously good flavors. Be adventurous- everything our table of 3 ordered got shared and everything was excellent. Service is hit or miss.

Listen, There is not much I can say that others haven't already pointed out and while I am not gonna troll older reviews to see if anyone has mentioned that Ultimate Chicken Sandwich they have, I have to believe that there is one out there. However, I'd like to add two additional cents to it: That sandwich, which consists of a very delightfully and well respected piece of grilled chicken along with BACON (all caps due to perfection of bacon), BBQ sauce, swiss cheese, onions, pickles and some other mentionables that made it that much greater in taste. I went here for the first time a couple of weeks ago to kick off my birthday and could not have been more impressed. This sandwich was #AllThings. This sandwich was #StomachLife. This sandwich was #BirthdayWorthy This sandwich was #Special #Loving #Priceless It needed NOTHING added to it; not salt, pepper or extra condiments. It only needed to be repeatedly and thoroughly bitten into. I did that. Over and over until I almost passed out at the table. I'll be back. For that sandwich. And more!!!! It also didn't hurt that we were there on a semi-busy Saturday, so we ended up sitting at a group table but it was just two of us. As we were packing up to leave, an incoming group of ppl spotted us and asked if they could crash our table if we were leaving. We said yes and they offered to buy us shots, in honor of my birthday. So there that was: An ultimate chicken sandwich for the records, nice people, an awesome waitress and a group selfie with strangers, lemon drops and a Kilroy's Attitude!!!!!

Quick tip: Get the famous stuffed bread sticks. 1000% get them! Got the job done for food in the area at midnight on a Thursday. It was packed with college kids but they kept more to the front and certain areas so it was cool to grab a table and order. We went with the famous stuffed bread sticks to start and they were perfection. House made dough stuffed with cheese and pepperoni cooked to crispy yet doughy perfection. The marinara dipping sauce was a great touch but not needed unless you wanted, they had so much flavor. Also had cider on draft, angry orchard, so that was a plus. Our service was pretty good as well especially for being so busy. It was a little loud, but we didn't mind. Went with the Chopped Chef Salad : romaine and iceberg lettuce, house-smoked turkey, honey baked ham, bacon, tomatoes, onions, and cucumber. Topped with seasoned croutons, cheddar and pepperjack cheese! Yum! It was huge and a great meal. Overall, pretty decent sports bar to grab some drinks and pub grub!

Wait what? No sticks? I'm confused here. I come here everytime for sticks and the last two times they haven't even had them. Is there an unspoken rule that they don't carry them when they're busy? No? Ok. I missed the memo. Besides the fact that it took almost 10 minutes for a waitress to even help us, I bought the groupon SPECIFICALLY for this night, and I can't even use it. Not to mention this is about the 5th time I've encountered a rude staff member here. Sorry 'roys...I'll no longer make this a bripp stop, which is too bad because I was your biggest sticks supporter before. Your staff was nasty about helping us which really was too bad, and I'm sad that you couldn't love your customers like we lovED you.

  • Courtney S.

While I prefer the Kilroys downtown (their layout is less-- as I've heard it called--a meat market), I always make it a point to stop in when doing the bar crawl in Brip. I tend to have trouble figuring out what drink I want and, if you're the same, this is a great place for you. They have long islands, bombs and shots galore all listed on the wall (and in the drink menu). Any long island is a winner and to can get super good value on half-priced Wednesday. It gets really crowded really quickly and on weekend nights it's nigh impossible to get a table and there's usually a wait for a drink if you can squeeze in at the bar. If you do go for food on a normal day or manage to get a coveted table at night, the breadsticks are divine.

Back in the good ole college says, this place was the hot spot when it first opened. Now, It's just another ordinary, boring bar to me. Nothing stands out to me aside from the massive amounts of TVs and the outside patio which is nice to people watch all of the drunk passersby in the warmer days and nights. A good place to have some drinks, but they're a bit pricier compared to their locations in Bloomington.

    (3)

Some good food to kick off our Saturday afternoon. The servers are warm and friendly. And I love the wide selection of Long Island Flavors I must try a new one every time we come!

Wednesday night deals were right up my alley, 3 dollars for Titos drinks means I was in heaven. You also have a variety of long island that come in various flavors and in a giant individual pitchers. Also cheap shots of Fireball whiskey which apparently is everyone's drink of the moment. Wednesday also is country night, so good for those who enjoy country, I don't but it might be up your alley. They also have some dancing girls that come through and give a little performance at some point through the evening. Place is a really good size with plenty of space at the bar, tables for dining and a nice outdoor patio. Also a little dance floor if you want to do some country line dancing. Service was good, waitress was friendly and helpful All in all not a bad place to spend at least part of the evening, especially if you want to pregame on cheap booze before the real turn up begins.

Love-hate relationship with this place...I really love the Broad Ripple location, the TV's to watch sports are plentiful and the patio is nice. The big draw to me are the fantastic stuffed breadsticks. However, this is a bump-and-grind party club, with lots of young things with possible fake ID's...I was sternly asked for one, then two ID's at the door by burly, unfriendly bouncers in the middle of a boring, slow afternoon! Demanding two ID's was overkill. Took ten minutes for two people to wrangle thru bouncers and get approved for entry. At 2:00 in the afternoon. I really do not want to be carded for a simple lunch and treated like a punk teenager, sorry! My guest refuses to ever return to this location, lucky for me they have others so I can still get the super-yummy breadsticks.

I love this place during all times that aren't late at night on a weekend. If you do venture in here after 9 or so on a Friday or Saturday night, expect to find a mess of people, no standing room, and a tough time getting drinks. If you happen to be walking by and see an open table to grab, then it's worth taking a shot at getting, but it's still going to be slow service. If it is outside of the previously mentioned time frame, this place is great. They have an amazing menu of typical sports bar food consisting of a wide range of deep fried and unhealthy but also delicious options. There are a plethora of great sandwiches and burgers, and their tater tots are amazing. The food is pretty standard prices with large sandwiches or burgers and a side for $9-$11, and big plates of sharable appetizers for $7-$10. My recommendation is to skip all of that and get an order of the stuffed breadsticks, as long as aren't too concerned with your health. They have some good drink specials throughout the week on both beer and mixed drinks. Their specialty is a wide variety of different long islands, but make sure you can handle both alcohol and sugar before delving into one of these because they are both strong and overly sweet. Tuesdays are a $2 bottle day with a pretty nice selection for not a lot of money. They have a few draft options, but this isn't somewhere to bring a craft beer junkie. Sports are the focus here, and there are TVs everywhere. If there is a big local game on that you want to see, make sure to come early because it will fill up. They also host some different events here like sports radio shows. It's a place to come for a Colts game where you know the focus will be on that. They will even play the sound of the game over the speakers so you can hear it too. Service even during the less busy times is still pretty hit and miss. I'd say the trend here is people coming in to sit down and enjoy a few beers at a slow pace, so they aren't always great at keeping up with their tables if you are in a hurry. They have a big patio outside, but it seems to draw a lot of smokers which makes it less desirable for me than just sitting inside and looking at the sun through the window. They do have a shuffleboard table, and usually have a giant jenga set setup to mess with. They also have some larger round tables that can seat bigger groups. Overall, a great sports place that is more a restaurant than a bar most of the time. It's a good place to sit down and get lunch or dinner and watch Sportscenter while enjoying some beers. If you like a crowded place, then this may be for you on a weekend night.

I am a big burger fan, and I tried one here. They might not know it, but I have had one of the best burgers I have ever had right here at Kilroy's. I was skeptical, being in Broad Ripple and they were extremely busy, final four weekend. Wait staff was on point, very knowledgeable and kept our drinks coming. lively crowd, it was Saturday afternoon and I was pleased to be there.

Can I get a whoop whoop for the bread sticks? They are the best invention ever. So amazing!! I also love the fried pickles and the drinks are pretty awesome also. I love this place and I definitely recommend it. :-) Yummy!!!

Stopped by Kiroy's to watch the Belmont Stakes. Great place to watch a sporting event. Everything we ate was average at best. Probably my own fault for ordering BBQ sliders in a sports bar, clearly not their specialty. My daughter said the ham and cheese sandwich was decent. Overall, pretty unremarkable.

If you remember when this place was a Cardinal Fitness, you'll see that it's undergone a complete transformation. However, the one thing that I really like is that the panoramic windows are still there and, in fact, they all open up now which makes the inside very light and airy. They have a huge selection of beers and have drink specials every day. On my one and only visit, I just stopped in to have a few beers while I was waiting to meet up with someone. I sat inside (they have also added a huge outdoor seating area) and did some serious people-watching (there's always somebody walking by on Broad Ripple Ave).

So went out to watch college football and this is the place my friends and I ended up at. The atmosphere here was great! We had been to two other places but I was fine staying here. We say at the bar & the place was full but the bartender made us feel like we were the only people there. Service was stellar and that's even an understatement! This place is known for their Long Island Ice teas and I learned why very swiftly. I ordered the electric blue long island & I was expecting a simple glass. Nope! They are HUMONGOUS!! FATHER God in heaven....you will leave here drunk. The long island was in a 32 oz pitcher and was the best drink I had while in Indianapolis. We only ordered appetizers but even they were great also. We had chips, salsa, & cheese. I was very happy that they weren't stingy with the salsa & cheese also. My friends and I were able to share and take some home. I ordered the chicken tenders with ranch & maple bourbon glaze on the side. 4 very large tenders came out and the maple bourbon glaze to dip them in took me to a very happy place! If you get tenders here, then def choose it as one of the two sauces to accompany the tenders. I think I may go back here to pregame before the Colts game tonight. Easy 5 stars & I don't give those lightly.

Great place to watch the game! They have tons of tv's, so not a bad seat in the house. This also means they can get pretty busy, but they do a great job of making sure everyone is helped. The stuffed breadsticks are an absolute must! However, the bbq chicken tacos had some issues. The chicken wasn't very good. The pieces were full of fatty, grisly parts and even multiple bones! Not what I expected from a place where everything else I've had at both locations has been outstanding. The long islands are certainly their signature drink with a long, fun list to choose from. My favorite is the cherry coke long island!

Everyone talks about the bread sticks, which are great but they have the best chicken tenders in the city also.

Regional chain sports bar located in Broad Ripple. Long lists of specialty mixed drinks, draft beers and bottled beers, including some good regional craft beers. Menu is pretty standard bar food, but the stuffed bread sticks are pretty darn good. I had a thin crust BBQ Chicken pizza there and the smallest size (12") is still plenty large enough to share. It's cut into squares vs. wedges, which makes the center pieces a little harder to eat, and the taste/quality is OK. TVs are literally everywhere you look and they have multiple sporting events playing concurrently, so you should be able to find pretty much any sport you might want to watch.

  • Christina W.

Usually I frequent the downtown location, and aside from the limited Long Island pitcher menu, I like the crowd better at the Broad Ripple location. Of course we had to order two full orders of the oh-so-delicious stuffed breadsticks but don't forget about their wings too. The sweet Thai chili wings are my favorite - not too sweet, not too spicy, and the right kind of crunch. Never disappointed and always great service.

Well kept new-ish bar in B'Ripple, I have been to the one in B'Town once but only briefly so I can't compare. Wandered here last weekend for my family to check out while we were browsing B'Rip. I had been there before and I want to like this place more than I do, but the hit or miss service and expensive long islands (which are hard to resist when you rarely visit) bring it down a bit. I guess they have specials but I always want to try a new long island flavor when I am there and I don't think they are quite worth their non-special price. They are not that fancy or that strong but they are popular....I'm sure I'll wander here again but I don't think I'd go out of my way...except maybe unless it is long island special night...

  • Melissa V.

My husband and I stopped in here for a drink when we were in the area. The atmosphere was great - TONS of TVs for watching games, and the service was about what you would expect for a busy neighborhood sports bar. Nothing to write home about, standard sports bar fare.

  • Glen H.

Kilroy's will always have a special place in my heart. The one in Broad Ripple needs to work on the service though. It takes a little longer then it should to get a drink when it's not that busy. I love the setup there. Great place for large groups.

Delicious breadsticks and an extensive drink menu! We went during the busy night of the ND vs Butler basketball game. Even though it was crazy busy we were still served within a timely manner and the staff was friendly!

Kilroy's is a college sports bar. They do plenty of things well, but with that success comes some problems. The space: it's crowded. Always. Of the many times I've been to kilroys, I'd approximate 10% of those visits were spent at a table. It's almost always standing room only, and the standing room is limited. If you go for a sports game and want a table, you need to be 1-2 hours early. The food: typical bar food. People seem to love their stuffed breadsticks, but that's not my thing. I've had a few miscellaneous items off the menu (wraps, tacos, sandwich) and none of it was great or terrible. All around very much a middle of the road experience. Not a place for foodies, but then again it's a bar first, restaurant second. The booze: the real reason you come to kilroys is to drink. They have some decent local beer options, but most people come for the 32oz Long Island ice tea, custom shooters, and unique shots. If you stop by on a Wednesday everything is half price! It's a great place to catch a game, if you can get a seat. If it's full, you prefer local beer to liquor, or crowds aren't your thing, head across the street to Chumleys. They have better food and SO much more local beer.

  • Jennifer S.

Looking for a newer college age hang in Broad Ripple? Kilroy's has you covered. Above average pub grub. A mass of windows to allowing light in, perfect place for people watching. A small patio to enjoy the breeze and weather. Kids are allowed in, but this isn't what I'd consider family friendly (just because you can doesn't mean you should). This is a place to catch a game and/or get a phone number ... "Why Mrs. Robinson, are you trying to seduce me?" [It wasn't the food Shelly F. & I enjoyed here]

    (3)
  • Sharee M.

The service here was better here than at the downtown location. What makes this location good for me is the outside patio and sliding doors, to allow the natural air come in. Even though you are inside. This location is also bigger than the one downtown. Well, at least the layout makes it feel that way. Everything else is the same franchise wise such as the food and tap. Come here with the group of friends and I'm sure you'll have a good time!

    (3)
  • Amber B.

I love Kilroys, if you want to watch any game it's the perfect atmosphere! Their food is amazing, their breadsticks are famous and I love their maple bourbon wings! Don't forget to get a Water Long Island pitcher. Also, ask for Ashley, she's the best!

  • Jon C.

Okay, so Kilroy's isn't really my kind of place, but for a sports bar, it's pretty much what I expected. Here's the rundown: - Decent drink specials most days of the week. On a recent visit I took advantage of the Long Island drink specials and felt like I got a pretty good deal. - Food comes in fried form. I wouldn't be surprised if the kitchen was a row of deep fryers. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, just be warned if you're eating healthy, you might plan on taking a night off. - Outside patio is a great size, but they allow smoking (or don't enforce the no smoking policy, if it exists). Again, if you're not into smoke in your face while chowing down on your greasy food, don't sit outside. - Wait staff is friendly, but getting their attention is sometimes difficult, especially when the place is lively (loud) and the servers are stretched thin (like, every day). If I had a "Bro Hangout" list, this would be on it.

LOVE the fact that you can sit pretty much anywhere in this bar and have a TV right in front of you!! No smoking indoors.... woohoo! We watched a playoff game here. They have a whole menu of long island iced teas.... i guess i was already kinda tipsy from the mimosa and beers I had just consumed because I did not notice the size of these drinks before ordering. 1 drink is the size of a mini pitcher! Holy cow! We ordered, the original, peach, strawberry banana, raspberry and blue raspberry.... The original was OK... I would get something flavored though.

Ok so I really had great expectations for this bar because there was soooooo much hype going on from the news and other friends from IU, telling me that Kilroy's is the place to go...well they never finished the sentence. The drinks are good so I have no complaints, the food is very average (on the lower end)...kinda bland, but the service is absolutely horrible. They have the worst waitresses ever. The waitress we had never attended our party of 5, she sat at a table with another customer 90% of the time. They aren't very friendly at all. I will not waste my time going back to this location.

I feel that this is the spot to be in Broadripple. Keeping that in mind, I do not go out very often especially to Broadripple. I know I have attempted to come here a few times and every time the place is packed and the bathrooms are gross. I think the service is okay considering the amount of people that they are having to assist however like most bars it all just depends on who you know, how your dressed and whether or not you can shove your way through the crowd. I personally found the drinks to be a little weak for the money but it also could have just been the Long Island that I ordered. I think it is a fun place to be especially to get the Broadripple type environment and experience so long as you are prepared to yell to talk to the person next to you. One of these days I hope to stick around Kilroy's long enough to order and try some of their menu items. So far I have not had that opportunity yet though.

Even 'deals' night is overpriced. Come on, this isn't New York? And our waitress was just plain rude and honestly was not at all interested in even being here. Asked us 3 times what we ordered and them when the bill came, she had no clue who ordered what and was pissed when we asked for the bill to be split. Hard to explain in text, but the most awkward experience I've ever had at a bar....

    (1)
  • Andrew N.

Been here about 4 times and have come to the conclusion it's just an ok run of the mill sports bar. Not that there's anything wrong with that...I guess. I'd rate higher if the service, food, and beer selection was better, but alas, it's not. Boiled down, it like a Champs with 32 pieces of IU and Cubs flair. YMMV.

Kilroys has a great atmosphere for watching sports and socializing. Their stuffed breadsticks are to die for! I also love their long list of long islands. Their hamburgers are dry aged; probably the best I have ever had! I also love their salads; the homemade ranch is the best! This place is way better than typical bar food!

There were TWO people sitting at the bar when we walked in at 6:30pm. We waited 10 minutes for someone to even talk to us. The bartender then says, "It'll be a few minutes." We waited another 5 minutes and still received no service. TWO people were sitting at the bar. Absolutely WORTHLESS establishment.

Pretty sure that the drink I bought here was the one that set me over the edge. Definitely some strong drinks they pour here! Worth the money you spend on a drink...especially considering that it's not very expensive for drinks here to begin with. There is a ton of seating and lots of bar space - I hardly had to wait to be served when I first walked up. So little of a wait in fact that I almost didn't know what I wanted to order! Looks like it's a very popular place on the weekends, and most everyone that we ran into there was friendly. Enjoyable experience for the short amount of time we spent there!

Get the breadsticks, they are awesome!!! Great atmosphere and the long islands are fun to try too!

Adults rarely go to Broad Ripple bars, but when you must, Kilroy's is the place. Park at the door, clean, good looking space, decent drinks and fun bartenders. It makes putting up with the kids almost worthwhile.

First time ever inside!!!!! OMG I have always avoided the place because it always seems so busy. But tonight friends suggested we watch the game there, I don't think I have ever been so surprised at a pub menu but it had so many choices. breadsticks, burgers and brisket and other meats I learned were smoked right in the building to ensure perfection. When we got our food which was really quick everything was so good looking, and we started eating I realized nobody had said anything for ten minutes LOL it was that good, our server Kelsey was fantastic and I have never had a manager at a bar ask us how our meal was but Zach did and he seemed very genuine in wanting to know. I think kilroys is our new place and this weekend we will hit up the downtown location.

This is becoming my new place to watch football on Sunday. It's not too crowded and they will turn on whichever game you want to watch. Service could be better but the it's a great go-to for good bar food.

I generally think that Kilroy's is a decent bar. However, don't get food! First of all, the service was horrible. They have more waitresses there were people there on a Sunday afternoon so you'd think they'd be more attentive. That wasn't the case. They mostly just stood around. Took her til after we got the check to refill my coffee. Second, I ordered the stuffed breadsticks which is their specialty. I don't think that anyone should eat these unless they are drunk or hungover. They are so greasy. Third, my boyfriend ordered fish and chips. They looked like 4 fish fillets without the bread on top of french fries. It looked horrible. For $12, I bet it's cheaper to go to McDonalds and just buy a few of those sandwiches. I wonder if they order them pre-made from the same place McDonalds does? Finally, we had a coupon we wanted to use. The waitress told us that our coupon was invalid because it's only good for lunch on weekdays. Well, if that's so, it should say so on the coupon! How am I suppose to know that if it doesn't say that on the coupon? I'm not a psychic!!! Not so happy.

This place is the classier cousin of Kilroy's in Bloomington for the alumni set. It's a wonderfully laid out bar inside- get a seat by the windows to watch the circus show that is Broad Ripple Ave at any time of day. It's not as rowdy or fun as the B-town original but the food is just as good. As it is a main IU bar- it gets crazy crowded on game days but what a great place to watch the game to get in the spirit. HOO HOO HOOOOSIERS!! I could eat their stuffed bread sticks (so effing good) & drink Tie Dyed Long Islands ALL DAY! Their pizza, fish tacos, and other drinks are very tasty. The staff is usually friendly & attentive to boot.

Ahhhh KILROYS. Not quite the Kilroys of my collegiate days..oh no. This place is spruced up, cleaned up, and there is not the "college sports bar" feel. However, it is a VERY fun place to go to watch games, or out on the weekends. The bar area is nice and I think they have packed about as many tables as possible in there without over-crowding it. There is also a small patio outside, which I cannot wait to take advantage of once the weather gets warm again. Drinks specials are standard, and the food has been elevated from the B-town menu. The Kilyroy's Classic on the menu is definitely the BREADSTICKS, stuffed with cheese & pepperoni. If you have never had them, drive down there, and get a half order (or a full order) immediately. They are so gooey and delicious and I will warn you, they are not very healthy for you. These things are the perfect to sop up some excess alcohol you may have consumed. Another Kilroy's highlight is the long island menu. They come in pitchers, so be thirsty when you order. They are pretty tasty, and I personally enjoy the Baltimore Zoo (beer, vodka, OJ, among other things)..but no one else seems to like it as much as me. It is super fun to come here during IU Basketball games, if you happen to be an IU game. If you are an IU alum, you are likely to run into some people you know, and it is also fun to be at a place that plays "This is Indiana" before the game, and after if IU gets a "W". However, if your team is playing Indiana, this may not be the place for you. Even if it is packed with TV's everywhere. If you do plan to watch a big game here, I recommend coming at least an hour early to secure a table for you and your friends. Another extra that is really fun is that they have shuffleboard! That game is so much fun, and only gets better the more you imbibe. A younger crowd (and those who want to beeeee younger) often hang out here and it can get quite busy on the weekends, with wait lines getting to be long. I think it is definitely worth a stop by, especially if going out with friends or looking for somewhere to watch a big game.

Huge sports bar with a ton of TVs to gander at. I felt like everything was pretty average here hence the 3 stars. The service was good for me, but it was also still pretty early in the night and the place hadn't yet become busy like I've heard it gets. The breadsticks are freaking huge. Make sure to order some of those while you're there. Everything else was pretty average from the food to the drinks and prices.

We visited kilroys on a Saturday night and had a terrible experience. First, the chair I sat in was broken and the waitress told me to go get another chair from the "corner". Then, half of the items on our appetizer sampler were under cooked. We told our waitress and she said she would talk to her manager (apparently he was right outside of our table smoking). She said she could bring us more but we told her we didn't want any more. The first set made us lose our appetite. Well she brought more anyway which we didn't touch. We asked for the manger but he never showed up. Good place to grab some drinks but that's about bit.

Kilroy's is alright. It gets busy, but it's really nice to sit at the bar and let all the messy crap happen behind you. Crowd is a bit young. There's shuffleboard.

This is going to be the first review heavily influenced by the server. As a former waiter, I tend to give a lot of leeway for poor service. The server may just be having a bad day or be inexperienced at the job. I don't like rating an entire business because of one person. In this case, the service was so poor and the server so unapologetic that it soured the whole experience. She was rude, short-tempered, forgetful, and extremely slow. She forgot to place our order, was incapable of getting the correct drinks, barely checked on the table and was extremely, extremely, extremely slow. She also added drinks to the various bills at the table, and was unable to properly divide the bill, even though we told her several times we needed separate bills. Finally, she refused to correct the extra drinks on the bill and made excuses about where the manager was. We finally just paid for the extra beers as we just wanted to leave. I do believe she did all this on purpose as well. I was able to watch the other tables she waited on and those that arrived after us had drinks and food well ahead of us. She was very attentive and prompt with the other tables as well. The only reason this isn't a one star review is that Kilroy's itself was nice and seems to be a great place to watch a sporting event. Soooooo many TV's! I just can't bring myself to recommend the place to anyone.

I frequented Broad Ripple during my college days and at the time, Brothers got the most business (since it was the newest at the time, which is typically where the crowd goes to besides the cursed building that was formerly inhabited by Tru, Buckwildz, Seven etc). So here comes Kilroy's, a Bloomington, IN based bar group where the crowd now seem to enjoy quite a bit. Probably one of the better spots to watch important games (Butler, IU, Colts, Pacers etc.) but make sure you get there way ahead of time. Highlights include: Long Islands, Margs, 'tinis, BEER, and daily drink specials Greasy Food menu (nothing wrong with that, it's bar food!) 38745 TVs architecturally placed so that you will always have at least 10 tvs within your peripheral It is what it is.

If I had to choose Broadripple vs downtown location I would hand down choose downtown. It absolutely baffles me why the Broadripple location charges a $5 cover charge!! I refuse to pay a cover to get into this place....not even for the pepperoni stiffer breadsticks. Broadripple location is a bit of a younger crowd compared to downtown. Smaller space, gets crowded quickly (apparently most people are not opposed to paying the $5 cover). Cover charge is cash only as a warning!

I'm here constantly and I am always hounded when I walk in. I've been asked for three forms of ID on multiple occasions. Drink prices are outrageous. And service is poor. Not sure what all the hype is about. Doesn't live up to IU Kilroys standards.

It's a solid place to get food, but some of the people there aren't too friendly. I don't mean the staff I mean the other customers. Also a heads up for some people, this is nothing like KOK. But still a good place to go.

  • Kyle G.

This place has gone waaay downhill over the past few months. The service is awful compared to other options in the area and the food and drinks are overpriced for the low quality. Our group was in over the weekend and our server got our check wrong. When we asked about it she stormed off without even letting us finish explaining the error and then the manager comes to the table with a print out of the same bill and proceeds to argue with us that there is no way for the system to get a bill wrong (really, your "system"doesn't allow a waitress to hit a 4 when she should have hit a 2?), what experienced manager talks to customers like this? I'll save my $ and enjoy my nights out by walking down the street to better options for both food/drinks and service, you should too.

It was ... ok. Compared to the Kilroy's downtown, I wasn't that impressed. The crowd was young and drunk. When I say young, I'm talking "Hey, I just turned 21 and want to slut it up!" young. Broad Ripple used to be my #1 favorite spot to go when I turned 21. It was great because you were surrounded by people your age. Things have changed a bit and I'm looking for a different scene. What I can say is that I'm pleased that this Kilroy's ALSO offers several choices of Long Islands. If you've been to the one downtown, then you know this is their clame to fame. I absolutely love their Long Islands. Mmmm.

A ton of HDTVs, could only fit more if you started putting them along the baseboards or ceiling. Length of building bar on the west side that is slightly curved with a block wooden rail and granite counter. Bar back contains HDTVs and lighted bottle shelves. Great food and decent service depending in the day/time. Good draft and bottled beer selection. Strong drinks, no measured pours, which is very surprising. Big place with many windows and a sun light, so well lit for day drinking. Large rectangle divided by a chest high rail to divide the dining area from the bar. East side contains high and low tables, west side is the bar and a row of high tables. Has shuffleboard and an outdoor patio that's perfect in the summer to watch the happenings of Broad Ripple ave. Crowd is usually younger, who late in the night will be hammered, but its broad ripple. Music is across the board. In general, Kilroy's is clean and a great place to grab a bite to eat & a drink.

I found myself in Broad Ripple for lunch. This Kilroy's Location is almost as nice as the downtown Indy location. The food is real good for a sports bar. I had the fish tacos and was pleasantly surprised. The little metal tray that kept the tacos together was a nice touch. They had Sun King on tap, so that is always a good thing. I'd go again.

Ok, we have been here before and really enjoyed ourselves. It seems in the past year this place has taken a plunge on everything they should be. Our server is nice, but lacks real service. The girl who brought our food to us slammed it down and walked away, didn't stop to ask us how we were, and if she would have then she would have realized we needed something. Instead of us getting what we wanted, we had to have a shitty appetizer taken off our bill instead of a new one that I would have gladly paid for. A table close to us told the gm they needed thier server, and all he said was "uh huh", instead of "what can I do for you". All in all, laziness, Cockiness, ow service, and the inability to actually do your job makes this place a bad choice. I'll stick to visiting the downtown location, and only sit at the bar because the service there is poor as well

This is a juggernaut of a sports bar located in the heart of Broad Ripple. Now what I mean by juggernaut is that this bar is huge. Lots of seating, a big bar, and a ton (I mean a ton) of TVs. This is where Kilroy's sets itself apart from smaller sports bars. It's a solid bar to catch a game. The food at Kilroy's is standard pub/sports bar stuff with a few irregular items that add a little to the menu overall. Nothing to write home about by any means, but you could do much much worse. Nothing I've had really stands out good or bad. The waitstaff is pretty solid and attentive, especially for how busy they get on weekends. And though the college/frat/bro-ripple crowd can be a bit extreme at times, it's nothing most people can't handle. This is also one of the few places in the immediate area with its own, decently sized parking lot. Which is a huge plus if you want to get in and get out. Not somewhere I'd go a lot, but in a pinch I'd watch a game here.

I stumbled upon this place while bar hopping with friends in broad ripple! When we went in there it was wall to wall packed. We couldn't even get a table inside. Luckily it was summer so we tried our luck at an outside table and scored. We didn't know what to get. All we knew is we were tipsy and needed some food. We saw the waitress walking past our table to serve another. That's when we laid our eyes on the golden brown GREATNESS! The Kilroys Original Stuffed Bread Sticks! When she came to our table and asked what we wanted we all pointed and said, "I Want That!" And busted out laughing! We also ordered the Long Island pitchers! I ordered the Tye Dye. Since then I've had their salads, their fish tacos, their peanut butter and jelly, honey barbecue, and hot wings. Their nacho Mac and cheese, their cinnamon rolls, their nachos, their sausage links, and their onion rings! EVERYTHING WAS GREAT!!!! I am in this place more often than any other restaurant ever in life period!!!! I love them! The broad ripple location is highly favored!!!! I SUGGEST YOU GO THERE ASAP IF YOU HAVENT BEEN THERE BEFORE!!!! It's pretty EPIC!!!!

Man, Kilroy's would be cool if it wasn't for all the posers... wait, did I just write that. I probably am one of the posers. But heck, I don't come for the people, yet the crowd is cool. I don't come to play drunk games, but the shuffleboard looks fun. I also didn't come to watch the game because I HATE BOTH the spurs and heat, however with all the TV's it looks like a great place to catch the game. I really come here for the food! Breadsticks! Just order em. Order at least two orders per person. Pulled pork sandwich! Tasty fish and chips. The cuban is fantastic and is made with their pulled pork. Pretty awesome fries, decent fruit cup. Did I mention the pulled pork sandwich. Waitresses are uber friendly! Tip them well! They've earned it. I will be back several more times to sample more menu delights. Next up, their southwestern offerings. More to come...

I would rather go to Average Joes. There's typical Kilroy's food and drinks with patio. Nice to watch a game if you can scout a table. Nice bucket specials on Sundays. I wouldn't hang out here on a Friday or Saturday night, and they might charge cover (wtf?).

Excellent bar to watch a sporting event or eat quality food while enjoying good drinks. Awesome specials during the week and the bread sticks are the perfect bar food. The food is better than any other bar Broad Ripple if you need a late dinner. It gets crowded frequently and the parking lot is almost always full during peak hours.

It's a bar. In Broad Ripple. Rinse and repeat. I guess it's a staple in Bloomington for IU students. I've never been to that one but this one was nice but crowded and I saw WAY too many people I went to high school with...but that's beside the point. They have a nice patio and heaters outside where you can smoke which is a plus! I've never been anywhere in Indianapolis that has heaters for the winter which should be a thing EVERYWHERE since it's freezing there but I digress...+1 for heaters and a nice smoking area. However, $4.00 for a bottle of Bud Light? No. Broad Ripple is not Las Vegas. You shouldn't be charging that much. Other than that, it was a nice stop off on my annual Broad Ripple bar crawl.

Great place to catch a pacers or colts game. Drinks are always great. The best day to go in my opinion is Thursday. Half off drinks I will take that any day. Staff is excellent and they do a great job especially when you have a large group. It's kind of a college bar but what do u expect its ripple.

Sometimes you can try too hard. Before I continue, I should probably note that this isn't my first visit to Kilroy's, but it is my first visit to this Kilroy's. The one in downtown Indy, while similar in menu, pricing and concept, are completely different. So, let's start off with my experience at this Kilroy's. You enter the first set of double doors and are greeted by a bouncer. He's a nice chap, and not a whole lot happens here. But then you go through the second set of double doors, and you're magically transported to a land called New Jersey. It's probably somewhere near the Rutgers campus, or maybe a bit closer to the shore, but it's definitely jersey. The only thing that might throw you off is that this is a Colts bar, not a Jets/Giants/Eagles place. Anyway, grab yourself a seat at the bar, and enjoy the show. It's definitely Jersey, everyone is trying too hard to impress the people around them, either by showing off or bragging. When you're done, you can go back to your reasonably priced drink, which is probably on special if it isn't Friday or Saturday night. At least there is a good range of options. And if you feel like browsing the menu, go for it. There are some decent sounding items here, and it's worth the read. Seriously though, you can choose almost anything, and it does get a bit inventive. I felt like walking on the wildside, so ordered some of their more interesting sounding concoctions. First up - the stuffed breadsticks. This wasn't necessarily because it sounded interesting. I ordered these because the Yelp world seemed to agree, the breadsticks are amazing. And I have to agree, they were pretty damn good. May I make one suggestion though? Instead of calling them 'breadsticks' a more fitting term like 'oddly shaped calzones' might be better. Seriously though, Kilroy's breadsticks were the best calzones I tried in the area. It's when I got my entree that I felt Kilroy's is trying too hard. I ordered the Cajun Chicken Philly with Nacho mac and cheese. Simple concept, take two things that are awesome and combine them to make something awesomer. Boy was I let down. Both items sound great on paper, but came out poorly in execution. I will say, if you can ignore the Jersey crowd, and order something a little more basic, you'll probably have a decent time. Especially if you can be here for a Sunday game.

been to this place a few times over the years and it was one of the better places to go to for a game and some unique long island iced teas. however, over the past two years alone their quality has gone down and the prices have gone up. their cheese breadsticks are still to die for but the potency of their iced teas and the slow service that usually follows with game days makes me dock stars for them. as far is their food is concerned they are nothing special in my opinion and offer the standard pub fare. I really hope they go back to the days when i first went there and i would want to return. but as of now there are too many options where i prefer to spend my money to have a good time with friends.

Kilroy's is sweet. I'm a fan of their downtown location. Really good staff, tons of 50" plasma TVs in every direction. Its also the cleanest bar in Broad Ripple.

Was pretty drunk off of jolly rancher vodka when I showed up, so I can't really comment on the atmosphere, crowd, prices, drinks etc... b/c I don't really remember them. What I DO remember is the awesome bread sticks! Holy crap! Big as a baby's arm, DRIPPING with butter, and stuffed with ridiculous amounts of tangy sauce, spicy pepperoni and gooey cheese.... We don't have anything like that in NYC... and I've been dreaming and talking about those bread sticks for about a week. I'm adding Kilroy's, and their bread sticks, to my list of Indy guilty pleasures! Just gotta make sure I work out extra hard the days (weeks?) before and after.

Last night, I had the pleasure of visiting Kilroy's on Broad Ripple for the first time since I was visiting friends in town. The place was pretty busy with March Madness Basketball on. I was able to grab a table with 3 of my friends. As we sat down our server, Sam came over to greet us with a great smile. She seemed like she was having fun at work. Sam mentioned all of the drink specials and a few beers on tap. As she delivered our driinks she suggested a few great apps to start our basketball viewing. Sam suggested the BBQ Sliders and Buffalo Quesadilla's. We took her advise and ordered them both. Sam was very helpful through out the night and was quick with any request we had. She made the entire experience fun and relaxing. Thanks Sam for making Kilroy's my new place for beers and sports.

I went in skeptical, I came out pleasantly surprised. Wednesday night drink specials are pretty great. The food is, in my humble opinion, a notch above the comparable establishments in Broad Ripple. I appreciate how clean this Kilroy's is, even if it's new. The bar tenders and wait-staff were really attentive during my visit - one server even came around with full water glasses, replacing patrons' empty cups as she made her way through. Its got lots of comfortable booths and plenty of bar space; I don't think this place even needs lights, the whole bar 'glows' from the plasma screens. As to be expected: lots of bros, especially on the weekends. But, this would be my go-to choice when grabbing some brews and watching the game. Hell, no matter what way you turn your head, you're going to be watching it,even if you didn't want to. I'm a fan of Kilroy's in downtown Indy, but I prefer this location much more.

I would give a 5 if the prices were cheaper. Great food. TV's everywhere for sporting events. Good service. Beautiful servers and patrons. Best BBQ in town.
