I have no idea what all the hubub is about. The subs are huge Ill give them that, but there are much better places that are cheaper as well. The bread is weird and has too much corn meal on the bottom of it and the sub itself tasted just like something I could have gotten from subway, except I paid more for it. Service was pretty slow. There is literally nothing that will bring me back to this place. I think Firehouse and Penn Station are WAAAAAAAY better. Must be an east coast thing...

Had a friend suggest this for lunch and I hadn't been to one. Was very impressed with the amount of fresh meat loaded into each sandwich compared to competitors. Toppings are good/fresh and they will put as much or as little on as you would like. Service was nice and quick. Facility was clean. Great lunch!! Similar but not quite as good when you compare the meat is Subway or Jimmy Johns or any other sub shack!

I have been going to Jersey Mike's for years - at least as long as they have been in town. I have been to a number of shops in different locations around Indy, and they are all good, but this location, 38th St., is always consistently the best for service and preparation. I have tried a number of different subs here, and all are very good, but i usually stick with two tried-and-true winners: The #56, the Big Kahuna, which is a Philly cheese steak with extra cheese, mushrooms, and two kinds of peppers ( unfortunately I can't eat the peppers, they and my gastrointestinal tract do not work and play well together). Although I am not a Philadelphia resident, I have eaten a cheese steak or two in that town, and Jersey Mike's version comes as close as I have found anywhere, with the possible exception of The Cheese Steak Shop chain in the San Francisco bay area. This sub is juicy, tender, with the ingredients mixed together intimately in a fabulous medley of flavor - YUM. The "Original Italian", prepared "Mike's Way" has three kinds of flavorful Italian cold cuts in good quantity, with provolone and all the fixin's on a nice and tender yet sturdy sub roll. The prices are well in line with the quality and quantity of the subs. Also, if you get the "meal deal" they have one of the largest selections of different types of chips to choose from than you will find anywhere - just an extra added attraction. Go, enjoy, you won't be sorry.

Jersey Mike, I like your subs. Your employees, however, should be trained a little more. We were the only guests (2 adults and 1 child) in the store. The person taking the orders got one of the sandwiches wrong. I'm not sure how, it's easy enough to confirm them by number. We weren't offered any extra toppings, so I'm not sure if we could have gotten lettuce, tomatoes on a cheesesteak. There was some confusion as to whether or not we'd been rung up, since the person taking our order went to the back. The store manager came over to ring us up, realized they took the order wrong and apologized. When I said we all wanted drinks and chips, he rang up a regular drink for my daughter, despite the fact that her meal came with a drink. I quickly corrected him. Employee/cook was hanging in the kitchen window eating a sandwich. NONE of the tables were clean, so we chose the cleanest dirty table. They're either lazy or blind. Not impressed.

I live nearby and have been going to this location occasionally for several months now. They have always been more expensive than competitors, but the food is pretty good and I've been willing to pay a little more for the convenience of not having to drive farther to go somewhere else. I was shocked when I returned yesterday and ordered the same thing I've been getting for months and found the price had gone up almost $2 within just the past three weeks for a large meatball sandwich. I know prices increase over time, but $2 at once??? The prices were high before but now they're just ridiculous. I will not be returning any more. I will gladly drive a little farther to go to a competitor with as good or better quality food and MUCH more reasonable prices.

I have to write a separate review for this Jersey Mike's because they have fresh brewed iced tea in addition to their awesomely cut and prepared on site subs. Unlike Subway (yuck!) they don't peel your cheese or meat off some plastic and plunk it on a wedge of bread. Here, with lightning like speed, the sandwich crafter is slicing and slapping the goods on your bread straight from the slicer and I love it!

My boyfriend actually introduced me to this place, and I thank him every time I bite into their sub. How good can a cold sub be and why should I drive all the way to west side when I have Subway and Jimmy John's down the street? They slice their deli meat and cheese to order! Yes they have a meat slicer in the front and only slices their meat after a customer order it. Try their sub Mike's Way with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, E.V.O.O, red wine vinegar, and their special herb seasoning. It tastes great and I feel healthy eating it!
