This was a fun little event on a cold evening! First, big shout out to Brittany for bringing a little fun Yelp love to the Avon area! Woohoo! I was looking forward to this event in hopes of increasing my star opinion of Bagger Dave's and I would say they definitely succeeded! I really enjoyed the small crowd for this event, a bit different than the Yelp events I am used to but it was a great way to get to know some of the Elites better and made it easier for the business to interact with us. It started off with a sampling of some of their appetizers, my personal favorite was their artichoke dip, seriously, so good. I already told my husband that we are coming back just so he can try it! I also decided to go with the orange cream soda because it just sounded tasty and it definitely hit the spot, yum. We then got a sampling of some of their new burgers, I am sad because the pumpkin burger never came back out and I did not get to try it, I was intrigued by that one. Of the ones I did try, I was most pleased with the burger with blue cheese and olives, this is a big deal since I did not think I was going to like the olives but all the various flavors on this burger really worked well together. I am definitely recommending my husband try this one, since those are two of his favorite things. We then got to order a burger/sandwich of our choice from the menu. After a lot of debate [seriously, so many options], I decided to go with a common standby of mine, blue cheese and bacon burger with a few other toppings. It was delicious and a big improvement from the burger I had last time I came [which was dry]. I also tried the sweet potato chips this time with the cinnamon honey dipping sauce, amazing. I highly recommend those. I was stuffed and brought home half to my husband, along with a soda of his own, which was very nice of them to do. We agreed that we are going to come give them another chance!

I'm just a baby Elite and had never been to an event before, yet somehow I managed to pick a great one to pop my cherry. Bagger Dave's pulled out all the stops and treated us to a great time. The staff brought out samples of their specialty burgers and some of their apps, all of which were quite tasty. They did a great job explaining what they offer and guided us through the burger building process. We then got to order burgers and sides of our own. My burger came out nice and warm, cooked the way I ordered, and ready to eat with the loaded mac and cheese I chose for my side. The burger was great and I think I did a pretty god job picking my toppings. The mac and cheese was ok... there was maybe a little too much going on in it. I think next time I'd order fries or sweet potato chips instead. It was a great time and a great first for me. We left full of food and with a swag bag to boot. Thanks Dave!

Thank you Bagger Dave's! It was so great getting the opportunity to try so many different burgers! I loved the olive burger (not sure exact name) that we sampled before the meal, but you got me with that artichoke dip. DEEElicious. From my soda sampler, I was won over by the orange cream, and will most certainly be back to try some when I'm in your area. I went for the turkey burger with the buffalo garlic sauce: great choice. Our bearded server was delightful and knew exactly what to recommend for every unique palette at the table. Great place for an elite party and I will definitely be swinging in soon for some more of that soda!

The legendary tavern experience was pretty awesome. This pub-style burger joint is more laid back than Red Robin, but more snazzy than 5 Guys. Indiana comfort food now has a name: Bagger Dave's! The Build-A-Burger menu was definitely the most interesting. My burger creation was a black bean burger, swiss cheese, sautéed mushrooms, and a fried egg on a honey wheat bun. The black bean burger is quite nice! It's soft, but not so soft that it falls apart while you're eating it. For my side, of course I made it my mission to try their "homemade Artisan mac & cheese". Ugh, the warm, cheesy goodness is like a hug in a bowl! I also enjoyed the soda sampler for their homemade sodas. My flight included black cherry cream, ginger ale, root beer and cola. BBC was definitely my fav! They leaned more to the water side than the flavor side. I imagine that's because they actually use water to make it, not corn syrup. The staff members that helped us out were awesome! Josh was a total peach, giving us great insight into the menu with his positive, "right on, man" attitude. Dave also gave us some great intros to the samples. My fav sample was the spinach artichoke dip and the fiery blue cheese burger. Everything was made with real taste, real care, real simple! Bagger Dave's and Britt - thanks so much for giving the elites some comfy fud on a cold, cold night. Much appreciated!

Ugghhhh this is such a hard review to write. I want to tell you how great everything was and I can't wait to go back. Unfortunately that is not the case. But lets start out with the things that I liked.... I really felt like they pulled out all of the stops. They kept the food coming and I was definitely not hungry at the end of this party. They had apps on all the tables and then brought samples around for us all to try of their signature items. I really enjoyed the sriracha chicken sandwich. We also got to order some of their sodas they make. After sampling a few things we got to order a full meal. This is where the meal took a turn for the worst. I created my own burger. I was not impressed with the meat. The patty seemed frozen and not fresh and the bun tasted very stale. With the burger we also got a side, I chose the loaded mac and cheese and although it was an incredibly heavy dish it tasted pretty good. Around every corner there is a new burger place and you have to find something that sets you apart and unfortunately Bagger Dave's missed the mark.

If you sell hamburgers you should know how to cook them! Ordered one to go medium well, got it back to hotel room and it was medium rare and bloody, gross. Flavors were good, but the texture and look ruined the meal. Nothing is easier to cook than a burger, take the time to cook it right.

I had no idea what to expect coming in to this event. I couldn't tell if there was some sort of theme, or if it would be a light appetizer kind of thing with some mingling...but imagine my surprise when I arrived and found out that Bagger Dave's was basically just going to serve us everything on their menu! This is my kind of Yelp event. We started off with a lot of food. It was perhaps a little rapid-fire for me...I had trouble keeping it all straight as they delivered 5 different things for me to sample all at once! One of my favorite things I tried all night was the seasonal pumpkin turkey burger. I'm pro-pumpkin, but this probably isn't something I would've ordered on my own (I'm a little bit of a scaredy pants). It was so yummy though! After everything I tried, I decided that their turkey was the best meat I had. I also tried some nachos and flatbreads. I was pretty impressed with the sauces they used for everything. I wasn't a fan of the chicken on those appetizers. It was in the form of almost perfectly cubed chunks, which always makes me feel a little weird...I think shredded chicken would have been better. I was also a little disappointed with the chips. I'm worried that they just came out of a bag :( They have a pretty intense ordering system for burgers (very mix-and-match), which is great for a girl like me who loves toppings. I opted for a custom burger--4 oz. sirloin patty, brioche bun, cheddar, bacon, turkey chili, and sauteed onions. In case you lost count, that's 3 meats on one burger. The burger was made of great quality meat. They told us that medium meant "a little bloody" and that medium well meant "just a little pink". I think I ended up with a drier burger than I intended because I was thrown off by this. The buns were delicious (and there were other choices besides mine, including pretzel!). I would say that the chili was a "dry chili", meaning that it was a great topping because it wasn't sloppy and drippy all over my plate, but for those same reasons I probably wouldn't have eaten a bowl of it. I ordered fries with my burger. They were tasty and freshly cut, but they were crying out for some seasoning! I ordered a sampler of some of their in-house sodas (pomegranate, orange, root beer, and black cherry). Some of them were a little on the flat side, but they were all tasty. The pomegranate, which was actually the daily special, was definitely my favorite. Brittany and Bagger Dave's also made sure that we didn't leave without some goodies. We got a Bagger Dave's canvas bag (with a cool little water bottle pouch--I'm a fan), a bottle of their soda, and a coupon to subsidize our next trip to Bagger Dave's. It was an intimate little event (we were literally rubbing elbows with Elites), so I really enjoyed chatting with some other Yelpers and trading restaurant suggestions.
