    Great food and service. We came on a Sunday at noon, so of course there was a wait. However, they said 15 minutes, and it took 15 minutes, so I cannot complain. I ordered the Reuben. It was good, but not particularly memorable. I think the ratio was off. While I love lots of corned beef (and this was cooked well and not fatty), there was not enough sauerkraut or thousand island to balance it. The mimosas are delicious. So are the home fries and bacon. Yum. Service was very helpful and attentive. I would definitely go back. Everyone with me enjoyed what they had. My friend said the grits were fantastic.

    You know what- I like this place. There's something low-key and simple about it that reminds me of a small town diner with an elevated menu out of New Orleans. Think: crawfish, shrimp and grits on the menu. Oh, and how could I forget the biscuit beignets topped with powdered sugar and honey marmalade? A few of my favorites include the granola, fruit and quinoa convo with coconut milk w d fresh bananas. Pretty much anything you order will be tasty and at a reasonable price. Outdoor patio seating is available and the menu offers several options for those who are gluten free and veggie friendly.

    Place located on the north side of Indy. Great for breakfast/brunch. They also have a full bar which makes it nice if you want to have a mimosa or cocktail. The service is phenomenal! Although they got a couple of things wrong with my order ... They were quick to correct it and unexpectedly comped my meal. Will definitely be back bc service like this is rare and appreciated!

    This is one of my favorite, if not my favorite, brunch places in Indy. I always leave super full and satisfied. They have a wide variety of menu options, and you get a lot of food! My favorite is a the Bacquezo omelette. Bacon and cream cheese. Super not healthy obviously, but it is worth every calorie and artery clogging molecule! The service is usually good, and they have super cute mugs that you can also purchase. The wait times are pretty average for weekend brunch places. They do have free coffee while you wait! Overall, I have never been disappointed by the food here.

    I wonder if I'm in that Twilight Zone episode where the young woman is undergoing plastic surgery to correct the "deformities" that make everyone run from her in horror when they see her terrifying visage. But when we finally get to see the woman's face, post-surgery (which ends up being a complete failure) she's stunningly beautiful and everyone else around her is hideously deformed (that is, if you subscribe to the conventional idea of beauty where pulchritude means not having a horrible pig nose). It's all upside down. This is how I felt about my visit to Another Broken Egg Cafe. I had high hopes. I was so optimistic. I believed in the plastic surgeon's reassurances as he told the woman on the operating table that she would be transformed into something that was at least normal and not terrible to look at. The cafe was pleasant looking, it was full of attractive people, happily eating their breakfasts and playing that most Indiana of games, cornhole, outside on the sidewalk. The service was friendly and the breakfast menu was extensive. There were legions of positive Yelp reviews. What could go wrong? Well, a lot unfortunately. I ordered the Belgian waffle and made it a combo which included eggs and a choice of a meat (and I thought, but perhaps was mistaken, a side of potatoes). When I tried the first bite of the waffle, I was confounded...it tasted terrible. Bad. Awful. Salty and weird. Not like a Belgian waffle at all. Not even like an Eggo waffle. It was just plain terrible. I put more syrup on it, but the syrup didn't even taste like maple syrup, it was flavorless, watery, and not even sweet. I tried the breakfast sausage--it was hard, dry, overcooked, and one of the worst tasting sausages I've ever had. I had ordered eggs over easy and asked for them to be not too runny. The eggs were flat and sad, with raw yolks and whites, and were barely cooked along the edges. I could hardly bring myself to finish anything and as I'm a hearty eater, a meal's gotta be really bad for me to waste food like that. In the last scene of the Twilight Zone episode, we see the young woman, fleeing from her situation, running away from a world that we know is topsy turvy, where conventions of beauty are completely distorted. In the Twilight Zone, everyone else is normal and I must be the freak, but in the case of Another Broken Egg, that's fine by me.

    Finding a place like this NOT in the middle of downtown Indy was a welcome change for out of towners like myself! Great atmosphere, awesome coffee mugs, a killer steaming cinnamon roll appetizer, and having a very friendly waiter (Matt!) will have me back next time I'm in town for sure.

    Nice atmosphere & overall decent food. The food just Took. So. Long!! Approx a 35 min wait time on breakfast. Normally, this wouldn't bother me a whole lot if I'm able to sip coffee. Well, my cup sat empty for a good 10 minutes. I observed the people next to us get their food comped b/c it took so long. The manager and hostess were super friendly to this walking in, which was cool to see. The Lucy is an excellent dish, but you may want to skip the pancakes. Heavy and not a whole lot of flavor.

    Stopped in at Another Broken Egg for the first time today. My friend and I were up in the Carmel area and craving some morning drinks. We decided food might also be a good option and chose Another Broken Egg as neither of us had been there before. As is typical with brunch restaurants in the Indy area, there was a wait. We were told that it would be 15-20 for a table of two. 30 mins later, another 2 top came in and was told the same wait time but that the bar was open seating. We may have raced to the bar at that point. Our bartender was very nice and funny. We ordered a mimosa and a Bloody Mary. Later I found out about their special pomegranate mimosa- but I had already ordered a regular. The drinks were good. A very solid Bloody Mary and mimosa. The mimosa had fresh orange juice in it, which really helped with giving the drink a bit of tartness. The Bloody Mary was fairly standard- however they do use vodka that they infuse in house, so that made it stand out a bit. I do wish that they didn't use a bottled mix. We ordered food and then waited. And waited. And waited. Our orders were basic- a pancake with bacon and scrambled eggs and the traditional which had 2 sunny side up eggs, an English muffin, and potatoes. It took well over 30 mins to get our food. Everything was alright. The pancake was a bit too sweet for my liking (too much vanilla extract). Everything else was good, but nothing really stood out. I do have to say that the service we received was excellent. The manager came to check on us, we were greeted quickly, and all the staff was very pleasant. Based on this, I would consider giving them another try and perhaps order one of the more specialty items on the menu. However, I will make sure that I don't wait until I'm starving before going in.

    I like beignets. The first time I had the beignets at Another Broken Egg, the were amazing and cooked to perfection. The second time I had them, they were extremely hot, too crunchy and tasted a little burnt. My wife and I tried a few bites and stopped eating them. The breakfast food was good. I'd eat it again. I had the "Hey Lucy" The restaurant is a place to go when you have time. I would go for work lunch because I don't think I could get in and out in under an hour. Overall I would go here again but it is not a place I am craving to get back to.

    Yummy breakfast! The coffee was really good too I had two cups. I ordered the eggs Benedict they don't put holladaise sauce but that was okay I am trying to eat more healthy. The service was great as well. Overall really good spot!!

    This is my favorite breakfast-brunch-lunch place EVER. All of the servers are fantastic, and the ambience is exactly what I want for a brunch restaurant. I love the cinnamon roll French toast for an indulgence, but the Veggie omelet made with egg whites is my standby. Oh, and I love the potatoes and the fruit! Don't underestimate your side items! There's a full bar, and there are weekly specials on mimosas and such. The company does work with charitable organizations such as Gleaners Food Bank and Pink Leaf, so that's great. They're always striving to be better and better, which I really appreciate. You can't beat this place.

    Been meaning to hit this place up for a while was off on Friday so after dropping the kid off took wifey out here to get some desayuno. Got in around 11, place was transitioning into lunch mode but my stomach was set on breakfast. I used to be a huge grits fan but since I've transitioned my diet, grits are rarely on the menu, bacon, chives and cheese along with roasted garlic I'm down. Should have been fantastic actually needed salt, and I don't salt anything. Weird start. Haven't had eggs benedict in a hundred yrs, got the benedict Oscar with flat steak topped with crabmeat and asparagus, wife got the lobster brie omelet. Everything came out looked great and was really delicious, the benedict topped the brie omelet but not by much. Menu is fairly eclectic with emphasis on southern/Louisiana style. Portions more than enough, price point fair, will hit this place up again in the future to get my sweet potato pancake on.

    French Toast Cinnamon Roll. Yes, that's a cinnamon roll covered in French toast batter and grilled, with bananas foster syrup, berries, and whipped cream on top. This dish blew my mind (even though I overstuffed myself with it!) The mochaccino, brie starter (I'm not sure if it was a good idea to get a starter for breakfast, but we felt compelled by the delicious looking menu items), and omelet my mom got were also fantastic. Service? Yep, that was great too. We had to wait a bit due to it being Saturday brunch time, but no biggie - there was free coffee and mini muffins while we waited. The atmosphere was busy but light and pleasant, as well. The waitress was friendly, fast, and complimented my Doctor Who shirt - what more can you ask for?! I can't think of anything they could've done better! It's a new favorite north side brunch place.

    Great restaurant with great personal service. Went there for the first time on June 6, 2015 and loved it! It's located in a nice neighborhood on a nice side of the town. I was immediately impressed with the outdoor seating arrangements and the wonderful attention to detail with the decor. This is definitely a place you want to go for a wonderful start to your day with your loved one. I went there with my fiancé and she loved everything about it. When you want to leave the beaten path and try something different and more personalized this is it. You can have breakfast at the bar and watch sporting events on a large flat screen TV, or you can be seated at a quiet table and enjoy a wonderful breakfast. Just about every breakfast related food item you could think of was given a personalized custom touch with their spin on it. I started things off with a cup of hot chocolate, and I was very satisfied with how good it tasted and very impressed with the presentation. I ordered the city grits with the supreme omelette and one pancake. John was my server but several people including the manager would come around regularly and check on us and made us feel very welcomed. Because there was so many items on the menu that sounded delicious to us, we definitely plan on coming back to check out The rest of the menu. I hope your visit will be just as pleasant and enjoyable as ours was.

    I was going to leave a pretty scathing review after my experience here today but good management goes a long way in changing my opinion. I've had decently long wait times (half hour probably) for food here in the past, which, hey, on a weekend when they're slammed, is fine. Annoying, but it happens. Today though, we waited over 50 minutes for our food. Our sever was aware of this and I felt bad being upset with her because it wasn't her fault. But, she did say the kitchen always backs up around noon and can't keep up with orders. Okay? Unacceptable at a busy breakfast place. When I actually got my food, it was delicious. I got the Hey Lucy and the eggs, potatoes and toppings were all perfect. The manager comped our order which I appreciate but I still probably won't be back anytime soon. I feel bad saying this because this really is one of my favorite weekend brunch places but the wait for food today, especially when it seems like kitchen problems are becoming the norm here, will probably deter me from coming back to ABE.

    Creative southern breakfast cafe with creole flair. We had the sweet potato pancake, southern biscuit beignets, and egg white omelette. The portion sizes are huge. The pancake's flavor was superb and the spicey pecan topping was a great twist of flavor. The beignets were a bit heavy but still pretty good overall. Service was cheery and polite. Definitely a place we will go back to for breakfast for lunch.

    Had a lovely brunch with my family. Service is very warm and friendly. Biscuit beignets were awesome! Definitely eat them first when they are good and hot! Shrimp and grits is very good. Is up there with shrimp and grits I had at SNOB in Charleston, SC. We had a little wait when we arrived, but that is to be expected at Sunday brunch. Warm mini muffins were a delight while we were waiting. After we ordered, meals arrived super fast to our table. Will definitely return!

    Outstanding food (gotta get the beignets!!) and service! Southwestern scramble and Lakeshore Scramble were very yummy and the French Toast served Bananas Fosters style was the bomb!! Our server Amanda was so great...very helpful and friendly. Highly recommend Another Broken Egg!!

    Wow, what a great place for breakfast with family. Friendly staff, fast service and you can request to sit in the Nest that has TV and gives your family some privacy. Food was excellent. French toast and Fried Green Tomato BLT is a must.

    Another Broken Egg isn't what I thought it would be. It's a restaurant from the South, and the decor feels like Florida...bright colors, plants, almost Spanish style. Lots of seafood on the menu, like crawfish and shrimp in omelettes (although there are plenty of options w/o seafood if it's not your thing.) But then...there's a bar. With a big screen TV playing sports. You can order alcoholic drinks. I was a little thrown off, because I was expecting a quaint cafe. Definitely a different take. Service was okay. The waitress wasn't overly friendly, and seemed rushed to take our orders. I got the "Hey Lucy" w/ chorizo, avocado, cheese, onions, chilies, and cheddar jack. It came w/ a side of sour cream and spicy salsa, 2 English muffins, and there seasoned potatoes that taste JUST like french fries (in a good way). Overall a good lunch/brunch serving for around $12. I would go for something less spicy in the future because this was a little too much for me in the brunchtime hours.

    My wife says "I've been here only twice and I love the Cinnamon roll French toast! Bananas Foster sauce, fresh berries, homemade whipped cream! Yum! Also, the chocolate milk is awesome". The young man working as host was so friendly and professional. He checked on us a couple times and we could hear his interactions with others. What a wonderful young man! His name was Brandon.

    This place is delicious. The waffle sliders were everything a McGriddle wishes it could be and more. Our server, Matthew, recommended them to me. He has excellent taste and his service matched. Also tried the elegantly delicious Lafitte's Tortilla. Words cannot describe your palette's delight. Add in mimosas, sangria, and Bloody Mary's? Just not even fair to other breakfast establishments. Coming back and coming back often.

    Omelettes were incredible - cooked to perfection and great presentation. We had the Hey Lucy and the Bacquezo omlettes....and will again. The seasoned potatoes also fresh and crisp with great flavor on their own. Coconut cream is available upon request and tasted fantastic in the coffee. Bethany at the bar was outstanding. Thanks for a great first experience at the cafe'!

    Delicious food, great service, and expensive to boot! Had their B.L.A.S.T. (Bacon, Lettuce, Avocado, Swiss cheese, and Tomato) sandwich yesterday on rye bread. Melt in your mouth delish although I still feel like a similar sandwich at Rosie's in Noblesville is way better! You can choose chips or fresh fruit as your side and I opted for the fruit. I will say that their fruit is always fresh and delicious. Great atmosphere! Makes for a fun lunch meeting. But, the prices are cray! You can't get out of there w/o spending a week's worth of gas on your meal if you're with a few friends.

    I can't tell you how excited I was to wake up with Husband on board with brunch on a Saturday morning. As I've mentioned before, I'm a BIG fan of all manner of sweet breakfast goodness. Husband is more of a savory breakfast consumer, when he's even interested. Perfect start to the weekend. We were so happy with the food on our last visit to Another Broken Egg, we settled on that as our breakfast location. We did, however, opt to visit closer to the noon hour, hoping a less busy atmosphere might provide us a better service experience, which was our only issue last time around. We made the right choice. Clearly. It was in the top five of our breakfast experiences. Promptly greeted by Bethany, we had drinks in front of us in mere minutes. Husband opted again for the Bloody Mary special. Which is devastatingly delicious, I might add. I was still in a coffee mood, so I gave her free choice on my drink. She brought me a Cafe Hoosier. Brilliant choice. I was somewhat skeptical about a rum/tequila combination in my coffee, but I couldn't have been happier. Score one for Bethany. We skipped the apps this time and headed straight for breakfast. Husband was torn between ordering his beloved Floridian omelet and trying something new. Bethany suggested the Crabcakes Cavallo. Husband's face on first bite was pure delight. I opted for the basic Eggs Benedict. Fabulous. I don't know how they train to poach eggs at this place, but they have definitely achieved perfection, not to mention consistency. As expected, the food was just excellent. And so was the service, this time around. Bethany was a ton of personality and gave us the right amount of attention and alone time. Not to mention a bit of entertainment. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. We're already talking about what we'd like to try on our next visit!

    Did not have a great experience here at breakfast today. We tried some oatmeal and yogurt along with breakfast beignets. The flavor of the food was fine, though the gussied up yogurt made me feel like I was being really overcharged for a cup of chobani. Coffee was just ok. Service was friendly, but slow and it took some time and we had to ask first where our food was and then for our check. Might give it another try to test out some signature items on their menu, but doesn't feel like a great breakfast option for a normal weekday. **wanted to make a note that the manager here dropped me a nice email asking me to come back in and give them another try. Really nice touch, I will do that and give this an update soon!

    The best eggs Benedict and pancakes ever. It was worth the 30 minute wait. We ate at the bar and had great service by Bethany a very pleasant and professional bartender. I highly recommend this restaurant!!

    Good; interesting breakfast options you don't get elsewhere (crab and fish with eggs)cocktails and coffee-good seasoning and fun diner/sort of upscale ambiance You can buy their cool mugs, but a little pricey. I recommend sitting at the bar/quicker service I receive when I'm right in front of employees.

    I've been here several times because of their close vicinity to my place of employment, and it's great. The service is great, the food is good, but it's a bit on the expensive end in comparison to other brunch places. I have tried their reuben several times, which is good but not mind blowing. But then I ventured out of my comfort zone and tried the Cafe Burger, and it may have been one of the greatest food decisions I've ever made. Let me tell you about my love affair with this burger. It has roasted onion, sun dried tomatoes, chopped bacon, blue cheese crumbles, aioli, and fresh basil... on a burger... all served on ciabatta bread. Holy S$%^!!!! I think the Cafe Burger is one of the few burgers I've ever had that I actually crave. The only thing that holds me back from having this on a daily basis is the fact that my wallet can't handle my love for the Cafe Burger! So instead I enjoy it on special occasions. I will say that they lose a little bit in the consistency book for me because I've gone a few times and not had the greatest overall experience. So if only they lowered their prices a tiny bit, and raised their level of consistency, this would be an easy 5 stars. But let me recommend trying the Cafe Burger next time you go here... you won't be disappointed.

    My little sister drove into Indy for a visit and mentioned food. Actually, she mentioned Panera Bread, which I objected to immediately. I knew I needed to help her come out from under the rock she was living and into the light. This comfortable and casual cafe boasts a Southern feel with a healthy twist. The variety of menu options is something you don't see in most breakfast joints. The waitress was more than kind and attentive. When we ordered coffee, she brought two bowls: one filled with individual creamers and one empty to put the empty creamer containers into. Smart girl. Started with the baked brie delight. The name says it all. Perfect, yummy starter. My pick was the granola, fruit, and quinoa. Such a fabulous combo of flavors, textures, and colors. I love this dish. Sis went for the 2 small potato pancakes. Just sub'd the two regular pancakes in the breakfast combo. "Yum!" She said with a mouth full of pancake. Just be careful - portion sizes are quite large, so go hungry! I do declare, it was a delightful brunch! Our waitress offered to-go coffees with the check. Why, thank you! I've always relied on the kindness of strangers...with coffee.

I didn't expect that at all and David clearly didn't have to take his time to write me and/or offer any kind of compensation. But, that's what good managers do. Thanks to Dave and ABE!

    Amazing food as well as EGG-cellent service! I had the Oscar Benedict, which was fantastic, and multiple employees, including our server, offered very friendly advice and conversation during my visit. The food was prepared in a timely and visually appealing manner.

    I've been to ABEC several times but all of my reviews are about the amazing sweet potato pancake. It's time to branch out. Blood Mary I'm not a huge fan of the blood Mary. I like salt, a lot, but they are typically too much for me. ABEC's version is not overpowered by salt, which lets the ingredients shine through. Fuzzy's vodka, pickled okra, carrot slice. It was quite delicious. Biscuit Beignets ($4.99 for 8) I've had these before. If you like sweets, you'll like these. I find them to be overly covered in powdered sugar. Appetizers for breakfast is always a weird concept for me, but if you're going for it, these are a decent value and easily split between 4 people. Eggs Benedict ($10.99) I'm not a huge benedict fan, mostly because I don't like hollandaise. The ham was well cooked and the eggs were perfectly poached. I can't ask for much more in a benedict. Granola, Fruit & Quinoa ($9.79) This is probably the healthiest dish on the menu, and definitely the healthiest thing I've tried. The price may originally come as a sticker shock, but take another look at the huge list of quality product you are getting in this dish: pecans, granola, quinoa, fresh fruit, coconut milk and flakes, and yogurt. Its top notch. I don't like coconut (Read: I HATE coconut). So I opted for no milk and no flakes on my banana. The quinoa has coconut milk in it, but not enough to stand out, just enough to add flavor. The downside of this dish were the overly toasted pecans. The granola was good, but it gave a burnt taste when you got one of the pecans. Additionally, I would prefer the dish to be served with more of a yogurt base and a granola topping rather than a granola base and yogurt topping. The serving size is quite generous, adding to the value of this dish. Cinnamon Roll French Toast ($10.99) It is incredibly sweet. If you finish it by yourself I recommend a long nap and a shot of insulin. This dish also contains the house made whipped cream, which you'll find on many dishes. It is clearly fresh and very delicious. Southern Shrimp Salad ($10.99) This dish was extremely tasty. Perfectly cooked shrimp, multiple types of lettuce/greens, and sprouts! Almost nowhere serves sprouts these days! As a bonus, they serve the house made vinaigrette on the side. I love that. I always order my dressing on the side (and rarely get it delivered that way). Note: The salad is HUGE. You definitely get a great value on this one. Club Supreme ($9.99) Nothing about it was overly memorable. The highlight of the sandwich was the bacon. I love bacon (who doesn't) and I prefer my bacon crispy, which is clearly the best preparation. ABEC bakes their bacon, so it is thick, crispy, and wonderful. Shrimp 'n Grits ($13.69) This dish has a lot of hype. Its very popular in the south and seems to come with a heavy recommendation from the staff at ABEC. My dish had overcooked shrimp. My hypothesis is that a large batch of shrimp were sautéed at once and I got reheated leftover shrimp. Furthermore, I found the grits to be very bland. Yes, they are topped with a buttery sauce, but if you dig into the grits alone they lack seasoning. Café Burger ($9.99) I love burgers. A lot. Well, I love moist, medium-rare beef. This was not that. The aioli was tasty and the bun was fresh, but the burger was cooked to death. Granted I was not asked how I would like my burger cooked, it was served well done. Thus, I cannot say they overcooked the burger by mistake, but I also cannot say they will give you the option to order it properly cooked. Overall, I maintain my position that ABEC is a great place to work into your breakfast/brunch rotation. Furthermore, if you go for brunch, they have a full bar so it's an easy decision to make it a boozy brunch. Food Taste: 4/5 Food Quality: 4/5 Service: 3/5 Value: 3/5 Consistency: 3/5 Overall: 3.5/5

    This is borderline between A-OK and Meh. Why? Let's start with tea or coffee at $2.69. FruFru teabags, made of cloth, filled with maybe a third of an ounce of tea. It gets more expensive from there, with omelets beginning at $11. ELEVEN DOLLARS. Ok, I'll admit, the omelet's pretty tasty. I tried the Hey Lucy!, hold the chorizo, please. Indeed if you're vegetarian or close, gonna be tough for you. Vegan? Outta luck. Go away. In the background, even playing LOUDLY outside, a long medley of 1970's R&B, not so loud inside that you can't think. You get a large paper towel as a napkin, but actual steel silverware with water spots on them. The WiFI works. Logon the guest network, please. There are two. The service was great, almost to the point of pestering. Flipping tables is a concern here, but it's a breakfast/lunch joint and doesn't seat a huge crowd. Power breakfasts could be managed. After all, it's across the street from the 96th St & Meridian Office Ghetto. An officer will guide you into the center from 96th to apologize for horrid zoning and architectural planning and internecine factionalism between Marion and Hamilton Counties. Bottom line: the food is good, and you pay what I consider to be: extra for it. It's pretentious, and a poor value. This is a far cry from Denny's I'll admit. But Le Peep and other breakfast places seem more sane and sanely priced than this franchised location.

    Decided to venture over to Another Broken Egg Cafe one Saturday morning for brunch with some friends. Was pleasantly surprised with the vast menu. However, one friend being gluten free had very few choices when it came to ordering. The only gluten free options were: fruit plate, GF pancake and black bean sliders. I would raise the star rating if they were to add more gluten free options. I ordered the club supreme sandwich which was a great lunch dish. Quite filling as it is cut in four and served with country potatoes. Overall another great breakfast option for the Keystone at the Crossing area!

    I'm not a fan of breakfast food as a rule so I love that this place has a great selection of brunch and lunch options. My favorite thing on the menu is the shrimp salad. Shrimp in Indiana is a hard thing to enjoy, yet somehow these little grilled devils are succulent and flavorful and make the salad a delicious lunch option. Other notable meals include the shrimp and grits and the club sandwich.

    What a treat to find another location of Another Broken Egg Cafe! I knew of the location in Florida and was glad to see one in Indy when I yelped "brunch" on a recent visit. The location could be easy to miss if you're not looking for it or don't know where it specifically is. Located in a strip mall, it is set back from the road on busy Meridian Blvd. my friend and I arrived around 9:30 on a Friday morning and it was packed. We were given a quote of a 20 minute wait and took a buzzer. One star got docked for "Broken Egg's" rating when the seating order got screwed around. 2 parties who arrived after us were seated before us. After waiting over 25 minutes, I went back to the front desk and asked what our wait would be. The employee had a hard time finding our name and -- apparently -- the person who took our name down wrote it in the wrong column. Don't mess with me when I want brunch! My friend (who is incidentally expecting and this "eating for two") was not amused. Rather than rectify the mistake by offering to seat us immediately, a few more people were seated ahead of us and we were told it would be another 5-10 minutes before we could sit. All that hoopla aside, the breakfast tasted delicious. I ordered Eggs Benedict and didn't feel guilty in the least for devouring it as soon as it arrived. The hollandaise sauce it came with was the perfect flavor. A friend of mine was right when she said you could probably cover a tire in hollandaise and it would taste amazing. Thankfully, no tires were in sight that morning and we left as two happy, no-longer-hungry people.

    I was on the far northside for a doctor's appointment early in the morning, so I figured I'd have some breakfast before going into work. At 8:30 AM, the atmosphere is very lively-- I like being at busy restaurants because that lets me know that the food is good. I went for just a regular cup of joe, which they served in a custom mug. For breakfast, I had the fruit, granola, and blueberry quinoa. Way too good! There are so many fantastic brunch places in Naptown-- and Another Broken Egg is definitely one of them!

    It would be 5 stars, but the wait---there's always a wait no matter what day I go on or what time I go in. The nice thing is that they offer coffee to waiting people, and in the summer it's nice to stand outside. The food is delicious. They have a wide selection of both traditional breakfast items and more contemporary items. I HIGHLY recommend the cinnamon roll french toast. It's not cinnamon bread, but an actual cinnamon roll. The banana's foster sauce on top is divine, and the fresh berries and whipped cream are a nice touch. Also recommend the beignets as a breakfast appetizer. They're super messy and sweet, but they're well worth it. They have crunchy exteriors, soft inside, and the marmalade sauce that comes with is really tasty.

    This visit I order the traditional breakfast with my substitutions of egg whites, rye toasts, seasoned potatoes, and 4 oz. steak for $10.99. It tasted fine (I had to get use to the healthy rye bread) but I wished there was more steak for the bucks. Remember to get your frequent eaters' card punched.

    This wasn't your typical breakfast joint. I wasn't expecting anything fancy. I wasn't expecting to have a mimosa at 1 pm. I wasn't expecting it to LITERALLY be a breakfast/brunch spot that closes at 2 pm every single day. All of these things happened and surprised me - and I left Another Broken Egg Café with a smile on my face. Their menu was extensive and full of items I'd never heard of before. At 1, I was still in the mood for breakfast foods, so I decided to spend time on the omelet section. As we were deciding on what we wanted to order, our waitress sneakily convinced my friend and me to order mimosas. I had NO intention of drinking alcohol with my breakfast, but it happened. I love me a mimosa! When people come to visit me from out of town and are in the mood for going out for breakfast, I will definitely remember this spot.

    Again I wasn't disappointed with the service or the food. This Easter breakfast was very good. The staff present themselves well and are polite. If you go today they're accepting walk ins. They do take reservations. Call ahead if you can't invest your time.

    This statement is probably going to make me un-American, but I'm not a huge breakfast food eater. I never wake up wanting pancakes or crave a Belgian waffle. That being said, I was very happy that Another Broken Egg has lunch items in addition to their traditional breakfast fare. I came here for a tasting event about a month ago (I'm kind of behind on my reviews) and sampled eight different items ranging from beignets (so good) to blueberry quinoa with yogurt and granola to ABEC's signature burger. There was nothing wrong with the breakfast food, I'm just not a big fan all around. Being a southern restaurant, a lot of it was heavy. I did really like the beignets with the honey marmalade though! My favorite thing I tried was their Cafe Burger: roasted onions, sun dried tomatoes, chopped bacon, bleu cheese crumbles with roasted garlic aioli & fresh basil. It was amazing! I was too full to eat it at the time, but when I heated it up a few days later in my toaster oven, it was everything I hoped it would be. I'll have to go back and check it out again and skip the breakfast food. For those of you who are normal and like breakfast food (I'm looking at you Leslie Knope), ABEC is a great place for breakfast, brunch, and lunch!

    I am going to dream of these beignets and marmalade. Oh, that marmalade. They were definitely the star of the show for me, but let's get to the nitty gritty. The restaurant itself is wedged in a strip mall in the far reaches of the north side. I am a downtown girl, so getting me to the north side takes a lot of convincing. I have to say, this was worth it. The decor is bright and airy and the food is fantastic. We started with the beignets (have I mentioned how great these were?) and then I moved on to Simply Salmon. The salmon tasted fresh and it had a great seasoning rub on it. It was laid on a bed of greens, garlic, mushrooms, and asparagus. So good. Whenever I can have an excuse to pretty much eat a few whole cloves of garlic, it's a good day. My plate priced out around $13 and it was well worth the asking price. You could go in here for a simple breakfast and spend under $10, or get a little fancy and push it to $20-25. I feel like it would be a great experience either way.

    Some of the best service you can find at a restaurant. Starting with the guy that seated us to our waiter, everyone seemed happy to be working here. The place is also extremely clean and nice looking inside. Food was amazing with a nice variety of breakfast / brunch items. I had the Floridian and it was amazing. Great portions, food, service and cleanliness. If you're looking for breakfast food and any of that is important to you, head here asap.

    A truly outstanding restaurant. Everything from the decor to the service to the food itself was outstanding. Three us shared the lobster omelet, the crab cake skillet and the shrimp grits. The shrimp were fresh and not over cooked. Very tasty. The potatoes that accompanied all three dishes were also done to perfection - crispy in the outside and moist and flavorful on the inside. The coffee, served in hand-crafted ceramic mugs, is their own blend. I very rarely give five stars to a restaurant, but Another Broken Egg is more than worthy of them.

    Ohhhh emmmmm geeeeeee. Soooo good. Sooooo good. Sooooo good. I haven't been since they opened and now I know why - b/c it's SOOOOO good and you clean your over-caloried plate in five flat minuets! I sat at the bar and ordered a mid-day glass of wine. Service was fast, friendly and fun. My friend arrived and she got the BLAST which looked amazing and I cleaned up the Oscar Benedict. it reminds of something I'd get at Royal Plantation in Jamaica and it is seriously one of my favorite things to indulge in. The price is $14.99 and completely reasonable. It came out fast and the eggs with the steak were cooked perfectly. I realize this is not the best cut of meat but it is so perfectly balanced with the egg and muffin. I love it. I want more. Soon. But not too soon. Soooooo good Sooooo good.

    I'll be completely honest and let you know that when I checked out Another Broken Egg cafe, it was a private dinner that was arranged through Yelp. That being said: It was SO SO SO good! This is a serious brunch place with some serious plates that have a New Orleans twist. I had salmon on wilted greens with vegetables (not terribly brunchy but oh so very good). I also sampled the shrimp and grits (my Texas family would be pleased with these grits), the bananas foster french toast (it's HUGE), and the eggs benedict. Oh and you better believe you need to get the beinets -- little fried donuts with a lemon honey sauce. This place has a full liquor license too, which made for an extra special treat. They can serve mimosas and bloody mary's. I'm not a big bloody mary drinker, but this was excellent and came with pickled okra. I'm looking forward to heading back soon to try a few other dishes from the menu. I'm told the gluten free pancakes are excellent as well.

    It's always nice and a bit difficult to find a breakfast place that has not only great food, but also isn't like every other breakfast place. The menu here was hugely diverse with traditional pancakes, omelets, etc. but also some unique dishes like Huevos Rancheros, Shrimp and Grits, and all different kinds of Benedicts. They even had crawfish in some of the dishes which I love. They also have lots of breakfast cocktails and breakfast appetizers - which is definitely something new. We had the biscuit beignets which were amazing! Portions were large which is good because it's a little pricey. Overall, a really solid dining experience with excellent food and service.

    For the most part everything was ok... I think I was most excited about the shrimp and grits and it was ok... However the biscuit and gravy failed me terribly. The biscuits were nice and soft but the gravy was so thick and kinda tasteless... Will have to give them another try.

    It's my new favorite place to go for brunch. The lines can be long on weekends but they will treat you with free coffee and pastries while you wait. Their lobster and Brie omelette is to die for! Seriously... I've never had an omelette as decadent as this one. My hubby loves his banana foster waffles. They have a great selection of their kids meal. Their Brie appetizer is to die for as well. This place is worth the wait on weekends.

    Despite spilling my plate of Bananas Foster French Toast all over my lap, I thought Another Broken Egg Cafe was not just another breakfast place. First off, I love breakfast food so any place that serves breakfast already has at least half my heart without having to do anything. Another Broken Egg Cafe easily won the other half of my heart though. We started out with a plate of beignets for our breakfast appetizer (because obviously your breakfast needs a starter course!). Those beignets were DELISH X1000. I've never had a beignet before, but these were great. They had a wonderful dipping sauce as well. For my main breakfast course, I ordered (as mentioned above) the Bananas Foster French Toast. If you're not in the mood for something sweet and delectable, then don't order this, but if you are, then you'll love it. I definitely got my day's worth of sugar intake, but it was wonderful. The french toast was of the thicker variety which I love and it wasn't too soggy or dry... just perfect. I could have had more bananas on my french toast if I must be picky, but otherwise it was wonderous. Other people got more savory dishes (omelettes, salmon, eggs benedict) and all of that looked great too. I think next time I'd get savory just because it I am full for longer, but this entre definitely satisfied my sweet tooth :) The atmosphere was nice - my only qualm is the location. It's not convenient for me, but I'm sure it is for many. It's a bit too far north for my liking, and I hope they expand down to the Broad Ripple area. If they do, I'll be there every Sunday for sure :) I definitely recommend this place and I honestly feel that anything you get to eat would be good. Try this place out!!

    Another Broken Egg is the perfect spot for breakfast or lunch. I've now been here three times and continue to try new items from my orders and others' sharing plates. Nothing has disappointed me and with many items I'm still looking forward to sampling. The Broken Egg wait staff continues to exemplify what other wait staffs should strive toward. Part of the charm here is the staff and the feeling of feasting in a 5 star vacation resort whether at breakfast or lunch. I've brought friends here and they all love the diverse menu from New Orleans style food to basic pancakes or grits. As if, there's anything basic coming out of this kitchen. All has been wonderful from the Biscuit Beignets with honey marmalade, Banana Foster French Toast, Sweet Potato Pancake, Cajun Potato Skillet with Andouille sausage, crawfish, garlic, onion and peppers, Skinny Omelette, Popeye's Favorite Scrambled Skillet, Crab Cakes Cavallo, Shrimp and Grits, Simply Salmon, Baked Brie, the homemade sausage or bacon, Bloody Mary's, Mimosas, to the simply dish of Blackberry Grits. Everything has been delicious and I'm sure you'll find your favorites as we have. My last visit here with friends lasted three hours and NEVER once did the waiter act if we should leave. He continued to bring coffee, ask if we needed anything, even as we apologized for the lengthy stay he urged us to stay as long as we wanted. Again, just one of the reasons this has become a favorite place to take friends. I hope they'll open another on the west side of the city or Avon.

    So breakdown... 4 stars for the beignets, 3.5 for service, 1.5 for the food So I found this place after yelping because I was in Indy for work. A friend of mine and I went here to catch up and it started out great! Not too long of a wait, mini blueberry muffins and coffee to hold off the "hangry" people and an ample waiting area. We waited for about 20 mins and then got seated. Menu has a good variety but we started with the beignets. One word. AMAZING!! So good and fresh and yummy. We should have stopped there honestly, but instead we ate on. My friend and I judge a breakfast place by their eggs Benedict. So she ordered that and I got the buttermilk pancakes. Both were pretty disappointing. Maybe it was the beignets, but the the two dishes we had were just bland in comparison. The buttermilk pancakes were dense and not really that flavorful. The hollandaise sauce had absolutely no flavor. We were both pretty disappointed considering the positive start. Finally the service. The waiter did his normal checking in which was great. But at one point he poured coffee into my mocha. He was apologetic, took my mug and got me a brand new mocha for free! If that isn't great service, I don't know what is. Overall, a decent place to get a bite to eat. Their menu is more than just breakfast, so I wondering if their lunch menu is better than some of their breakfast staples.

    I hosted an event at Another Broken Egg Cafe back in the fall, and they were completely fabulous to work with. Another Broken Egg was extremely accommodating to our group's desired hours for the event (we hosted it in the evening after the restaurant had closed), dietary restrictions, and budget. We had a completely customized menu with drink specials, delicious food, and a spacious, clean atmosphere. The manager was also very responsive and pleasant to work with. Can't say enough good things about the experience! We will definitely be hosting events there again in the future!

    Pathetic is the only word I can think of to describe the experience I had this morning. I have never seen such an amply staffed restaurant fail so miserably. It took 10 minutes for our server to greet us, 20 minutes to get our beverages and another thirty minutes to get our food. Our server was clearly in the weeds.....not sure how that was possible given the amount of servers, bussers, and food runners on the floor. We were sitting right in front of the main counter. The hostess, manager and other various staff members could clearly see the lack of attention we received but no one bothered to question our lack of beverages and/or food. It baffles me that both the hostess and the manger continued to seat new guests instead of allowing staff the few extra minutes to take care of the guests that were already sitting at tables. The food, when is finally came, was decent. Judging by the wilting lettuce and tepid eggs it had clearly sat for a bit before being delivered to our table. Had we not our had hungry kiddos celebrating their last day of school in tow, we would have walked out. Yet somehow the manager, who blatantly ignored me when I tired to get his attention, noticed that we were leaving and wished us a good day. It's safe to say that we will not return. I would rather spend a few more dollars and eat at Petite Chou.

    Breakfast is my favorite meal. I love having breakfast for dinner and wish these guys were open late! That said, this place is bright and cheerful. The staff seems friendly and the bloody mary comes with pickled okra. I fell in love with New Orleans the first time I visited. The menu is inspired by NOLA. They have an app - beignet biscuits served with honey marmalade. I absolutely LOVE this marmalade. This is a great app and I couldn't get enough of it. I ordered the Bananas Foster french toast. If I am going out for a meal I like my french toast made out of french bread or challah or something else other than sandwich bread. That being said, this was the best french toast made with sandwich bread I have ever had. Great balance of flavors - wasn't too sweet, the texture was perfect not soggy or too crunchy. If you are looking for a good boozy breakfast in the north-side, this is a great place to go!

    So it took a couple of visits before I realized the New Orleans theme here. They have beignets and eggs Benedict with crawfish and a few other things. The coffee is fantastic, kind of nutty but not too bold. The cinnamon rolls are pretty amazing. We didn't enjoy sitting outside because of ants and flies but that's not something they can really help unless they put out big fans maybe? Skinny omelet is awesome.

    SHORT REVIEW: It's the small things in life that make the biggest impact. There are a lot of those here. GO. Eat. Drink. Be merry. LONG REVIEW: There's a lot to like about Another Broken Egg Café. Let's get into the details. - LOCATION/FACILITY: It feels like it belongs where it is, on the far northside of the city, not too far from the ritzy Fashion Mall, not too far from Carmel, but not too far out of reach for anyone to come and enjoy a delicious meal. It is, admittedly, moderately hidden in the plaza, and perhaps deserving of a standalone facility, but that's only a minor nit. The restaurant is very clean and tidy, not leaving room for any distasteful appearances. Oh, and they have an outdoor patio for dining in warmer seasons! - FOOD/DRINKS: Now to the heart of the matter: food and drinks, where this place really shines. Their menu is a good size and variety. It's not too overwhelmingly lengthy, not too sparse, and has something for everyone. Our Sunday Brunch today served up Bananas Foster French toast, lobster and shrimp seafood omelets, shrimp and grits, CINNAMON ROLL FRENCH TOAST...and three letters: W-O-W. This is superior to a few other brunch offerings around town, trust me. They have all the usual breakfast items and drinks, coffee, juice, etc., but they also have a bar for the mature patron. A special "small thing" is that you can get Bailey's, Kahlua, or RumChata added to your coffee/mocha/latte drinks. (This, you MUST do.). Oh, and though not amazing, they do have beignets, and that's more than most restaurants can say. ...It's the small things. - SERVICE: Sunday Brunch is always a great idea, especially with a delicious meal like this. However, being that it is such a great idea, you're not likely to be the only ones doing it. ABEC sees lots of people on a Sunday, and the servers were in the move non-stop. Methinks a pair of additional Sunday staff would be appropriate to ease the delays they occur when servicing multiple tables. While service was not bad at all and the staff and management were great to us, it just felt a wee bit slower than desired. Maybe a more efficient Sunday experience would have lent itself to 5 stars. Even at 4+, this place has earned my recommendation to you. Your patronage belongs here. All in all, go there. Get a coffee with a splash. Order the cinnamon roll French toast. Bring friends. Laugh. Leave happy. ...Give it a shot; you're not likely to be disappointed.

    Steve W.'s review hit's the mark for value. So, I'll just add my little tidbit of high points. How can fried dough be a bad thing? The beignets were warm and crispy with a little too much powdered sugar. But... they were delicious nonetheless. Mr. Eggs Benedict in any form is always my favorite for breakfast or brunch. The ham is the foil here. The sweet and smokey slice caught the creaminess of the egg as I broke into it. Wrapping it up, the hollandaise missed on the flavor but passed on the texture. Bloody, bloody Mary... Perfect amount of horseradish with a slice of lime and a pickled okra. Really solid flavors of tomato, vodka and said horseradish packed in a glass. The Cafe is a good concept, but needs a little polishing of the menu items. Some of the presentations were lacking in appeal. That being said, they are attentive and willing to tweak the menu to give a top notch breakfast and lunch experience. Great service! Thank you ABEC for opening your doors.

    Broke my mom out of the nursing home today for brunch, and the folks at Another Broken Egg Café simply could not have been nicer; service was fast without feeling rushed, they were attentive but without being Helicopter Servers, and gladly seated us just 2 minutes before closing. Our server made sure we got loyalty cards, and gave us extra "punches" just because, and the manager stopped by just as we were about to leave with a coupon for free beignets at our next visit. The syrup for my pancakes tasted extra Maple-y which I love, and the eggs were cooked exactly as I'd ordered - an attention to detail which I appreciated. The sausage was a pleasant surprise, meaty with a nice sage undertone. My mom had Eggs Benedict Oscar, loved the steak and perfectly poached eggs, and said the slightly crisp chopped asparagus was a perfect complement. Based on the very friendly and professional service, and the outstanding brunch selections, I'm looking forward to "Another" visit to ABEC soon!

    Another Broken Egg that's a small chain out of Florida. My wife and I have been to the One's in Florida and always had a good experience. However the new one on the north side of Indy takes customer service to the next level. A wide selection of new a different choices are offered. Not you typical breakfast foods. Good was all great as expected but service was everything you would expect from a high end steak house. First class...give it a try.

    I've been wanting to try this place and thanks to Yelp I was able to try it at a special event. Another Broken Egg Cafe is breakfast at a whole new level with a New Orleans's twist. You'll find your expected standard breakfast fare here plus you'll fine some mouthwatering unique gems as well. Give it a try for what you'd expect for breakfast or explore the unexpected! The group shared generous plates of the Biscuit Beignets - they were as good as you get in the Big Easy but with an insanely tasty honey marmalade. A must have, trust me. We also passed around the Baked Brie Delight - which had toasted French bread with lots of fruit & nut toppings and brie that was the real deal, this one would be a brunch pleaser for sure. For my entree I couldn't resist the allure of the Shrimp 'N Grits, it was masterful; a true breakfast version of jambalaya. The buttery, cheesy grits served as a bed for the shrimp, andouille sausage, red pepper, green onions and more. It was flavorful and succulent. I like things on the hot & spicy side so I wanted a little more cayenne heat but that might have made it too hot for your average diner, perhaps some on the side would take it to the inferno I like, but nonetheless, it satisfied my expectations. We were also presented with spicy bloody mary samples, I'm no bloody mary connoisseur but this stuff was good - no lack of spice here - they use Fuzzy Zoeller vodka that they infuse with peppers in house and garnish with pickled okra! A great meal was had, I'm still smiling about it. I'll be back to try many, many other dishes and to get the beignets and Shrimp 'N Grits again.

    Oh snap! Had a good brunch here today (blueberry quinoa granola, sweet potato pancake and veggie burger), but 4 hours later it was ruined when American Express emails started arriving telling me about fraudulent charges. Turns out I either left my card behind or it wasn't returned with the charge slip to be signed. Whichever happened to my Amex card at the restaurant, within hours the card had been used to make four bogus purchases totally over $1,000, all on the other side of town. It seems that this restaurant has either an employee integrity issue or poor procedures that possibly allowed my card to be removed from my vacated table by a customer. While the food left a good taste in our mouths, this ensuing crime did not.

    Dunno. I've tried ABEC twice. Food is over priced, heavy on salt and fat, and lacks an overall freshness quality. I absolutely question what is made onsite, and what is frozen. On my first go, the crab omelet was way too cheesy and yet, bland. The potatoes were boring and obviously out of a bag. On my second visit, my crab cake Benedict suffered a similar fate: lacked flavor and freshness. ABEC skimped on the hollandaise, which was too bad, as it was pretty tasty. Our bloody mary drinks were delish but I am 99% sure there was no vodka. Boo.Would have loved to talk to the server but he never came back. Coffee's decent. The food here is uninspired.

    Very pleased! I orderd the Huevos Rancheros expecting something far less of a visual presentation- Didn't hurt that it tasted great too! Add the chorizo for $1. Well portioned, delicious breakfast! Points lost for being in a plaza, but made up for the chainy feel with notably original, crafted coffee mugs.

    I met some friends for brunch today after recently buying a LivingSocial deal. Complimentary coffee and muffins are available while you wait, and our wait was less than 30 minutes for a party of five. (If you go on a Sunday, get there on the early side to avoid the post-church crowd - the place was packed when we left at 12:30!) The service was great. Our waitress took the time to make recommendations, and staff stopped by our table multiple times to make sure we had everything we needed. We got the breakfast beignets - super-sweet, even better with the marmalade, and definitely shareable - and everyone enjoyed their individual meals as well. I would come back!

    No matter how busy an establishment is, there's no excuse for poor customer service. I placed my food order and received my beverage. The waitress took my order first then took the order for a 4 person table next to me. My order was pretty simple, scrambled eggs and pancakes. Imagine my surprise when the 4 person table next to me received their order before I did, and 2 members of the other party had pancakes. During my waiting time, no one stopped by my table to ask if I needed anything or an update on my order. I even had to get someone's attention just to get a drink refill. But oddly enough, the table next to me received a drink refill without any prompting. It wasn't until I got the waitress's attention that she even mentioned my order and I still had to ask for another beverage. Judging by how quickly she returned with my food after I asked about it, tells me it may have been ready for quite a while. Needless to say, I am very disappointed in the service I received. After such rave reviews, I'm not even sure if I'll go back.

    The cafe has a good blend of a diner like feel plus a full restaurant. The coffee was served in a different coffee mug. The breakfast menu is not a typical omelet menu. I had the fountainbleu and it was amazing. I will come back anytime.

    We were in town for the Notre Dame/Purdue game Go Irish! We had never ate here before so we went with the recommendations of our server Kelly. Everything she recommended was fantastic Our favorite (suprisingly) was the shrimp and grits. We will definitely be back and ask for Kelly when we are in Indy. Food and service were both great.

    Food is outstanding, but the wait is unbearable. I want to give ABE Cafe my business, but the past 3 times I've tried to come here the wait was over 45minutes. I decided to order carry out to save time. They gave me a pick up time, when I showed up they didn't place my carry out order until I arrived at the restaurant. I was trying to avoid a wait, but I stood there for 30 waiting on a To-go order!

    I went here for the first time today! I enjoyed it - it's a breakfasty/brunchy place with a slightly more refined/less greasy feel than a diner, but still cozy and down to earth. Choosing what to order was difficult since lots of things on the menu looked really good! They have a salmon Benedict dish, which is exciting because I've been looking for that in Indy for literally over a year! But in a surprise turn of events, I went with the Cafe Burger, which was very good but salty - but that was mostly due to the bleu cheese. My boyfriend loves the biscuits and gravy. The country potatoes that come with a lot of dishes are like tiny french fries and very tasty! Service was a little slow to start, but then great and fittingly friendly for such a sunny place. We got frequent water and coffee refills. There was a small mix-up with an order substitute - the bf requested chorizo instead of the included sausage, but received bacon. He did get the chorizo a bit later after asking about it, and I'm pretty sure it was not included in the bill, so that was nice, and good service. I would go back, and I think this place could easily win a 5-star review!

    Just visited for the first time and am so disappointed it took me so long to eat here. I had the sweet potato pancake which was delicious, as well as a side of eggs and goose sausage. My mom had the Chez B omelette which she said was also delicious. They have a wide variety of choices from a traditional breakfast to fancier items like the crab cake benedict. They also serve bloody marys and mimosas. I can't wait to come back to try some of the other stuff on the menu. Staff was friendly too.

    I tried the Hey Lucy omelette and the sweet potato pancake - split with a friend. The sweet potato pancake was not what I had expected. I thought it would be a pancake from mashed sweet potatoes but it was just a regular pancake with bits of sweet potato chunks here and there (not very many). The omelette was very good though! The service was fine, nothing spectacular, and the Bloody Mary was good, not excellent. I would go back though; there are lots of unique menu options to choose from. It was an overall pleasant experience!

    Mmmmmmmmm...nom nom nom!!! I would choose the Cinnamon French toast as my last meal on death row. It was delicious!!! Melt in your mouth, angels singing in the heavens, don't pinch me cause if I'm dreaming I don't wanna wake up delicious. If I could give it a negative... Price... Its not a weekly treat, but not just special occasion, though worthy of a great brunch date.

    I went here for breakfast on a Tuesday morning. They opened at 7 and I showed up 10 minutes or so early. When the person working the front noticed me outside, he immediately unlocked the door and welcomed me in, even though they weren't even technically supposed to be open yet. I was seated immediately by an extremely friendly host, and my drink order was brought quickly. There is just something about a person who is smiling and chipper in the morning, even if it is strictly caffeine induced, that just rubs off on others and seeing someone working hard and having fun was a nice way to start the day. Props to all the employees here who seemed to be having fun serving non-morning people before the sun was even fully up. The restaurant itself was nice and bright, and had some background music playing just loud enough to hear. There was a lot of seating, and it got surprisingly full on Tuesday morning by around 8:00. It looked like a lot of people were meeting to go over business things, and I think this would be a great location if that was your plan. I ordered the "Hey Lucy" omelet consisting of avocado, chorizo, onions, green chilies, cheddar jack cheese, and salsa. The person I was with got the French toast "bananas foster style" which included adding bananas and pecans in a maple syrup looking sauce along with generous portions of whipped cream onto the already monstrous stack of French toast. The ideal combination of breakfast goers is one person who likes sweet and one person who likes savory, and fortunately I had that worked out during this visit. The omelet was delicious and there was no lack of the ingredients that they stuffed inside. It came with country potatoes and a toasted English muffin that I didn't even touch because the omelet was enough food to fill me up. The French toast looked like something better suited for an after dinner indulgence, but it was as good as the description sounds and would definitely satisfy a morning sweet tooth while making it easier to convince yourself that it was actually a breakfast item and you didn't order dessert at 7 AM. They had quite a few omelet combinations that were out of the ordinary, and I will definitely be back to try more of what they have to offer. In short, the service was fantastic, the setting was great, and the food was all delicious. The prices were higher than some breakfast places, but it was because the serving sizes were so large. It didn't look like there were many small options to choose, unless you wanted to piece something together from the sides options, so if you aren't looking for a big breakfast this might not be the place for you. There was a pretty long list on their healthy options part of the menu, and egg whites were available as a substitution if you are into that whole healthy food thing.

    I really enjoyed the dishes I sampled from ABE, when part of a past Yelp tasting event. When myself and a dining mate revisited on our own, the food was not as technically good, probably hovering around 3 stars. I ordered the smoked salmon eggs benedict, which were two (2) perfectly poached gooey eggs over a bagel with cream cheese and smoked salmon. The cream cheese did not figure well into the flavor combination (I'd rather have hollandaise sauce) and the smoked salmon seemed more stereotypically fishy-smelling than salmon I've had elsewhere. I usually love smoked salmon anything, but wouldn't reorder this dish; if they rethink the ingredients, I believe it could be more successful. My partner enjoyed the cinnamon roll French toast and homemade sausage patty, but not ecstatically so. Overall, the menu is more ambitious than a lot of local breakfast/brunch places, but execution wasn't 100% like at the Yelp event. We also agreed that the food at our favorite brunch haunts (such as 3 Sisters) tasted a little fresher. However, my Yelp tasting experience, the clean, well-designed atmosphere and excellent service elevated this review to 4 stars. The service was superior and very friendly, all the way from the greeter to the manager.

Overall it's too salty and lacks any depth of flavor. The Bloody Mary w/ garnish (love the okra!) was the only redeeming factor. One word summary: mediocre.

    Most typical breakfast/brunch places offer few options for vegetarians, usually omelettes and pancakes. Luckily, Another Broken Egg Cafe turned out to be one of the exceptions to this rule. They had so many options in addition to the usual: grits, quinoa, and different sandwiches. I ended up with the black bean sliders, while my husband decided to get the Chez B's omelette. Both were delicious. The black bean sliders were served on corn-cakes with avocado and jicama slaw plus a mixed greens salad. The flavor of the sliders (make sure to get a bite of everything at once) was unbelievably good. I did not try the omelette, but the H said the veggies were fresh and flavorful. He also said everything was well seasoned. Something I did not try but probably will next time will be the Fuzzy Mary, their version of the Bloody Mary. They looked amazing. Side note: they have a full bar. Definitely try this place out.

    My girlfriends and I decided to try this place this last Sunday. We waited about 15 minutes for a table and were buzzed in the time frame they told us it would take. We were quickly greeted by one of the best servers I've had the pleasure of meeting. His name is Jonas. If you would like to enhance your dining experience and you have a sense of humor, request him! We started with the beignets with the honey marmalade sauce and they paired nicely with the STRONG! Mimosas. No complaints here!! I ordered the Fountainbleu omelet and was pleased with the portion. I still couldn't finish it, but it was fresh and the potatoes were just perfectly cooked. We all liked that the bacon was baked too, a nice touch! I plan on going back as I really want to try the sweet potato pancake. And have Jonas as our server. Hilarity ensues....

    A little background...my best friend and I go out to breakfast nearly every weekend. We have three favorite places that we rotate through, but mainly stick to the one that is closest to my house. So, I heard about this place from my co-workers who have visited the Destin, FL location. They raved about it! I honestly thought there was no way it could be as good as they described. I did a little research online, found out the history (yes, it is a chain), found their local Facebook page, and looked over the menu. It is located in the old La Margarita space on North Meridian. I was worried they'd be a bit too crowded on their first Saturday open, but my best friend and I decided to at least check it out and were pleasantly surprised that there was only a short wait (less than 5 minutes). Note: she picked me up at 8:30 am. The line was considerably longer when we left. The decor was great! Unique table tops and lighting fixtures and a very happy yellow paint on the wall. They have booth, table, and bar seating. We were seated at a table that had a comfortable amount of space between it and other seating. The silverware is a great weight - much heavier than typical restaurant flatware - and the coffee mugs are stoneware with a unique shape. I personally loved them! Our server, James, was promptly to our table and suggested the beignets. We generally don't do breakfast appetizers, but after we turned them down, I wished we had! We saw the beignets, the monster cinnamon roll, and the blackberry grits delivered to tables around us and they looked AMAZING! As my friend ordered iced tea, James told us that the coffee was really good too. I normally don't order coffee because I have to doctor it so much, but I was curious, so I ordered it. Normally, I use four Splenda packets and four of the little creamer cups. This coffee was delicious. I only used two Splenda packets and two creamer cups, and only barely touched up the refills. It was rich without being overly bitter and the mug kept it hot to the bottom. I had a record three cups of coffee! Normally, I do one and then switch to water. For our meal, my friend ordered the Chez B omelet with red bell peppers, white onions and portabellas marinated and roasted with shaved Parmesan, feta, and fresh basil. It came with an orange slice, country potatoes and an English muffin. While I did not try a bite, I know it was awesome because she ate the entire thing and didn't complain about the doneness. (She usually asks for her omelets scrambled or well done.) I ordered the Bacquezo omelet. It was filled with cream cheese and bacon and topped with chorizo, Monterey Jack and green onions. It also came an orange slices, country potatoes and an English muffin. I was curious what the cream cheese would do to the omelet. While I love cream cheese, I wasn't sure I'd enjoy the flavor combination. Let me tell you, I'm not sure I will ever have another omelet without it! It was delicious! Hands down, best omelet I have ever had. There was one minor hiccup that I don't want to go into too much detail about because the rest of the experience was so amazing. Suffice it to say that James took care of the problem immediately, the manager or owner came over and spoke with us, and my friend ended up getting her meal comped - even though she protested and said it wasn't necessary. It was superior customer service! Everyone we came into contact with was smiling, friendly, and helpful. My friend also visited the restrooms and said they were really nice - a huge compliment because that's where she generally complains about restaurants. We loved Another Broken Egg! Even though it is a chain, it definitely has an independent feel to it with excellent food and customer service. It has definitely earned it's place in our breakfast rotation and may have just become our number one go to! I highly recommend visiting this cafe!

What I received was seating at a dirty table, 10 minutes for my drink order to be taken, drink order but no spoon, napkin, straw, creamer. A grimace no smile when I asked questions.     We saw this restaurant featured on Inside Indiana Business this past Saturday, looked up the menu, were super excited about the Benedict options, and went this morning/early afternoon. We stood at the host stand with no one present for about 3 minutes. Then we waited at least 5 more minutes for the hostess to finish some work she was doing at the stand. She then walked away from us without uttering a single word. I don't care about being greeted hello - not Kramer - but I do care about someone acknowledging that they see that my fat ace standing there. A host came up to the stand just as the hostess was leaving, so we continued to wait (about 3 more minutes). Then he walked away without speaking to us. So 10 minutes have now passed, my husband and I are not ghosts and can be seen with the human eye, but still absolutely nothing from the host stand. So we decided to follow their lead and walk away too. With what we planned to order, this was easily going to be a $50 breakfast. We went down to Broad Ripple instead and spent half of that somewhere else. We were super excited for a new breakfast place, but I will happily starve before ever walking into this place again. Shame.

    Now we're talking breakfast!! The atmosphere is eye-openingly bright, the staff is exceedingly cheery, and the three-way liquor license is determined to keep you satisfied! Try the volcano inspired bloodymary or the prosecco. And ask for the pickled okra. Delish! Gluten free items are marked on the menu. The gluten free pancakes were oddly crispy, but delightfully pancake-like. Not the best presented dish on the menu. Don't bother with the additional fruit. They only add few slivers on top and inside. Honestly, the salmon sitting next to me looked amazing. Go with the salmon. :) Large space for private parties or entertaining. Catering options coming soon. And did I mention the full bar? ...for breakfast?!

After 45 minutes, literally, he came over and said, " I don't have an order for you". Total of 15 people in restaurant, tops. Offered to give me free "beignet" after talking to manager, really? Can't rate the food. Cuz I never got any.

    This was by far one of the best restaurant experiences I've had in a long time. If you get a chance to check out Another Broken Egg Cafe, please do and makes sure you ask for Jonas. My girlfriends and I on Sunday had the pleasure of having him as our waiter for brunch and he was quick, attentive, hilarious, and had a great attitude. When we first arrived, we had about a 15 minute wait and were buzzed for our table in that time frame. We ordered mimosas right off and they were delicious! My girlfriend ordered the beignets as an appetizer for us to share. They came with a honey marmalade and were so good! For my entree, I ordered the Hey Lucy! omelet and it came with seasoned potatoes and an english muffin. The omelet was the perfect size and full of flavor. The potatoes had just the right amount of seasoning on them and it wasn't an overwhelming portion. This is my new favorite breakfast spot and I can't wait to go back!

    Great beignets to start the meal. Wife had vegetarian omelet that was good. I had the omelet with crawfish, Andouille, and a tomato hollandaise sauce covering that was so very good. The service for drinks was a little slow, hence why I took a star off, it was not to capacity, by a long shot but our coffee cups were empty on more that two occasions. It was good food and decent service, I would go back, and since it is right by my work, I may end up again a time or two, but wouldn't drive from home to eat here.

    I was hesitant to post, but after two "meh" experiences, the time has come. Used to go here a couple times a month, but the service on the last two visits was not good (slow, forgot things), the women's restroom was out, and the food was not of the usual quality. On the most recent visit, the crabcake in my Southern Crabstack was barely warm, more bread than crab, and very oily. Maybe I'll try again in a few months.

    I have eaten here once since they opened. My neighbor took me raving about how great it was. She had already eaten there two times in three days. The day we were there was her third time in 4 days. A couple other friends joined us. It was their first time as well as mine. We waited about 25 min for a table. OK.. Nice decor, staff was all very friendly. They had only been open for about 2 weeks. One of us has food allergies. We let our server know and we were assured what was ordered was fine. Then issues started. A Mocha coffee drink was brought out. It was just about stone cold. Took awhile to get our server back to let him know. He took the cup and went to get a new hot beverage. Then our food was served, still no Mocha drink. We started to eat. The friend with food allergies noticed green onion in her hash. Got our server back, told him there were green onions in the hash. Apologies were given. He forgot they were in the hash. We then asked about the Mocha drink. Apologies again took the hash away, retrieved drink, slightly warmer but not hot, drank it anyway. Took order for new breakfast item to replace hash. Hash was pre made so no just taking out the onion. Seemed a lot of items were pre done pre portioned. By the time new order came the rest off us were almost done. The bill was another issue, being charged for wrong items, hash not taken off the bill...the staff was very frazzled to say the least. Sorta understandable for just opening, but then again should have done soft opening with staff family and friends to work out bugs. I do plan on going back. It just has not been a priority.

    The food here is really tasty! I had the biscuits and gravy which comes with eggs and two sausage patties! Just the way I like it!! I added some Tobascco and WOW!! However, they are ReAlLy proud of their food. They want to charge you $5 for two pancakes??? Then more if you want a normal breakfast. I felt like they were trying to make you pay for their yuppy atmosphere and although it was decently nice, it wasn't worth the money. Furthermore, we had a hair in our food and the waitress was afraid to mention it to anyone because she was afraid to upset her manager; which I completely understand. After watching this woman with her staff, I would rather eat the hair than work for her! She was very cold and clearly under more pressure than what she could handle. I had the sense that she had never managed people before so she had to act mean to overcompensate. If someone else was offering to pay, and I didn't have to deal with this manager, I may go back for the tasty food. But that doesn't look to be in my near future.

    We went for breakfast this morning, Saturday, around 10am and had a 10 minute wait but it was well worth it. We sat outside and it was a great morning to do so. Once we ordered, it did take a little time to get our food but they were very busy. I ordered the French Toast with the Banana Foster syrup and a side of bacon. My husband had eggs, biscuits with gravy and sausage patties. I so enjoyed my FT with BF. It was served nice and warm and smelled marvelous. My husband gobbled his food down, too. The sausage he had appeared to be had made and had a nice flavor with a little hot kick. I look forward to our next meal there. If you are passing 465 and Meridian, be sure to check them out.

    Breakfast is by far my favorite meal of the day and my favorite to cook so when I go out for breakfast I like to order items I cannot cook myself. We started with the biscuit beignets which were very good and fried to order so they came out piping hot. Their house coffee was excellent and the waiting staff keep our cups refilled the entire meal. I ordered the Smoked Salmon Benny it's a toasted bagel, smoked salmon, and two poached eggs. When the eggs came out they were hard boiled. You could stab them and they wouldn't break or leak any yoke. We spoke to our server who looked confused at our request for a replacement poached egg. We were with another couple who had the same problem so we had to get 6 replacement poached eggs. I would think the server would ensure the replacement was cooked perfect, but was incorrect. They came out still being hard boiled if not more than the original. By this time we just ate the meal without the poached egg. The manager came over and after we explained the situation he did not apologize or take off any item; some great leadership skills if you ask me. There are many places in Indianapolis who have a great breakfast so I will venture elsewhere in the future. If you are looking for a pancake or omelet, I'm sure it's alright, but don't expect anything a $7 an hour cook cannot prepare.

    I called Saturday afternoon to see if I could make a reservation for Sunday morning breakfast for a party of 11. "Yes" was the reply and took all my information, including my phone number. The reservation had been set for 10:30 am. We arrived about 5 mins early and told them we had arrived. "No problem, we should be able to seat you next" was the reply. My brother-in-law staying inside with his infant son while the rest of us went outside to accommodate others that were waiting. A hostess came out several times calling many other parties to come to be seated. After 20 minutes of waiting with restless children, I went inside to inquire about the wait. I was told they were waiting for tables to clear so we could be sat. No time frame could be given. I then proceeded to ask about our reservation and why it was taking so long. No answers could be given. I went back outside to wait. Now, 30 mins have gone by and still we had not been called for seating. My husband went inside to find out what was going on. While he stood and watched other people being sat he asked for the manager. The manager pointed to an open table that available and they would move another table up to it to accommodate us or a larger table was getting ready to finish and we would be sat there, which ever was to come first. Waiting another 10 mins we found that the open table that we were told about had been sat by other patrons. At this time we told the manager of our frustrations and told him we were going to leave. The manager walked outside the restaurant with us and began to argue the situation with us saying they didn't even take reservations. Now, if I called and asked if they take reservations, why would I be told "yes"? We had a party of 11 that waited 45 mins for a table when we had "reservations" and could never be told the truth or a time frame. This will be our last visit to this restaurant. The situation had completely been handled horribly and the manager is completely incompetent. I am shocked at the little customer service this establishment has and I hope for them they get this issue fixed or they will not be in business long. I had read on urbanspoon.com that the service was horrible. I will have to agree with that. I gave them one star only because I had to rate them with something. I would personally not ranked them that high if I had my choice.

    The first time I went, I got the sweet potato pancakes, which were A-MAZ-ING. They came with this cinnamon marmalade-infused syrup and pecans. My grandma got the blueberry quinoa bowl with the coconut milk, which was also very good and different. The waiter was very attentive. Oh, and the pork sausage was unlike anything I had ever had before--it was flavorful and succulent. I'm not sure what all the spices were in it, but I definitely detected some sage. However, the second time I went, I got the southwest skillet, and was very underwhelmed. The potatoes were bland with no spice or onions and seemed like they came frozen from a bag, the eggs were blah and the avocado was missing. And there was no spice to speak of--I needed to douse it in hot sauce to make it palatable. Disappointing, especially after having such a good experience the first time. Oh, and the waitress accidentally mixed up my grandma's and grandpa's coffee (grandpa has decaf due to a heart condition, grandma has regular). Thankfully my grandpa was okay and the waitress was apologetic and fixed the problem, but on things like that, all precautions must be taken. Anyhow, if you go here, I think the secret is to stick with the sweeter menu items. I would like to try to biscuit beignets and the bananas foster french toast. I didn't care for their coffee--it tasted like typical diner coffee (which I'm not a fan of). They'll put booze in it for you if you ask them though (I think baileys or rum-chata). I wasn't feeling it so early in the morning though. :) Oh, and this place is pretty pricey for breakfast, but the plates are HUGE. All in all, I would say definitely try it.
