This place is awesome! We wanted to call ahead due to our big family and they said no problem we can do it. The staff was friendly, prompt and just great. We ordered the chicken, bacon, ranch pizza, pepperoni and the veggie pizzas. They were great! The crust was perfect and the cheese was even better. On our way out Angleo was kind enough to give our boys treats. Even though we live in Fort Wayne, we will be back. It's hard to find good service let alone good food anymore, but this place has done just that.

Stopped for lunch, I had the bacon cheeseburger, my wife had the patty melt. Both were great and huge, we could not eat all of it. This is a gem.

Diamond in the rough. Excellent quality food, tastes like top notch home cooking. Found out the owner, Angelo, is a fellow Canadian ex-pat who learned how to make pizza in Montreal. Dang, no wonder the YELP reviews rave about the pizza. I've only been here for breakfast. The pancakes are wonderful. My husband said his omelette was one of the best he's ever had. We will definitely make this a regular stop in our travels and I'm planning on trying the pizza next time

Stopped here for lunch on the drive from Pittsburgh to Chicago. Like other reviewers, found this place on yelp and checked it out because of the good reviews and the desire to eat at a local restaurant rather than some chain fast food. Good food, good prices, friendly service - all in all a great lunch break on a long drive! (Also conveniently located close to gas stations.)

A foodie should never judge a restaurant by how it looks. I stayed in Howe on my way to Michigan just for one night. I ordered the Agelo's pizza with thin crust and homemade sauce. That pizza was FANTASTIC! It was not too salty at all, which happened to lots pizza. The crust is thin but not too dry or too chewy. All the employees in this restaurant were super friendly and helpful when you had no idea what you want. Any of them knew any of their food! Another thumb up for their delivery service. I didn't order for delivery but I thought that could be convenience because the restaurant was located in the middle of almost nowhere :)

We're out of towners and we came here to give it a try. We went to lannarellis the night before and decided to compare pizzas. We thoroughly enjoyed the garden pizza with garlic (add on). The pizza is definitely in my top 5 favorite ever! The owner was friendly and my boyfriend was wearing an Illinois sweatshirt and he asked where we were from. The owner previously owned restaurants in Chicago and knew the suburb we're from. The hospitality was amazing and if we ever come back we'll stop by forsure! I also ordered a chocolate milkshake. Mmmmm!

I stumbled on this gem while driving from Pittsburgh to Chicago. Came highly recommended by fellow Yelpers, so decided to stop for breakfast. The place doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't let that stop you. The service was prompt and incredibly friendly. The food was obviously prepared fresh and with care and was delicious. If ever in Howe, skip the chains and give this place a shot.

Stopped for dinner while traveling on I-80 due to outstanding reviews, and the desire to patronize a local business rather than a chain or quick stop gas station...Owner personally answered my call and indicated that he would keep kitchen open (they close at 9 PM on weekends) until we arrived....excellent service, specials, quality of food (rib eye, club sandwich, and amazing salad...Best service and food...Highly recommended for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or just coffee and a good conversation...

We ordered for delivery and the food was exceptional. Large portions and it was hot. We ordered the spaghetti, salad, olive burger with fries, and a small pizza. We were so impressed with this meal that we called the manager who was also the owner and voiced our appreciation. Will definitely order from there again. Mr and Mrs. Smith

This is the first time my wife and I have been to Howe, IN. After reading all the positive reviews about the Howe Restaurant.. we decided to try it. We were not disappointed! We both had their all-you-can-eat fish dinner. I had mine grilled while my wife had hers fried. Both were amazing! Not greasy at all! I highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back!

Driving through on 80 on Sunday and there wasn't a restaurant in sight. Pulled up the Nearbys on Yelp and found the Howe Restaurant. Good food and good service at this little local diner with a big menu. Angelo even kept the place open so we could make it in to have a quick meal. He's a character that knows how you to run a business: with kindness and enthusiasm. Next time I'm driving down 80, I'll be swinging back into this joint.

Food OK, but owner has attitude when I complained beef liver over cooked. Breakfast is good and prices are fair.

For being in the middle of nowhere, this is a good place to stop to eat. My husband had the chicken fried steak which was ok and I had the french dip which was tender and pretty good. The salad was fresh and the fries hot. We where did a side of brown gravy to go with the fries which was really delicious. I think that the waitress was new, but the food came out pretty fast even though she was a little scattered. If I were in a more populated area I would probably give it 3 stars but relative to its competition this is a good pick. Owner was a nice guy too.

This restaurant is a perfect example of "don't judge a book by its cover." This quaint, homely, local restaurant appears to be a low-quality diner from the outside, however we were pleasantly surprised. Situated in a small town a few minutes from the toll road, it is very convenient for a pit-stop meal. The food was better than expected from the outside and the chocolate cream pie was delicious! However the waitress was the best part of the experience. She was very attentive, friendly, and had a great sense of humor. She will make you feel happy that you had stopped to eat there. I will definitely stop again if I find myself nearby!

This is our 4th time in the area for some RV repair/maintenance. We ran across this diner by accident our 1st trip and loved it! We have a hard time not having breakfast for all meals since it's served all day. Eggs, skillets, omelets, waffles, pancakes , pizza, etc. never been disappointed always delicious and large portions. The icing on the this cake is the staff - very friendly and efficient - and Angelo (the owner) almost always present! Everything is very reasonably priced and the daily specials are worth tring. Don't miss this gem - worth the drive!!! Great job Howe Restaurant!!!

We've eaten here lots of times. Nice people. Great place to have breakfast. They were very helpful when we had a birthday party there with 50+ people. Update... Angelo always tells me they make the best pizza in the world, so I finally tried it, and he might be right. It's good! We had the Angelo's Special. Homemade crust and homemade sauce.

As a chef (certified, degree, & professionally trained) I KNOW BETTER than to order a steak at a Mom & Pop diner.......nevertheless I do it on occasion when I travel. It NEVER fails that the steak is ALWAYS overcooked!! The pancakes were DELISH though!!! Potatoes were a bit greasy & bland.

Local diner that offers a welcome break from all the turnpike plaza McDonald's. It's a very mom & pop kind of diner just south of the turnpike. If your stomach has started to turn itself inside out but you're still fighting the dark side that is fast food plazas and rest stops, then this is a great place to order some decent chow. Having traveled to many states from California to D.C., I will admit that there are better diners out there with tastier food but this place has a real nice local allure and the staff is friendly so it makes your visit feel quite welcoming and the food isn't bad either. We ordered omelets, sausage links, corn beef hash (a bit dry), mac and cheese (wish it had more flavor but it wasn't greasy so that's a plus), and fresh squeezed juice (which tasted great). Not much more to say, keep your eyes open so you don't pass it up and don't be surprised how busy it can get. The worn-in, probably-looks-the-way-it-did-on-opening-day is appealing so I hope they never change the interior or exterior. Overall 3 stars, but if you've never left this town then it's probably like a 5 star. Hmmmm, ok, I'll give it 4.

We went to this restaurant on Sat 3/9/13 during a break in the Sturgis MI basketball tournament. Ten 12/13 year old boys and parents. The service and food were excellent and I think we ordered more than half of the items on the menu. :-)

Great little place to stop for lunch. Chicken noodle soup was homemade, and quite tasty. Hot open face breaded veal sandwich with mashed potatoes and gravy was wonderful. Veal still had a crunch to the exterior even though it was smothered in gravy. Very friendly and attentive staff. Very much a small town diner. Good solid choice for food.

This family of five left very clean plates and great satisfaction with our choices, two breakfast choices, an olive burger, and two hot sandwiches, turkey and roast beef. A great alternative to the turnpike rest area food and close to the exit.

This place is great. We have been coming to Howe for Amishland & Lakes bike ride for six years and we never ate here before. Too bad for us! We will never miss the opportunity again. The pizza was fantastic, the service excellent, and the owner, Angelo is a real character! Treat yourself!
