We ordered a pizza for pick-up and were told it would be ready for pick-up in about 20 minutes. Plus, the price she quoted me was the carry out price NOT the delivery price. My husband and I arrived at Sanfrantello's about 25 minutes later and were told they didn't have our order. After they searched around for a couple of minutes they discovered that they actually sent our order out for delivery. I immediately tried calling my kids at home but they weren't answering. We got into the car to try to meet the delivery person at our home. A few minutes later my kids called saying there was someone at the door pounding and yelling at them that they better open the door because they ordered a pizza. I told them to not open the door but instead say that we'll be home in about 5 minutes. We arrived home to find the delivery person just turning off of our block. What a mess. Does Sanfrantello's not have a way to contact their delivery people while in route? If he would have hung there for a couple more minutes we would have been able to get the pizza from him. I ended up calling Sanfrantello's to let them know we were STILL not in possession of our Large Cheese and to just cancel the order. I really didn't want to wait until the delivery person made it all the way back to the store and then all the way back to me. Plus, I wasn't real thrilled with the delivery person's threats to my kids (who are, of course, instructed to NEVER open the door for someone they don't know!) Lesson learned! Order from Arrenellos!

Food was awesome. Antipasto salad, poor boy, and pizza were great but the service was a f-ing joke. I can't believe this place is still in business. They need a GM that can provide this team with direction. I'd get into specifics but it isn't worth my time. I hope they get their act together because the food was good!

Been to the previous location before they moved to Indpls Blvd and had outstanding service. Recently attended a wedding rehearsal dinner at their new location and had poor customer service. The private "party" room was extremely cramped, I would rate the food but opted out not to eat after the extreme wait to replenish appetizers and pizza. Asked for ice water and after waiting over a half hour for the water it was brought to our table and tasted like watered down sprite. After being there over 2.5 hours I left disappointed and hungry. Was very surprised at the customer service as I said previous visits were outstanding. Would definitely not recommend for a large "party" setting at this location.

It's hit it or miss here. I keep trying to like it but keep getting disappointed. Had the buffalo chicken pizza once and it was awesome. Tried the Hawaiian recently and the sauce tasted like spaghettio sauce and the cheese fell off the crust and it just seemed sloppily made. Service is also hit or miss.

The pizza here is WAY better than the Dyer location. I encourage you to give this place a try if you don't like them. The pizza with the exception of the crust is made differently and tastes awesome. The appetizers we had were pretty good as well. The atmosphere is a little off. If you remember the old bar that used to be here, it's pretty much the same setup. A big rectangular bar in the middle of an open room with booths lining the outer walls. Some tables in the center and the lighting is like when you turn up the lights when a bar is closing. Not really a restaurant feel.

The service was great and the pizza was great! We had a party of 18 people and our food came out super fast and the servers were refilling our drinks and bringing us more plates and pitchers of beer so quickly. I was surprised that this place was only listed 2 stars. Definitely deserves more stars!

The pizza is always good. Haven't had bad service. I normally go for there Thursday "All you can eat Pizza and Ribs" and leave satisfied.

I cannot believe what happened today! I dinned in, when I received my bill, none of the prices matched up to the menu! Absolutely no notice to the client what so ever! The manager at this location is the worst person I have ever met in the restaurant industry! She would not honor a price adjustment for the inconvenience! The service was also not all that great neither, I would of disregarded the price difference if I got more than I was paying for. First, the waiter was not aware of us being assigned to him so he kept passing by us. He was under the instructions provided by his management. No glasses of water on table, and I had to ask him to change my soiled plate from my appetizer to my pizza. Bottom line, this is an unacceptable business and I would never wish the poor service to any of my friends or family! The original Sanfratellos owners would be so ashamed to have their name used in the degrading way this business is putting out service. Happy Holidays!

Not. Going. Back. 1. If you like the rest of the world Google this place you will get the old location. According to the waitress they have done all that they could to fix the technical issue but it is all Google's fault, here is a few simple suggestions: a. On your website home page - place a banner with the new location address - so that it doesn't take 5 different clicks to get to the unique Sanfrantello's Highland location webpage which has the correct location. b. Physically place a huge banner on the old location with the correct address so when people arrive at the wrong place they know where to go - cause guess what they will do? Google it. :( FAIL. 2. I had a Groupon, they had a special, Groupon was not good on the special. Fine screw the Groupon, give me the special...waitress: hold on...returns: we are out of the special. It is 7:15 p.m. on Thursday night. You are out of the special? :( FAIL 3. You are an Italian style restaurant with a limited menu - this should translate to - we don't do alot but what we do is freaking awesome! And if Sanfrantello's actually said that they would be liars. Best part of the whole thing? The wings. 7 people in my party, each ordered a sandwich or pasta and the best part were the wings. FAIL. 4. Lastly the service was so mediocre and slow - when our order arrived, 3 plates came to the table, after that each additional plate was brought one by one by the bus boy. The server was constantly M.I.A. and supposedly she was also the manager. I flagged down the bus boy to ask for my check - had it not been for my eldery mother's presence; please believe you me I would have pulled the magic trick that makes all crappy servers come running - stand up all dramtically putting my coat on and start walking toward the door. FAIL. Did I say I was not going back? NOT. GOING. BACK.

The food was good. All the staff was very pleasant and efficient. One comment though...I wish the owners would re-do the bathrooms. They are kinda gross. This place used to be a bar/restaurant with nightlife that I used to go to years ago and it looks like they haven't done a thing to the bathrooms since then.

I wish I could rate lower. I ordered a half cheese, half pepperoni family size. The girl on the phone was nice but I could tell she was either new or inexperienced or maybe just didn't like working there, I don't know...just considering all possibilities. I digress. She took my order for delivery and she repeated back my order. Then I paid over the phone with my debit. Protocol. When the pizza came, the driver wasn't told that I prepaid, so he stood inside calling them to confirm. It took about 15 minutes before they confirmed that I paid, all while I stood there and showed him the confirmation from my bank on my phone that I paid. So after that was taken care of and the driver left (he was polite, by the way), my pizza was wrong--it was ALL pepperoni. My wife called them back to let them know that we received the wrong order and they refused to take accountability for their mistake. The girl who spoke to my wife was rude and confrontational saying that they cannot send the driver back out and they cannot refund us our money. After my wife (who is not a force to be reckoned with) explained to them that this was their error, not ours, the girl agreed to give us $1 back. Yes, $1. After we all finished laughing, she apparently got approval from her manager to issue us $11 back, which was half the price of the pizza, since it was only half that was messed up. As far as the quality of their product: the pizza was burnt and greasy. It was very salty, too. Maybe they use cheap-o, corner-cutting products to make their pizzas without breaking their budget but I personally won't be ordering from there again. If you want pizza from there, order at your own risk. Don't expect much excitement from the taste of the pizza and prepare for the worst because they seemed unorganized.

The place was dark and very cold inside, most of the patrons were eating while wearing their winter coats...the cheese sticks were undercooked and cold and the pizza was tasteless. Not what I expected, seeing thet their Glenwood location is decent...Very disappointed !

Terrible experience, the short handed staff was running in circles. No water for the table, the first 3 beers we ordered they were out of. Then got a pitcher of foam instead, and never offered a cold glass. Ordered two pizzas and they came out 20 minutes apart so half the table ate and then the other half. I doubt i wi go back anytime soon. People that came in after we did had their food before we did. Also the salad had no green just white part of the lettuce this was just bad all around. Hope the owner takes care if this or they will be closed here too.

My family always loved the Sanfrantellos in Glenwood, but since it's been closed for a couple years we decided to try the Highland one. It's more of a bar atmosphere, which is fine. I read in the reviews a lot of complaints about service, but when we were there service was good. We had a pretty attentive waiter. The bad part... The pizza. Pizza was ok, but just didn't compare to what I remember at the Glenwood location. Canned mushrooms.... No good. Fresh mushrooms make a huge difference on a pizza. Overall, ok. I probably wouldn't go back though.

I've been eating here for many years, and the pizza is still the best tasting pizza in Northwest Indiana. The new location isn't as nice as it was on 45th, but the food has remained the same.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
