This pizza is amazing! Hammond is not exactly the crown jewel of the culinary world, so it's tough to get a good pizza. I LOVE their Meat Lovers Pizza. INCREDIBLE. It's like a special treat for me and my husband to order from there. I do have to say this though. I think they need to work on their phone etiquette. I've had a lady answer the phone one time and was super rude and treated me like I was 5, but as long as my pizza is good, I don't care how the lady that answer the phone acts. It's worth putting up with that for a great pizza. So if you live in Hammond, you need to get some pizza from Verona because it's delicious!

The pizza is decent but I'm giving them 2 stars since they can't put crushed peppers when I ask them for it ..every single time I've ordered from this place and asked them for crushed peppers they NEVER put it with my pizza and Ive order from here a lot so it's happened more then a few times I'm never ordering from them again

haven't ordered from Verona's for a long time now, husband seen they had a sign outside with a special two large pizza's 23.95. so I'm on my way home from work so tell him yeah go ahead and order I'll pick them up, they said about 45 minutes, got there in about a 1/2 hour so had to wait about 15 minutes, first of all the place is dirty, door wide open so any kind of bug could come in, they bring me my pizza's. They are two small pizza's, I ask this is your large? oh you ordered large? Yes your special, the girl who took the order wrote S on the order which I guess they took for small, honest mistake, the guy says you want me to make you a new order, as it was 9:30 already I said no, how much do I get back for two smalls, my order came to 26 something, she says I can give you $ 6.00 back, I said $ 20.00 for two smalls? the guy says we can give you a coupon for $ 5.00 off your next visit, I said no thanks there won't be a "Next Visit". get home with said pizza, I've made better frozen pizza's, these we're individual size pizza's and tasted like the cardboad they came in, told my husband we should have ordered from John's Pizza in Munster like usual, they may be expensive but I'd gladly pay their price, their pizza is delicious and they don't skimp on the toppings. I will never order from here again I don't care how hungry I am!!! I would prefer to leave negative stars for this place. It's a shame they use to make really good pizza's back in the day.

This is the pizza place you order from when you're craving pizza at midnight and everything else is closed. It's mediocre at best but not the worst pizza. I've ordered several of their appetizers. I tried the garlic bread with cheese and it was small and not very cheesy. Their fried appetizers are ones that come out of a bag so nothing special there but still pretty good. Overall this place isn't bad. It's just convenient.

I love Verona Pizza, but the one in Portage, IN is SO much better. The one on Calumet Ave and the one on Hohman Avenue (I don't think is there anymore)...I don't know, there is something about it. I can't stand flies that fly around, a dirty floor and a front door that keeps opening and closing because of children running in and out.. Verona Pizza in Portage has NONE of this. I know it's a drive from Hammond, but if you want pizza the way VERONA PIZZA was intended - go to the one in Portage, IN. * Please note: The pizza at the Verona Pizza on Calumet Avenue and the pizza at Hohman Avenue Verona Pizza are still AWESOME pizzas - don't get me wrong. I just don't like the atmosphere, it makes me uncomfortable.

Tried it out tonight. I liked the pizza. The sauce had a hint of sweetness. I also ordered the cream cheese and cheddar poppers. Maybe its just me; however, it would have been nice if the menu included the fact that the contained a HUGE jalapeño pepper surrounding the cheese! Other than that everyone in the fam enjoyed it.

I was hooked from the first bite. The delivery was super quick and came with a free two liter...SWEET!!!! I had an XL sausage. It tasted great and It's the only place I will order pizza only from Verona Pizza. I still want to try thier other menu items but I can't imagine not having the pizza.

I will definately order pizza from here again. The delivery is not lengthy in the least bit, and the pizza is good. They are not at all pricey, so the pizzas more than worth what you end up paying for it.
