Avoid at all cost! The service is terrible and you run the risk of food poisoning! Had to wait for over two hours for our food. We got the meal comped, but so did the explosive diarrhea everyone who tried the mussels got! Have never been back but know of 3 other groups of people who got sick eating there!

Great service! Michelle did a terrific job. I will be back! Salad and breadsticks were always full. Meal was served promptly. Great meal.

Service ws good, waitress was very nice and prompt .the food was ok, the risotto was a little bland and while the sauce for the rosemary chicken was very good the chicken itself was flavorless

Service was very quick; yet the food was so outstanding it should have taken three times as long. Services was excellent as usual. I had the baked shrimp Parmesan and it was fantastic. Will have it again. Lasagna Primavera got 2 thumbs up also.

I had the 6 ounce Filet with the mixed vegetables. The vegetables, a mix of zucchini, garlic, tomatoes, and squash was very tasty but the Filet was not what I expected. I have had a 6 ounce Filet at other restaurants but this one looked like a 3 ounce Filet and was not very pleasing at all., yuk! I would not order a Filet or a steak from Olive Garden, you will be disappointed. The salad is always good and the cold salad plate is a plus. Again, avoid their steaks... On a positive note the staff is very friendly and asked numerous times if my steak was good, I lied just to avoid that awkward moment when your waiter comes back and says "Was the food not to your liking", then the chef comes out and checks up on your new steak, then the manager stops by and asks the same question. Before long everyone in the restaurant is looking at you like your a complainer.

We arrived here one Saturday evening and hour and a half before they were closing and had waiter that hated seeing us! They made you seem like you were taking up there time for something else! Why does this place stink so bad!!! It smells wet and moldy! Every time i decide to give this place another chance I usually end up wasting my money! WILL NOT BE BACK!

It could be because of it being a hot summer, but the soups aren't as good as I remember them. I found too many large chunks of potato and in the bottom of the bowl...just potato peelings. A few more whacks with a knife would have been amazing! I could not even finish the serving...not delicious. I ordered the Chicken and Gnocchi soup prior to that. That soup was alright. It was not second servings worthy. I had the unlimited soups, salad, and breadsticks and my boyfriend ordered plain Fettuccine Alfredo. We weren't blown away by the taste. Just head down the road for good flavor...there are much better Italian options on the south side. We went there only since we were searching for a different restaurant, but it has since closed down. I see the usual elderly and family crowd in the parking lot (as I'm heading south on US 31). Bland flavor fans, I assume? Although, it's a step above Carino's for very few reasons. Both are washed up chains, but that's Indy for you. The good parts...was fast service and seating. The water tasted a bit funky when we arrived, but got better after the next few refills were poured. We won't return. Buca has our hearts!

If getting full and satiety are what you desire than you can't beat the Olive Garden. Unlimited Soup or Salad and Breadsticks with every meal. I do like their newest versions of sauces for pasta...par of the Cucina Mia campaign. Not a big fan of the selected pastas, although the gluten free did appeal to my tastes when I don't normally steer that direction. Not a fan of their alfredo, as Im nota heavy cream fan, but I know loads of people are. if this appeals to you then I highly recommend the seasonal Asiago Alfredo sauce only around for a limited time.

What I expect from every OG. Consistent service, food, and atmosphere. Nothing sets this location apart from others, nor does it do anything wrong to make it worse than other locations.

Love me some section partners! We had so many people stopping by our table, we almost forgot who our server was. We never went without salad or breadsticks & drinks were always refilled. I wanted to eat the 2/$25 deal and the appetizer of Bruschetta was perfect! Just what I wanted! Dinner was a hard, but immediate decision because I ran out of time deciding. I guess we'll just have to go back!

Very disappointed. Greeter never smiled (or spoke directly to us). Service was painfully slow. Salad had brown spots and wilty. Notified manager who did give us a gift card and apology. However after that the service remained poor and the meal was only adequate. Not worth the money.

What can I say, sometimes I just feel like hitting up the O.G. Yes, I know it's the butt of jokes. I don't care. I've eaten at multiple three-star Michelin restaurants. I still don't care. Now and then, the O.G. is the right place at the right time.

We rolled into ye ol' Olive Garden a little over a week ago. The food overall was pretty decent..and of course the salad and bread sticks were good as always. The mistake I made was ordering the lobster with shrimp cannelloni. It's not a bad dish..there just isn't that much actual lobster within the contents. Our server was good and checked up on us often..but for the noise level in there..she was a little too soft spoken. But..hey..it was still a good time.

I have been there a couple times and the service is always consistent. I really like the food especially their bread sticks and salad. I always get tiramisu in dessert and it is amazing. The service is always great and I like how they always check on you to make sure if we need anything. I would def recommend it.

Service sucked the last I was there...and the meal was very small for the price...but i was able to fill up on salad...but I had to beg for more.

When I review chain restaurants like the OG there usually isn't much to say (I'm no Marilyn Hagerty). This one isn't any different. Olive Garden has changed up their logo and menu, which is fun. I didn't order anything new, but it's good to see them trying to update things. Our server was ok, but did seem to have a hard time keeping up with the busy restaurant. What more is there to say? It's exactly what I expected. And I'm ok with that.

We have been meaning to check this place out for a while. When I saw what all the elites had to say about the new menu we couldn't resist. The restaurant itself is nice. And I love how big the booths are. We were seated immediately. I love the new menu if only for its simplicity. I despise restaurants with six page menus. Someone once told me it's better to do ten things great than to do fifty things averagely. We ordered the stuffed mushrooms and risotto bites. The mushrooms were good, but the risotto bites were amazing. I also liked the chicken gnocchi soup a lot. I wish there were more gnocchis in it, but still quite good. I had the lasagna fritta, which is technically an appetizer, as my entree. I had peeked at their menu online before we went. I spotted the lasagna and immediately knew that's what I'd be having. What can I say, I usually go for the least healthy item on the menu. It was great. Even with very high expectations I wasn't disappointed. Two of the others in our party had the stuffed chicken Marsala and liked it a lot. Overall, our meal was great. Lastly, and most importantly to me, the staff was great. Our waitress Tammy went out of our way to be helpful, especially in helping us decide what to order. And there was a gentleman who I assumed was the manager was making rounds and speaking to people. I was close enough to hear his discussion with another diner. He seemed to be genuinely concerned and helpful. I think we'll be coming back quote a bit more.

Decided to come back as its been awhile since I have visited Olive Garden. Since I was here they have done a remodel inside and out. I like the new look. Clean and modern with hardwood and a calming color pallet. We were seated right away at a booth in the bar. Our server took a minute to take our drink order but was very patient when it came to our order as I had no clue what I wanted. After some time she came back and took our order. Before leaving she asked if we wanted salad and breadsticks. I feel like that's like asking if I want oxygen! Up until this point the service had been pretty decent. However, from here on out it kind of goes downhill. I feel like the bar area only had one server, and they kept sitting more and more people in that area. The salad and breadsticks came out first, after waiting several minutes. The breadsticks never meet my expectation as that only happens when they come out to the table fresh out of the oven....which like never happens. The salad wasn't bad...and by that I mean there wasn't any brown lettuce or anything. A short time later our food came out, and was delivered by a girl that had no clue what table she was delivering to. When she was pointed in the right direction she set them on the table and told us our server would be over with cheese if we wanted it. Well, our server was under the impression that was done by the not-so-friendly food runner...so we didn't get cheese until we flagged her down. The food wasn't bad. Nothing special, but nothing terrible. Just your typical Olive Garden dinner. Our server did come back a couple times to check on us, but she really struggled to give everyone the service they deserved. I'd go back again, as I love Italian and the Olive Garden isn't a terrible place. BUT I may not sit in the bar again in fear of getting just mediocre service.

The food is better than some of the OG other locations I have visited locally and out of state. It's average tasting Italian type food fare. It seems to be fairly consistent in taste. The salads are decent and the breadsticks are average. The primary problem I have with this restaurant is, that it seems it's becoming more and more expensive to eat there for the quality and amount of food received. The last time we dined there, I was really appalled at how expensive a dinner is anymore. They are easily averaging 12.00 plus. When I compared what I ordered to my dinner guest's choice, it seemed the portion sizes are extremely inconsistent. For instance: a chicken marsala dish versus a chicken scampi dish is very lopsided. The scampi dish could have fed two people easily, but the chicken Marsala dish was basically ample enough for one person for the most part. The Marsala dish was even more expensive as well. Another dinner guest had a chicken dish that was paltry looking as well for 13 - 14 bucks. It even said on the entrée description that spinach was included with the dish. When the dish came out, all that was on the plate were three lousy spinach leaves. It was really pathetic. The way the entree description read, one would think you would get a side of spinach. OY I don't feel very motivated to go to OG much anymore for dinner. There are far more better restaurants to choose from, definitely considering the consistency and general quality, value and the amount of food received too. I would maybe consider the soup and salad lunch in the future, and that's about it. ********Also, beware of the little electronic terminals at each table now! The restaurant seems to try to sucker you out of more money when using them. Basically, the premise is, they offer video games and other things on it. The catch is you have to pay to play. When a game popped up on our monitor, it didn't ask for my authorization/agreement to play and pay. So, I started messing around with it for a few minutes before the waitress came back to our table. I asked her if the game that was currently on the monitor was free or a sample. She said she would go check to make sure I wasn't being charged for it without my consent. She came back to the table and told me that we weren't being charged. After I got home, I looked at my receipt closer, Lo and behold there was a charge. It was very annoying and quite sneaky. It may have been only 2 dollars, but I don't like being lied to or being taken advantage of. It's a matter of principle. Period! I called the restaurant to inform them of this matter. They say they fixed the sketchy practice/situation. I will add that the recent renovation and redecorating attempt is quite nice. But I have to wonder if we are really paying for it one way or another. Somebody has to of course, and it's always the customer.

I have been to a few Olive Gardens, but this one has been my favorite. I enjoyed the decor. The lighting makes it feel like your table is secluded from the others and creates a lovely ambience. I was able to try some new items that I enjoyed much, and mm, all the breadsticks. Had some apple bread pudding for dessert and was full and satisfied!

Woof.. Our service was less than stellar and my 'lite' lasagna or whatever it was super small. I know that normally lite dishes are smaller than normal, but for $12, give me some more food please! I love the salad and breadsticks, but I'm never a huge fan of the OG

Large boat of Alfredo cheese dip for your bread sticks is awesome. The large shared salad is very well made, minus the onions for me though. All the meals here are as expected, tasty, and priced right. Service varies, but overall is decent. Good place for some good Italian food.

Went for lunch today. While this place has been reviewed a bunch of times, I felt the need to write about the great service we received today from a waiter named Eric. He was very good, personable and attentive. While assisting a table behind us, he overheard my mother say the salad was too dry and needed more dressing. I didn't realize he had heard the comment. He walks away from that table and when he comes back through carrying a tray he stops at our table and left a small bowl of extra dressing. When our entrees arrived my mom asked for more sauce on the pasta. He takes it back immediately and adds more sauce, all within minute or so. Very prompt. Often times I admit this chain has average food, today the food was more enjoyable because of the really good service.

My wife loves this place. It's her favorite restaurant. I like it, too. I always get the Lasagna Classico, it's my favorite entree. The salad and breadsticks are awesome! There is always great customer service here. The food is always excellent. Always a great visit. The only thing to remember is to come early as possible because this place gets super busy during dinner hours.

I know it's just Olive Garden, I know it's just a chain restaurant...but I love it! It is still my favorite Italian restaurant. How can you not love those piping hot garlic buttery breadsticks? Or that amazing Italian dressing? I can't get enough of Olive Garden. I could eat here every week. And the time when they have the Chianti tomato sauce? Oh you better believe I'm there washing it down with a refreshing sweet strawberry bellini. Olive Garden is my guilty pleasure.

Olive Garden has been working on its image, and the change is dramatic (don't worry, the complimentary breadsticks haven't gone anywhere). The quality of food is still very much the same, but the menu has been changed up a bit, and will continue to change a few times a year. The new fried risotto is excellent, and the Northern Tour of Italy is a great change up to the menu. Service for us was top notch, our waitress was very attentive and our drinks from the bar were delivered in a timely manner, and were well made.

Love OG! Free breadsticks and salad with any entre? Amazing. They are also very guest oriented.

Waitress was very slow couldn't multitask at all. Then found a Roach on the wall right above our table and crawled all over our table.. We weren't done eating but after that we were.. I will never go back due to this plus another previous incident where I found a hair in my food.. The manager was very nice and tried to make everything right but I still will never be back..

Wonderful Italian meals ,actually my family love his salad and the hot bread sticks we also recommend the grilled sea food there they coked it perfectly.

I always get the toscana soup and bread-sticks. We tried the doughnuts and they were delicious (skip the chocolate sauce). We sit at a table in the bar to avoid the screaming children and avoid the wait. My only complaint is that the waiting area is adjacent to the bar, so that unruly children can point their screaming mouths right in your direction. I wish they would put up a partition of some sort (like Louie's in Greenwood has)

Indeed there is always a long wait. But the food and service have always been good when I have gone.

Waited about 15 minutes for a table. The server guy was efficient and friendly. The food was ok although somewhat pricey. At least we loaded up on the breadsticks!

The staff here is great! We found this place near the mall in Greenwood. My family loves this place. I guess we aren't use to going out to eat as a family in New York since we eat our meals at home. We will be back again before we go back home.

THERE IS ALWAYS A WAIT. REGARDLESS. But it is Olive Garden and sometimes you just have to have that Garlic Breadstick fix. Happy Dining!

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
