Gandolfo’s New York Deli Menu

Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Good sandwich place to eat at. I recommend a "to go" order though. I agree about the staff. The customer service is an issue and they seem to have a few kinks to get worked out. I love the Bronx BBQ (score based on taste). There is a ridiculous upcharge for a few things. If you want a "fat pickle" it will be a $1 more. You may enjoy Fireside Subs more for this info. It is definitely better than any BBQ option from Quizno's. The staff needs to match with the good food options, however' I hear many meats are fattier in taste.

Never got to try it. Waited in a line for 20 mins without greetings, warmth, or explanations. As we approached the counter, one of two operating registers closed. The clerk simply murmuring, "it don't work." Without eye contact or apology the clerk left, yet: many other staff members were standing idly around....odd experience. Might like to try again but it did seem pricey. Obviously it's a deli but I'm not a meat eater, yet: there seem to be a lot of options I would roll with glady! I like the New York environment but I'd throw in a dash of Hoosier Hospitality =)

My first visit here I ordered the the big tuna salad. It was simple, but very good and everything was fresh. A little disappointed they didn't include the croutons, but the tuna & the staff made up for it. My better half enjoyed his as well! Will return!

Very glad to see this place open on this side of Greenwood. The have a huge menu offering of classic and unique subs and sandwiches. I mean, they even have the "rocky balboa".. How can you not like a place that has a sub named after Rocky. Any way, give it a try. They offer both hot and cold sandwiches, soup and salad.

I saw this place opened and then a couple of days later saw coupons for them in the mail. I decided to give them a try this past week and I thought it was a great sandwich. I'm a little surprised at the negative reviews so far. When I went in the place was packed! Aside from the time it took to get a sandwich because of so many customers, I thought it was a straight-forward dining experience. Stand in line. Read the menu. Pick what you want. Order it. Take a seat. When your order is ready, they'll come out and yell your name and hand it to you. Not really that confusing. I ordered the Rockefeller Reuben. Classic version with corned beef, sauerkraut and spicy mustard on a slightly toasted marble rye bread. It tasted great. Sure it wasn't piled high with meat, but I didn't get it "deli" style with the double meat option. I also ordered a small soft drink and gigantic dill pickle and it was less than $10. Sure, you can eat cheaper at another sandwich place, but you won't get this sandwich there. Also, use a coupon to save some money and try something new. I'll definitely be back and I've already told a number of friends to try them out.

The place is delicious, but they will over charge and under deliver if you don't watch them like a hawk! Eaten their twice, first time they tried to overcharge me 4.50 in add ons I didn't order. The second time, I ordered 3 sandwiches and a hot dog, they only gave me 2 sandwiches, and then tried to argue with me that my receipt was wrong, and I only ordered the 2 sandwiches. Honestly, the food isnt worth the grief.

Fast and delicious food. Their subs are a good size the half and whole. The Philly cheese steak is delicious .

Waited in a line 14 people deep which went surprisingly quickly. Then I waited in line for 15 minutes for my to-go order of a single, cold sandwich. Pros: Many options and choices. Generous use of cold cuts. Cons: Sub roll is a horrible, enriched piece of tasteless fluff. Extremely expensive. Not even close to an authentic NYC Deli sandwich.

I had never even heard of this place, and ate here because it was conveniently across the street from where I was working that day. I love sandwiches, and I love delis! A place with a name like this must be great, right? Not so much.... Confusion reigns here. Well, it does at this location anyway. This place is not friendly to experience as a first timer, and if I can help it I won't be a second timer. I followed my co workers in after I got off my phone. It took me a minute to figure out where they were. This place uses the feeder line to get you to the order station. It took us a while to decipher the menu. It's clunky and clumsy. At first I thought there were different styles of sandwiches, and then I realized that they are all basically subs, and the sandwiches are organized by the primary meat. (HUH?) You then have to look at the silly new york name they give it and look at the toppings underneath. Then you have to remember the name, because if you have to try and find it again it could take another 5 minutes. We ordered at the pickup window. I still don't understand how their system works. I don't know if we were supposed to sit or actually pick up our food when it was ready. I had ordered a turkey bacon sub and requested no tomatoes. A few bites in there were plenty of tomatoes to be found. I'm surprised I found them given the head of lettuce they shoved in there. We had picked a table and they brought the food to us. The chairs are seemingly designed to have you in and out in a hurry. Hard straight backed things that resemble nothing that would offer comfort of any kind. My body learned to ignore it after a while. If there is a Penn Station within 20 miles, I would rather go there. The menu is easy to decipher, it's clear and straightforward, and they don't jam a lot of junk into an overpriced sandwich. ....and... it's a much better sandwich. There was one bright spot to the visit. The boss bought lunch.

Super tasty sandwich but the kid behind the counter was rude. Sorry kid that we walked in at 830 and ate and made sure to leave before you closed at 9!!! Hope your evening wasn't ruined!! (Ps, I work as a waitress and I wish I was able to leave work by 9)

YOUR HEAD ESPLODE FROM DERE MEATS! Seriously, a deli this mighty and mean gracing the means streets of Greenwood seemed impossible. However, the sun has shined brightlyon this place. I dare you not to each this place and have your sense pleased to euphoric amounts. Much love Gandolfo's.

Sandwich was pretty good but thought it was pretty pricy. Over ten bucks for a sandwich on normal loaf bread. The sandwich was loaded with meat. I got the Knuckle. Won't be back unless I have a coupon or someone else is paying!

This place is generous with their toppings, makes me wonder how crazy "deli style" would be...

I was craving Chinese food for dinner but I was talked into coming here instead and I am glad I did. I ordered the meatball sub. I know that is about as far away from sweet and sour chicken you can get. It was delicious! I order the whole and I should have ordered a half because that sandwich is huge. My husbands sandwich was quite tasty when I took a bite of it as well. He ordered me cole slaw as a side. Normally I hate cole slaw, and one would think after all the years together he would remember that but it was quite tasty. So I would say they made me a fan off the cole slaw alone. Since we were first timers the manager came to our table to check out and see if we enjoyed everything. It was obvious that we had never been there since it took me forever to decide what to order since the Chinese food i wanted was not on the menu...There menu is huge. I cant wait to return.

Not a New York Deli, Nasty food, Nasty staff. Pretty sure the owner is the same who owned the nasty Mexican restaurant that went out of business in same place. How in the world can you wait 30 minutes to get a freaking sandwich? They give it to you wrong, and then tell you that is how you ordered it. This place will be out of business in a year or so.

My mom came down to visit and have lunch. We called to place an order for pickup. They seemed like it was odd to have someone place the order even though the website says that you can. My mom went to pick it up and stood over by the pickup sign and no one attempted to help her. She went to the order sign and they told her to go back to the pick up sign. She finally got back with the sandwich. It was just ok. We go a whole "Brooklyn bridge" turkey sandwich to split (12") Lots of turkey, probably too much. Bacon was limp not crispy at all. There was also a weird taste to it, not sure if it was the pepper they use on it or what. This sandwich was definitely not worth the almost $12. Just because it is New York deli doesn't mean they need to have New York prices! Next time I will just go to jimmy johns!

Save your money and go to a real deli downtown called Shapiro's. When they have to advertise in the store to try your sandwich "deli style", and you're IN a deli, that should tell you something. If you like chain restaurant, overpriced, "where's the beef?", McAlistair style delis, this place is for you. I had the New York Pastrami, which had paper-thin, saly pastrami hiding under over-buttered, toasted rye bread. The honeymoon must be over, as I was there slightly after noon on a weekeday with very few customers in the building. Hopefully something better will open up in this location in the future.

The pastrami on rye was good and was made well. It's nice to see new places popping up besides the normal greenwood blur. I do have an issue though with this location as someone stated before on pricing, I too have seen by what they meant. My 11.09 ended up being 13.09 with no drinks and the toppings that the gentleman said where included. Even if this was a mistake it should of been caught when he told me the price by him which gives me the impression it was on purpose. Next time I won't be in a rush...I will try again and see what happens then my review might change :) here's hoping!

THE BEST SANDWICH SHOP EVER. YOU MUDT GO HERE. the regular 6 inch is about $6-$7 and for an extra $3 you can get a large. There are plenty of choices and the sandwiches can be hot or cold. Large dill pickles for a $1. Broccoli cheddar soup is okay; I prefer Panera's. I hear their chili is good. For me, it's all about the turkey bacon sandwich, their deli meat is thinly sliced and when warmed it's heavenly. I go here whenever I'm in the area and I still crave the place!

    (5)
  • Joel C.

Great food but it's regularly spoiled by incompetent employees. There's never any urgency here, especially at lunchtime when I need to eat and get back to work. Today, I literally saw three people in line leave because service was taking so long. And if the Taxi Driver wasn't so delicious, I might have bounced too.

    (3)
  • Jeremy S.

I used to like their sandwiches when they first opened THEN they changed their bread and it's like chewing on a piece of leather. BRING BACK THE OLD BREAD!!

    (2)
  • Ashley H.

Understaffed, especially for a Saturday afternoon, and service was very slow. Cashier seemed resentful to be working. Cole slaw was bland and seemed a day old. When sandwiches finally came out 20 minutes later, they were decent. Plenty of menu options, which is a plus, but like a previous reviewer said, it's not worth the grief. Shapiros is still, by far, the best deli in town.

    (3)
  • Brice S.

I ate here for lunch the other day. I had the BBQ Roastbeef. It was a good sandwich. There was a lot of meat and the bun was fresh. I am not sure how anyone would need to order extra meat. The only negative aspect about my experience would be all the extra questions after the order to add items to my meal.... Extra meat, a pickle, a combo meal.... If you are eating for one the half sandwich is more than enough and the sides are good portions. Give this place a try if you are looking for a good sandwich spot!

    (4)
  • Tony D.

Very good sandwiches but also very expensive, the Reuben's and pastrami sandwich is great but I don't care for the deli salads, I go a couple times a year and although it can be slow the Reuben always makes it worth while.

  • Amanda B.

My first trip and I will be back. The menu and ordering process is a little ridiculous but they have a ton of options and the portions are big with lots of meat. I had the Philly cream cheese steak and it was soggy but it was good and deff want to try some different sandwiches. Unfortunately the location is hard to get to and will prob ruin this place. Park around back.I think it would do well in another location. Better than most sub places. Prepare to spend about $7-10 for a half or half combo but it's a quality sandwich.

I stopped by here for dinner on my way home from work tonight and got it to go. Admittedly, it took awhile but I got home and we chowed down on some DELICIOUS sandwiches!!!! I am from NY and it isn't truly a New York Style deli, but who cares!!! The combination of meats, cheeses, sauces and bread are spot like a party in my mouth!!!!Additionally, I love getting sides such as potato salad that is truly homemade and soups that aren't just your typical soups. I read several reviews about the cost and I am shocked. Have you been to the grocery store lately?? These sandwiches are made with high quality meats that aren't heavily processed like Subway. Deli meat is expensive. This place is worth every single dime!!! The only regret I have about our dinner choice is how tight my pants feel!!! I am stuffed!!!
