I love Mexican restaurants, and giving any restaurant or business a 1 star is hard for me to do. So deserving, that I'm writing this as I'm sitting at my table instead of waiting a week for me to say anything. The service is so bad, you might as well come on in and serve yourself, or stay home, or go anywhere else. The other reviews complain about the service, so I'm surprised that it seems like nothing has ever been done. I don't live in this area, so maybe it's a community thing, but drink specials don't exist. If you're curious you can ask, but you'll get a "no" and a look from the server as if we still lived in the prohibition period. First, we received Chips and Salsa. Give credit when it's due, the Salsa is certainly tasty. Unfortunately, that was my only positive experience today. The queso was luke warm at best. I can't say I've ever had cold queso before, but now I can. There isn't a combo list like you'd see at many other Mexican restaurants, so I went a la cart with two beef tacos and a chicken burrito. This sums up my overall experience pretty well Friend- "is it the best taco you've ever had?" Me- "Far From" I hate to bash so bluntly, but there's very good Mexican restaurants 20 minutes away from this store that are well worth it. I wish this place the best in turning around, but I'm thankful to live somewhere much closer to many better choices.

I seriously don't know why we keep coming back here. Our family frequents this restaurant on a fairly regular basis. The positive is that the salsa is fresh and pretty good as are the chips and queso. The not so great... The food is decent, but no matter how many times we come, the service is either feast or famine... Usually famine. The place is usually packed and they seem to have plenty of staff. So I'm just not sure where the disconnect is. There are other options in town. We will be trying them.

2 out of 3 of our orders were wrong. The waiter wasn't tentative at all. We had to flag him down whenever we needed any refills. The food tastes good but not really sure if it's worth eating with the service you get with it.

Great food, great atmosphere, lackluster service. I love Mi Casa, but the service can certainly be altered, to say the least. The food is spectacular, and the atmosphere is very inviting.

Fantastic service and delicious authentic tasting food! The atmosphere was comfortable and inviting. A very nice Mexican restaurant that was not outrageously expensive.

I love this place! My husband works nearby, and we meet him for dinner here a lot when he has to put in some extra hours. I love their salsa. It always has tons of cilantro and chunks of tomatoes. I sometimes have him pick that up as take out. I usually got the chicken, rice and queso dish, but the Spanish name escapes me. The chicken is always tender and good and always a large serving. I always have enough left for lunch the next day. Their combo fajitas are wonderful too. We usually make the drive here because we prefer it over a lot of the Indy options.

The last three times we have been here we have had the worst service. Tonight, after ten minutes of being ignored, we left without even placing a drink order. Two tables who came in after us had drinks and were placing orders. Good food, but I am done. Never again.

Nothing fancy but food was good and so was service. I really liked the salsa, many places overlook this staple. The Greenfield fajitas were good and all ingredients were fresh. Tasty!

Came here on a date and the service was horrid. Waited 15 minutes for someone to get our order. When we got our food, my cheese enchilada came out as a chicken enchilada. And our server never came back to check on us. Food was sub-par. I would rather have Taco Bell then here again.

You know, it's really not fair to compare this place to "real" Mexican food, but that's what I gotta do. Came here with some co-workers for lunch. As I looked over the menu, I withered my expectations, and prepared myself for what was to come. I tried the carne asada burrito, with some beans and rice. The meat was kinda tough, and the chips and salsa we had were not fresh. I kind of curse the fact that I was surrounded by such great Mexican food out in San Diego, because now, anytime I have Mexican food, it is SO disappointing. At least it was cheap. Chuck Norris Rating- purple nurple

Poor service but good food once you finally get it. Don't expect for them to get your order correct the first time. Also, you should expect to be ignored by your server for the majority of your visit.

I give 2 stars for the food, which was pretty good. However, when the wait staff wants to argue and fight about NOT taking your table right in front of you?? So not kewl. Head the warnings about the service here, I wish we had. We won't go back.

I didn't think that Mi Casa was all that bad. We were there for lunch on a Sunday with my boyfriend's sister, who lives in Greenfield. Apparently, it is the best Mexican restaurant in town. We had decent service and the food wasn't bad either. Nor was the decor too over-the-top cheesy! Our chips and salsa were fresh. The salsa is already pretty mild, but if you have kids with you, you can order some extra mild salsa for them -- Dan's 2 1/2 year old nephew practically drinks the stuff! We also ordered queso, and I nearly filled up on it before my entree arrived. The carnitas were on special that day, and since you don't find them on all Mexican restaurant menus around here, I decided to give them a try. Not bad, but they were served in big chunks and could have used some extra seasoning. I prefer my carnitas to be more shredded, less huge chunks and with a little more kick! I wouldn't order them again if I went back. Everyone else in the group had quesadillas and they seemed to like them. Mi Casa also offers a kid's menu with both Mexican and American options. One interesting thing I noted on the menu, but was not brave enough to try -- they have lamb meat in some of their dishes. I simply LOVE well-prepared lamb, but was afraid to go for it a Mexican joint in Greenfield. If you are brave enough, please yelp about it-- I'd like to hear how a chimichanga or quesadilla with lamb in it tastes!

Good service-food quality pretty good, prices reasonable. Seating--ok--not the most comfortable.

I've been going to Mi Casa for a long time and I have to say I've never had a bad experience. There have been maybe one time that it wasn't up to par, but overall this is the best place for Mexican food in Greenfield. The food is always fresh and hot and seasoned well. My wife and I are fans of Mexican food and have been to many other establishments and we can still say we are fans of this place. I hope that you will give Mi Casa a try the next time you're in Greenfield and have a craving for Mexican food.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
