We really enjoyed spending the week here and will be going back next year. I wish it weren't so difficult to get a reservation. We rented a deluxe camp site for our 33' fifth wheel and it was a great fit. Gorgeous spacious site with a fire pit and lots of shade. We were very close to the pools, park and splash pad. I don't see a need to rent a golf cart but many people had, in my opinion everything was in walking or riding bike distance. My son only wanted to do one craft event, animaland which is $20. I did find it expensive and really an unnecessary expense. I think they should really offer more crafts or activities without an added expense. If you are taking a few kids that will want to participate, that will add up quickly! The pools stay open late as does the store, that's a great feature. The splash pad is wonderful and really big. Our toddlers and older kids all enjoyed it. I even went down a slide or two! The store and grill are reasonably priced for a campground. The ice cream was delicious and has great prices, 8 ice cream cones for under $20 and a few of us had double scoops! The huge waterslide are also an addition expense, $25 for the week. You can also buy day or single ride passes. My husband and teenage son enjoyed the waterslides and got a great workout climbing all those stairs!

So, like everyone else I will say that it has buttloads for the kids to do.... 3 pools, water park stuff for the little ones and lots to rent like golf carts. Cool. But NO shade at all at the pools and bouncy pillows. Bring your own shade because you won't find any! We were wiped out after 3 hours in total sun. So much for enjoying all of the pools and fun features... which you really can't do in one day anyhow. The other things.... It is very busy, crowded and loud. There is a super loud freeway that the park butts up to. Between that and the barking dogs I might as well get wasted so I pass out because sleeping will not be in the stars for me. I recommend bringing a sleeping mask and ear plugs, seriously. The bathrooms. I get it... Conserve water. But really, a shower where you have to hold the button for water the entire time? There is no 10 seconds, not even 5 seconds. It shuts off as soon as you move your hand. I'm about damn blind in my right eye now from shampoo. The fire pits are old rusty truck rims and very, very small. To boot, we have to share it with our neighbor. Bizarre. Update - holy mother of God was the fire hot due to that metal rim as a pit. When we tried to roast marshmallows it was honestly painful. My husband has no hair left on his right hand. Burned. Off. It was too hot for the kids to get close enough to. They were disappointed. This is not a place for "real" camping or adults with no kids. They do some awesome advertising/website because although it's a big place the sites are really packed together. I give it 3 stars only because the kids liked the pools and there is a store and other conveniences right on the premises.

Enjoyed a four-day visit with my family at the end of June. Highlights: - this place is great for kids (made me wish I was 8 years old again) - most activities that are not free and relatively affordable Two complaints: In regard to the beds in the cottages...don't expect to get a good night's sleep, especially if you weigh more than 150 pounds. Also, considering the cost, having to bring your own linens is a minor annoyance. That said my family thoroughly enjoyed themselves, and we began planning our return visit before we left. Perfect getaway for a long weekend.

We stayed in the Deluxe cabins which are nice but not comfortable at all. If you have little kids its nearly impossible to give them a shower because it's so tiny and not to forget theirs no light in so it's completely dark. The mattresses are the worst I have ever seen or slept on very uncomfortable. They have a TV guide listing out on the tv ( see pic) but you only get about 8 channels. No wifi only by ranger station. I don't know where but their must be a hole in the cabin#3 because the flies were terrible that's all we did was kill flies for 3 days. No to mention it sucks to have to bring all your own linens for the price you pay to stay in a " deluxe cabin". $225 a night it's worth about $110 at most. Enough on the cabin the ranger station opened at 8am every morning but nobody got there till 5 or 10 after 8am so it was a wait to get coffee because that was even a longer wait. We also went in at 11:30 on morning to get pizza I asked if they had any and the girl said I can put one in. Shouldn't they be ready since you sell food and you have a rotating pizza warmer to put them in? Water parks were great kids had a great time and had fun at all the playgrounds and activities constantly going on. Great place for kids but overpriced in the cabin.

We have been camping for years all over the midwest and we as adults think its a 2 star for many reasons Great for kids but very pricey for what you get for the cheap seats next to the very noisey I80. We did not find a level campsite yet in the 3 years bringing the grandkids. $50 a day for a golf carts and they now will not let anyone 20 or younger drive. And they have threatened family with being kicked out for no wrist band needed to drive the carts. The cost of $242 for 2 nights and cart for grandma was too much for having to level every site. We had 5 trailers this time and will not be back anytime soon.

It's expensive to stay for the night and not everything is included, just so you know. Water slides, mini golf, and paddle boats are extra. No cable and we couldn't get anything from antenna. Wi fi only works near the main lodge and isn't even an option if your in the T section. Water has odd metallic smell / taste. Otherwise lots of kid filled pools and things for kids to do. Massive trampoline was really fun. Great place to bring kids. We camped in a travel trailer.

For all of those of us that are still kids at heart this is the camp ground for you. How many of us don't remember Yogi and the gang. The show that we all loved has been turned into a real campground. Great place to take kids or have a group camping trip. There are so many actives to keep both kids and adults. They have four different pools, a kiddy water park, water slides, bumper boats, jumping pillows (which are crazy fun for kids and adults), putt-putt, bingo, and so much more. If you bring a bike to get around it is a lot of fun or you can rent one or a peddle car or even a golf cart. on weekends they have so many things lead by camp employees to keep the kids out of the hair of adults. so do cost though. Also on weekends they do a mid-afternoon adult only bingo. It cost a bit more than the evening bingo but the pots are bigger. Helpful hint is you can bring beer with you just pack it in a small cooler. The sites in the most part are fairly large. All have water and electric hook ups and some even have sewer. In the back part of the campground it is a lot more tree covered and shady. However they seem to be a bit smaller sites. At the front of the park the sites are bigger but don't have as much shade. They are how ever closer to the ranger station and the pool area. If you do have a large group it is nicer to be in the front of the park because the sites are big and close to everything people want to do. If there is one thing though that i don't like about the this place it would be the showers that they have in the ranger station bathrooms. You can't adj the temperature and also they are the old school push button handles so they turn off to fast before you can even get wet enough to soap up. Other than that i always have a great time at the park.

Raise you're hand if you remember growing up on Hanna Barbera. Yeah mainly older people... whom may or may not have kids. Doesn't matter. This place is awesome! Seriously, my only complaint is that a few areas could have more shade... Oh, and i wish i didn't have to go to the one ranger station in the campground to get wi-fi. Only complaints. Annnddd. maybe they could sell beer. Ok I'm done. Yes this place is crawling with children... But you don't really realize it. There are 4 different pools here. One with a volleyball net and basketball hoops set up in it, a kiddy pool not even a foot deep with fountains and slides and toddler fun stuff, a regular hotel looking pool, and then an indoor pool in what looks like a green house. And then theres another small one i you count the ones with the 3 big water slides! Yes kick ass water slides. The campground itself es very spread out, but with plenty of permanent sites, camper sites and tent sights. There's a small island over a bridge to make camp on, with its own beach on the lake. There's sights in the back along the tree line, but closer to the highway, and even 2 separate cabin areas. There are multiple playgrounds, a putt putt course a, water wars, bike and cart rentals, and a a little train to take you around, and sometimes a wagon. They have a huge entertainment building where there are arts and crafts during the day for the kids, or airbrush tattoos, and some days a scavenger hunt. Every night they have bingo with all the proceeds going to the winners of the about 15 or so games called. On the weekend afternoons they even have adult bingo which is 21 and up, and is nice to escape the kids for awhile and bring a cooler of beer and have fun. There's a huge baseball field and a horseshoe pit and open area to get a group together or just let the kids run around. And there are meet and greets with the Yogi characters every day. The campground has different theme weeks all summer long, check the website for details. My favorite is Christmas in July towards the end of the month where the camp sites can decorate to their hearts content and theres different Christmas themed contests! Its a great place for young and old alike! if you want to get away there's outlet malls and antique stores right down the street as well as wineries and a Buffalo preserve! Oh and added bonus? In the mornings they get Tom's Doughnuts delivered to the ranger station!! Trust me, their the best doughnuts in the area right off Lake James. Check it all out!
