I first tried Zaxby's in GA. It was above average. Over a week after they opened locally, the wait time was still about 30 minutes for dinner. I ate the Big Sak meal which included 3 fried pieces of chicken, seasoned fries, Texas toast and a drink for over $5. The chicken was ok, the fries sometimes tasted undercooked, and the toast was a good addition. The 100+ drink selections need to be filled so I tried the Sprite Orange (not the best choice). I think I enjoy my $2.99 (because of my coupon) for Arby's 3 premium chicken pieces and seasoned fries better than what I ordered at Zaxby's. I was interested in trying the Cajun chicken burger and the spicy fried mushroom. So hopefully, I will try them one day on sale.

The Cajun Chicken something or other sandwich was really good. High quality chicken, good bun etc... But the mushrooms... First of all for $3.29.. the amount you get are a total joke. I thought they messed up and went back through the drive through (total pain in the butt), but was assured that was the right amount. Equivalent amount to that of a happy meal sized fry... $3.29... Plus, the were poorly fried, cold, mushroom slices. How are you supposed to dip that into anything? Now... Props to the manager. She gave me more without being asked. Ends up they're gross anyway so more grossness doesn't do me much good. But I appreciate the awareness and effort. I'll go back for the chicken one more time and try something else.

I first tried Zaxby's many many years ago and made a point to eat there every time I went to South Carolina. It was literally one of my favorite restaurants and I was pumped to see the new location coming to Fishers, just about 2 miles from my house. We ordered take out the other night and it was overall a big let down. Let me be the first to say that carry out always loses a little magic because of the time delay in getting the food home and unpacked. That aside however, the best thing we had was the crinkle fries. In our order were boneless wings (hot honey mustard and sweet and spicy) and a grilled chicken sandwich. While the sauces were very good, there just wasn't much sauce on the boneless wings!! The boneless wings were small and over breaded and our overall experience left me very disappointed. The grilled chicken sandwich was just 'average' and nothing special about it at all. I wish I could have written that the food was amazing but the service was slow. Those types of problems can be repaired. I just don't know if there is any hope for the food. I'll give it another try, but it will probably be a couple of months.

This restaurant recently opened. I tried it last weekend, and it was incredibly slow. It took more than 30 minutes to get an order of chicken tenders! The restaurant was packed, which I came to realize was because all of those people were waiting for their food as well! I don't understand how a fast food joint that only makes one thing (chicken) can be so slow. The chicken itself is decent, better than KFC. Probably about the same as Arby's. Not as good as Chic-fil-a. They have some sauce that is okay, but for 5 chicken strips, you get one little pack. You can buy extra, but it seems like a waste. Based on the other reviews, it seems I'm not the only one disappointed with this place.

I am sooo glad they opened a Zaxbys In Fishers ! I have been to this location three times twice to dine in and once at the drive thru. Each time the food was hot and fresh and exactly what we ordered . And the prices are great . This a new family favorite and light years ahead of your average fast food joint. I used to be a HUGE Zaxby's fan when I lived down south. I was excited to see one in my part of town. What a let down. I would have thought that they would go above and beyond being a brand new franchise. Me thinks not. We had the chicken fingers, the sweet and spicy chicken wings and cole slaw. The chicken fingers tasted as if they were cooked in burnt oil. They were also dry. KFC chicken strips blow these out of the water. The wings tasted old, and tough, like they'd been sitting for a while. Tyson frozen wings were better than these things! And I REALLY don't like those wings! Then to top it all off, I asked if they had party platters, and was told no. Despite the fact that afterwards, I looked on the online menu and they do. The drive through attendant sounded unsure of every question I asked. I know you are a new establishment, but have some basic knowledge of your product, please. We ordered a small cole slaw. It came in a small sized condiment cup...Really?! For $2.00! They were very expensive and the food was nothing like the Zaxby's I've had numerous times down south. I felt so bad recommending this place to my mom for dinner. I'll be glad when they open the Popeyes on the same street. Never again.

Ehhhhhhhhh. Disappointing. Service was not very good and the place was hectic. Food was nothing to speak of, nothing special...very nondescript. Chicken was blah..just chicken. I expected something a little more jazzy. My mom thought the wings were gross. The toast you get with the chicken isn't good either. Fries were alright. Everything was just pretty mediocre, so we probably won't be back.

Hoping I can change my opinion of this location after they have been open for awhile. We went in to order it to go due to the drive thru line wrapped around the building. When we ordered she forgot to tell us it would be a 40 min wait until we got our order! The sled service drink dispenser was empty which created another delay. They didn't have anyone that knew how to fix it but at least offered to fill drinks behind the counter for customers. On to the food... The chicken salad sandwich was good and filing. Had a good consistency to it. By the time we got home fries wee still hot. The boneless wings were saucy enough and satisfied what he was looking for. The fried mushrooms were not a favorite of either of us. I think that was mostly due to the batter and they were slices of mushrooms, not the caps. I did appreciate they offer other sides like the mushrooms , fried pickles, fried cheese but it all fried. Will try it again once the newness of the location wears off. Hopefully that will decrease the wait time since it is a fast food place.

I understand that Zaxby's is new to Indiana, so in looking at some of the reviews I think maybe there's a little Midwestern confusion going on. While Zaxby's has a pretty diverse menu for a quick service food chain, it's all about the chicken tenders. The only two thing I've ever ordered have been the Zax Snack (3 chicken tenders/fries/Texas toast) or chicken finger plate (more chicken tenders, fries/slaw/Texas toast). This was in line with every other location I've visited - good quick service, great chicken tenders and delicious sauce, and very good fries. It's not quite as consistent in service and quality as Chick-Fil-A, but it's pretty darn close, and I only wish it was a little closer to me.

Ok, ummm.... I am not sure how to change the location. I didn't eat at the one in Fishers; it was located just past 86th & Michigan Rd (INDY). Nothing about my mouth enjoyed those boneless wings I had...maybe it was that strange, gooey in a bad way, teriyaki sauce I had them tossed in....it had a weird & distinct flavor, not like teriyaki me as i remember it... Maybe it was that triple dipped, thick and audacious in its presentation, crust.. it was deceiving. ..these little chicken balls are covered in goo & look decently sized, but when I bit into the top part of one or two,, it was all quadruple dipped, thick crust...no chicken. ..but that wasn't the case with all of them, just some. I just didn't like it....I tried and I do believe that sauce made a difference. Next time I would just try some regular hot wings but ummm - I won't be going back. I think others will like it, but as for me, I'll pass. I did like that the food was very hot and fresh, the fries were decent crinkle fries and they were generous on the celery too... Oh yeah, the Ranch sauce was gross. When I tried to eat them later, I used Hidden Valley....now, when Hidden Valley doesn't help - .....

Maybe it was that triple dipped, thick and audacious in its presentation, crust.. it was deceiving. ..these little chicken balls are covered in goo & look decently sized, but when I bit into the top part of one or two,, it was all quadruple dipped, thick crust...no chicken. ..but that wasn't the case with all of them, just some. I just didn't like it....I tried and I do believe that sauce made a difference. Next time I would just try some regular hot wings but ummm - I won't be going back. I think others will like it, but as for me, I'll pass. I did like that the food was very hot and fresh, the fries were decent crinkle fries and they were generous on the celery too... Oh yeah, the Ranch sauce was gross. When I tried to eat them later, I used Hidden Valley....now, when Hidden Valley doesn't help - .....
