I went here for the first time last night - I'd driven past the strip mall at 116th/Olio many times and sort of never noticed it. The bartender, Dennis, was hilarious and very generous with his wine pours. We had the soft pretzel appetizer---I was thinking it would be a sort of dry soft pretzel with the unnaturally yellow cheese. I was so wrong. The pretzels were huge, soft, buttery, and maybe a little slightly sweet (but not overpoweringly so), and the white queso that came with it was seriously amazing. Several regulars suggested the pizza, which I'll definitely try the next time I go back. This seems like the kind of cozy place where people will know your name and favorite drink after you've been there a couple of times. Definitely worth checking out if you're tired of the Hamilton Towne Center chain restaurant/bars!

Food was great and the service was better. Nice portions and very flavorful. Will be a regular spot for us.

The pizza is really good! We go on the weekends for cocktails and love the bartenders Dennis & Tonya! They are the friendliest bartenders I've ever met and make you laugh until you cry!!!! They pour a nice size drink and never rip you off! It's like Cheers, where everybody knows your name. The only down side is the bar area is small and sometimes it can get really crowded especially on St Patrick's Day.

Went to the southside location after it opened last week. The pretzel appetizer was good and the sandwiches were good. I did not enjoy the coating on the fries. I prefer plain fresh cut fries that you can actually taste some potato.

Awesome local pub with fresh delicious food! Service is always fast and excellent! Family owned place that's kid friendly! Love it! Gotta try the pork tenderloin sandwich on pretzel roll!!!

Was sat immediately by very friendly staff. Looks very clean inside, not a dingy bar atmosphere at all. Great music selection and general ambiance. Had the pepper steak sandwich, my girlfriend had the fish and chips. Both were well beyond expectations! I always consider Ale Emporium as the front-runner in Indy pub food, but this is certainly among the competition. Overall would certainly come back again. I don't know how this place doesn't have more attention.

Meh, I want to like it, but numerous tries and it falls short. Food and drink is a little on the high side and not really that good. Mind you not bad, but nothing I would get excited about. But, family friendly dining room and good size bar area. People are nice but service is hit or miss. The bar regulars get treated pretty good, but sometimes at the expense of other customers.

We have been eating here for a couple of years. They have great service. Consistent food. And a friendly atmosphere. The 6 oz filet is the best in the area. Cooked just right. Flavorful. We travel the country then come straight here for this filet when we get home. And it's not expensive! Other items are good, too ( the tilapia is great), but we rave about the filet.

Wonderful food! Great service! Excellent atmosphere! Friendly owner; he comes to your table to make sure your order is OK and that you're satisfied. We will come back!

Great food however service is just so inconsistent. My wife and I love chips and salsa and several times we've been in we've waited 15 to 20 minutes or more just to get this appetizer. Several times it has taken a great deal of time just for our drinks to arrive at our table or even service to come and inquire about drinks and appetizers. Sometimes service has been much better. You just never know so if you are going here don't go if you are in a rush or a hurry because you just never know how long it will take. Love the philly cheese/steak sandwich! Best one around!

I went to watch the NCAA Sweet 16 here. It's located next to the Kroger in Fishers off 116th and Olio. It's not a bad place, but they didn't have anything I wanted on tap. They have a craft beer list but after asking for three different beers on the list, I ended up just sharing a bucket of Coronas (yuck). They were serving chips and salsa with every bucket. I don't eat chips and I'm sure the salsa wasn't fresh so I didn't have any food. This review is just on basic overall "feel". For the tournament it wasn't crowded and there were plenty of high top tables to sit at. They had enough TVs to keep everyone happy and service was quick and plentiful (always around). I don't know about the food but it was A-OK for sure. I wasn't blown away or anything and the lack of tapped beer during the tournament was a bit annoying but it is what it is, y'know?

Friendly Staff is best thing about this place.. Ordered a BBQ Bacon Cheese Burger Med.. it looked very good when they set it down.. even though you could tell the beef was a frozen patty.. first few bites were alright then the raw center really was gross.. then they had the worse fries ever.. they had what tasted like a funnel cake batter on them.. not good at all.. seasoned fries from a rallys or arbys are much better..not a seasoned fry fan ... but these had no season just an odd dessert like batter.. will not be back and should of read other reviews first.

So tired of chain restaurants and bars!! Very excited about Murphy's Pubhouse!! Family owned, Kid Friendly dining area and cozy "Mug Friendly" bar area. I have been several times and the Atmousphere, food and service has been spot on every time. I highly recommend any and all of their pizzas and the Ham-n-Cheese is the best in the area by far. Steak dinners are always good and the daily specials are always creative and tasty! This place is still a pretty well kept secret.... But I suggest you hit it before the secret gets out and you can't get a table!

They must've had someone new in the kitchen. The fish and chips were so greasy they were dripping. I ate half of a piece of fish and sent it back, but I was still charged for half the meal. My husband also had the fish and we both felt sick after eating it. We asked for a tv to be turned to Sunday night football and the server ignored us and sat there and watched Fox News on the tv we asked to be changed. It took over 15 minutes for my husband to get his beer. The pineapple on my son's fruit plate was hard and seemed like it came from the core. Overall we were very disappointed and will not return. It's a shame because the food was really good the first time we went.

My boyfriend and I went there last night for their 2 for $25 steak deal on Monday night. First impressions were good. I like the decor, it seemed like it could accommodate a few larger parties, and their were a lot of tv's so my boyfriend enjoyed the fact he could watch Monday night football. Our waitress was good and attentive but I was disappointed with the food. The salad seemed like it came out of a bag and had a few diced cucumbers and tomatoes on it and that was it. Very mediocre and disappointing. Our steaks came out and I was less than thrilled. I ordered the filet and it was very over cooked while he order the strip which was extremely undercooked for his liking. I will say it had a good flavor and was juicy unlike mine but I would probably never order steak there again. I had a baked potato which you can't really screw up and I will say his fries were really good. We decided we would give it another try sometime but probably not anytime soon.

The service is awful! My husband and I were meeting friends there for dinner with our 19 month old and 6 week old in tow, for dinner at 6:30, our wait was supposed to be 20 minutes, yet an hour later we were still waiting and a table that was promised to us was given away. Add insult to injury when another table opened up to accommodate our party size, we were bypassed for a smaller party who arrived later with an "oops" excuse. Sadly to say, one hour and forty minutes later we left frustrated and hungry and went to eat at Red Robin where we did receive good service and our food was good. Word to the wise: steer clear.

Have been in a few times to sit at the bar. Lots of regulars at the bar. The bartenders are great! It's a lively little spot! Have only tried the burger and the pizza. Both were pretty good. They need to do something about their ventilation system, though. You smell like you've come out of the deep-fryer once you leave. That keeps some of my friends away.

***DO NOT BELIEVE THE 5 STAR REVIEWS*** I guess some people will sell themselves out for a free appetizer. From the establishment's web site - FREE Appetizer with every Awesome YELP Review! Just show your server your POSTED review! (Onion Rings, Cheese Stix, Nachos, Fried Mushrooms, or Chips & Salsa) I have eaten here one time. Food was a solid 3, except for the drinks. The soda machine was having problems and the taste was really bad. Went in to watch part of a Colts game and have lunch, it was practically deserted inside. One, maybe two other tables had people in them. Very dark interior, too dark for my taste. With it being pretty much empty and so dark, it gave off sort of a weird vibe. So, 2 stars for atmosphere. Overall a 1 star since they are begging for positive Yelp reviews and paying people (with food) to write them.

I ate here tonight for the first time. I thought it was easy to find with plenty of parking. It's more or less pub fare obviously. I ordered the breaded tenderloin sandwich with fries and was pleasantly surprised based on some other reviews. It was actually really good. There wasn't too much breading (I hate when the meat is as thick as poster board and mostly breading) and the toppings were crisp (partly because I finally remembered after how many years to stop ordering tomatoes on my sandwiches. Tomatoes are the bane of sandwiches and the root of all sliminess). And the waitress was on top of it: we sat there for over an hour after we finished eating just talking until it started to get crowded, and she kept our iced teas filled the whole time. I didn't try anything on tap tonight since I woke up nursing a hangover this morning, so I sat this one out. Maybe next time, though. And there will definitely be a next time.

We've eaten here 4 times now - all quite good and its quickly becoming my go to place. I'm not sure what the lower ratings are about. But if you read them its about odd things, soda machine trouble or didn't have a certain beer. Pizza good. Wings - really good. Burgers - really good. By far the best kids hamburger around. It's a real pub burger, just smaller. I find that I hope the kids can't eat it all. Every time I eat somewhere else I wish I was at Murph's.

True to it's name, Murphy's is a pub. Nothing pretentious, comfortably cozy, and best of all, in the neighborhood. My wife and I have been there four or so times in the last few months, when we just want to get out for conversation, a few drinks and some food. We always sit at the bar when we're this kind of mood. Both the bartenders and other patrons are pleasant characters and you can chat them up or just be on your own. The liquor and beer selection is somewhat small, but adequate, and the food is standard to above average pub fare. We used to go to Casler's, but it's become too big, noisy, and "Geisty" by comparison. Chain outlets at HTC? No thanks. Chatham used to be our go-to place, and we'll continue to patronize them to be sure, but if we want a good drink, good food and good company close to home, Murphy's is our spot.

4 1/2 stars actually! We went here last night and were all thrilled that the food was delicious! We had five in our party and we ordered sandwhiches, a large pizza, wings and some ice cold beers! Great atmosphere, yummy food and it is smoke free!!! We can't wait to go back to try their steak and salmon as they looked great too!

Called twice for a to-go order. Phone rang at least 9 times. No answer. I went to the establishment. There were 6 people at bar, two booths filled in eating area. Hostess wouldn't take order. Had to go to end of bar to place order. Customer service? Burger was very good and was as ordered. What is service like when just a bit busier?
