Great sandwiches and atmosphere. Beer selection was dynamite too.

I went to Casler's because I was in the mood to try a good buffalo wing chicken wrap. First off I give the review 3 stars because the bar did show the Pittsburgh Steelers game and the waitress was very nice, so kudos for that. However, with the food. I did order the chicken wing wrap MILD sauce with fries. The fries were eh, nothing great even with the cheese and bacon on top. I was starting to enjoy the wrap but halfway through my mouth was on fire! if this is mild sauce, I would hate to see their hot sauce. After that, I did not enjoy the wrap at all because it was too spicy for my tastes. Will I go there again if I ever get back to Indiana? That would be no.

I absolutely love this restaurant, primarily because they have outdoor seating. I highly recommend the fried tenderloin - buffalo style. They always have a variety of beer on tap and service is good as well. It's a place my husband and I frequent in the summer, again, because of the comfortable outdoor seating, great food and cold beer!

First time here... Nice bar, great beer selection. Bartender was awesome; friendly and accommodating. I had the turkey pesto panini and sweat potato fries. Very good with a Rail Splitter IPA. Will be back. Live guitar band tonight too so added fun!

Went with a large group of 8 people. Three people had their food come out then 20 minutes later the rest of the food came out. Most of the food was cold by the time it finally came. One person's salad was served after his main course. One person ordered chicken fingers but only half an order was served. The waitress said the other half would be out shortly but it never came. No refills were given on drinks the whole time we were there. One person's order was completely wrong. When we finally talked to a manager he said he would take care of it. He took $3.00 off of everyone's bill. What a joke. To top it off, there were no functioning toilets in the whole place. The bathroom hallway was overflowed with toilet water. I'm pretty sure that's a health hazard. Everything was so bad it could have been a candid camera bit. Will never go back.

Since moving to Indy 4 months ago, I've been here about 4 times and it keeps getting better every time I go. First off, the food is fantastic. I usually go with the BLTA (the A is for Avocado) and if I'm feeling gluttonous, an elephant ear for dessert. Yeah - they have i-thought-they-only-serve-those-at-county-fairs elephant ears. And they're damn good. When they do have live music, it sounds pretty good for such a small place. They've got a nice big party room (or what I assume could be used for a party room) in the back. Also, in the warmer months, the covered patio looks like a really nice place to eat. Their staff is really prompt, polite and seem to enjoy working there (I was a waitress, so I know how much that job CAN suck if you work at the wrong place).

It was a chilly, rainy Wednesday night and I went looking for Casler's at Olio Road and 116th. I finally found it on the corner of my third choice out of four - golly there's a lot of really big strip malls at that intersection. I missed the dinner crowd. There were about six patrons at the bar and most of the staff was going home. The one's I talked to were very friendly and the bartender was knowledgeable on the beers that they have on tap. I settled on a Sun King Wee Mac Brown Ale and it was very good choice. My choice was in no small part due to our bartender's enthusiasm for the brand and on her recommendation I resolved to visit the Sun King HQ soon. The bar room and combination dining area decor is not remarkable. The place is smoke-free. As is the new normal, you can't miss a TV screen from anywhere in the place. A money-sucking kiddy game room is off to one side. A good singing guitarist played some tunes for us. I requested a fast two-minute version of Desolation Row, but he declined. Another singer is scheduled to work there on Saturday night. A glance through the heavy multi-page menu indicated to me that they must serve at least of one of everything imaginable. I wasn't hungry so I have no other report on it. Having said all this, Casler's is maybe up for some changes within the next couple of weeks as the ownership and management is in transition. I hope they keep the good beers and work up a good rotation. It gets 5.5/10 on this visit, but it might worth another look see sometime next year.

What's in a Name? I don't know where the name came from...other than the Kitchen puts out really good food...the GYRO was one of the best I've had locally (outside of a Greek establishment) and the Bar....made a good drink. What more can you ask for from a Kitchen and Bar. Right !! Everywhere you turn is a big screen. No sore strained neck at the end of an evening. The music is easy to eat and talk too. Tucked away in the corner for the weekends is a live stage..can't wait to go back and take in the entertainment. Other than the company I was with, which can't really be beat. There is a section suitable for family and kid friendly. Overall I would give the neighborhood Kitchen and Bar my business any night of the week. Think maybe I could convince them to put one out west so I didn't have to drive an hour to get here. Of course as I said the company is worth the drive, but I still don't know what's in the name?

We live near Caslers and have enjoyed it in the past. However, we have been quite disappointed our last few visits. First, it is clear much of the food is not made fresh and microwaved. Our daughter's pizza was clearly a frozen pizza that was mearly warmed up. And my son's hotdog was rubbery- again it was nuked. However, our most recent visit took the cake. My husband had the kids one evening and wanted to take them out, so he looked up places kids eat free in the area on Monday nights. Caslers was on the list. Since it was an independent website, he went to the Caslers website and saw a tweet stating "Bring in the whole family tonight it's KIDS EAT FREE from 5-9" so he took them. Long story short, their kids eat free night is Sunday. When he talked with the manager, about this, she said that is an old tweet- we looked at it again and it is 62 weeks old. Really? It's right on top. Maybe you should manage your website a little better. Also, the nasty, shriveled hotdog my son had was $5. A good manager would apologize for the misinformation and go ahead and give a free $5 kids meal to appease a customer. But she shrugged her shoulders and moved on. And to be clear, it's not about the money, our bill was close to $60 by time I got there, ate and had a glass of wine. We don't mind paying for quality food. Unfortunately, the quality is poor at Caslers and lately the customer service is as well.

I think the Tachos alone will keep me coming back. The first time I visitied -- in a group of 4, in fact -- we made the mistake of ordering Tachos PLUS entrees. Well, I think I had 2 bites of my burger before boxing it up. The rotation of craft beer is also very nice. I'm not much for the typical "bar scene", so I try to visit before the live music starts playing. Plenty of TVs to cater to whatever event you like to watch.

Food from a can. These guys seem to be good at combining cheap easy ingredients into mediocre meals. Service not good either. Nachos gross. Wings okay, hummus bad, Philly microwaved.

This is a great place to go see a game. They have lot's of TVs all around. There is a big bar in the middle of the place, lot's of booths and outside seating. Casler's is a bit expensive but not overly so (after all it's in Fishers ;) ). The menu features some unique items like Tachos (tater tot nachos) for an appetizer, Chicken Cheesesteak Sandwich, and an Elephant Ear for desert. There is a wonderful selection of beers on tap including the current Bell's seasonal and some local brews like Three Floyd's and Upland. Decent selection of wines as well. Overall a great place to eat, drink and be merry!

Ate here on the 4th of July before the Geist fireworks. The service was a little spotty, but the food was pretty good. Great beer selection and good drink specials. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but if I was in the neighborhood again I wouldn't hesitate to go there.

Good eats, good prices and good for kids. Wings were some of the best ones I've had in IN. Mild buffalo and ginger teriyaki.

I've been to Casler's several times for lunch with colleagues and recommend it. Everything I've tried on the menu has been good, including several of their chicken wraps, and most recently, the BLTA - a double decker BLT with avocado. I don't have any complaints regarding the service, but then again, I've never been here for dinner. Casler's has patio seating - open air and covered- and the dining room is inviting, with rich wood paneling. Casler's is a good place to go grab a beer and watch a football or basketball game - plenty of TVs, and nice selection of beers- but generally a quiter atmosphere than what you'll find at a sports bar. If you head to Casler's, the one thing you MUST do is order the Tachos. Tater Tots + Nacho Toppings = Heaven on a Plate. Don't dare think of all the calories you're consuming!

We have been Casler's quite a few times and every time I have been there something has been not quite right with my order. I can't figure it out. Thought it was me. Then my therapist said no he had been there and experienced similar issues. When we do go all I will get is the pizza. The pizza isn't half bad. I actually think it's some of the better pizza in the area. The pizza is far superior to those around them. The beer list isn't too bad for the area however, expect them to get you the wrong beer. It's happened a few times for me. If you want to get that old college feeling back of being at a college bar then head to Casler's. If you want to have the wrong beer brought to you and then not have it replaced. Well then head to Casler's. If you want some of the best pizza in the area then head to Casler's.

After an HOUR waiting on our food, the waitress only brought one of two meals, telling my husband she didn't know where his food was, and didn't even know what he ordered to look for it. We will not be back.

New menu has definitely bumped the rating a star, the only thing that gets kind of obnoxious are all of the TV's. Other than that the staff is friendly and the overall atmosphere is pretty nice.

Come early, hard to find a parking spot. Save room for dessert and order an ELEPHANT EAR ! It comes with a dish of carmel saude to dip it in too, mmmmm

  • Cory K.

This is a local bar/restaurant, and I'd say it's usually pretty busy. This is for pretty good reason, too, as the food is pretty good. The atmosphere is as well. I've had the tenderloin, tachos, and draft beer, and it was all very good. Do I think this is the best bar ever? No, but it is really good. It has a local vibe, with a lot of visits from musicians that come and play concerts at klipsch. So, I would recommend this place, and I enjoy coming from time to time.

I was invited by a friend who is local to the area to go to Casler's. I had never heard of the place, but am always willing to try out something new. The menu is classic bar food, lots of fried food including a elephant ear on the menu for dessert. We were there on a Monday evening and the place was pretty deserted. The food was pretty average for bar food. The service was pretty poor considering that there weren't very many patrons compared to wait staff. I am not sure that it is a place that I would ever go again because it wasn't very memorable. It seems from the rolling pictures that they had displayed on the TVs that it may be a good place to go on the weekends for the bar scene and live music. Maybe it was just because we hit it on a weekday night, but I just wasn't very impressed.

Don't bother coming if you have a food allergy. The staff seems confused by the term gluten allergy. I asked "Is it made with flour?" Well. Everything is. Even though I asked and was clear that I am allergic to gluten, they asked me to try the BBQ sauce to see if the gluten was in it. Really?? I'm sitting here now with a stomach ache. Wish I had stayed home.

My "Steak Frites" was SOO disappointing! The only thing they did right was how it was cooked. It was a bland, tough cut of meat that was full of gristle. No amount of salt, pepper, or A1 could make it right. The fries weren't impressive either. Nice draft beer selection.

Good experience today! I have been here several times with lack luster service. But our server Stephanie was very attentive and did well. I'm trying to keep an open mind about this place and give them another try.

Went here on a Saturday night for a double date night! It was our first time. It was quite crowded but we were able to be seated fairly quickly. The food was excellent but the service was a little off. Our server didn't really seem to know what was going on. I asked for A1 and she told me that they only have 1 bottle for the whole restaurant, yet there was a table of A1 sitting behind the bar. She was attentive, just not organized. The food was excellent and very fresh. We tried an elephant ear for dessert. It was a little different than what I was expecting. I was expecting a fluffy fair-like elephant ear but instead it was a flat piece of fried dough with some sugary syrup on the side. I do wish the elephant ear was better but the rest of the meal was good!

I've been here before and know the kitchen closes at 11pm. A friend and I came for drinks and food. We were sat at 10:20 and asked for a menu. We were told the kitchen "may be closed". After our server spoke with the manager who sat behind us we could overhear how the kitchen was complaining about our menu request. We were given a menu and were told the kitchen would close in 5 minutes (10:30). After ordering we noticed someone at the bar ordered and received food at 10:50 with no problems. What's the point of the "late night snack menu" when the kitchen supposedly closes at 10:30? The last call for drinks was at 10:55, however online it says the bar is open until 1am. We left shortly after.

The food is always delicious...never lacking. And I haven't had any issues with service either. Tends to get very busy so have a backup plan if you're going to watch a big game!

Went to meet friends after work. I ordered a beer and sandwich. It was only 3rd quarter of Sunday NFL early games. Waitress asked me to cash out before I had taken a bite of my sandwich because she had to leave. A new waitress took over and served 1 round of beers then asked us to cash out because they had to switch to dinner. Food was average at best.

I have been here a few times but this is the fest time we ate. We accidentally ordered food that was all friend but it all tasted good! I also really like the blonde bartender. (Sorry I don't know her name.) but she is super sweet and very friendly. We will definitely be back for drinks and we will eat again!

Very good food, huge portions. And they'll put any sports game on TV that you request. That's a must for east coast transplants! Get the tachos off the appetizer menu.

It was ok. Some nice additions to the average bar menu. I loved seeing humus in the menu and ordered the humus salad with a cup of chili. The chili was a shocking $3.99 for a CUP. The humus salad had a great picture in the menu and in the picture you can clearly see grilled chicken and pita bread. My salad came out with neither of those. I asked the server and she said the picture is just pita bread (definitely not) but she did find some on back for me, though it was a pretty huge oversight to serve a giant glob of humus with no pita. So our lunch for two ran $32. A tad high for lunch being a burger, cup of soup and veggie salad. Also, service was sssssllllooowwwww.

We have been going here for years and it's interesting to see how the restaurant has morphed over the past 7-8 years. Thankfully a few of the great items on the menu remain. When stacking Casler's up against other bar/restaurant type places they really stand out. They have a nice menu that has a nice variety but not so many choices that they start to water down their quality. Thankfully they have stuck with a core group of items that they really excel at preparing. Personally, I'm a fan of their black and bleu burger and my wife loves their pizzas. We both love their buffalo chicken wraps. The appetizers are great and have a little something for anyone. Their n(t)achos are huge and delicious while the hummus platter is a nice touch for a bar. They have a great beer selection and more than enough TV's to watch any type of game/sports. I can't really talk about the place when they have a band playing since we usually eat there with our kids in the early evening.

  • Angela R.

Very nice bar atmosphere with great food choices. Try the Tavern Salad...BEST RANCH DRESSING I'VE EVER HAD!!! A must try! They have great bands all the time...a fun place to go with group of friends.

Good service. Tried several things here like the mediterranean plate (overly generous on the hummus and artichokes), pizza, and spicy chicken salad. My favorite thing to order is the fish tacos with jasmine rice. Always a nice selection of seasonal drafts on tap. Really like that its a good place for kids. The kids menu has quite a few options and healthier choices as well, even for sides. My husband loves their wings - big and meaty and you get a full dozen unlike buffalo wild wings. Great place to watch a game or meet up for a casual family gathering with the kiddos.

A group of us (11 ladies and 1 man) went to this venue to hear and see My Yellow Rickshaw. Gee, we need more available guys in our group. Anyway, I saw the band on stage on the multiple TVs in the other side of the place, but a few of us went in for a closer look. Then, I realized that one of the guys in the band is someone I have already as a friend in Facebook. What a shocker! I knew this guy was (or is) in a Christian band but I did not know he is with My Yellow Rickshaw (maybe too). I love his singing abilities. This band was entertaining -- some songs I know like Michael Jackson's and Ice Ice Baby. They are great performers with the audience! My friends rave about them and it was my 1st time hearing the band. I will have to go hear them again; I'm a fan now. Now about Casler's -- Hey, they booked My Yellow Rickshaw. So now I'm a fan of Casler's as I hear they have booked them before. It drew in our business. The dance floor seemed small but it was happening. I already ate before the 9 PM - 1 AM performance. I was still hungry so I ordered a cup of chicken gumbo. I was uncertain what it would be like so I just ordered a cup instead of a bowl of soup. It was good after I picked out tomatoes and I think celery. I like that oyster crackers accompany it.

The Pretzel Bites are to die for (trying to be positive) We love them - that is the only reason we go back! I mean seriously, how hard is it to pour a full beer? Anyone that has been to college and attended a keg party can pour a full beer - so why can't the bartenders at Casler's pour a full beer?! If I'm paying $6.00 for a XX beer- don't give me 2-2 1/2 inches of foam on my beer. Really, it's the largest part of the glass - that equals 3-4 oz of beer? Why am I paying for a large beer and getting about the same (if that) as a small glass. Every time we go- (for over a year now) it's the same thing- only one of the guys in the bar can pour a decent beer.(are they training them to do this?) And, really, don't pour more for my husband's glass than mine- or don't expect a good tip. We want to frequent the local joint's but, it almost feels like they are trying to drive us away...just fill the glass. If you go, order the pretzel bites - and your beer in a bottle, if you want a fair pour...

Great food. Very friendly wait and bar staff. A group of about 10 went in for a late lunch just before Christmas and had a great, relaxing time. Very accommodating to kids who popped in and truly made us feel at home. Lots of beer choices and a nice cocktail menu to help a girl make up her mind. Definitely a must-return-to.

Here's what I like: Outdoor seating, live music, nice atmosphere, good beer list Here's what I don't: Some of the menu items are expensive for what you get. Tachos---tater tot nachos... delicious, but to Kyle's point, "combines cheap, easy ingredients". I would recommend getting them there once, to see what the hype is about and then replicating them at home! Sometimes the service has been "eh" and other times it's been good, but overall I wouldn't say it's great across the board. They do serve some good local beers-YUM and thanks for supporting local businesses! Bottom line: I wouldn't turn down an offer to go there, but I don't really seek it out either.

Delicious tater tot nachos (tachos?) but the service was terrible. Order the appetizer tachos, and was never asked about dinner, couldn't, menu was taken from me. Took 10min to get their attention to get my check.

Great beer selection; great hot wings and the cooks will add garlic for me when they toss my wings!!! Pizza is a great thin crust. Live music is great on the weekends. Outdoor patio seating is great as well when the weather is nice. Sandwiches are great. Awesome pretzel appetizers with mustard/horseradish dipping sauce. TVs are everywhere!! IU fight song plays at halftime and the Colts games bring a great crowd too! AWESOME place to watch a game if the local team is playing: it can get pretty hype/loud. Great atmosphere!

This little place was fabulous and hidden down by Geist Reservoir. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience. Serves pizza, huge salad, typical bar food and even Mediterranean food. This visit, I ordered a Hummus Plate which came with Cucumbers, Tomatoes, Hummus, Warm Flat bread and even Greek dipping sauce. On the way out, it was so delicious that I ordered a Chicken Buffalo Pizza to go. I heated it up at home and the thin crust was still crispy, the flavors of chicken, buffalo sauce and blue cheese played music in my mouth, really! On Friday and Saturday, they feature live music and also run drink specials. Totally worth the drive and so so yummy!

We really wanted to like this restaurant but the food was poor at best. I ordered the mac and cheese with grilled chicken. It was dry and didn't come close to the description on the menu. My hubby had the breaded tenderloin sandwich. This man doesnt leave food behind and didnt finish this meal. Service was great, drinks overpriced unless you were drinking beer and food disappointing. If they can fix the kitchen this place would be a winner!

Went to Casler's tonight with low expectations based on poor service in the past. My buddy wanted to go so I went. I'm so glad I did. Caitlyn (sp?) Provided excellent service from beginning to end. She was fantastic! They had great taps (I sipped on Zombie Dust all night!) and our food order was quick and on time. The food was excellent and Caitlyn's service was superb. If Casler's can deliver this kind of service they will win more customers. I will be back.

eh, been here a few times, food and service is hit or miss. one thing is consistent and that is how often I see people being over served here. I love coming for the live music but I don't come as often as I used to because of all the drunk idiots.
