My wife and I were heading home from Chicago and on our way home we kept seeing signs to "Dairy" dare you to stop here and get gas! Glad we stopped cause I needed gas anyways and we were a little hungry which was in our favor as well because this gas station had a Subway sandwiches attached to it! Subway had very fresh food, probably one of the best subs I've ever had at a Subway restaurant! If you are traveling on 65 and you see signs with cows on them "Dairy-ing" you to stop by you should as they also have a bunch of other things to do at this stop. There is another restaurant, shops and cafe, etc. My wife and I didn't stay for all the other stuff but we might have to make a longer pit stop here next time!

We finally stopped after going by this place for years. Best Fried Chicken, light crispy batter. Bacon wrapped Meatloaf, two thumbs up! Cheese curds were perfect. Love the great adventure on the farm idea. We visited the store and bakery, everything looked exceptional, if I had been stocking up for the week on groceries, this was the place to be. Cheese, dairy, meat, vegetables, fruits, wines, ice cream. Yum. We saved room for a shake and ice cream to go on the road and it was worth saving room for!
First off, the food was very good. I had a specialty burger and my wife had a BLT. We sat in the bar area due to it being busy, which was fine. We also had the cheese plate which was a bit pricey but very good. My wife can't speak highly enough about the BLT and the bacon that was on it. She gave me a bite and it was unlike any bacon I had ever had before. Fantastic. My burger had arugula and some Chipotle mayo which made it a bit spicy. Each bite was juicy and had me wanting more. The unfortunate side of our visit is that our waitress clearly had no idea what she was doing. Service was pretty poor from her. The WORST part of our visit is that the waiting area to be seated is near the restrooms. The entire area smelly very strongly of human waste. Absolutely disgusting. One of the worst smelling bathrooms I have ever encountered and the smell was inescapable in the waiting area. Not something I want to be greeted with. Oddly though, the bathrooms appeared very clean. We would return with the hope that these instances are not common.
What a lovely surprise of a restaurant just off the highway! First, the staff was very friendly & knowledgable about their food. Our waitress was just back from maternity leave and was so helpful, friendly & professional. She made the meal so relaxing & pleasant. She was also very invested in the philosophy of the restaurant: good food, well prepared. Staff who believe in what they do are the best marketing tools & provide the best service. She was great!! Next the sustainable, local food that was artfully prepared. I had the best caprese salad I've ever had. The fresh mozzarella was the rock star here but the thinly slices tomatoes with freshly ground salt & pepper rounded out the dish. My husband's chili was well spiced & thick with a deft hand at flavor profile. The sweet cornbread with hints of jalapeno rounded out his meal. Also had a trio of sliders. The small burgers were slightly & amazingly pink inside, perfect with the bacon & cheese. To top off the meal, they gave us a piece of cheesecake for our 18th anniversary celebration. Great food, great service! This is a must do for families & foodies alike!
