My wife and I just tried the new Teppanyaki Grill & Supreme Buffet for a Saturday lunch. Teppanyaki is located in the same complex as the Burlington Coat Factory off of Green River Road and the Lloyd Expressway. Inside is the largest Chinese buffet in Evansville, both in selection and seating capacity. This place is absolutely huge! They get an A+ for fountain size, and general appearance of the buffet area. Unlike some other buffets in Evansville like the Crazy Buffet, there is plenty of space in the serving lines, so you aren't tripping over other patrons just to get a bite. There are about ten stations of food on the floor and a large sushi and Mongolian station toward the back. They have almost everything, and during my visit I didn't see any empty selections. I started off with a trip to the Mongolian grill station. The selection of ingredients was impressive, but the shrimp were frozen solid and the bean sprouts didn't seem all that fresh. The slices of seasoned chicken and the thinly sliced beef were both great. The other buffets in town have a list of available sauces, but I didn't see anything to choose from and the chef didn't ask me when taking my plate. He added some kind of sauce that tasted like a very mild teriyaki. The chef cooked the food before my eyes with a lot of attention to detail, something I'm not used to at the other buffets in town that offer a Mongolian grill. The dish tasted alright, but next time I'll ask for extra sauce and I'll throw in a second egg, as it was a little bit plain. For my second plate I sampled several different chicken dishes. The Hibachi chicken and the black peppered chicken were very good. I wasn't a huge fan of their General Tso's chicken. The General Tso's was crispy and fresh, but I just didn't care for the sauce. My wife tried a few different dishes and liked most everything. She especially liked the sushi bar, which she wished she had saved more room to try even more! Instead of the traditional soft-serve ice cream machine, Teppanyaki has a freezer of prepackaged ice cream. My wife and I tried the chocolate ice cream. It was rich, but still very good. The service was acceptable, but not great. Typical for a buffet in Evansville. We'll be back again someday, but I'm not a huge fan of the buffet style dining experience, so our visits might be few and far between.

Not that bad.... but not that good either. I guess I'm just pampered from the buffets in the Detroit area. Food was not that fresh, but I'll give them a break since it was late in the night. The grill was nothing to write home about, not much to choose from and no sauces to top it off.

My favorite buffet in town. It is very cheap for the quality and value of the food you get. Always enjoy eating here.

A place that has everything. You will find something you like. And you wont ho away hungry. The food i had was good but not great. The mongolian bar items were frozen and some of it looked a bit old. But it was good. Had some sushi which feel apart when i tried yo eat it and it was a bit bland. For a buffet it was average.

Decent priced lunch buffet. Friendly waitress not hostess!! Not very clean and 2 whole buffet tables didn't have any food. Spring rolls and egg rolls are gross. Lots of American food. Several items such as mashed potatoes, rolls, spinach, pizza, a whole buffet table is dedicated to it.

NOTE: Should be a 5! BUT I'm not a buffet lover. Now on with review: I was NOT excited about going to this place given its reviews but it was grandpa's choice for Father's Day, so off we went. Also NOT excited because it's a buffet and I am not fond of them because of the food sitting around for hours on end and the sticky nasty hands that come into contact with the food prior to eating it; HOWEVER...this place is pretty impressive for a buffet AND the food was seemingly fresh, being switched out often for fresh food. The place is just huge with a Mongolian grill area, freshly cut meats, Italian, Chinese, American, Japanese, sushi, crab legs (all you can eat on Father's Day), salad, dessert....the list goes on. The food I chose was well cooked with good flavor. Mind you I don't gorge like many at buffets do. That's the other reason I'm not fond of them, I never get my money worth but my 12 year old helped me out with that. I was also very impressed with the staff. Our little cutie waitress was working her butt off clearing tables and filling drinks and at one point the manager even came and made an announcement to our area letting us know a downpour had just started in case any of our windows were open. I thought that was very kind of her! I'll give it a 4 star for customer service alone. For anyone that loves a Las Vegas style buffet with pretty much everything for anyone, this place is your best bet.

Food not as good as usual tonight. Soups were cold. No Spring Rolls. Roast Beef (Sirloin?) looked terrible. Sushi trays were almost empty. What's with the two white Ford vans parked out front every night? Do they bus their staff in from out of town?
