Went on a Wednesday night. Saw a tiny old woman karaoke a Led Zeppelin song. This is the best bar.

Young twenty something here, traveling for work. Went on a Wednesday night at 9pm. Karaoke was in full swing. People were nice, good service, mixed crowd when it comes to age. Many specials and I left at 1030 once karaoke ended since I have to be up early. I am interested to see what it looks like late night and on a Thursday. Karaoke is entertaining yet a touch of competitive, seems to be some young regulars or locals who are damn good and worth watching. Many bars closed on main street. This place is a must if visiting DT Evansville and that's from one short nights worth of experience. We will see what a thirsty Thursday is like. Thursday: 1130pm this place is dead...such a great place on Wednesday. Could be better but a good time and atmosphere. Thursdays is like I am Legend during the day as you walk DT

Always swing into this spot for a cold beer and a bite to eat when I'm in Evansville. I was in town for the DII basketball championship for the past two years and I have looked forward to backstage b and g both times. This place nails bar food and service to a T! I am sad that the DII festival will not be in Evansville next year because this little bar is something I always look forward to as an out-of-towner.

I won a gift card for Backstage which is very close to my office. My daughter and I went for lunch today. We ordered the daily special. Pulled pork, fries, slaw and a drink for $7.99. The food was great and a huge amount. I can't wait to try the fish tacos on my next visit!

Food and prices are awesome! Tilapia and fish Tacos are excellent!! Jenny, one of the waitresses gives excellent service! Highly recommend for lunch or dinner!

Great atmosphere. Plenty of TVs to catch the game. Awesome place to go before an event at the Ford Center. Menu is diverse and food is very reasonably priced. I had the hot buffalo chicken sandwich, my wife had the flatbread bbq and it was excellent. We'll definitely both get that when we return. Great service. Worth the trip to check it out.

I like this Bar. Much better then the one that was next to it. Usually the crowd is light and fun and they have good music there. The contests. Well, you can enter them if you want and take your medicine. I have fun whether I win or not. I sometimes feel a little mistreated by one bartender but it's Ok. I understand her. The rest of them are really fun to be around. Foods good too. That BK guy is a pretty good DJ. We just know when we can join forces and put on a good show. He is comfortable to be around. The judges. Well I don't know. I have never been one to judge, I just provide good service and let the customers decide if I should come back or not. Some said they wanted to see me again. Some said they didn't. It's a toss up!!!

This place is awesome for a few reasons. 1. During in the day it is a solid restaurant 2. At night it's a poppin bar 3. They have All Access Fries (choose your seasoning and choose 3 sauces - all of which are AWESOME) 4. Their buffalo chicken sandwich is delish 5. Their GM is super friendly One of my favorite lunch spots and the first place to introduce me to fry sauce. My other two favorite sauces are queso and creole mojo. Bottom line Evansville needs more places like this. I hope Backstage will keep bringing traffic downtown!

I have to preview this post by saying a couple of things: 1. I wasn't there for that long 2. I visited shortly after one of the greatest moments of my life - meeting the Impractical Jokers in person after their show at the Victory Theatre 3. I lived in Evansville for a few years and was surprised that the bar scene had changed... OK, now that we have that out of the way, lets move on. So we wondered in here after an event at the Victory. Great location to walk not even a block. It was a Saturday and there was a DJ that played a variety that had me singing and dancing along. Crowd seemed to range from college - 30s, most people dressed to "go out." Drinks were fairly cheap and were delicious. Unfortunately, it was very crowded by the bar, but there was ample sitting spaces at the tables. Dance floor was also pretty packed and plenty of people outside. Even though it was crowded, it took maybe all of 15 minutes to get a group of 5 drinks. Our group only stayed about an hour and we travelled down Main to try a few other spots. I'd try this place again. It reeked of "new-ness" to me and hope it sustains in Evansville!

The bar has a nice atmosphere and everything looked very clean. The service was the best part about our trip. It was prompt and our server was nice and friendly. However, the food was not good. My Reuben was cold and the bread stale. My friend's tacos also were cold and full of liquid which made the tortilla soggy. We were on a short lunch with no time to wait for a redo so we ate it anyway. Our server did ask about our food and we did mention the problems. She apologized and gave us a discount on our bill which was super great considering we did actually eat the food. I would definitely go back to have some drinks and if I got hungry I would probably go for food, but I won't be going back solely to eat any time soon.

Very nice bar. Great set up and Great staff: friendly and ATTRACTIVE. Draft beer selection is very limited. Food menu is lacking and pricey. Could become a great downtown locale. Need to get a better food menu and more draft beers and could become a goto place in downtown Evansville. As of right now the Price is NOT Right.
