This was my first visit to Montana Mike's. When we arrived we were greeted by a girl that seemed to be less than thrilled to be working. We were seated promptly and our server came over and took our drink order. We shifted through the menu and selected our entrées as well as an appetizer. For the appetizer we chose the onion rings. To me, when they came out (which was pretty quick) they reminded me of onion straws more than onion rings. For my entrée I ordered the 14oz center cut, which came with a salad. The other member of my party ordered the 22oz center cut sirloin. When selecting the one side item that came with it we asked the server if the mashed potatoes were any good. Her response was "they're alright". Even though we had that as our response we chose them anyway. When the food came out we learned that the mashed potatoes were actually instant potatoes. You could tell by the way they tasted. The steaks on the other were pretty good. They were cooked correctly and had a decent amount of flavor. The décor is that of a hunting cabin in the middle of the woods. There are stuffed animals all over the place, and they have a funky yellow on the walls. They bar is pretty cool looking with the appearance of built ins made out of tree branches. Overall the place was ok. I'll go back again since the prices are good for the amount of food you get.

Atmosphere is pleasant and the staff is wonderful. The food on the other hand is terrible. Well I take that back the cheese fries were ok but the salad was limp, mashed potatoes were fake and the steak was flavorless and over cooked. No attention to detail on how the food is presented steak and cafeteria scoop of mashed potato flopped on a huge plate.

This place can get packed! The burgers are delicious and I haven't tried an appetizer I didn't love. Only downside is the service can be a little slow and sometimes things get overlooked in the chaos.

The summit burger was amazing, best burger I've had in awhile from a restaurant, the food was great our server seemed to me focused on a table a young lady and a guy was sitting at she kept checking on them and would even sit down for short periods of time with them. Didn't ask if we needed refills or anything.

Excellent service. The fried mushrooms and zucchini were great. We went with the family and enjoyed the time we spent with each other. As far as the ribeye, I've had much better. I would go back for a beer and the mushrooms/zucchini only.

Very good small chain steakhouse; imho the best choice of restaurants near the outlet mall. I like the fried chicken salad but colleagues enjoyed steaks too. The bar part is all smoking so I don't hang around to drink. Everyone is friendly and the service is pretty good.

The portion sizes are huge so it makes up for the pricier menu. We got the onion rings as an appetizer and ended up taking 3/4 of them home. Food was average, nothing out of this world. Service was really fast and courteous!

We stopped at the Edinburgh location for dinner. I had been to this location before but not for a long time. My cousin had never dined here before. This was a Friday night and on the late side so we were happy to be seated right away. The booth was near the kitchen entrance and the hostess asked us if this was okay before seating us. A good move as I know some don't like being near the kitchen doors. There was a promo menu 2 entrees, a shared appetizer for $25. This is what we went with. We each ordered flavored lemonade. My cousin had a salad with her meal while I went with two vegetables. We ate our appetizer first, fried mushrooms (great flavor) and rolls. The server asked if we wanted refills and we said yes to more lemonade. We chatted and didn't notice the time. My cousin's salad never came. Next we get our steaks and potatoes. I said to the lady delivering the steaks that my cousin didn't get her salad. And at this point no refills had come either. The manager comes out to the table and confirms that we did not get our refills and that the salad did not arrive before the entree. He said he would adjust the bill. The server came with a regular lemonade instead and apologized for the delay. She had taken it upon herself to speak to the manager about our service and the bar not getting our refills made in a timely banner. We had not complained at all. When the bill was delivered $12 was taken off for our troubles, more than I expected to receive. The food was good and I appreciated the proactive role the server played in taking care of our experience. I will go back to this location due to this level of service.

Horrible food all around. Everyone had a over done or under done steak that looked like it sat under a heat lamp all day. The only two things we all could agree on was the salad was good and the beer was cold. The hostess seating numbering system was the most random any of any we have ever seen. Over all this restaurants food was well off it's game!

I ordered the steak, I got a steak. That is all. No really, you get what you order, make sure you get a big steak or at least order some sides to go with, the steak was good, I don't order medium when I eat out so I expected my medium well, to be dry, and it was slightly, but tasty all the same, good honest sirloin steak! Now the funny part, this steak house is near Camp Atterbury, so if you look up and think you're sat in a mess hall, don't worry, you're not! But do expect the sound track to Full Metal Jacket to be on repeat like it was when I was in. You'll also get your fair share of bikers and so on. I wouldn't call it a 'family place' though!

We started the evening with rolls and cinnamon butter. Next we ordered 2 for $16 and a child's meal. We shared a large portion of bacon cheese fries; the cheese was a tasty cheddar jack blend not some gross liquid nacho crap. I had the country fried steak & double mashed potatoes, & my wife had the 7 oz sirloin. The child's meal was chicken tenders (2) with fries. I had to try one since my toddler was throwing a fit and refusing to eat (again). At prices like this, I'm guessing they can only be making money with volume. They've definitely earned my business and I'm looking forward to convincing the family to make another trip here for some great food and excellent service.

We were looking for a steakhouse driving through on the interstate, and had never eaten at a Montana Mikes. We ordered the 2 for $25 deal. The initial service was prompt - the rolls, appetizer and salad arriving within minutes of the other. The steaks were not cooked to order (mine over cooked, my husband's undercooked- and sent back). Overall it was O.K. Nothing remarkable.

Service was great, we were seated fast and given our drinks promptly. That being said, the steaks my husband and I ordered had no flavor, he never uses steak sauce m but he did on this steak. My son ordered the pasta but without tomato due to an allergy, it came out with tomato. We sent it back, when it came back out he began to eat it and we noticed that the tomatoes had just been scrapped off the pasta, there were still some under the melted cheese. My husband and I were livid!

POOR QUALITY! I ALWAYS have a Filet when I go to a steakhouse and my steak was full of a TON of gristle and it was NOT from the bacon-wrap. So I sent it back and the waitress thought it looked pretty bad & The 2nd steak that came out was the same way but it was just separated better where the gristle, my husbands filet was poor as well. The quality was poor that pretty sure a chopped steak would have been better than our filets. The kids' steak bites were honestly better. The Manager came by in passing to ask how my 2nd steak was and I replied "it's slightly better" and nothing no response not even the standard free dessert or money off. I had this same experience 3yrs ago with the quality of the steak at a Montana Mikes in Greenfield, IN Needless to say, Montana Miles has been Blackballed for Life! We've given them 5 try's. Disappointing.

Service was great and the food was pretty darn good. Got a rib/steak combo for 18$ which was a pretty good deal for a lot of food. Ribs say award winning and while they aren't the best I've had they hit the spot pretty well.

The best thing I can say about this place is the steak was cook as I asked. Not that flavorful, not very friendly and not worth going back. Disappointing considering all the hype from the hotel staff.

It was very similar to Logan's Roadhouse. Good food, but a little pricey for what it was.

Stuck in Edinburgh for a week for work, we were drawn in Monday by the "2 dinners for $16" sign. The deal is you split a half portion of your choice of 5 apps, and you choose 2 entrees from a list of 8-9. Each meal comes with rolls and sides (except the pasta and big salad). For app we ordered cheese fries: fresh tasty fries under shredded cheese and bacon with ranch for dipping. The flavor was awesome but the cheese wouldn't stick to the fries. We each had the 7 oz sirloin for dinner. I ordered mine medium and it came out med-well; he said med-rare and his came out medium. Very flavorful steaks, not gristly. We didn't send the steaks back because we were hungry. My sides were cottage cheese (normal) & green beans (lots of bacon & onions). He got steamed veggies (carrots, cauli, broc, zucc) and salad (fresh, not just iceberg). Both of us were very pleased with our sides. The giant soft rolls with cinnamon butter were heavenly. Our server was pleasant and gave very good, quick service. Thankfully, this steak chain plays old southern type rock NOT terrible pop country from the 90s. Decor is lots of dead animals on the walls and cabin/hunting lodge looking. Even on a Monday, there were quite a few tables. Plenty of locals too, not just Army guys and shoppers. While I wouldn't choose to eat here if I were "home," it wasn't bad at all considering the limited choices available in the area.

The group I'm working with picked this place for lunch today. My first time here. Had the Ribeye sandwich with fries and the group ordered some onion rings and fried zucchini and mushrooms. The apps were very good! SCREAMING hot mushrooms and zucchini!! The sandwich was done to order and perfectly decorated (no tomato). Service was top notch. Parking was easy. Why no 5 stars? I'd like to try their steak dinner before awarding that. Good thing I'm here until Friday. I'll be back.

I really liked this place, but the other customers made it great so leaving the marking as A-OK. Had the peppercorn steak which came out great, as well as a house salad and veggies which were ok. Best part was the other customers and staff, such an eclectic mix for a mid-west "chain" restaurant. Makes me want to try other Montana Mikes' to see if this was an Edinburgh anomaly or the norm. CAUTION: Smoking is allowed so don't be surprised like I was. I'm not a smoker and don't like being around it, BUT seemed to add to the ambiance vice detract.

By far the worst steak (filet) I have ever choked down. Didn't want to use steak sauce but I had to. The baked potato was luke warm at best and the salad left much to be desired. Any fast food would have tasted better.

Food is good, fresh and on time. Service is sad, very sad. I've had better service at the McDonalds drive thru. Rule #1 of service......Smile at least. Had some 21yr old waitress get all pissy about how hung over she was. Rule#2 Keep your personal life away from work.

We enjoyed our steaks, fresh warm bread, appetizers and service. Great place for a small choice of selections in the area. We were exhausted from the drive from Hobart, Indiana. So, thank you Montana Mike's : ) we loaded up on carbs :)

The only reason I'm giving the two stars is for my waitress Ashley H. She provided excellent customer service. The food on the other hand was horrible. I ordered a 6oz filet and man was it tough and overlooked. Felt like I was cutting a cheap sirloin. I ordered the steak medium and it was very very well done. In fact it was so over cooked there was no juice. Rice Pilaf was the only thing edible. Ashley offered to have the kitchen fix it, but I didn't have another 20 minutes to wait for a do over. Based on other reviews I don't think their inability to cook the steak correctly was a one time event. Won't be coming back here.

This review is a little late...I went here with my family during a break in the action on Black Friday. We had 2 kids, 2 teens, 2 twenty somethings, 2 forty somethings, and the matriarch. That's 9 hungry folks who had been shopping since 7 am descending on the place. Luckily the waitress was nice, she handled order changes, picky eaters, and split checks beautifully. And the food - ok...it's a chain steakhouse. This isn't "fancy", but it is good. The Iceberg wedge salad was awesome. Appetizers are huge, and if you can order from the lunch menu, you'll get the perfect portion size. If for some reason you're in Edinburgh, IN and shopping...stop here to refuel.

Food was good. Bartender busy not paying attention to people at the bar. SMOKEY Did I mention this is a smoking allowed place. I actually think people should be allowed to smoke when and where they want. And the business should be allowed to setup their own rules for smoking. BUT DAMN!!! I guess people have forgotten how to be courteous to people around them.

Not great. Loud interior, industrial food presentation. A bit pricey versus quality. Not terrible, but not really worth it.
