It was a great place to eat lunch! The burgers and fries were great! I didn't care for the peach margarita. My only complaint was that we were seated outside on the patio and right behind our table were stale ash trays...not a pleasant smell.

I've been giving Barefoot Burger the benefit of the doubt because it is new. I have gone a few times and the service and food are inconsistent, especially if you are in a larger group. The experience is best when it is just a couple. Last night I was especially frustrated with our dining experience when taking friends from out of town. They were out of two kinds of beers we ordered, the fish and chip (one of the specials), and turkey burgers. I ordered the black bean burger, and it was pretty good for a frozen patty....My friends couldn't believe that they were at a burger place that didn't ask how they wanted their burger cooked. I just think if "burger" is in the name, one shouldn't be sold out, another come frozen, and the other thin and over-cooked. I REALLY wanted Barefoot Burger to become a Crawfordsville staple, but it's not going to happen unless they kick up their food and service.

Burgers are good but could use a little more ummph. The Fiesta burger needs more jalapeño and the black and blue could use some blue cheese dressing mixed with the crumbles. The fries are good, home cut and taste better than commercial. The wait staff is friendly and made sure that we had everything needed.

Okay, not to be too harsh, this place is over rated...I got some nice flavors when it came to the Crab queso dip, yet it was cool in temperature and the chips were cold...I expected warm chips and hot dip. Beverages , high quality yet served in non logo foam cups, too cheap foe me. Then we ordered the Fish and chips, the Greek Burger, both menu items, the burger was cooked but was missing it's temperature, and with a questionable Greek sauce , I was worried about bacteria. The fish and chips looked like a over fried pile of brown stuff, the fries were good, surprise, the fish was hot on the out side and just warm on the inside. Scared again. The service was friendly, knowledgeable, atmosphere fair and the music good. Basically average to poor bar food, couple of drinks what the hell. For the food quality and overall atmosphere the prices were way too high.

There aren't a whole lot of choices for dining in Crawfordsville. I appreciate choosing a locally owned business when I can. There are a couple of reasons I give this place a 5 star review. TONS of drink options. Friendly service. GREAT FOOD (much better than the norm in C-VILLE), not to mention, very imaginative and exotic. You won't find Macadamia nut butter on the menu ANYWHERE else in Crawfordsville. The atmosphere is lively, especially the outdoor dining. This would be a first choice for me!

This place keeps getting better and better! We first ate at this place right when it opened and didn't have a great experience... poor customer service was the main issue. We gave it some time before we tried it again and some great improvements had been realized! The customer service was good! The food was great!! Now we love this place... great service and great food... Personal favorite is the Miami Burger... absolutely amazing... you'll only be sorry if you don't order it!!

This place was great! 3 miles off of I74 west of Indianapolis. We came in for late lunch with our two kids. The kids hotdogs were high quality and more importantly came out ASAP along with tons of their hand cut fries. Our burgers (one picked off their neat build your own board) and one monthly special (philly-ish cheesesteak with www chili shrimp )were delish and perfectly portioned. The fries are all you can eat, but I got the super salad instead and it was delightful. All in all a great burger joint! Our waitress Chastity was super helpful and accommodating with the kids and explaining the menu. Price: 2 hot dog plates for kids plus 2 chocolate milks, 2 special burgers plus 3 cocktails: $48 plus 20%

West Coast Burger... Avocado and fresh cucumber slices... Awesome!! They also have a great drink menu. The bar area is a little small but has a nice laid back vibe. I enjoyed everything about this place and will definitely be back

Stopped here on a Tuesday evening while passing through Indiana on the way back from a road trip. This place has a great informal quality about it with fun decor. I ordered the Jamaican burger, which was topped with a wonderful brown sugar jerk bacon. Our waitress was great, and filled us in about the bottomless fries, which we ended up taking advantage of since they appeared to be hand cut and I couldn't pass it up. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a burger but not looking for the same-old chain.

Located at the former Iron Gate restaurant. It is fine for what it is==a non-chain burger joint with sit down, wait at the table, dining. The waitress was friendly. Burger was good. Soup tasted like it had been created on the premises and was not out of a can. Quiet dining room, and also one connected to another room with a full service bar.

In the spirit of giving the new guy a break, I originally gave Barefoot Burger four stars. But when the place around the corner has a burger that's twice as good at half the price, I just can't justify it. Alas.

We stopped in after hiking at Turkey Run. The beef on the burger was excellent. The fries taste hand cut and are bottomless. They had good selection of beer. The wait staff was quick and pleasant. The interior is beachy in theme, the chairs are taped and are at least second hand. The restaurant was very clean, though. We hope to stop in again. Since its so new this restaurant can only get better.

Pros:The hamburgers and the buffalo burgers are juicy, great buns, and smelled great. They even have option for all natural hamburger with the meat coming from grass fed cows. It was a beach theme and overall looked clean. The burgers were cooked just they way I asked. We did not have to wait long for our food. The manager happened to be our server and he knew the menu and could answer any questions we had. Cons: The Asian slaw and broccoli salad was horrendous. I was with a group of 6 and we all tried it and none of us could eat it. They need more than 1 type of fries. The hostess was clueless about the menu, I could tell she was just there to seat us and nothing else.

A place to actually meet friends over 21 for casual dining that is not BW's or Applebee's. Please understand this is a burger joint with a twist. We bypassed the front dining area since our group was over 21. We sat in the back room past the bar. The bar does offer limited seating. The sound system was pleasant too. The decor is "beach" themed...but the feeling of the old building is great. Our server was prompt with drinks and offering the new list of craft beers. I had the Tiki-tini to drink. I am not sure if this was premixed but it was a bit weak. I ordered the Fiesta Burger, single patty. Other's in our group ordered the Black N Blue. Everyone was pleased with the sandwiches and everyone loved the hand-cut fries. Overall...I will be returning.

The beer selection gets five stars, especially in the town of Crawfordsville. I had the Miami burger (think Cuban sandwich.) the bun was buttery and the burger was cooked to order. I don't believe that it was worth the $9+ I paid for it. The fries were decent but not great. The tiki bar theme is way overplayed, but the 100+ year old building was very nostalgic. Go for the beer, have a burger.

Went to the Barefoot Burger on a Saturday night that local entertainment legend, Eric Barr played. Bypassed the front portion to get a good seat for the show. The burgers were very tasty and the Asian Slaw was incredible!! I also highly recommend the Crab Queso. The only complaint was the freshly made chips were a little underdone. A very nice laid back atmosphere in the back/bar area. More formal in the front of the building. We will definitely be going back!

I have to say that for a place that specializes in burgers that my burger was fairly dry and bland and for what I got it was expensive too. The seating is rough, with most chair cushions held together with duct tape and not particularly comfortable. Not a horrible place by any stretch but I would go elsewhere to find better next time.

We are moving to Crawfordsville in August but were in the area on a house hunting trip. We were looking for a nice spot for lunch and boy did this great spot fit the bill. The burgers were tasty, the home-made fries outstanding and the Asian slaw my son ordered was excellent too. Great value and nice atmosphere. We will definitely be back!

Ok, this is the best kept secret in Indiana!! Beer selection out of this world. Awesome burgers, and this is where the soup nazi ended up after his gig on Seinfeld. I don't have enough room to try everything I want, so I'm coming back...many times!!! Come on over and I'll see you here!
