China Inn is the best place to get your Chinese fix in C'ville. I've not had the "hit or miss" experiences that others here have mentioned, so I can't really comment on that. Their General Tso's is excellent, as are the pepper steak and the garlic chicken. Their fried rice beats any of the buffet/take-out places in town, and the crab rangoon is to die for. It really blows any other crab rangoon that I've had out of the water. The sushi is what prompted this review, though. A friend and I decided to give China Inn's sushi a chance recently, and it was tasty. Sushi is available all day Thursday, and on Saturday evenings. They have a legit sushi bar, with the owner preparing food as it's ordered. Prices are fair, and the sushi selection seems more than adequate. I'm not a fan of raw fish, so I opted for the volcano roll and another one I can't remember the name of. My friend was thoroughly pleased with his sushi, as well. Be prepared to wait a bit if you do order sushi; it's a time consuming food to make! Thumbs up all around for China Inn.

Didn't care for their food at all. Way too much salt. The salt covers up what ever flavor there might have been with the food. I chose to eat on location and had one of the worst customer service experiences since moving into crawfordsville. I originally wanted to try it at home and they are the only ones who advertise delivery. But to my dissapointment they do not deliver as advertised. I will never waste my time with this place again. Since there are no chinese delivery places in this town I will give all my business to beijing, only place that can make decent chinese in this town. I had such high hopes for this place from their online menu. I do not suggest wasting your time visiting this place if you are in the area. Better off getting a frozen meal from the grocery store.

Another Wednesday another craving for sushi. Just sushi and appetizers this time. My wife got an egg roll and I got crab Rangoon. Both were good pretty much what we have come to expect. For sushi we got 3 rolls. Snow monkey, rock-n-role and the spider roll. All were great. Service was fast and friendly.

Looking for salt, something burnt and grease to go with it? SO DISAPPOINTED! Had to spit out the dry (did we mention SALTY) beef on a stick... No hoisen sauce for the moo shu either... Wondering if there's a MSG migraine in the future... PBJ will be more fulfilling.. $30 down the tube... Block this phone number! :'(

Wow, I was thinking of what to say before I started and hit or miss is exactly what I was thinking. Sometimes it's good and sometimes it's gross. Sometimes you get a different dish when you order the same thing on a different day. Weird place.

This place is hit or miss for me. Sometimes the food is great and other times just so so. There delivery is super speedy and prices aren't too bad. UPDATE: I went in the other day and they have sushi. It looks amazing. They only have it THURSDAY AND SATURDAY!

I finally got some China Inn delivery the other day and they were really fast. The food was decent Chinese takeout, however the chicken and mushrooms were very spicy. I still prefer Beijing, but sadly they don't deliver.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
