HUGE servings -- my hubby and I usually split one entree and we both end up stuffed. El Nopalito has THE BEST margaritas in town; but watch out... they'll kick your butt! I never order the steak meals. In my experience, beef fajitas, carne asada and the like, are usually made from round steak, which is tough if it's not slow-cooked. Go with the chicken instead. This place is packed most evenings. Here's a dining-out tip for you... you won't go wrong if you eat someplace where the parking lot is full! The locals know what's good!

Decor is not much to talk about, but service is fast, serving size is huge (way too much), and the food is great tasting. Probably the best Mexican food in this area.

Love this place! Huge portions and great margaritas! If you like Mexican this is the place. We have been coming here for about ten years now. Still great.

This is one of my favorite restaurants! I have never been at a restaurant with better Mexican food, and I like Mexican. The place is always busy but the service is very fast. I had the burritos deluxe tonight and it was awesome. I have been coming for years and will continue to do so whenever I am craving Mexican.

Went tonight after reading some reviews. It's always good to try new as everyone's taste is different. Anyway I had a combo plate with tamale, enchilada , beans & rice. The beans were very good as was the tamale , thought I found the cornmeal very thick. The enchilada seemed to be acorn tortilla with cheese ( I did ask for a cheese enchilada) The rice ok. My husband had a combo with a chili reallano . He said the batter was so heavy on the chili he could not taste the chili and there was a lot of cheese in it. Won't be back as there is another local place we've been to on multiple occasions & found that our favorites are better there.

Today, Sexy Beast and I were out running errands. You know, bank, grocery store, pharmacy, all that jazz. We started our day a little late which pushed lunch back to about 3:00pm. We arrived at El Nopalito and were seated at about 2:55pm. It took a few minutes to get drinks ordered and chips to the table so by the time we ordered, we were informed that the lunch menu was no longer available (it's only available until 3:00pm). No problem. We amended our desires to fit the service schedule. Sexy Beast ordered some burrito plate and I ordered the Shrimp Fajitas. I specified that they were to be made without onions. The food arrived and there onions everywhere. I pointed out that my order was wrong and was met with a bit of attitude. The plate was removed. About a minute later, the waiter who took the order appeared at the table to argue with me about what I ordered. I'm perfectly fine with a mistake being made and the situation rectified. I am not okay with the wait staff arguing with me about what I did and did not order. I was fine with the error right up until the waiter decided to argue with me about it. The original plate was returned to the table and I (with the help of Sexy Beast) picked the damn onions out of it. Good food or not, I won't be returning to El Napolito. There is never any excuse for arguing with a customer. Ever. Adios, El Napolito. It's been real.

This mexican resteraunt is one of the better restaraunts we have tried. Their portions are large and food has good flavor. My wife and I normally share a fajita for one.

It is good but I feel like if you've ate at one of these places you've ate at them all. It can get a bit crowded at times, but it still is a nice place to go and put back some drinks

I had to laugh at the word AUTHENTIC thrown around. I assume its from someone who has never had truly authentic mexican food made fresh. Canned beans. Jarred salsas. Iceburg lettuce. There isn't anything here that you couldn't make at home thrown together with a few things from the grocery store. I was hungry, it filled a void, I didn't get sick. That works.

Good food, and fast, friendly service. Hot salsa was a little too hot for me, but I can be a sissy at times, and the mild salsa was a little weak, but the quest dip was fantastic. Freshly cooked chips.

This place is great! But it can sometimes get way too crowded on nights that everyone in town wants a margarita. However, the service is always great! Their salsa is delicious. They have the best fajitas...never to greasy and very generous portions. The pricing is the same as other Mexican restaurants in the area. Their chips are also always fresh and crispy.

Great local business, the service is great. The food is consistently good and margaritas/drinks priced at good value.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
