Our first time there. There were four couples. Just about everyone had something different and the comments sailed arounf the table-"Best food ever". I had a ribeye that melted in my mouth. The service was outstanding.Without question, we will be back. Beats everything in town!

I am in town on business for a couple of weeks and read the reviews in yelp so I decided to check it out. Bartender Natasha was very friendly and knowledgable about the food and drinks. I tried the Italian Chicken Nachos to start on her recommendation. The chips are homemade, the chicken, Alfredo sauce, Mozzarella cheese, black olives and banana peppers made for an incredible appetizer. I've been back 4 times. The hand cut filet was incredible, the Monterey chicken and Salmon were also equally good. Highly recommend and when I come back to town I will be stopping back in.

Ok the first two times we were here with friends I was not impressed with the food at all. The service has always been great. This was our third visit with friends. Food was actually really good. I got a tuna steak, green beans and applesauce. Husband got a filet, baked potato and ceaser salad. Tuna was cooked the way I like. Green beans were good despite haveing onions in them, but they were easy to eat around. Applesauce was well applesauce. The fillet was very tender and very good. Salad and baked potato is hard to mess up so they were good as well. Dessert was apple pie I enjoyed very much and chocolate cake he enjoyed. Owner is very nice and makes table visits and chats with guest. When in Columbus check Amazing Joe's out.

I'm in town visiting from TX and I have to say the food was surprisingly delicious! I ordered the chicken bacon alfredo (hold the chicken) and it was great. The perfect amount of sauce and the Canadian bacon was the other extra kick the pasta needed. My side was the broccoli and the garlic butter drizzled on the garlic was just right. I highly recommend ordering the mango margarita. You could taste the tequila, but it wasn't too strong, and the sugar on the rim was a welcomed touch.

Well...I was here because my parents love it. Selects the Chicken Mac and Cheese. Probably should have gone with a steak or burger. I absolutely love Mac and Cheese, with the popularity of the dish in so many menus if I go to a new spot and they offer a variety of it I'll give it a shot. Today was an abysmal failure of the dish. It arrived with the rest of the meals for the table and was warm but not hot. The cheese sauce used was not homemade and was VERY high in sodium. To add to the failure, the chicken breast was cooked but had absolutely no seasoning at all, so the only taste was the salty cheese. This dish could be 1000 times better with a little love and some simple changes to how it's made. The service was great because our waitress knew my parents...that is the only reason I gave it two stars. If I come back...it will only be because my parents decide to eat here when I am in town to visit again.

After having eaten here probably 100 times since they opened, I think it's long overdue to give credit when deserved. As the name says Joe's is AMAZING... Coldest beer I've ever had (and I've had a lot), consistently great food preparation, and quite possibly the BEST service I've ever experienced (from the table staff, the bartender, management, and even the hostess) My family and I travel a little over 30 minutes, passing several franchise restaurants at least 3 times a month to Columbus for the experience and we've NEVER been disappointed. Recommendations include the Italian nachos, Pork Chops, Killer Ribs, and any and every steak option. You won't be disappointed, trust me.

Decided to finally write a review. We have been here numerous times. Love the chicken parmesan. Hubby loves the chicken fried chicken. Best fried pickles in town. Love all i have tried. One of my favorite places. Always had great service. Definitely recommend.

Went there for the first time today. The service was good. The restaurant is clean and modern. The bar looks cool. The food selection was diverse and they free bread that you get when you sit down was a nice touch. I'll certainly return.

We only ate here once when we lived in the area, but it was really good! We had good service, and our drinks, apps and entrees were all quite tasty. The manager made a point to come around, and he was very friendly and much more personable than most managers we encountered when living in Indiana (we're from TN and found a lot of folks in the service industry to be rude and not focused on customers).

Amazing Joe's is one of our go-to favorite restaurants in town. My husband loves the steaks, and I have tried many other items on their menu and have yet to be disappointed. They have excellent fried pickles, and their boneless wings are some of the best I've had. The service is always great, and the managers are always willing to go above and beyond if something comes out sub par.

Order the Pittsburg T-bone...best steak I've had in years! Just sit at the bar when Autumn is there!!

One of my family's favorite places for a great steak, love the bread and salad as well! Service is pretty good as well

I have been coming to Columbus every month for the past year to visit my girlfriend's grandma. We decided to switch things up and try Amazing Joe's for the first time. Now I plan on coming back during each visit! I got the T-Bone steak and it was out of this world. A lot of comments said that their food is too salty. I did not notice that at all. Our waiter was as friendly as could be and you could really tell it was a mom and pop establishment. Definitely worth a try...but be warned, you may want to go back again and again!

So, the best of it: the service really, really tries. And for family style, casual dining, they mostly come thru. The restaurant space is...well...odd. It's strangely broken up, yet over-sized and awkward. It feels a little too "bar and grill" for family brunch and yet clientele is entirely too "booster seat" for anything but a family meal. The menu is also puzzling, though there's a *lot* on it....It's a mishmash of food styles: they're going for Southern fare, sometimes Italian, sometimes NYC Italian (yeah, it's different), BBQ, Cajun, classic steakhouse, or casual American. And that's a clue that all is not well...I mean, for such a crazy menu, it's all fairly blah and one-note fried blah. The only nice things that I have to say about any of the five separate meals I've eaten here are that the bread was fine and that the food I was (very pleasantly) served was hot. And that gets two stars. The leftover bread was tastier than any of the well-more-than-a-portion-leftovers anything I ordered left behind. Seasoning, of any kind, on anything, would yield a third star...Portions are large (but should be given average price points), more than most people are going to eat in one meal. That means you should expect to feel like you've overpaid if you don't like leftovers or order anything that won't reheat well, like most of the fried and/or any of the fish options.

Just left there with our food to go. That was not how it was planned. We ordered 2 burgers and an hour later still no food. When we asked it seemed like there might be a problem but there was no explanation. The burgers were to be well done. They were pink. Will not return.

Again our favorite Restruant in Columbus did not disappoint us. Every detail is taken care of properly. Management and waitstaff are ready and willing to make every visit Amazing.

I really hated to give this restaurant only three stars. I think it could really do better, but it just didn't do better this time. I ordered a pork chop with a salad and mashed potatoes and gravy. My wife had grilled tenderloin and steak fries. The reason and I mean the only reason that they get three stars is because the food was just too salty. My pork chop was a little too salty for my taste, but I could still eat it. In fact at first it was good, but the the high salt started to get to me. My wife's grilled tenderloin, on the other hand was so salty it was almost inedible. Have you ever had something so salty that after a while your lips start to burn? Hence the 3 stars. Actually I am hoping that the folks from the restaurant see this and just tone down the salt content...and it will be up to 4 stars plus in no time!! By the way, just wanted to mention that my waitress was fantastic.

It was just ok. They had friendly servers. The food was comparable to Frisch's (or Bob's) Big Boy. If your expectations are not that high, this will be an ok place to eat. If you are from a major city with competitive restaurants, just remember that you are in a small town and this is what they like and expect.

Good was good, had the Ahi Tuna steak, it was very tasty. The service was really good as well. Sat out in the patio on a cool, comfortable evening and the ambience was very nice.

Good Service, but that's about where it stops. I've been here 3 times and twice it was a one star or less and once it was 3 stars. All the food is drenched in salt, butter, grease, and oil. Everything. Ceasar salad was drowning in dressing. All veggies soaking in butter. Pasta was so oily I couldn't finish it, and shrimp was tough. So much sodium I actually felt my blood pressure skyrocket, which is very rare. Not a place you want to eat if you care about eating healthy. My friend had the ribs and they weren't bad. Beer was cold. The chefs are hacks and the recipes are junk. The atmosphere is good.

Seriously amazing. Best steak ever. They get their meat from the same place Ruth's Chris does. Get the rib-eye and you won't be sorry. Grilled chicken is amazing too. If you can put away some food, I dare you to try the Forget Me Not Burger.

Four of us went there yesterday. None of us had steaks. I had a pasta dish with shrimp which was very good. Two of us had their Mac with chicken which they liked. And one of us had the catfish which was enjoyed. Their peanut slaw was unique. The service was above average. I'd go there again.

The service at Joe's was great - I have absolutely no complaints. Their food on the other hand was not. Their main issue is that they over-season EVERYTHING. I got the swordfish. It was swimming in a pool of oil and had way too much salt and peppercorn on it. It tasted like pizza hut grease. It was awful. And for $16 for the entree, I won't be going back to Joes again! Even the steamed broccoli I got as my side dish was covered in salt and butter. This may be an okay place to grab a burger and a beer. Steer clear of the entrees though. You'll get way better food at The Fork or Bistro 310 downtown for almost the same price.

My wife and I visited there and she didn't get what she thought she was getting and the manager gave us a 10.00 credit towards our next visit. Plus no charge for her dinner. We may go back soon. Shoot, we have a credit coming.

NOT amazing. The service was decent but that's the best thing I can say. Food was horrible and over priced. We had swordfish steak and Sante Fe Chicken. The fish was cold and tasteless. The chicken and broccoli were both salty and luke warm. Wanted to try somewhere new but will never return. Sorry Joe

Best damn vegi burger anywhere! !! Great service and every manager we have had to deal with was far above awesome. A bit on the expensive side but for the food and service, it is well worth the price. Plus the waitresses are nice to look at too.

This was the best steak I have ever had. I have had steaks from everywhere around the country and this truly was amazing. Get the fillet and thank me later. Amazing Joe's lives up to the name of being amazing! Any of the other reviews about the food being subpar is astonishing to me because this was unexpectedly great!!!

We checked this place out while in town for work. It ended up being very good food and the service was great! Our waitress was Brooke, and she was super speedy and made sure we had drinks at all times! The kitchen accidentally cooked one of our meals the wrong way and the manager actually came out to apologize and let us know he was making a new one right away. I would definitely go back if I was in Columbus again. Highly recommend the Italian style nachos-They were a-may-zing. I ordered the sirloin and it was cooked the way I ordered it.

We've been to Amazing Joe's twice so far and I give this place 5 stars for the service alone. The first time, we had the best server--I mean the best! His name was Devon & he'd only been a server for 3 weeks. He was absolutely amazing! He just did everything perfectly. We told the manager, Toby, how terrific Devon was and Toby was wonderful to talk to. He told us that AJG wasn't some cold corporate chain, but just had 2 branches and treated their employees with care & respect. We went back a few days later for a drink. Toby spotted us and said he had my coat! I had left it behind and didn't realize it until he said something. So many people in and out and not only remembered us, but remembered the coat was mine. And then treated us to a drink. Wonderful staff!!!

I try to get to this place at least once a week. Of all the pub/restaurants I've been to in Columbus, none beats Amazing Joe's for the coldness of beer. They keep their glasses in a freezer, and the beer they serve literally has frozen bits in it when it arrives! The staff is real friendly, one of the two owners, Nick, makes sure he spends time with all the guests without being intrusive and makes you feel home. As far as food goes, steaks at Amazing Joe's are as good as I've had in any other place in town, if not better. I strongly recommend this place if you want a few ice cold beers and decent steaks in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Not particularly amazing. Waitress was a sweetheart and did a great job, but the food that I had (spinach ravioli) was not particularly good. Sorry Joe.

The food was flavorless. Stay away from menu items rather than steaks here. I got the N'awlins Pasta Bowl. It was suppose to be spicy and Cajun in flavor. It tastes like fettuccine, shrimp, chicken, and green peppers in heavy cream. Salt and pepper didn't even help

  • Gregg S.

I have been told by a number of people in Columbus that Amazing Joe's had the best steak in town. Despite a location that is less than ideal and a rather sterile interior, the steak was in a word, amazing. Best I have had in my 35 years here. Salads were good, but over dressed. Had the baked potato with sour cream, what can you say. The garlic bread served at the beginning of the meal was good, but all the butter was on the outside. Wine list is very limited. Simply put the steak overwhelms the other shortcomings.
