I typically have a standing three star review for all fast food joints. Food - you get what you pay for with average service. The food/prices here are typical LJS but I must commend them for everyone being friendly and welcoming. I must also give credit that the store was immaculaely clean during my visit.

woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo hoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo went here after coming back from michigan. had some fried food which is not good for my waistline. but, i got back to illinois, and realized i forgot my phone. went back to ljs, and they had it yippppeeeeee. thanks chesterton ljs

I have never been to LJS as people call it I've noticed. My experience was great ! The lady at the register was very polite , our order was fairly complex but she got it down, we also went to sit down and she was kind enough to bring it to us ! how nice ! Prices are great as well , I think fish fast food , u can't go wrong ! The batter has a creamy texture to it which I definitely would like the recipe for , the chicken was a bit meh but it's a fish place ! what u expect ! Very Satisfied hoping to return !!!

Normally I don't review chain fast food restaurants because everyone knows they are terrible, but painfully convenient and cheap. I have, however, had nothing but awful experiences with this one. I had to yelp! Whenever I order from LJS, I make multiple substitutions in their meals. I always order slowly and accurately. I go inside to make certain that there are no errors with my order. There are always errors with my order. Yesterday, LJS hit a new low. My fiance and I were in a hurry, and just wanted to grab some sandwiches. We ordered one without lettuce (Turning iceberg lettuce has never really been my thing). We waited forever, and when it was finally ready, it had lettuce on it. No big deal, I asked the clerk to replace it with a sandwich containing no lettuce. Instead of just doing it, or apologizing and doing it, she said, "You never said that." I told her, "Maybe you didn't hear me, but it isn't a big deal, you know now. We just don't want lettuce." Then she walks away and murmurs under her breath, "You need to tell us if that is what you want and you didn't tell us." I asked for a manager, obviously. I explained that it was very rude for her to insist I was lying about something that was really no big deal. He said, "She wasn't talking to you, she was just talking to me." As if it mattered who said what. He then said, "Next time make sure you tell her or we can't do it." Seriously? As if I offended their personal integrity by asking them nicely to correct a very simply mistake!
