So we went here Friday afternoon for lunch. they do this all you can eat for $7.99 Soup, Salad and soft or hard tacos. if you want carne asada or grilled chicken it is $2 more. So the all you can eat is tacos and either the soup or salad. So we opted for the soup. never really heard of a lot of soups at a Mexican Restaurant before so I was skeptical and this was our first visit. But we both opted for soup so I got Potato and my friend got the Tomato Basil. Both were amazing. You could tell they were homemade. They had a few other soups. Tortilla was one of them. Did not try those. My friend stuck with the $7.99 deal and got the soft tacos with the beef. he said they were really good. I upgraded to the Carne Asada. I never expect much with Carne Asada being spoiled by the southern California style of Mexican food which is amazing. but i still ordered and this was the closest to the southern Cali style that I have had. The only thing missing was it needed more seasoning so i added salt and pepper and it was great. I was only able to eat 3 of them. but i left full. We had ordered the queso for an appetizer and that is probably why i could only eat 3 tacos. but i just cannot go to a mexican place and not get queso. its my favorite. Queso and carne asada are the two reasons i eat mexican food. I was shocked that you do not get rice and beans or anything with these tacos but you dont. its either soup or salad and tacos all u can eat. Service was really good and the two ladies here spoke English. I do not like going into a place of business and people cannot communicate with me in English so i appreciated that very much. Everything went great until the end and for that reason I took away one star. We were paying our bill and another lady came to the table and said was it possible that our card would decline and i told her no. but no big deal my bank is in the same parking lot as them. she told me one price and when we got back from the atm she wanted more. so that made me angry. Then miraculously the credit card machine started working and we paid with the credit card. My thoughts is they just wanted us to pay cash. Nice restaurant and we will be back. definitely recommend going for the monday thru friday lunch all you can eat tacos.

First time here and I can easily say this is the best mexican in Brownsburg. A truly nice surprise, with a unique menu. Includes some standard items but the specialties are the best! Try the chicken tortilla soup-it's delicious. Enchiladas were fabulous too. Service was spot on. Can't wait to go back again.

Seems like your typical mexican restaurant with most of the menu. If you don't like the standard mexican choices there are some different items on the menu that seem to have a mexican flare to them. I just think that there are plenty of mexican restaurants around the area that this one is just ok with me, nothing special.

Excellent service and food was amazing! Tempting to fill up on chips and salsa especially if you add queso! Mmm

This place is great! Good service. A few quirks here and there, but, worth it (table I sat at would pretty much fall over if you leaned on it from my side). Good guac. Got the chicken taquitos and was not disappointed. Wife got the salmon tacos and they were great. Kids always love the corn-dogs and fries. I've never gotten anything I dislike (although sometimes I get something and it's just ok).

Love this place! My husband and I have dinner here almost every Friday. The service is great - everyone is super friendly! I highly recommend the carnitas- they are melt-in-your-mouth awesome every time. I just tried the salmon tacos this past weekend and they are to die for! WONDERFUL! They also have great margaritas. We always recommend this restaurant to our friends!

Hubby and I tried Tequila Sunrise for the first time Monday evening. We walked in and we weren't sure whether to seat ourselves or not. There were a couple of employees chatting behind a partial wall near the lobby area but neither seemed interested in greeting us. After a few minutes the lady who was bussing tables stopped and took us to a booth. The atmosphere was great. We were glad to see that the football game was playing on TVs that could be seen from every angle. We immediately ordered guacamole and queso for our tortilla chips and we're thrilled with the taste of both. I was in the mood for steak nachos and ordered the sour cream, jalapeños and guacamole on the side. When they were served everything except the cheese was on the side and no retried beans could be found. Not a big deal, they tasted pretty good even with some assembly required and no beans. Hubby ordered shrimp ceviche and mole tamales. The ceviche was a big disappointment! The sauce on it tasted like ketchup and hot sauce mixed together. The tamales were decent. There was plenty of both of our meals to take home for lunch the next day. The service was so-so and cost this review a full star. Let me start by saying they weren't very busy and seemed to have plenty of staff. As I said we weren't immediately greeted when we arrived. Our server was ok during the meal but after we ate he seemed to think his job was done. I asked for a to-go container for the queso and never got it. He brought us our check and my husband immediately put his credit card in the check holder where it was sticking out of the end and put it at the edge of the table. Our server walked by no less than 6 times without acknowledging or picking up the card so we could pay and go. Finally after sitting there for nearly ten minutes another server came and picked it up and brought it back. Overall, the experience was ok. We may be back but it won't become a permanent part of our rotation of dining locations.

$1 margaritas on the last Sunday of every month - need I say more? The service is always great as well. The food is on par with similar Mexican restaurants. I love that they offer a more unique variety of traditional dishes than what you find at many other Mexican joints. Not bad for the money and you can't beat a $1 margarita!

Really good food. They seemed very busy here and my seat was bogus , but all in all great food. Large portions and dirt cheap... I do recommend

Dang fine, definitely better than your average Mexican restaurant. Salsa is GREAT and has the perfect amount of heat and freshness. My bride loves the shrimp chimichangas and my favorite thing here is probably the adobo burrito with grilled chicken. Tip: Come on Sundays and get a free ice cream sundae! You DO want one, it's actually great. The *only* ice cream that my son will willingly devour. Service is quick + friendly, and the place is very clean. Toddler factor: Yep, they have high chairs and they do keep them very clean. Only once have I gotten one with a broken buckle. Servers have always been super friendly to our boy. Kids menu is HUUUGE with many varied options. Chicken strips are pretty good as is the corn dog. You'll definitely find something for even your pickiest eater.

Our family has been stopping in here, on and off, for ten years or so. For the longest time it was our go to Texa-Mexa-Cali joint in The Burg. Then they lost their liquor license and it was time to move on because what's an enchilada establishment without tequila?.....a food truck! Anyway, we stumbled around hendricks county in search of chorizo and adobo, queso and fresh salsa, anything Del Mar....... and mmmmmmMargaritas! Heard the tequila and lime juice was back, so stopped in on a Friday dinner night. We found a new menu with fresh dishes but we fell back on some old favorites: Enchilades Verde's - corn tortillas rolled with seasoned pulled pork in a green sauce, with lettuce, sour cream and rice; Enchiladas Del Mar - rolled flour tortillas stuffed with shrimp and crabmeat mixed with finely chopped onions, scallions and celery, covered with sour cream sauce, with rice, lettuce, guacamole, and pico de gallo. Both served efficiently and hot not long after the complimentary warm chips and perfectly seasoned salsa (at least to our taste) accompanied our shared Texas Monster Margarita. Not fine dining but dining fine enough. Sunrise will be back in our Texa-Mexa-Cali food rotation.

One of our regular lunch/dinner places. Always good food and service. After we've eaten so many chips with salsa while we wait for our food we always have more food than we need. Recently we've started sharing an entree between the two of us. Works out perfectly!

This was my family's first visit to Tequila Sunrise and we were very impressed. Everything we ordered was delicious and came out piping hot. We ordered fajitas and carnitas. I would have rated it 5 stars but I like my food very spicy and I thought the food could have been a little spicier. The portion sizes were very generous and they gave us each a free ice cream sundae since we visited on a Sunday. The restaurant was very clean and the waiter was extremely friendly and helpful. We cannot wait to come back!

Absolutely love this place. I had become so adjusted to my normal Mexican place in Avon, I never wanted to give it a try at first. However, my first time there was love at first bite. The food is amazing and the margaritas are on point. Every once in a while you get mediocre service but it doesn't ever take away from how good the food is. It's my new favorite Mexican restaurant.

This is a good place for a quick lunch. They have added some nice options (fancy smanchy enchiladas, etc) to their menu which makes them stick out a bit from other Mexican restaurants. The last time we visited their credit card machine was down (didn't know it until the check came). My husband had to go to an ATM to pay the bill (sorry but I'm not comfortable giving my credit card number on a piece if paper!). I'm sure that was a one time thing but I didn't like it. The servers are friendly. Good drink selection too.

Girl's night brought me north to Tequila Sunrise as this is a favorite of a few of the girls. This place was super cramped in the waiting area but I think they were just trying to figure out where to put all the waiting parties as we only waited about 5-10 minutes. This is a weird thing about their layout, their entryway and check out are in the same cramped area and it is quite narrow. We were seated at a mildly odd table in this center section that is supposed to mimic a fountain plaza or something? I dunno, I got to stare at the fountain the whole time though! Service was pretty quick to get drinks and order but he did seem a bit flustered, probably had quite a few tables he was serving. Chips and salsa were fast and abundant and I ate too many. My friend also got some queso and it was good! Much better than my last attempt at killing my constant queso craving! I ordered a quesadilla (Jose Frog) that my friend said her husband gets all the time. It was well done with a good amount of sour cream and quac to use. Yum. I didn't manage to eat it all since I ate like 10 pounds of chips but my husband reheated it later that night and he said it was still good. One of my friends meals came out wrong and they remade it but it took a long time and that was disappointing, I wish they had put more of a rush on it since she sat there awkwardly while we ate. All in all, this place is nice for a local Mexican restaurant and a good value. I will be back...and hopefully with a large margarita at my table!

Really good food! This place was recommended by a local and this place did not disappoint! I devoured my taco salad and my partner enjoyed his enchilada plate. The kids fajita plate was really, really big. So next time they will definitely share a plate. Overall, the staff was excellent and I enjoyed! Oh, on Wednesday is Senior Citizens Day. 50% their meals.

This was our second time at this place. Obviously we loved our first experience and traveling thru again we were excited about eating here again. We had the taco special and what a mistake this was. I tried both the chicken tortilla soup and enchilada soup and both were terrible could not even eat either one. OK so onto the salad and I ordered thousand island and it was gross! Managed to eat two chicken tacos and at this point me and my husband were ready to leave. Our waiter didn't seem to care that our meal wasn't up to standard and when we went to pay it was the same. Needless to say we won't return.

Holy Mole`. This place is awesome. We rode here on our bicycles from Indy today. I had the Fajita Chicken Burrito. not only was it fantastic but the presentation was wonderful. Service was spot on and with a $8 meal on Sunday you get a free hot fudge sundae. We'll be back. Only problem was NO BIKE RACK

Good food, great service. I chose this place after reading the Yelp reviews. You should check the specials of the day, I had the unlimited Taco's special. The Taco's were loaded, the others family members loved their choices and can't wait to return. Thank you Yelpers for your reviews

Love the chicken and vegetables meal. A unique twist on the usual Mexican food. Great salsa and chips! They offer high end tequila for margarita's! We've always had fast and friendly service every time we go, which is often. A bonus, the kids meals come with a free ice cream!

Absolutely incredible Mexican food and fantastic service. Chips and salsa are fantastic every time. The chicken fajitas are incredible. Great lunch menu in terms of selection and price. Their drink specials are great. Just an absolutely great experience. Easily the best Mexican food in Brownsburg.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
