I've always had a good experience at this OG location; both dining in and carry-out. We've been seated quickly, even on their busiest nights of the week. Wait staff is friendly and and I've never had an issue with my meals. Restrooms have been messy at times, but other than that I don't expect much. :)

Tried new spicy Shrimp Scampi Fritta- lightly breaded and fried shrimp tossed with spicy cherry pepper sauce. We really enjoyed. Nice portion size and enough for sharing. Will have this again. Dinner tried New Spicy Shrimp Vesuvio nice combination of flavors. Spicy blend of hot cherry peppers, roasted red peppers, spinach, and arrabbiata sauce. Comes over very light bucatini pasta and topped off with smoked pancetta. Excellent flavors. Server prompt, courteous, and pleasant.

I dropped in for lunch yesterday at Olive Garden with my colleagues. I have heard several negative reviews from my friends about this place and I was really skeptic when I entered. But everything changed as soon as I entered. The place was huge and beautiful. They have a special lunch menu called as "pronto lunch menu" with pretty good deals and combos. They have unlimited soup, salad and single entree combos for reasonable prices. The menu was great. They served us the complimentary traditional seasoned fluffy Italian breadsticks. They were great. I chose the 7.99 DUO which has unlimited salad or soup and a single entree selection. So, I went with soup. I took Chicken Gnocchi soup and Fettuccine Alfredo with Parmesan sauce with grilled chicken add-on to it. Oh boy! the soup was awesome and the Fettuccine, uff, please don't get me started, It was fan-taaaastic. I am craving for that dish right now while writing this review. That dish was absolutely perfect. I am in love with that masterpiece. If I am going back again, which I will definitely do, I am so going to order that dish of perfection. I would love to try out more items on their menu. The service was great. The waitress who served us was really friendly. The ambience was great. Food was great. I cannot definitely review the whole place just because of a single dish but for this time, I will give this place five golden stars!

So this Olive Garden is pretty well put together but if it is raining make sure to bring an umbrella.. Parking lot sucks because it wraps around the building so if you have to park in the back it's a long rainy walk to the door. Now, I sat at the bar and ordered the Tuscan trio. Soup salad and fettuccine Alfredo. They brought out my fettuccine right away which I thought was a little odd because I hadn't even gotten my drink or anything else. After about 10 minutes I got the salad and soup and about five minutes after that I received some bread. Alfredo and salad were good but the soup was so watered down I didn't eat it. It had no flavor. The waitress offered to check and see if there was a new batch made and came back and said that what was back there didn't look any better. I wasn't offered a refund on the soup which annoyed me a little so I just said I would take it to go even though I have no plans to eat it. Besides the watery soup everything else was good and my waitress/bartender was very nice and attentive.

I always enjoy the Olive Garden. Since I was on the other side of town, I stopped in at this location. There were a couple of hiccups during dinner. My sprite came out without any syrup in it but it was promptly taken care of. I also asked for more breadsticks for dinner and they didn't come out very quickly. My waitress noticed this and apologized and then set me up with plenty to take home to go with my "buy one take one home" special as well as some Alfredo sauce to dip them in as I had told her how much I liked them earlier in the night. Thanks to waitress Kennedy G, what could have been a lackluster experience ended very well. I will be returning.

We all know what Olive Garden offers to its client base. So this review is going to be a comparison between this Olive Garden and many others around it. This one specifically has more of an Italian feel to it from the inside. The food is up to par and it is clean. Service is also great, but it really depends on who you end up getting as your server. This is one of the very few locations where I did not have to wait for long before I was seated. Good food, decent service, and price isn't that bad either

It's ONE OF THE. BETTER OLIVE GARDENS, but still "very average" food, manufactured & warmed up. The facility is great, & service was good.

Hey, it's Olive Garden, so keep that in mind. You know what you are getting into immediately. We had to wait about 40 minutes - no shock since it was noon on a Sunday. We got seated and were taken care of quickly with salad and bread. No complaints there, good as usual. I ordered a new dish on the menu, the 'crispy parmesan shrimp' and it was really great! Would totally order that again. Waiter brought out refills really quick and gave us adequate attention. My hubby and I were filled with hot tasty food, all was good!

I worry that the Greenwood location has set the bar too high for me in terms of expectations for Olive Garden after the Yelp event I attended because I was just really disappointed in my recent visit. We decided to stop by for lunch to use one of our gift cards. Almost immediately I noticed that there was cold air just blaring down on me at our table. Our server stopped by since I was staring up at the ceiling trying to figure out where it was coming from and "Oh yea, the table before you was wondering where it was coming from too". Hmm ok...it eventually shut off so I got optimistic and told my server that when she stopped by to take our drink order and she just said "Oh well it comes and goes." Great. Sure enough I quickly put my jacket back on. Server was polite and was patient while we decided on what to do for lunch. We decided on the lunch soup and salad deal since we had never had the soup there, also add on the fact that I was freezing so soup sounded good... While we waited for food my husband looked around noticed at least 5 people in our section were wearing their jacket. C'mon Olive Garden! When you see people hunched over and wearing jackets, do something! And how come our server said nothing to management when the table before us and then us said it was cold? I realize a server can't control this stuff but they can say something. The soup was decent and the salad and breadsticks were good as always. But at this point, I was ready to go home. I know for a fact that managers saw us and walked around our area often during the meal. It wasn't until we were done did anyone stop by doing a "How was everything?" type of touch, I told the first guy food was good but I was freezing. He didn't seem super surprised but did apologize. I do hope they fixed it for the next round of people. We also got a chocolate cake slice to go and it was small and overpriced. Also, as a note, most of the time this place is packed so expect a wait even on a weekday evening. Avon apparently loves the Olive Garden...

Nope, won't be back to this location. Our server (wish I remembered his name) did not have the right attitude for a crowded night. At 6:00 on a weeknight, the place was packed with a one-hour wait. We managed to snag a table in the bar, but I kind of wish we would have waited. Our server was not nice, not fast, and actually rolled his eyes at my friend when she asked if she could have breadsticks without the butter topping. The food was ok, but nothing special. The salad and breadsticks were delicious as always, but not worth fighting the hoards of people and dealing with attitude. Now that they sell the dressing in grocery stores, there is truly no reason for me to ever return.

Dropped in for my sons birthday dinner. He ordered a kids spaghetti and I ordered the adult fettuccine. Both came in the EXACT same size bowl. Why am I paying the $13 for a tiny bowl of fettuccine with no meat when it's the same size as his $5 bowl? He even got a drink and side with his. My two year old son ate all of his so you can imagine how hungry I was when we left. Pretty bad experience.

Worst service I have ever had at a Olive Garden. They under charged me by $60. I do the right thing and tell the waitress. I am there with the whole family including a 2 year old. I wait and wait. After about 20 minutes I see her waiting on other tables so I get her attention and ask for my corrected bill. Then I wait another 5 minutes before I get the bill. No apology from her or a Manger. Wow!

Endless Soup and Salad = Cheap Date lunch! Hubby and I just woke up, hungry, but I needed something healthy. He said Olive Garden's soup and salad lunch special, which I forgot all about. We got there about 2:30PM and we had a wait, but not as long as they stated, which was nice. Large location, rustic, old feel around the place. Clean bathrooms. Service was nice and prompt. We had two different soups, which I forget what we had. I think the first was their take on chicken and dumping; good but not the greatest. The second was chicken and tomato based, which we both enjoyed. Great salad with lots of cheese (keep on shedding) and good bread. We eat and were able to stay full until very late in the evening. Under $20 for two (with a pop). Nothing special, but a great date lunch for the cheap with my hubby. I am sure we will be back!

So we just got home from here. It was pretty busy even for 10pm on a Saturday night but it was Valentine's day. I asked to be seated somewhere warm since it was -10 with wind chill outside. They sat us at a cozy table right by the fireplace. I could have sat there all night. Well right now they have a deal where for $12.99 you get unlimited soup/salad and appetizer an entree and a dessert. So I got my favorite Zoupa Tuscana soup. The best soup in the world. I did get two bowls of it and my only complaint of the night was both times the soup was not warm enough. I got the chicken meatballs with marinara sauce for my appetizer and to my surprise I loved them. For my main course I got the Smoked Mozzarella Chicken and minus the red peppers it was really good. I opted for the Raspberry Cheesecake for my dessert. I would say this cheesecake could give the Cheesecake Factory a run for their money. Good stuff. Service was just ok. The server was really friendly and all. Just spotty service. But we cut her some slack as she had some really sketchy tables who were giving her a hard time. My only complaint about Olive Garden and all other restaurants is they use way too much SODIUM. there is just no need for all that salt.

The best Olive Garden I've been to. I took my daughter and her boyfriend, we were all happy with the food and service.

The typical Olive Garden that has been in Avon for a long while. I recently tried a new item on their menu. It was the "Grilled Lemon-Herb Chicken" composed of Grilled chicken breasts in a lemon-herb broth, served with garlic broccoletti and cauliflower-mashed potatoes. It wasn't bad. Chicken was a bit dry, but I enjoyed the atypical sides it came with. And as always...the salad is enjoyable because of the free refills.

The food here is pretty much on par with other Olive Gardens I've visited. The thing that sets it apart is the building and decor inside. It's very nice! Probably the biggest draw back to this olive garden is how busy it is. It's in an area that gets a lot of shopping traffic. I've stopped in and found the wait to be 60 min.+ a few times. We just go to one of the other places in the area when that happens.

Pretty standard olive garden. Nothing awesome to report, nothing terrible to report. If you know the olive garden brand, this place does a nice job representing it. Make a reservation though, because it is always crazy crowded.

I have been to many Olive Gardens and this one ranks at the top. The staff is nice and attentive. I love the new lunch that they just started! The calzones are amazing!

Here's the thing about Olive Garden. Nobody eats there and says "Yes! That was the best Italian food I've ever eaten!"... Definitely not what it is. However, it is GOOD FOR THE MONEY. I mean, never ending salad and breadsticks with any meal. It's not anywhere near a big-time Italian resaurant, but it's a pretty good deal overall.

So it wasn't my turn to pick or I would have gone somewhere else because its been on the decline for the last 2 years...I would think their numbers would show them that they needed to do something different - but they are not. I feel Olive garden is way over priced for pasta and bread based dinners they serve. Olive Garden used to offer a nice coupon (save $5 on $20) but haven't seen that one sent out in a while. I can say they usually have great servers who are on top of their game here. The food is good....but the they have overly priced up their dishes! OLIVE GARDEN : Whats up with not celebrating a persons birthday anymore? I can understand the no singing part but to hear from a manager that they cant even offer a free piece of cake to the birthday boy....WOW its getting a little stingy here for my tastes after spending way over $60 for a party of 4. I really think we will choose somewhere else next time. Maybe something family owned and operated like Papa Joe's 2 miles down the road -- where you get greeted with a smile, served great authentic food, and would treat a birthday boy to a "free desert " SHAME ON OLIVE GARDEN...I was really shocked! You are focusing on the money and not the customer and thats when you see a decline is business! I sure hope your corporate office reads this because if something doesn't change you'll be the next Smokey Bones in Avon! meaning out of business!

They are always busy so that tells you something! When I do want to brave the crowds I am never disappointed. Great red sangria and even better salad!

Went here about a year ago when I first moved to town. Slow service, average food quality, bang for your buck. Nothing special. Just a normal Olive Garden... Zupa and Salad, dont forget your sticks and pass up the entrees! Go to Papa Joes for real Italian in Avon.

Yes, this is definitely an Olive Garden. If you've been to an Olive Garden, there are no surprises here. If not, then expect to wait a little bit for decent Italian food that looks better in the menu than on the plate, with lots of corporate-encouraged enthusiasm from your wait staff, including subtle arm-twisting to buy wine. The food is fine, very consistent. Everything we've learned to expect from corporate franchising.

I know that I do not need to give any review for this chain restaurant, because I have never wanted to go here anyway. However, we decided to go to this place with my in-laws because we thought it could please everyone (adults and children) and it was one of the few family style restaurants in the West side of town. We have been avoiding dining at Olive Garden for at least 7 years, and now I know we should have gone to another Italian restaurant. Their menu is quite extensive and very similar to other Italian restaurants, such as calamari, pizza, spaghetti, salad, chicken or pork scaloppini etc. Everything sounded good in the menu and the pictures looked very enticing. However, nothing tasted right, and in almost all of their entrees, they have added cheese to their dishes which means extra creamy and FAT. YUCK! Their kids cheese pizza did not taste good either. The only thing that is fresh is their Garden Salad. The service is good. The price is not cheap for the quality of their food. We will cross out Olive Garden from the list...FOREVER.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
