Holy bundt! I thought the bundt was another gimmicky dessert. You know the new mini donut that replaced the whoopie pie that replaced the cake pop that replaced the cupcake?! Bundt I was I wrong!! This is the most marvelous dessert I've had in a long time! It probably helps that I am a huge fan of cream cheese frosting, bundt other than that, this cake is so moist! My favorite flavor is the white chocolate raspberry. I have tried red velvet, white chocolate blueberry, carrot cake and chocolate. I bought two 10" bundts for a birthday party to serve 40 and it was definitely enough.

Better Late than Never! Just wanted to give Nothing Bundt Cakes (Wheaton, IL) a HUGE shout out for being 5 Star amazing!!! They were my wedding cake and desserts for my December 27th, 2013 wedding at the Danada House in Wheaton. I'm not a cake fan and wasn't even going to have a wedding cake. But then I tried the Bundt-Tini....life changing! :) From the delivery to Danada house on my wedding day to my special order 3-tier Bundt cake (they placed my Rudolph and Clarice cake topper on perfectly!), Nothing Bundt Cakes was Nothing but perfection!!! Thank you!

Love, love, love! My only complaint is that it is so far away. Every time I can get an excuse to go down there I get a white chocolate raspberry and red velvet. So good! The people that work there are also super friendly, and they offer a sample of a bundt cake to try when you come in. Sad I can't be eating it at this moment.

I hate the word "moist" but there is no other word that can more accurately describe the sweet bundtlets. I tried a sample of the lemon cake and purchased a white chocolate raspberry, both of which were delicious, although a bit sweet for my taste especially with the frosting (which was drizzled in a design resembling a giant spider caressing my cake). The shop itself was also adorable and spacious, although the service was spotty. It seemed like the other customers were being helped sufficiently but no one really said anything to me until I was ready to pay. Also. Watch out for bad drivers in the parking lot.

I wanted to love this place and expected to. The shop is adorable, the staff couldn't be sweeter, the packaging for the feeds 2 bundt cakes is cute. However, whether it's the white white chocolate, red velvet, chocolate chip or carrot - they all pretty much taste precisely the same. Worried that I may be losing my sweet tooth, I had hubby & family try the delectable cakes as well, only to have a similar reaction. Unless you're keen on 1 kind of cake flavor and don't branch out to try the others, which is not what I do, you're likely to have a similar result. Keeping in mind my great grandpa who was an amazing baker during WWII, I may have inherited a few baking talents or that cake baking is running through my veins, I'm just not a fan.

I honesty can not believe I have never reviewed this place before. I was introduced to Nothing Bundt Cake through a coworker who brought the adorable little bundtinis in for her birthday. Since then I have visited more times than I care to admit :-). I must say the cakes are enough to make you go back time and time again but to top it off the staff is beyond wonderful! Yesterday (Thursday) I wrote to the owner asking for a last minute donation for an event on Saturday. I fully expected a, "sorry but with such short notice we will be unable to accommodate your request response". BUT instead I got an "absolutely" and an extremely generous donation! Nothing Bundt Cake has mastered the art of cakes as well as customer service! This type of service just makes me love them even more! I have all the confidence in the world that the sample trays that will be shared at the event on Saturday will create many more fans for this amazing bakery!

I am not a real cake fanatic but my wife and I saw an ad for this place on a Groupon email. We didn't get the Groupon but she and I both thought the place would be worthy of a visit. I had no idea what we were in for. Located in the former Pot Belly Sandwich building I didn't realize what a person can do with a location. Inside was very welcoming and great atmosphere. We were greeted as though it was their first day open. Very professional and friendly people. The place was super clean and of course it smelled great too. The staff person asked if we had tried the sample they had out. We had and it was so good it was hard to believe. Moist and just the right sweetness. It was the raspberry something. Anyhow, the wife bought the double chocolate and I got the red velvet. Both were out of this world. By far the best tasting cake I have ever tasted in my life. All of their cakes have a cream cheese frosting and plenty of it. The cake itself is moist, light and flavorful. We signed up for the email club just so we won't forget.

My husband and I have been here several times. We are greeted every time we enter, and brought to the samples. The samples are always fresh and moist. My favorite cake has probably been the pumpkin, but I have also enjoyed the cinnamon and pecan praline as well. They have an email club and will send you a coupon for a free bundlet for your birthday. The cakes are meant to be served for 1-2, but being the sweet lover I am, I always just eat it myself. No shame here..they're pretty amazing.

Looks like the cupcake craze has died... But, will bundt cakes become the next craze??? In Wheaton, the answer is maybe. I had the individually sized carrot cake, and it tasted like heaven on earth. Enough said. The staff is polite and nice, nothing to complain about there.. My only minor complaint is the price.. When you live in the city, and going to the grocery store is a hike, you can go to these nearby specialty-type stores to get a cupcake/bundt cake/whatever cake.. However, when you live in the suburbs, Jewel is only a quarter mile drive away, and you can get more cake for less money. Admittedly, the quality is a little lower, but not that much lower that it would deter me from going to Jewel if I wanted more cake for my money.. ..But, if I was going to get someone a birthday gift, I would definitely consider getting a girl this, because it has that high-end quality to it that you would (or at least I) give to someone else.

This place is spectacular. We stopped in today to check it out and were warmly greeted by the young, enthusiastic staff. They directed us to the free samples (strawberry creme, yum!) and were happy to help with whatever questions we had. The store has such cute ideas for gifts/party favors of all kinds and we will definitely be back. Prices are surprisingly reasonable and the bundts are out of this world (try the chocolate chocolate chip if you're a chocoholic like me). Plan to stop in next time you're in the area, you won't regret it!

I won't change my rating based on the cake I ordered, but I do want to give some feedback: I ordered an 8 inch lemon cake for my husband's birthday. The order experience was pleasant, and my son and I had fun looking through the big book of cake design options. Cakes can be made 8 inch or 10 inch. I chose 8 inch, but it turns out the photos in the book are all 10 inch cakes, and the decorative options we chose did not fit well on the smaller size cake. Still, it was completely delicious. But I would like to have been warned that a giant bow would cover the entire cake, and there wouldn't be enough space for the birthday banner to stretch out. See photos if you'd like a better understanding. Maybe other decorative options could be offered for the smaller size cakes, or the shop could warn people that their selections might look a bit silly piled on a small cake.

I purchased a Red Velvet cake before Thanksgiving. I am not a huge fan of cake but these, Nothing Bundt Cakes are out of this world good!! I cannot compare these to any other cakes as they are in a league with gourmet baked goods unlike any I have tried before! I walked in and the staff was very helpful and pleasant to do business with. I will be back to purchase more. If I could give this product and owner/staff a 10 star rating I would.

Good news... more locations are on the way! There is one in progress in front of the AMC Theater in Naperville at the intersection of Rt 59 and 95th St. Had another great visit a few days ago and found another favorite - white chocolate raspberry. I also tried the special (lemon raspberry) but somehow I didn't enjoy this one at all even though my all-time favorite is the plain lemon. I will continue to work my way through the flavor menu to find the best of the best!

I visited here on a Friday afternoon and they were giving out samples of Red Velvet. It was tasty! I was greeted when I entered and offered a sample. My helper explained about the cakes - bundt, bundtlet and bundtinis. Big, small and smallest. They have different flavors and they all look great! I got 4 bundtlets which serve 3-4 people, it's just enough for each to have a taste. I brought them home and they didn't last long! The shop itself is small and in the middle of the Wheaton Towne Square shops. Parking within the shop area can be scarce, so go to the outskirts and there's plenty of spots there!

  • Lochin S.

A friend brought the red velvet to a gathering. OMG. This was the best Red velvet anything I have ever had. Ate two large pieces! Super moist crumb that heals together, but not heavy. Just enough cream cheese to each slice, again not to heavy or sugary. No strange after taste that some bad cakes give off from shortening in the frosting! LOVED. Can't wait to try more. New fan and now I'm telling everyone! Recently ran back tohe try the white chocolate raspberry-its good.

I'll be honest: I'm not the biggest fan of cupcakes. Upon hearing about Nothing Bundt Cakes, I wasn't too excited to try it. We were celebrating a birthday at work, and other coworkers had tried it before, so we decided to go with 2 dozen bundtinis We received 3 flavors: Double chocolate, Lemon, and Red Velvet. I can only speak on the first and third. Anyways, like I said, I think cupcakes are overrated. I'd much rather have a slice of cake. Cupcakes leave me wanting more. Don't get me started on minicupcakes, either. Also, as another reviewer mentioned, the term 'bundt cake' makes me think of a dry, tasteless pastry. Fortunately, NBC bucks the trend. I had 3 bundtinis; a double chocolate and 2 red velvet. All 3 were very good. The Double chocolate was very good. I'm not sure what made it double chocolate as opposed to just chocolate, but it was good. It was moist, unlike most chocolate cupcakes I usually eat (which is not many). The Red Velvet was the star of the show in my stomach. First off, the amount of cream cheese on each cake was perfect! It didn't overpower the cake, but it was just enough to satisfy me. As for the red velvet, it was a pleasant surprise! Most places doing red velvet right now remind me of a light chocolate. This tasted like red velvet is supposed to, which I'm not quite sure what it is, but it tasted different, and better than the typical red velvet that most of us experience today. The cakes aren't huge, but then aren't small either. I really enjoyed all 3, and I probably would have been satisfied with 2. I could probably eat 5-6, but I try my best not to be a glutton. Overall, I was satisfied with NBC. The prices are a bit high for my liking, but besides that, I have no complaints. I would recommend this over anything at your standard jewel/dominicks bakery. I'm not a fan of minicakes, but these are something I am looking forward to having again!

I like big bundts and I cannot lie! You otha brothas can't deny... When a cake walks in with a little bitty waist and a round thing in yo face you get sprung! Don't worry ladies and gents it seems there's enough bundts to go around. I recommend getting your hands on a perky little bundtlet! It's so luscious and fluffy you'll be begging for more!! But surely one bundtlet will please you for the night. You can always go for another round later. You'll be dreaming about all the bundts this place had to offer, trust me!!

  • Alison H.

The staff was very helpful, offered a sample as well as suggestions on what to try first (we tried the cinnamon, double chocolate, & red velvet). While it's typically difficult for me to be impressed with red velvet anything (I can't even count how many dry, disappointing red velvet cupcakes I've had), this was by far THE BEST red velvet cake I've ever had! My mom and I loved it so much, I ordered her a beautiful, large one for Mother's Day. Definitely recommend for anyone with sweet tooth like myself.

They have about 13 different flavors of bundt cakes and for $4.00, it is definitely big enough to share with another person for desert. Always fresh, always delish. If you are in the neighborhood, pick one up!

This is a really cute place and it is fun to have nearby in Wheaton Town Square. Yes, I too chuckled when I heard that there was going to be a new bakery/restaurant featuring bundt cakes. But seriously- it is more unique than you think and actually a very clever idea. You really do need to go and check it out. I stopped by this afternoon and they were offering free samples of their white chocolate raspberry bundt cakes- they are really pretty and very tasty. I was thinking of just buying something to take home to my husband but after trying the sample I had to get something for myself too. The decor is really cute and the people working are very friendly and positive. They have a case (see my picture) where you can choose a cake to take home- the individual size ones are bigger than a cupcake and have petals of cream cheese frosting on them, packaged in a cute plastic container that is easy to eat out of (which is handy, you have to admit). They are $3.99 each but until the end of April they are buy three, get one free. They have smaller ones that they sell only by the dozen and then bigger cakes that are ready to take home. They will also decorate a cake for you for a special occasion but they don't write on the cakes (but have message cards and flags for that purpose). They ask if you order a decorated cake that you give them 24 hours notice. They sell cute candles in the store. They do gift stacks of two or three bundtlets which is cute. They seem to have creative ideas. They just opened, so will be able to offer shipping and online ordering eventually but not quite yet. I had the pleasure to be served by the owner. She seems very excited about her new endeavor. She said it's a family owned business and they are hoping to be involved in and supporting the community. She said their family tradition has always been baking a bundt cake on the first day of school every year, so this opportunity had a special place in her heart and she wanted to jump at the chance. She said that she loves helping people celebrate special occasions (now, that is dear to MY heart) and feels that this is a new way to do just that. I think she even said that they have 40 different occasions they can do cakes for- that's cool. Now, to the cakes. I have never been a fan of cream cheese frosting so I was hesitant to try it, but I actually really liked the frosting! It is so smart when places offer samples because it convinced me to try it when I wouldn't normally pay money for something I wasn't sure I'd like. They only have cream cheese frosting but if you order ahead you can have it in petals, glaze (I think this is the most frosting if I remember correctly), or light drizzle. I personally like that the frosting doesn't coat the whole cake so you can have a few bites with no frosting or can have every bite with frosting- however your taste is. The cake itself is DELICIOUS. I can't believe how moist it is! They said that they taste best at room temperature so to wait 20 minutes or so. The samples were cold and I loved that but room temperature was even better- they were right. We tried the chocolate chocolate chip cake and the marble cake (yellow cake with chocolate swirled in). They were both excellent and I can't even tell you which one I liked more. They also offer carrot for those of you who are carrot cake/cream cheese frosting fans, and also red velvet and a few others. Guess what- they even have a gluten free chocolate chip cake! That is awesome for my friends who love dessert but can't have gluten- I think it's really thoughtful and wise of them to offer that. I think they are closed on Sundays and open until 6:00 on weekdays and Saturdays. I encourage you to stop in and give Nothing Bundt Cakes a try. It's a happy, friendly place and their moist cakes are cute and delicious!

I heard through the internet grapevine that this place was all the hype...gotta try these bundt cakes (what?), they are super delicious (huh?)...get over there! Ok, ok... I tried a slice of the chocolate-chocolate chip from my neighbor's cake...one bite & I was hooked! I finally got the hooplah on the social media mommy groups in my area...so sorry I ever doubted them! I went to the Wheaton location last week to get my son a small cake, appropriately called a "Bundtlet" for his b-day. To my surprise, I found that you can create a 2 or 3 tiered bundtlet tower, wrapped up with a teddy bear & bow! Perfect. I have 3 kids...each can have their own cake & the birthday boy gets his with a candle. Win-win for everyone. I was allowed to choose which 3 flavors of bundtlets to go with my package. They had about 10 different types that night...I ended up with 2 chocolate-chocolate chips and a marble. At the last minute, the sweet blonde behind the counter tells me that this week they have a special of buy 3, get 1 free...woo-hoo! So I chose the carrot cake for my mom & I to nosh on. Marble was good...moist, delicious mixture of chocolate and vanilla. Carrot was ok...on the spicy side (too much nutmeg?)...but I'm oh so picky about carrot cake. Chocolate chocolate chip remains #1 over here. Not too rich, not too bland...just right amount of freshness and chocolate in each bite. The fresh cream-cheese frosting comes on all cakes and it is delicious too. They had samples of red velvet when I was there (divine; it'll be my next purchase). Other flavors included lemon, pecan praline, chocolate turtle, white white chocolate and cinnamon swirl. They have many sizes to choose from as well: bundtinis, bundtlets, 8" cakes, 10" cakes and tiered cakes. I'm not usually a follower of anything, but I will definitely follow my footsteps back to Nothing Bundt Cakes in the near future.

I had the bundtini's at my future sister-in-laws bridal shower and they were amazing! A bundt cake? Yes. I had the chocolate which was great, the lemon was awesome but the red velvet (which is usually my favorite) was just okay. I loved them so much I'm having my mom order some for my bridal shower!

Let me preface--- I don't even like cake. I LOVE this place. The different sizes and flavors give you so many options. I wish they had a frequent buyer club. Cakes are moist, fresh, and delicious. Must try the carrot cake, lemon, and chocolate chocolate chip.

You don't really need to look further than my previous reviews (and love handles... Sigh) to know that I LOVE me some baked goods. So when cruising around yelp and seeing there was a new bakery featuring nothing but bundt cakes, I book marked it as a must try. I hadn't found time to get over there though, because their hours are a little awkward (they don't open till 9am, they're closed by 6pm, and they're not open Sundays). Also, it's located in the eye of the circular, soccer-mom-in-an-SUV-with-twenty-kids-and-on-her-cell-phone-driving-toward-me storm known as Denada. I can't STAND shopping back there because no one can drive, I can never find anything, and the parking is an atrocity. Ugh. But today I decided to brave the circle and swing over to Nothing after a long day of Saturday errands. I miraculously found parking, and went right in! This place is CUTE! It's small for sure, but you don't exactly need lots of room. It's very pastel and kitschy, but I dig that. If Alice left wonderland, grew to middle age, and decided to throw her life savings into bundt cakes, THIS would be her bakery. All of the bundts are pre-packaged and lined up in a standard bakery type case - I presume as this is a franchise that they may not be baked on site? And there's a small table to the side where they had samples. We walked in and were greeted by a VERY overzealous employee who demanded we sample the lemon bundt and then ask her when we're ready to order. I generally hate lemon, but went for it anyway. It was delicious! A strong lemon flavor and perfectly sugary icing. I decided on a red velvet "bundtlet," (think cupcake sized bundt cake) and the fiancé got the lemon raspberry. We paid our over-4-bucks-a-pop (!!!!) and took them home. The frosting method makes these look like weird sugar octopuses, but I can look past that. The red velvet was nice - sweet, dense, and studded with chocolate chips, which I REALLY liked - but didn't quite have that tangy, southern charm that makes for an AMAZING red velvet cake. The frosting was delicious, thick cream cheese which complemented the rich cake well. The portion size is perfect (kinda wish I'd bought two flavors to try...) and satisfying. Fiancé liked his a lot! I hate raspberry, but as objectively as possible, it was good, too. We won't be back every day, but Ill definitely drop in for another bundtlet on a cheat day. I hope this place makes it - being a very niche product in a location that must have exorbitantly high rent makes me a little nervous for it - but I definitely see it as a welcomed addition to quiet little Wheaton.

My husband and I just stopped in to look around and they happened to be offering samples of their bundt cakes. They were so delicious and the cream cheese frosting so good that we had to buy a cake to take home. We bought the chocolate chocolate chip and it was amazing. My favorite part was the cream cheese frosting, very good! I'll definitely be back to bring friends and family here when they visit.

The owner is as sweet as the cakes! Super friendly staff, too. Stopped in after lunch, so we were stuffed. But had enough room to sample the red velvet and double chocolate. OMG! Delicious. Chose 3 mini cakes and can't wait to sink my teeth into them! Parking isn't too bad; just circle the lot a couple times, as spots open up often.

These little bundt cakes are the most moistened cakes. They do a great job decorating at the last minute or playing a order. They are very accommodating.

Great change up from typical bakery cakes. The drive out to Wheaton, which my fiance and I have done 3-4 times from Chicago, will make them feel even more special. :-) As a self-proclaimed connoisseur of cakes, I was super excited for wedding cake tastings during my wedding planning. Sadly, I just wasn't that impressed with many of the local "it" Chicago bakeries. I was in the midst of giving up on wedding cake and just going with an ice cream bar or something when my mom suggested the Nothing Bundt Cakes franchise (she lives in Omaha, NE and had used the local NBC on other occasions). With nothing to lose, my fiance and I decided to give them a visit. And Wooohooo are we glad we did!!!! Seriously, these cakes are delicious. Super moist (eww, I know people hate that word) cake and creamy, just the right amount of sweet, cream cheese frosting. The BEST! I'm pretty sure in our multiple visits out to Wheaton we've tried a majority of the flavors. All have been delicious but you can't go wrong with the red velvet, the white chocolate raspberry, or the chocolate chocolate chip. We're super excited to have them at our wedding.

I helped my mom host a baby shower at her house this past weekend. She placed the order for a few dozen bundtinis and I picked up the order a few days later. Shortly after the pick up I receiveda call from the owner apologizing and saying they had forgotten to use the bundt cups my mom provided (pink polka dot cups- hey, it was a baby shower everything was cutesy). I had a dozen other errands to run to prepare for this shower and was not going to have time to go back. The owner took down my address and personally dropped off the cups AND a dozen free bundts. I was very impressed with the lengths they went to to make up for the minor mishap. They really know how to treat their customers which is so refreshing! The bundtini's were a huge hit and you can bet we will be enjoying the left overs all week. Or however long they last..

My new favorite place for dessert! The bundts are moist and a good size to split (although I wouldn't blame you if you ate one by yourself!). My favorite flavors are red velvet and carrot cake. I have to say, the frosting doesn't look particularly artful on the cakes, but who cares about presentation when the dessert tastes so good. I've only had the bundlet size so far, but I'm sure I'll be back soon to try other flavors and sizes.

I have never been a big fan of bundt cakes, then came Nothing Bundt Cakes. My wife brought one home for Thanksgiving. When she told me she had gotten a bundt cake I was initially not real enthused, but after telling me she had tasted it and it was exceptional I trusted it would be ok. OK falls a few miles short of the real experience. I'm still not a bundt cake fan, but these are in a league all their own making that immaterial as I am still in shock that a cake could be so good. Rich, yes, not something I'll get every day but when looking for a unique treat I now know where to go. These are gourmet cakes that are for special occasions. I can only imagine how good the little ones are, as a variety would take it to a whole new level. There are not words to capture how truly good these cakes are, so all I can say is go get one for your next family gathering and you'll have a lot of happy people as a result. I've only tried the red cake one and I can't imagine better, but I'll enjoy finding out in the future!!! This is a 5+ star experience as the + is for the future and the chance to try other flavors! Don't hesitate, just enjoy!!!

Ok here goes... YUM! Dear NBC. Seriously? If you have a job you can't go here. What kind of bakery opens after 9am? And unless you live in south wheaton and you are unemployed you can't get to what's actually left in the shop by 6pm. From north wheaton?? Forget it, by the time you get through the construction, the business has taken the day off. Too bad because the stuff is good,Bad location if you need to pop in to pick up a cake on a Saturday. Get some coffee and a clue and ill be there for breakfast at 7 instead of Starbucks . Who reviewed this business plan and shelled out the loan ?

OMG these cakes are amazing. A friend raved about them and I was like..."OK Whatever..." Then he brought one to a party and I'm telling you...amazing!!!! We had the raspberry and there are no words. We were all licking the frosting off the plate when the cake was done. It is FABULOUS!!!!

I tried the lemon bundt cake at the Taste of Wheaton this year and thought it was delicious, not to mention moist which is a must. I haven't been to the shop yet but would like to try a chocolate variety.

The BEST moist little or BIG cakes you ever want to eat! The store is just immaculate! Staff is very friendly. Great prices for such great cakes! No more $5 cupcakes that disappoint for me! They have samples for you to try of their flavors. I LOVE the lemon cake /cream cheese frosting, so so so delicious. I wish I had one right now, just telling you about it! Next fav is the Red Velvet, so yummy. Carrot Cake is heaven....... I have tried several flavors and they are all so so good! Nothing Bundt Good! I recommend you buy an assortment of flavors. If you need a desert to bring to a dinner or "Tea" you will be a hit! The cakes are decorated with cream cheese frosting to look like petals. So pretty and absolutely delicious , you will definitely impress everyone with your desert! They even have little hostess gifts to bring along. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE their cakes! Check out the photo's, you are going to want one now! Don't miss this place!

I ordered Bundtlets for a recent baby shower. The shop worked with me to add a small baby decoration to each before packaging and they were a big hit with the guests. Nice shop with a friendly staff. And best of all a great product! Haven't found a flavor yet that I don't like!

I've been here several times since they have opened. The staff is very friendly and their bundt cakes are "to die for"! The cream cheese frosting is incredible!! They have a variety of flavors as well. I love that they offer a gluten-free option too. The only down part is that their ONLY gluten-free option is their Chocolate Chip Bundt Cake. Don't get me wrong, it is absolutely delicious, but I do wish there were more gluten-free options. This is probably a blessing in disguise though, as I'd probably be tempted to go in there WAY more! I also wish their larger bundt cakes weren't so pricey :( The little bundtlet is the perfect size for a single person, so I stick to those anyway! I'll give 4 stars for the great customer service and high quality products, but not 5 due to lack of gluten-free options and I personally think some of their products are a bit over-priced. Above all else, I recommend this place to everyone.
