I can't say enough great things about this place. Our visit was fantastic!!! We reserved for a party of 5, but 3 of us arrives early, so we had a seat at the bar. The bartender was very personable & prompt. He did forget the vermouth in my brother's martini, but we were yapping at him quite a bit, so probably distracted him. Didn't stop bro from drinking that whole thing! The bartender gave the other member of our party wine suggestions and proper tastes. Then when bread was requested, he not only brought the bread, but olive oil, butter and Parmesan cheese! So, we get to our table and enjoy wine, appetizers, mains & desserts. Our server (I never did get her name - she had short blonde hair & glasses) was knowledgable, helpful and soooooooo personable! We were sampling everyone's food and - wow! - everything was delicious! (That fig & prosciutto app was original and yum, yum) I had the red snapper, my bro had the veal, my folks split a penne with sausage & cheese dish (eh) and our star of the evening had the broccoli ("very broccoli") soup. Only common comment from the others was that the caesar dressing was bland. We ordered 2 desserts: the pistachio gelato profiteroles and an apple tart. They were so good, we got the coconut cake, too! [Please pardon I'm not giving the actual names of the dishes, but, I can't remember them and you get the gist] The restaurant is small, tasteful, not loud at all, but also not library-quiet to inhibit your conversation. We really enjoyed ourselves. Thank you, Francesca's!
Holy cow, how I adore Francesca's. The pastas are cooked perfectly, the fish is from probably the best purveyor in Chicagoland, and their drink menu is fantastic (especially on the nights when they have $5 martinis). We ALWAYS order bruschetta, even though we frequently have a server who corrects my pronunciation of the word. Even though I speak fluent Italian. And went to school in Italy. Culinary school. That's how good the freaking bruschetta is. My biggest complaints about Francesca's are pretty minor: -They aren't open for lunch on the weekends. -Their desserts have come from numerous sources over the years, so there's a small consistency issue. But I'd still recommend dessert. It's a great place for a romantic dinner, a special occasion, or if you just want to spoil yourself a little. Go now.
If you've read my reviews you'll know I'm a fan of the Francesca's family of restaurants. Just like the others this one serves great food at reasonable prices. This was my first visit to this location and I really liked it! The food was very consistent and the service was great. I met an old friend that I hadn't seen in over a year and we took our time while never ever feeling rushed by the server.

Let me start out saying this place used to be good. The wife and I have been regulars for years and enjoyed the atmosphere, food and service. However, the last 2 times have been terrible. We went back after the first terrible experience thinking everyone has a bad day but last night (3/2/2013) was just a bad experience. After we ordered it took a very long time for our soup and salad to arrive, so long in fact, 2of the dinners arrived within a minute of our salads. We asked them to take the dinner's back and provide fresh ones after we were were done with our salad's just stuck our dinners under a heat lamp and then served them to us later. That was the worst fish and chips we ever had. Another person in our party ordered a rare piece of prime rib that came to our table medium at best. The waitress knew we were displeased and informed us the drinks would be on the house. A little consolation but a nice gesture. But when we received the check the drinks were on it and we paid in full for what was a waste of our hard earned money. Now were on the search for a new local hangout. Every thing changes eventually an the food and service definitely changed at the West Dundee Village Squire. When in doubt....don't go. 7/29/15 We have returned to the Village Squire since this review and are happy to say that things are much improved and we can once again recommend this restaurant.
We ordered burgers and beer. The parm burger was really awesome. The staff was great as well.
Threw a bridal shower in their back room and it went awesome! The staff was so helpful while we were setting everything up and really made sure we were well taken care of. D was our server and she rocked the party! Just really made everyone comfortable, smile and she even took photos for us so we could have a group photo (HER IDEA!!!) The bartender (didn't get her name) was super sweet and was a blast too! Everything went as smooth as we'd hoped and we left really happy we chose this location. Been going here for years and plan to go many more!!!

Greats all around Chinese foods and friendly services!!!
Omg DO NOT eat here! We ordered sweet and sour chicken and the sweet sour sauce was BURNT. I called to see if they'd replace it and told me it'd be a waste of time because that how their sauce is. Barf.
This is one of the best Chinese restaurants that I have been to. When it comes to their food, they don't skimp. Their egg rolls are huge. The other portions are amazing. The flavor of their food is fantastic. This is one of the best take out Chinese places there is. Of course, they only have one table, so eating there isn't the best option. What really stands out is their Wonton Soup. Unlike most restaurants that give you dish water with noodles and some green onions, Gilberts actually puts a ton of stuff in theirs. What separates theirs is not just the taste, but the amount of pork they put in it. I swear, they take a rib and just slice it up. It is amazing. The Wonton Soup itself is a meal, and well worth it. Gilberts is also affordable. I started going here as a kid in the mid-80s and the restaurant hasn't changed a bit.

While the food is predictably good, there are some things lacking in this restaurant. From chips n salsa, to a kid's meal, to a taco platter or even a burger.... It's all good. The newer plates are a plus, however food presentation could be a bit better. The restaurant itself is showing its age. The wood parts of the tables are annoyingly sticky, so much so that in summer it's not pleasant to rest your forearm on them. The outside of this particular Chili's has received some updated awnings and plants. The inside just looks like its in need of a new updated look as well. Sadly, since the nearby Target closed, we hardly travel to this side of town now. Thus we don't stop in as much anymore. Service is always attentive, quick processing of food tickets and drink orders.
It's just not a good product anymore. My family of four just went there for the last time. Except for their chips and salsa which I will still get to go. Fact: their menu has 18 pages of food and beverages. 18.
haven't been to a chili's in a while, so we thought why not give it a try. I always liked there food, just never stood out above the rest. It was the same this time as well. Friendly waiter and ok food.I ordered the margarita chicken over a bed of rice and beans, I actually ate the rice and beans and ended up saving my chicken for lunch the next day. They do have a really cool machine at the tables now that you can swipe your credit card through to pay for your meal.Nice so you dont have to wait for them to bring you your check!!

We have been waiting for weeks for this restaurant to open. Went last night. Waited a few minutes to be seated (not bad for a Friday night) but then the wait began. Got our drinks and placed our order. 10 minutes and soup arrived. After our soup was finished the bus boy came and took our bowls and then tried taking all of our silverware away...we had not eaten yet. 20 minutes later the food arrived. My husband had the fish fry and I had a chicken dish. The fish was served with tater tots that were not warm, the chicken was served with a gravy that was so salty that I could still taste the salt an hour later. This is no replacement for Regina's (that was the last good restaurant at this location). We don't plan on returning to Bootleggers any time in the future.
My family and I were here a few hours ago and did not have a good experience. Although it is their second night being open, there was no excuse for the poor service. It took almost 40 min to get our food, and 20 min to get my cocktail the waitress forgot about. To add insult to injury, my husbsnd ordered a Cajun Ckn Salad, I overhead the waitress tell a women (dressed in black with long black hair) not sure what position she held, that "it's not "cajun chicken". She told the waitress to "see if he wants it". As she was walking away she said "we don't over spice our food so it may not be spicy enough but we can fix it". In knowing it was incorrect it shouldn't have been served. Oh yeah, it came with fries we never saw either. Maybe it's because they're newly opened but there were too many issues for me to try them anytime soon. They'll have to do better to get my business.
I am floored at these bad reviews!? My husband and I went here on a Sunday, their 2nd Sunday they were opened....and really liked it.... clean, good atmosphere, good service... I got the Diamond Wine $6 special, generous glass of wine, and it was so good!! I order a burger and their special fries, my husband got the Sunday special...Turkey Dinner...oh and we also got an appetizer the buffalo wings...everything was good!! We loved it....so a week later we tried it for Carry Out ... my husband got the Pot Roast dinner, and I got the half a slab of ribs dinner...all very good...came with soup or salad...my husband's mash potatoes needed salt...the veggies were amazing! .. The packing for the Carry Out was GREAT! They even included a bag of bread rolls.... I really liked this place..the food is way better than the Village Squire..and it is way cleaner...go ahead, and try it for yourself...give them the benefit of the doubt...learn curves...right people!?

There's three noteable things here: 1. Ethically-raised meats and fresh produce assembled to your order right in front of your eyes. What's not to love? This is how fast food should be. 2. Everyone I've ever seen work here seems to be genuinely happy and friendly. 3. It gets a little cold in here in the winter, so wear your coat. My wife sometimes refuses to go here because of the temperature in the winter.
I LOVE chipotle and this expience is adding to the greatness!! I came here with my nephew on Valentine's Day.....HAHA what can I say it's what we wanted!!! It was pretty crowded...I was shocked. We waited in line and I made my nephew's bowl first and then went back to the front and made my bowl....while I was making my bowl my nephew took it upon himself to go behind the counter and give the worker a hug and a kiss on the hand...HAHA....she was the NICEST girl to him and let him take a basket for his bowl and kiss her hand ..more then once. When I went to pay for the food she said he was so cute and such a good kid that she was going to give me his bowl for free.....I thought that was so sweet of her!!! She then came to check on us during our meal and asked if we needed anything else. This chipotle went above and beyond expectations for us and I will be going back for sure!!!
I haven't visited a Chipotle in years. After lunch there today, I now remember why. I will keep my review short and sweet because this place really isn't worth much more of my time. A. The food doesn't even come close to authentic Mexican food. B. $10 for a burrito and some chips and salsa (no drink) at a fast food joint. Really? I mean REALLY?? The flavors are OK, but the fleecing I got left a bitter taste in my mouth.
