I can be as fussy as one can get when it comes to pizza, particularly on thin crust pizza. I've tried many and most have missed the mark on satisfying my snob attitude when it come to thin crust but such is not the case with World Famous Pizza Sycamore. It's not perfect but exceeds most of the other pizzerias I've tried in the DeKalb/Sycamore area. I also like my pizza crust crispy and will order well done only to have the cheese become one melted glob and then have the whole topping come with one bite. Again not the case with WFPS. The only UGH is my lovely bride is one of those who has joined the 'Oh No! Gluten' society and so seldom joins me for a pizza.now. Sure be nice if WFPS had a tasty guten free pizza. If my lovely bride liked it (she'll deny it but she is way fussier than me) WFPS would probably become the default pizza joint and get the As Good as it Gets rating. i'll probably never find my perfect pizza but WFPS is rolling their dough to give it a try

Most of my rating is for the pizza. It was pretty good. Crust was firm but not hard. Sauce could have been a little more liberal. And the cheese was just the right of melted. I bought two slices and a can of pop and it was $5.50. I can't complain about the price. Now, the environment leaves something to be desired. It was dark, and after I sat down, quiet. I think once the employee saw someone was there, he killed the music. Wouldn't have minded some music or TV

Great pizza (seriously)...... If you're in Sycamore and you want/need pizza, this is your place.

Amazing pizza. I recommend trying the cheese. Normally I love a ton of toppings but the sauce, crust, cheese and seasonings are perfect.

I had a coupon or I would not have tried their pizza. I am perfectly happy with Mugzzies (great cracker-thin crust) or Italian Dreams (awesome taco pizza). What a colossal disappointment. Could barely eat a quarter of it before the salt content became too much. I think the over-abundance of salt was in the crust. It was like eating a salt lick. Within half an hour my feet swelled up like Macy's Thanksgiving day parade balloons. Usually I reheat leftover pizza in a pan with olive oil: crust gets crispy & the toppings re-heat very well. This pizza, however, is destined for the trash. I did talk to the owner the next day & he could not have cared less. I was not expecting an offer of free pizza, maybe 1/2-off my next one but he just could not be bothered. No more searching for a better pizza. Mugzzies or Italian Dreams for me from here on in.

The pizza here tastes great. I've never had a problem with them. It is a little saltier than some of the other local shops, but I don't mind (especially if you get a lot of meats on it).

Yummmmmm!! This pizza is phenomenal. We get it all the time even though they don't deliver to our area. The weekend deal- $25 for two pizzas, breadsticks and a 6 pack (or 2 liter- same thing!) of soda is such a bargain for the amount of food and quality of the food. Try the Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza- it makes me drool just thinking about it!!

Having been to both Sycamore and DeKalb for World Famous Pizza, i think my better experience has definitely been in Sycamore. The pizzas are nearly identical, but in Sycamore the dry crust and greasy cheese have some flavor as well. Salty, cheap dried herbs, tangy tomato sauce. This is nothing more than bar pizza really, but whereas in DeKalb the pizza was something you could eat with beer for relatively little money, in Sycamore you could reasonably want to eat the pizza as a meal. It is pretty typical greasy bar pizza, but it's good at being that. It's satisfying, generous with the cheese, and tastes good. Well, that it even tastes like something is an improvement over World Famous Pizza in DeKalb. Good for impromptu pizza gatherings, parties, cravings, whims.

Ordered a 16 inch double dough pizza with peperoni and peperocinis. Was very good. Very cheesy but not too greasy. The crust was very good. Will probably order from here from now on.

I ate in this restaurant on May 21, with a small group of people. This appears to be a carry-out/delivery place with a few token tables and chairs for people who might want to dine in. We needed to dine in. PROS Pizza was good, above average. Also got a side of fried mushrooms, which were tasty. Order taker was exceptionally pleasant , helpful and accommodating to us. CONS Pizza took quite a while to cook, on the order of 40 minutes. The only drink selections were cans of soda. The main drawback to this place is that they apparently have no ventilation in the restaurant. It had to be 110 degrees inside there, and we were told it's much worse on hot summer days. As I think this is mostly a carry out place, this may not be a concern to many people. But I would not dine-in here again. Would be nice if they had outdoor seating.

I do love this place for a great thin crust pizza. How much can you say about pizza except you know the good from the bad. This falls in the good! Fast delivery too.
