Rosati’s Pizza of Streamwood

Reviews:
I'm not a frequent pizza eater, so when I indulge, I want the taste experience to be exceptional. Rosati's Pizza of Streamwood is the best I've found. I first had pizza from this location about 4-5 years ago. I'm not in their delivery area & it's a bit out of my way, so I've tried many other places, including other Rosati's locations closer to home. Now I just plan on making the trip to this location when the craving hits. Personal favorites are the Spinach Classic pizza, or build your own (onion/mushroom/black olive). The pizza has enough sauce, maybe that's why it tastes so good--proportions of sauce & cheese & crispy crust edges all just right. The pasta is really good too; I love the lasagna with meat sauce and chicken parmigiana. Dinner portions are big enough for lunch the next day if you're a leftover lover. The staff have always been friendly and attentive; customer service is consistently great. Just thinking about it, I'm getting another craving!!
After having a not great first experience due to poor weather conditions causing delivery issues, the business owner personally contacted us to apologize and give us a credit on our account towards a future order. We did order again and were very pleased with our deep dish pizza. We very much appreciated that the owner made sure that we had a good experience.
The pizza delivery guy was seriously patient when I had to have a charge corrected on the order. Nice Mgr, too. Exactly the kind of pizza you want when u r sick and want comfort food. Delicious pizza and friendly non-creepy ppl delivering the pizza.

First time here. Excellent food. Lunch special with gyro and chicken shawarma. Meat was very tasty and juicy. Hummus was also. Will be back for sure. Dinning room was clean but nothing exceptional. Definitely set up more for carry out. Well worth your visit.
Pros: food quality is good, shawarma beef was a little chewy cons: very small quantity of food, very cheap on rice, meat, and salad portion especially for the price you pay $11.99 for combo meal and $9 for chicken entree. Pita House on Roselle rd, is a better bang for the buck!! just as good taste wise and you get a heck of a lot more food for cheaper price! Suggestions: lower prices and increase quantity and you will get higher rating.
The worst Mediterranean food I ever had. Nothing taste like Mediterranean it's more like having Indian kababs. They should review their recipes.

Los Burritos Tapatios Restaurant

Reviews:
I passionately pride myself on eating Mexican food. I actually just got back from Mexico City one month ago. As you can imagine, I indulged in great food there. With all that said, Los Burritos has the best Mexican food on the planet.
Would have given it 5 stars except my BF's enchiladas were made with chicken instead of the ground beef he requested. He opted to eat it rather than send it back. It was quite tasty with the mole sauce and rice/beans on the side. My steak burrito was hearty and hot. I could only half but the bright side is I have lunch for tomorrow! Free chips and free refill on the horchata on dine in only. Their salsa is hot. TIP: although they have table service, you still go pay up at the counter when you are done. When we got done, there was a rush of people so checking out took a while as we waited in line again after customers who were ordering.
As a college student, Its really hard to find really great places to eat on a budget. Los Burritos is delicious and authentic for a reasonable price, and is also great when you're in a hurry because the food comes out fast! Being a vegetarian can make going out to eat difficult at times because not everywhere has vegetarian options, but Los Burritos has DELICIOUS veggie burritos! Also, they give you complimentary chips and three types of salsa which is always a plus. My boyfriend got a steak burrito and a beef taco and said it was some of the best meat that he's eaten in a while and it really added to the taste of his food. All their appetizers are around $1-3 and their food is an average of $6. Such a great hidden treasure near barrington road.

Best sushi in the burbs! We arrived at 9:15pm and chose this place becuase of a late closing time. They said they close in 15 mins but would be happy to take us. They didn't rush us or make us feel unwelcome. Edememe comes free of charge as an appetizer, along with warm hand wipes and a personal water pitcher. VERY nice welcome. The sushi is fantastic! The cuts are thick and melt in your mouth! Salmon, eel, and tuna are my main staples and this place was fantastic for all three. We also tried the rainbow roll, which we try everywhere, and it was also stellar! We were very impressed overall, from service to quality, and will definitely be back!
The husband I were craving sushi for our Friday date night last week and we found this place on Yelp and it looks like it has a decent reviews. We were even happier to find out that they had a Groupon deal ($15 for $30) so we purchased that and had our dinner here. Sometimes, when you purchase things on Groupon, you do wonder why they needed to have a promo and sometimes you figure out why. I don't think this place is bad, it's decent, but unfortunately, it's not what I expected in terms of taste and especially price. Even with our Groupon, we had to really budget and spent a bit extra just to feel a bit satiated. My first impression was that this place must be under renovations or something because from a look-standpoint, they were very bare in terms of decor. Even their menu was just a sheet of printer paper inserted into sheet protectors being tied together by a ribbon. There was no sign of 'under constructions" and previous historic reviews for this place went back as far as 4 years ago so I was a bit confused by the look of it. They also didn't have that many tables set up and the layout seemed a little bit not as flowy. The overall ambiance of this place felt like it was a place that just opened and haven't quite settled into their decor or feel established. Service was very nice and friendly though and even their sushi chefs seems to speak Japanese or Korean or some sort of authentic language so that impressed me a bit. However, the overall taste of the food was just okay. The rice in the maki wasn't moist, it was dry and the seaweed wrap was too chewy. The content inside the maki was okay portion and flavor was kind of bland. They gave sauces to dip on the side which is good, but I prefer the sauces inside my rolls to really let the flavor sink in. Each slices of maki was very thin and small. I couldn't tell if this is how sushi really is and I've just been too used to bigger rolls that got super-sized or what, but I felt like it wasn't really worth the money. They had sushi maki rolls range from $5 to the upper teens. But even when we ordered a Caterpillar roll at $9, it was the thinnest and smallest 8-piece roll I've ever seen. I've had other house special rolls that priced around $14 that were much bigger, and I think I almost prefer a big roll that is priced higher than a medium priced one that is so tiny... Psychologically, the price and the portions at this place just didn't jive for me. The food unfortunately, wasn't spectacular enough for me to really rave about it. I think it's decent, but until I have a more interesting experience here, I can't say it really stand out among other sushi places.
This is literally the very best sushi! I drive from Detroit just to eat here. They have only the best and freshest seafood for sushi. The summer roll is one of my favorites. There is also quite a few items that are not on the menu that you have to ask for.

Peppermint mocha. mmhh mmhh good!
Everyone has their Starbucks and this one is mine. The baristas know me by order and recognize me through the drive-thru camera. They are on the ball and super friendly. My drink is of the Skinny Latte variety, which I enjoy. I will occasionally get someone on the weekend that doesn't give me skim. However, it is rare that I wouldn't get exactly what I ask for. Service here is consistently good. I used to get breakfast sandwiches here all the time. The turkey bacon sammy is great. I liked the breakfast wraps they had awhile back, especially the bacon avocado one. I wish they would bring it back. As another poster commented, it can be a PITA trying to get in and out of this place.
One of the small local Starbucks locations. This one is fairly nice and friendly. Very clean and well stocked too.

Portillo’s Hot Dogs

Stopped by here before a show. Ordered the chicken sandwich and a chocolate shake. Chocolate shake was really good. The sandwich was alright, nothing out of the world, meat quality was good though. Clean place, has that rustic decor with the hangings and neon lights. Will come back again and try their much hyped chocolate cake shake
Portillo's is a local restaurant chain. There's a couple of chicago locations but the best ones are in the suburbs. Such as this one. The decor successfully aims for a 1950's feel, vinyl booths etc. There are usually lines for both dine in and drive thru as this place is really really popular. In my opinion the lines are worse in the drive thru during weekend peak dining times, but the difference can be slight. The ordering is done at a counter and there is no real waiter service. When your order is ready they call it out and you bring it to your table. Alcohol is ordered at a separate window, and the choices are very basic. This is not a place for drinking. Nothing is really poor here but the strongest menu item are the polish, the Chicago style, and the Italian beef. the beef comes wit or without cheese and peperoncini. Be careful with the peperoncini as a little adds wonderful flavor, but too much will overpower the sandwich. It's difficult to find a better Italian beef anywhere. The onion rings are crisp, and the shakes are cold and oh so sweet. Alas the fries are just average, but the rest of the menu more then makes up for it.
This Portillo's gets four stars only for being the closest one on the way to visit family when I'm coming in from Milwaukee. Because they always screw up my order, ALWAYS. But I'm Portillo's-deprived living across the border, so I Do. Not. Even. Care. I usually don't even complain about it. Because I'm so excited to finally be back at Portillo's that I just eat whatever they throw at me. The slogan for this location should probably be: "Always delicious, never what you ordered."

This is a small and casual restaurant in the area. I think the food is great for that level of restaurants and better quality than other Chinese restaurants in the area like Chinese Fortune House or Panda Express. The special fried rice is one of my favorites, it is very tasty. The portions are good. I will definitely go back.
I love this place, the food is so amazing, im really big on awesome Chinese food. The lady at the ccounter is hilarious and very friendly
