Stopped by Memorial Day for lunch. Easy to make our 1 pm reservation for 6 and we were sat promptly. Kids had a blast (high chairs and boosters available). Between the 6 of us we got the filet minion, shrimp (hibachi and garlic style), teriyaki chicken, and the lunches all came with soup and salad. The place is a bargain for what is essentially a show and meal. I think it was $13 for the the filet and shrimp. So the small salad on it's own won't be winning any awards but it's a nice addition to the soup prior to the meal. I was impressed and the kids enjoyed that a small dish of ice cubes was brought specifically to them for their soup as they couldn't eat it right away as it was too hot for them. The reactions on the kids faces (3 and 6 y.o) was worth the trip as they watched the chef twirl and juggle the egg and yolk. Also the food was delicious. Friend rice tasted great and of course was piping hot as it was just made in front of us. Shrimp tasted great with the sauces presented to us before the meal. Filet was tender and cooked perfectly and just as we requested. Go out, bring the kids, enjoy the show, savor the food, and have fun!
We get take out sushi from JuRin on a semi-regular basis and have stopped in for hibachi once or twice since my last review. JuRin is solid and they are really fast with takeout orders.
Love this place! Sushi always fresh. I have not done the hibachi, however it is ALWAYS jam packed at the tables. I love the conveyor belt sushi concept. Especially if you are going with someone who isn't familiar with sushi. You can try a few pieces without being committed to 8 pieces of the same roll! I love it.

It was just a normal Starbucks, until my friend ordered a naked juice blended with ice.... And they didn't know how to make it. It's a naked juice, blended with ice... Seriously?
They are very quick. Even at peak hours, I don't sit in line for that long. And the baristas always seem sincerely nice.
Love that they have a drive through, and their baristas are always friendly and quick with orders.

Buffalo Wild Wings

I would have to say that this is probably the best B-Dubs that I have been to. The service is always very good and the food tastes the same at all of them so I can't say that that is better...but the service at this location is definitely the best that I have had at a B-Dubs. You know the drill at this place...wings, boneless wings, sandwiches, fried appetizers and BEER! I don't know about the other locations because I never really paid attention, but this one has about 10 beers on tap, if not more...it was insane! And, of course, tonight is $.50 boneless wings, so that's always a plus. Overall, a cool place to go, especially if you plan on sitting in the bar area, to have a few beers and some wings.
they have become the mcdonalds of wings not bad prices plenty of selection
In my personal opinion- this is a pretty standard Buffalo Wild Wings. The sauces are good- my favorite of any wing place- and I believe their rating system is fairly accurate. I've eaten here and taken the food to go both several times over. I have always had friendly service- nothing over the top great, but friendly. I do like that they have a drink fountain where you can do your own refills/your server doesn't have to go back to the kitchen because on game nights this place is insane! During the first playoff hockey game this year we had to wait over half an hour to get through on the phone (I would have given up, but my husband was determined). As far as the rest of the food, I find it to be meh at best. The wedges are probably my second favorite- but BWW is all about the wings, so if you don't like wings, I would skip it for sure.

This place is awesome! I ordered a half rack of BBQ ribs. It came with a salad, mashed potatoes, and corn on the cob. Everything was excellent! The ribs were so tender and the BBQ sauce was very good! Probably THE BEST ribs I've ever had! The $4.99 price of the kids meal, for my daughter, was nice. It even included a drink and ice cream! The castle like decor was pretty cool, the staff were friendly. If I'm ever in this area again, I'll definitely be eating here especially for the BBQ ribs!
This review is for the Village Squire in South Elgin. They have great food and nice servers. Two of my favorite waitresses are Mickey and Denise. They are both incredible ladies with great, friendly personalities and always go "above and beyond" when waiting on you. The rib special on Thursdays is really great. You get a full slab of barbecue ribs, choice of potato, whole ear of fresh corn on the cob, soup or salad for $14.99. Ribs are consistently tender and flavorful. They also have stuffed mushroom caps on special on Thursdays and they are great. They have different specials every day and are really good. Great burgers, too. The Village Squire in Crystal Lake is no comparison to the one in South Elgin. We went there for the Thursday rib special and when were received our dinner there was no corn on the cob. When the bill came it was $18.99 each instead of $14.99 each. Quite a surprise to pay $8.00 more for 2 dinners with no corn on the cob, big special! We figured since it was family owned restaurant the prices would be the same. Totally different atmosphere than the great location in South Elgin. I would not recommend the Village Squire in Crystal Lake, as I will not be going back there but the one in South Elgin is top notch, the best!
Very good...from.the popcorn to the salad to pizza and Moscow mule. Nice music Saturday evening.

My dear friend Amy suggested this place for lunch today as a good half-way spot between Carpentersville and St. Charles. We were both wowed. It is indeed tucked away in a strip mall but once you find it, so worth it. The atmosphere and decor is really nice, a step UP from many sushi joints in a strip mall. The chairs are SO comfortable, I can't say that enough! Not that this is why you choose a restaurant, but this isn't some run-of-the-mill sushi joint. I should have taken MORE photos, but I got a shot of the bar area and our sushi platter. Can we say NOM NOM?? They really have a HUGE HUGE selection of all kinds of rolls and the menu shows PICTURES. Not many sushi places do that, you have to go by the description. This is a nice touch for sure, and helped us make our decisions. We did the seaweed salad and green tea first. Yum. Nice portion too. Then the plate (see picture) has: Shrimp Tempura Crunch Roll, Jalapeno Spicy Tuna Roll (our fav, with fresh Jalapeno), Catepillar Roll and Shrimp and Lobster Roll. The service is friendly and attentive, yet polite, not in your face. I honestly cannot wait to go back and try more!! A friend on Twitter pointed out that they have an "all-you-can-eat-sushi" option at lunch. I'll have to ask about that! ;-) UPDATE: We've been back several times for sushi here and have always taken advantage of the "All-You-Can-Eat" option. Please note; with that option, when you have leftovers on the plate, they charge you $1 per piece!! It's funny because this evening we got REALLY FULL really early and couldn't finish....and I said to Amy, "This other place with an all-you-can-eat option charges you if you don't finish" and sure enough, we kind of received some attitude from the waitress when we told her we were done. I agree- it is shameful to waste, but we truly had no idea we'd become so full so quickly. So- buyer beware, the sushi here is spectacular, seriously, just be careful ordering on the All-You-Can-Eat option. ;-)
So, I have waited a long time to rate this restaurant, simply because early on, I wasn't sure which way I (or they) were going to go. It was very hit or miss as to the food when they first opened, but they seem to have found their stride and are quite consistent now. I find the rolls to be good and nice sized. I have asked on multiple occasions for the sushi chef to "surprise" me with something new. He never disappoints. Prices are decent, although they have increased recently. As long as I am not in a hurry, this is my local sushi place to go to. Small and cozy. I am a fan!
They only have one type of soy sauce, no low sodium (which I'm used to). There was a fly in the restaurant, and in a very cold October makes me nervous. It landed on my sons food twice (so he had to sacrifice two pieces of sushi). The rolls were different than I have ever had. They were a lot more expensive than Jurin, which is just down the road, and has much better tasting sushi. That being said, my husband, who is not a sushi fan, ordered the New York steak roll and liked it very much. He was pleased with his meal. In the end, my review is that while the owners are a very nice couple, the sushi didn't cut it for me. Jurin will be my next sushi experience in the area.
