Jeff, the manager did the right thing ...My wife and toddler son and I went to chilis for dinner on a Saturday night - a rare night out with family- we got our regular items...the chicken ranch quesadillas, Mac n cheese and queso - all were as good as usual - I strayed from my routine and got the new prime rib tacos - the waitress mentioned that not a lot of People had ordered them yet cause their new, but no one had complained ..,well they weren't great - there was good sauce but the meat was generic - the waitress saw that I didn't eat a lot it and I mentioned that I didn't like it and the manager came over and was sympathetic and removed it from our bill - which these days is not always done - he was very willing to make it right and for that reason we will continue to go to chilis - because the management staff does what it takes to keep the customers happy Wes k age 35

Always a good time, good food, good service. The 2 for $20 is a great value, or you can get two select cocktails and do 2 for $35. The two for's includes an appetizer for two, two entrees, and a dessert. My family loves the ribs, the cajun pasta, the sirloin steaks which are always cooked to perfection, and the loaded mashed potatoes! I can only eat like this every once in a while, but when I do, it's often Chili's! Also, if you're a chocolate lover, the molten lava cake is a must!

I've been here twice and this place gets 4 starts because the service is good, the food is good enough, and it's something to do before a movie.

Would give it zero stars if I could. Drinks were made horribly, food was soup kitchen status and the service wasn't much better. I used to work at Chilis, im not sure what happened or if it's just this location but DISSATISFIED at the very least.

Bad experience, went on a slow Monday afternoon. Host didn't greet us till 12 mins later. He didn't really greet us because he didn't say anything, just looked at us. I said hi and asked if we can have a booth ,He pointed to the bar. He walked us to a table. I said booth please. He walked to a booth and pointed, still not saying a word and left. We sat there for another 10- 14 mins and the waiter came. At least he was friendly but sadly slow and would disappear. This place is ether understaffed or they need to re trained their help. Just awful. The food finally came and that was the only good thing about this place. The waiter forgot our fries but he disappeared and we were done with our meal by the time he showed his face. He didn't give me my sugar for my Ice tea till 2o mins later. Seriously?? Wow

I've been to this Chili's many times over the years. I was always so-so on this place. Service is usually pretty friendly, food is fine and generally comes out pretty quick, and there's usually pretty ample parking. However, when I went there last Thursday, I had a terrible experience. Really, what it comes down to is that we were blatantly lied to, in the hopes of getting our business. Let me explain. I had decided to meet a friend at the Buffalo Wild Wings in the same mall. When I arrived there, I was told the wait would be an hour. An hour wait? On a random Thursday night? No thanks. Before we even moved the car an inch to drive somewhere else, my friend called Chili's to see what their wait time was like. No wait at all, we were told. Come right in! That worked for us. We drove over to Chili's (which is maybe a block-ish from Buffalo Wild Wings, MAYBE). We arrived there no more than 2 minutes after the call was made. We walked in, and saw a ton of people waiting to be seated. What? How could that be? My friend walked up to the host, who was CLEARLY the gentleman who had answered the call, and asked to be seated. He told her there was a 15-20 minute wait. I'm sorry, what?!?! She told him that she had just called, and even showed him her cell phone call log. She even asked if he was the person she spoke with. He had no answers and just kept saying there was a 15-20 minute wait. We were pretty ticked off, to say the least. We would have been way more understanding if he had at least apologized for the miscommunication, or even during the phone call, told us about the wait and offered to put our name on the wait list ahead of our arrival. He did neither and tried to really undermine our intelligence. After the whole confrontation, another woman who was waiting came and asked us if we had been told there was no wait (I guess she overheard the conversation). We said yes, and she told us that they had done the same thing to her. She had a bigger problem than we did though, as she was calling to confirm no wait time because she had a child with special needs who would not handle the wait time well. To avoid a meltdown, she had called to assure her family could come in and sit to eat right away. She said they had been waiting for about 10 minutes, and her husband had taken their child out of the restaurant so as to avoid behaviors from the child during the long wait time. I'm sorry, but this is just wholly and completely unacceptable. Chili's, don't have your host lie to customers about the wait. There's no excuse for it. I will not be back to this location again.

We arrived around 9pm and you can imagine on a Thursday, it was not very crowded. But, that didn't reflect our dining experience as we repeatedly waited for the waitress to service our table. Food was blah. Service was even more blah. The only positive experience was the young lady who actually brought out our food (not the actual waitress). She was very pleasant and the only reason this review will get any stars..

I was here about 5 months ago, and now just got a chance to leave a review here, me and my wife we got an order of texas fries, but what we had at this location it had the same look but horrible taste !! potatoes where so old that I can not explain the smell and taste! other than a bad food I spoke to a manager who told me if you are not happy you could leave!!! so I would recommend if you want to have some good food, good night out, and relax do not go here, I wasted my night here and could not eat anything after what I experienced there!!!

Coming to this Chili's is always a hit or miss sometimes... I came here on Friday night. as to be expected it was extremely packed the wait time was about 45 mins... YESSSS.... I KNOW I did wait I was already there and considering driving to another place and waiting a little there is about the same experience. I assume the man working the front seating and greeting the customers was the General Manager or maybe the shift manager that night. I will say he was friendly and did greet everyone and asked your preference of dining table, which was appreciated and he gave us the expected wait time which was 45. He was also nice enough to let us know that the bar was first come first serve if a table came available we would just have to wait to for some one to clean it. Once we were seated we were browsing the menu for quite some time before some one even came to tell us they were our waiter. We already knew what we wanted to eat for appetizer and dinner. Took him a bit to come with our drinks. We received our appetizer first which... THANK THE GODS OF FOOD lol.. Because I was starving.. We ordered a trio sampler with egg rolls, wings and little burgers all of it was pretty .. I must say the wings were delicious tho they stood out the most to me. For my main course I got a 60z steak medium rare with mashed and veggies. OF COURSE I LOVED THE MASHED POTATOES the steak was okay wasn't bad but I've had better. Overall the FOOD portion of our night wasn't bad. But the Waiter was just not attentive food came out served and he was really gone for most of the night.. and to this day I'm being made fun of for leaving an "over generous" tip for a crappy service. Will I come back??... I'm sure eventually but I'm not going out of my way anytime soon.

I wouldn't eat there again if it was free. Buffalo chicken salad was inedible. We sat in a booth near the carry out, there was an unpleasant odor coming from somewhere. Our server was great, too bad the food was so bad.

Came here on a Saturday evening with my friends and it was a long wait at least 30 minutes. Service was ok the food was good also. My first drink I didn't ready taste the alcohol but the second was on point. After We got the bill had to wait and flag the waiter down to come and get Bill but otherwise I will come back. .

This is my go to place ! I love their service all of the staff is very friendly and even though they are very busy for the most part they never take forever to get anything to the table. I love their burgers and pastas. Their mango ice tea sometimes can be a hit or miss but overall I enjoy coming here with my family.

In the restaurant as I write this. It took over 20 minutes for our soup to arrive at the table. After finishing the soup it took another 20 minutes for our entrées to arrive. After the entrées arrived we noticed we had no silverware and as the manager walked by I asked him for a refill on my drink and silverware so we could begin eating and the manager gave me an attitude. Instead of the manager getting us our silverware and drink refills he had our waiter get it which took another 5 minutes. In short, i love the food but the service was exceptionally horrible today and it reminds me why I don't frequent Chili's.

Great service usually but I don't suggest going here on a holiday . The service seems a lot more rushed on holidays it seems like servers want to get people in and out...overall not the best experience I have had in a restaurant

It us annoying to show up at a restaurant to see a line when half the tables are open. Bad bad management. Terrible use of space. And just lazy staff not getting people to their tales

Me and my family are regulars here. The staff is super friendly and the food it good. I give them 4stars only because the food is good, just not great. Good place for the family gatherings and quick dinners.

I don't review a lot of chains, because I don't find there to be a huge variation between them. This one is not like all the others. Normally, Chili's is fine- a crowd pleaser with a lot of options on the menu, decent prices, big tables and good for groups, and inexpensive booze. We came here around 10 on a Saturday night while on the way home from the airport. We were a party of 5 and wanted to have dinner and drinks and relax. We were seated in the corner at a table for 6- great. Then our waiter showed up, and the night went downhill from there. He was totally absent minded, and it took FOREVER to get our food. When we wanted to order another round of drinks (hello?! Isn't that like money in your pocket, waiter friend?), he was nowhere to be found. We flagged down another waitress, but she actually refused to put in the order herself, even though we were happy to show ID again or find our actual waiter. So we didn't wind up ordering more drinks. Once the waiter did return, we got the checks, and they were not correct. He fixed them without complaint, but he completely ignored us after that, even though we stayed for at least 15 more minutes (the restaurant was pretty empty, and it was not closing soon). Avoid.

Had excellent service from Booker last night. He was energetic and attentive. Every single seat in the restaurant was filled but our service was not compromised at all. My son has very serious dairy allergies and they provide a a dairy free or allergy specialty menu and there were no issues in regards to how our food was prepared. My boyfriend and I split the 2 for $20 and used a coupon so our son could eat free. So it was price effective and everyone went home happy and full, not much more you can ask for when it comes to casual chain restaurants. I'll be back to this Chili's as opposed to the one in downtown Evanston.

Used to come here a lot. Then the place gets jam packed and food not so great. I prefer the location in Rosemont, IL. The food is fresher there and its never crowded.

After a long break from here due to the downhill spiral of their food, I gave them another chance. Amongst other things, I ordered a baked potato soup, NO BACON or green onions. I went to pick up the food, and drove home 20 minutes in rush hour, only to find they put bacon in the soup. Huge deal. Not okay when you're a vegetarian. Final straw. If you have moral/religious reasons why you don't eat a particular food, or if you have food allergies, i would seriously give going somewhere else a second and third thought.

Yeah, I'm writing a review of a Chili's. I live in the city and don't get up to Skokie often. I was at the Village Crossing theater, and since someone had given me a gift card I wanted to use up, I placed a to-go order to pick up after the movie. They forgot part of my order, and when I returned to get it (I realized it was missing when I was about 10 minutes away from the restaurant), I didn't even get an apology. I got a smirk and a snarky attitude, and that really, really rubbed me the wrong way. I was annoyed enough to mutter something about not even getting an apology for the inconvenience. So I got another smirk and two employees chuckling at me as I left. I made the manager aware of the situation, since after I got back in my car I was pissed enough to call the restaurant. He was extremely apologetic but also sounded like he's heard this kind of stuff before. I'm not usually a "let me talk to the manager" kind of customer -- I've worked in customer service positions in the past and don't like being that person -- but the people at the pick-up counter were rude, and I have zero tolerance for that. The missing item wasn't even why I was upset; I was upset at the lack of an apology and being laughed at as I walked out. I will say that the manager was decent, as was the woman who answered the phone when I called to let the restaurant know I'd left without receiving an item. But I can't recommend that anyone use the to-go service.

Been coming here for years and usually have no problems. But today everyone was getting seated before we did even though we got there first. Over 1hr wait. I get it, it's Friday and there's heavy traffic, but don't make promises you can't keep; kept getting told we'd be seated next. No biggie, we left and got seated immediately at Red Robin. Okay, rant complete, I'm just venting cause I'm hungry hahaha!

Just went to this restaurant. Chili's only gets two stars because their appetizers and water are good. Their entries were meh, and beyond. My wife's burger was "nothing to write home about." She ate half of it. On mine, Chicken/Beef/Shrimp trio. When server brought it to my table, the burned food smell was heavy. As I prod it throughout, I found the bell peppers were stacked to the dish, burnt char black, giving that awful bad smell. That the cook would send such dish to his customer is not only unprofessional, but highly disrespectful. Upon the food arriving to my table, I told the server "oops," something got burned-dish clearly smelled it when she brought it. The green and red peppers were stuck to the hot plate-burned black and the burn stench was heavy. first cook's black eye, I had to send the dish back. When dish was brought back, presentation went out the door, dish looked all messy, second black eye for the cook. Some shrimps were not deveined, the steak was hard and beyond well done, tough as leather as a matter of fact. I asked the beef to be medium rare, and the chicken lacked flavor. Third black eye. Monday's cook is no cook at all! If I know anything about Chili's, is that they are known for spicing things up. I just had to bring my dish home to fix it, as it was sent to me, it was not worth eating. On a second thought, two stars are one too many. I do have to give credit to the manager for trying to make things right, I declined because of TV shows I have watched; such as cooks adding spit or buggers. The food was bad enough, I did not want my dish "bugger" flavored. This experience is what drives customers away, I am never going back. Three black eyes-and you are out!

Delicious spinach artichoke with chip and salsa start from Carlos C, got us off on the right foot. Burgers and fries were just as good always, but sadly no room for the great looking deserts. Will gladly come back. Nice staff and food, a great mix.

The food is good, the downfall is their service in the to go department. I ordered a side salad and a soup and they told me to come get it in 10 minutes. I get there a little after 10 minutes and I still had to stand there an additional 10 minutes just to get a salad and soup. Very slow service if you ask me.

I came in to this restaurant with my husband and family. To make the story short, the waiter broth someting different of what he ordered. To top it off, the salad that my husband decided to eat anyway was kind of yellowish, so ge decided to talk to the manager named Rose WAlker, who shouted at my husband , this is not the first time, you have complained!!. I was amazed, because this was our second time, on this restaurant in a year. So i asked her howmany times she had saw us in this restaurant?, and Ms. Walker, responded, l even saw you too!!!! Ms. Walker, the manager started shoutong; yes!!, you have been here with a different hairstyle. I considere this being a bully act, . She lack of people skills, and has a paranoid behavior.

Wow, what's with all the neutral to negative reviews about this place? My mom and I came here and all I had to say was how great the service was and the food too. We ordered the 35 dollar special. I won't explain the details of it because of so many reviews. I'm sure they know about it and gave it a bad rating. But to those who don't know about it. I'll tell you anyways. It's a choice of a shared appetizer, 2 entrees, 2 top shelf margaritas and a shared dessert. So overall everything was awesome and I would definitely come back to this location.

Terrible restaurant. Never get carry out. The chicken was really raw. The fries were all cold. I picked up my food and drive home. Went back to complain and they gave me "fresh" food back. At least they have me a refund and food back. Their service isn't bad at all. Their cooks are the problem, and are hurting their business. This used to be the best Chilis back in the day (like six years ago). If you want to go to a Chilis with good, well cooked, food go to Evanston or Barrington.

Today was my first sunday off work in months,so me and my husband decided to go to chilis were we have gone several times before.we got there around1p.m. we were greeted by a young man with no personality he sat us at the smallest table in the place. Then the waiter Darius comes to the tables ask if we want drinks my husband ordered a triple berry margarita I got ice water we also ordered the triple sampler. we get the drinks then we placed our order which was the fajatas for two. Time goes by and the waiter brings the sides that come with the fajatas then a couple minutes later the fajatas come.I ask the waiter weres are appetizer he looks at us like he was stoned out of his mind and said wow j didnt no you ordered that. And on top of it he only brought us fajatas for one which let me tell you was all onions. At this point I just wanted the hell out of there. You would think he would of apologized and ask if we wanted something else or if he could correct his mistakes but he didnt. So we ate the fajatas I mean the plate of onions and the waiter never even check back we had to hunt him down for the bill. This would of been a good time to start dine and dashing. I paid the bill and was not leaving a tip but when the waiter stands there with his hand out you feel obligated. When we left I wanted to complain but that same unfriendly host was still at the door .So I think from now on il take a pass on going to chilies because there service really went to the dogs......Oh big thing when he brought us the plates after the food sat there for ten minutes he carried the plates with his fingers all over were I put my food damn I dont no were those finger have been thats just totally nasty.I dont know if he has dry skin and left it on my plate were I eat from.I dont know about everyone elas but I dont like pissey fingers on my plate.....sorry........One more thing the little computer on table costs a 1.99 to look at which I was not told I dont mind paying but damn they should tell you..Idiots .I will be calling your corporate office also...

It was my first time at Chili's ...I can't say enough that the service, food and beverages were outstanding...I had the 8.00 create your own enchiladas with rice and beans...and they were delicious...I told out waitress every thing was great and that I was sure to return with my family...Thanks for the excellent service...

Dessert! Really just that one word sums up why to come here. What happened to our go to family restaurant? They changed the menu and the food they do have just isn't as good. They seem to have opted more for the quick hit bar food, rather than a sit down family restaurant. The best thing here is the warm fresh tortilla chips and really good desserts. They may not have a large dessert menu but they do have some of the best desserts of any fast food or chain restaurants.

Decent Restaurant. No different than most. Had the margarita deal with their 2 for $20. Sat in the bar area, pretty solid for a average Wednesday night

When I'm out with Jason, we like sitting in the bar area. We prefer the booth for 2 along the perimeter by the window sill. This is because the table itself is small. The ledge displaces the clutter which gives us more square footage for food and drink. Jason's favorite dish is the Trio Fajitas so there's no chance we'll ever agree on saving a few dollars by ordering one of their 2 for $20 or 2 for $35 couple meal deals. I ordered their New Chicken Club Quesadillas. I didn't need to order a side of guacamole for $.99 because it's already included in my dish. Someone should come by and clear our table while we're eating. They gave us refills but didn't bother taking our empty glasses and a fajita platter comes with multiple plates; things started to accumilate quickly, leaving us with little room to eat comfortably. It was not until we were ready for dessert that we were given a fresh start with a clear table! We weren't able to agree on what to share so we ordered the Brownie Sundae accompanied by Molten Chocolate Cake.

The first time my family and I went to Chili's it was about 5 weeks ago at dinner time and everything was absolutely ah-mazing! The food was great and the service better! We even spoke to the manager about our great service. Unfortunately, the last time we went was about 3 weeks ago and it was completely opposite from our first experience. The server, John(?) just did not take very good care of us, took forever bringing us drink refills and a couple of times I had to send my daughter to a station to grab extra napkins and condiments. The rolled silverware was dirty with dried food stuck to it and they tried to cram a large family of four into a tiny corner table. Very disappointing after such a great first experience.....

I've been coming to this Chili's Restaurant for years. It's my go-to for lunch, dinner, or drinks. I come here at least once a week. I used to come here for dinner, but lately we've been coming here for lunch. The bar area is pretty great because of the no-wait time for a table. The tables are pretty small, but the waitresses usually delay our orders so we have time to finish each meal so our table isn't bombarded with food. Sunday through Thursday is their happy hour special with $3.99 traditional margaritas. I usually get the 2 for $20 dinners. Lately, I've been ordering the chicken fajitas, which are awesome! If you sign up for their e-mail list, you get coupons every week for either a free appetizer or free dessert, which is probably why we are there every week. The waitress in the bar area is pretty good with our order, and since we are becoming regulars, she always has an idea of what we are going to order! This place gets very busy at night and especially during the weekends, which is why I enjoy going during lunch time.

I know, it's a Chili's, right. And a Chili's is a Chili's. Except not always. I've been to some pretty bad ones and this one is ok. Not my favorite place to eat but there are worse things. Plus, it's convenient. It can definitely get crowded at dinner time, any night of the week. But it's got a nice big bar space where there are usually open tables (at least on weeknights). Decent number of healthy options on the menu, you just have to look for them (and not give into the temptation of all of the gooey, cheesy yummy sounding calorie traps). And while it's definitely a family restaurant, my experiences haven't involved too many screaming children, which is a big plus in my book. Lots of parking and if the wait is too long there are other options nearby.

Chilis is a regular for me and my boyfriend. We love to eat here, and the 2 for $20 deal is great. We came here on our one year anniversary even. The food has been excellent every time, the drinks are tasty and inexpensive, and we are always satisfied when we leave. The jalapeño and onion strings is my favorite appetizer, and when doing the 2 for $20 my usual entree is the chicken bacon quesadilla. One time when we ate here the appetizer came late after the entree, and they were very nice about it and gave the appetizer free for the inconvenience. The staff is always warm and friendly, and we always enjoy ourselves there.

Not entirely sure about the lukewarm review for this Chili's location previously posted. My past experiences have been mostly positive. Like any popular place, this restaurant has its peak hours and this is where the seating process appears loose and doesn't seat parties in order (regardless of number of persons). If you're coming in by yourself or with another person, I strongly recommend self-seating at the bar. Have had fantastic service here, particularly with Jason (one of the bartenders). Food comes fast and drinks are quickly refilled.

I have an intestinal disorder so my meals have to modified quite a bit. I understand that can be hard on the server, so I never fuss when I have to send a meal back or something gets screwed up. But lately, the wait staff here are almost in la-la land when taking your order because nothing comes back correct, even after the 3RD TIME! It got to the point where the manager had to come to our table and apologize for the mess up and that the "new" 4th plate of food is coming out. This has happened more than once as well.

Got food poisoning from chicken fajitas. It tasted like a cleaning chemical used in the cooking process. Threw up about twenty minutes later, and concerned about health violations. Eat at your own risk. The most awful food experience in my life.

Our server and bartender, Matthew, was more interested in talking to his friend at the other end of the bar than serving us. We were the only two others at the bar. It took forever to get the water we wanted and even longer to place our order. When the food came, the was all dried out and the fries tasted like they had been fried twice. When Matthew did come over to check in on us, he asked if everything was good I said no and he just walked away. I won't be going back!

Not to try to repeat what I've written for the Evanston location, I usually go to this particular location for lunch. If time permits, I'll go to the theater that's on Carpenter. I have no complaints about the lunch service times or friendliness of the staff. I usually sit in the bar and lounge area, and can get in and out within 30 minutes. If you've seen the special on the Food Network that goes into detail about how restaurants like Chili's have such a consistent tasting menu nation-wide, you'll know how they do it. All sauces, condiments, and foods come pre-portioned or come in containers by weight. 6 shrimp, two scoops of garlic butter emulsion, a package of veggies, some pasta, etc. gives you consistent seafood pasta. It's not a surprise that they would do this, nor is this a particularly bad approach. The drink specials at Chili's are also attractive. More often than not, I stick with their beer specials. It's fairly easy to understand: 3 and 4 dollar regular sized drafts, and 4 and 5 dollar large sized drafts. The regular sized drafts are more than sufficiently sized, but it's always nice to drink a couple of the larger ones when transportation home is pre-arranged.

My boyfriend and I have been going to Chili's restaurant for quite some time. One of my favorite things to order is the 2 for $20. I love their Texas cheese fires and the skillet queso. My boyfriend always get's their honey chipotle crispy chicken crispers and a loaded mash potatoes. Both of us love going there but, the reason why i give them a 4 and not 5 is because there were a few times when we had to wait for the table and for the waiter to give our check. Other than that, I highly recommend them to anyone.

On Sunday night 12/23/12 my husband and myself decided to try something new, we figured we had never been to chili's grill and bar and agreed to try it. The experience was horrible from the food to the management. In my order I specifically asked for a diet coke and a burger with no onions not only did I get a regular coke ( the person is diabetic) but I also got onions on my burger. I brought this up to my server, I asked him for a new burger since I know we make mistakes, this time he got my burger right but forgot my fries. The poor guy seem lost in his own job so my next step was to talk to the manager. This guy is a really rude individual, he failed to introduce himself and was confused when I extended my hand to shake his hand. I started to complain about the situation and his facial expressions revealed his non caring attitude. Matt the manager on duty that night right away told me I had to pay for everything that was on my table. I didn't mind paying for the appetizers and drinks since we did eat and drank those but I refused to pay for something I didn't eat the burgers. He continued on and charged me anyway, I paid because maybe he thought that I was looking for any excuse to get a free meal. The point of the matter is that this manager and his crew is not properly trained. Matt and your server I forgot to tip you so here: 1.Learn how to do your job. 2. Matt maybe if you had a friendly face I would have stood to eat the burger 3.Matt you should really work on your customer service.

This Saturday afternoon, this place was a zoo. Scratch that, a zoo would have been a better place to sit down and grab a bite to eat. The people all seemed to be obnoxious, terribly rude and inconsiderate. Once getting seated, we were abandoned. About 5 servers passed by us and completely ignored us. Fifteen minutes after sitting down, I'd had enough. We should have at least been given water and someone to tell us that they'd be with us at some point in the near future. I've never outright just left a restaurant like I did on Saturday but this time it was completely justified.

Nachos are amazing with cheese some brown sauce some jalapenos some quacamole and some sour cream. However, the last time I was here, they had some gross chicken on the nachos with no quacamole. The margaritas are definately at the top of the pyramid and the molten lava dessert cake is something that just melts in your mouth. It's so soft and hot on the inside while its hard and cold on the outside. Inconsistent, but it's worth take the risk because when they get it right, it's right on.

Overall Chili's is an all right restaurant. I usually order one of their burger entrees, last time I ordered the burger with mushrooms and swiss. Burger was cooked to my liking, which I was asked and said medium. Fries were, okay. And service here was good. Overall, good food, good service, okay prices. Will definitely return in the future whenever in the neighborhood.

I've been through here a couple times recently, something I'm not proud of. Trying to eat "better" lately. At the times I assumed it was a good plan since Chili's like so many other chains are running these specials; 2 entrees + 1 dessert & appetizer for $20. Sounds like a great penny pinching deal, but the food works your mechanisms to ruin. I think the food they use for the specials are pumped with extra cholesterol, MSG, butter and anything that adds more fat. After having two meals off the special price menu, soon after consumption I felt lazy, tired, bloated and uncomfortable. Both times I didn't finish the meal and while I did pack it to go, I ended up throwing it away. My feelings were, if I went through them again I would suffer with the ill feelings all over. Both times I ate at the restaurant so I had the appetizer and dessert also. I would think they probably add more butter and such to make you feel full. These combos are a lot of food. The dessert both times were much too sweet to consume alone and since these times I'd eaten with friends that were "dieting" I ended up trying all alone. Failure both times. Service at this location is hit or miss, slow, thoughtless serving the first time and then "excellent-I-plan on sharing this experience with management" type during the second visit. Once I went in the early afternoon and the other at night, both times the restaurant was hella busy and at night the bar was crowded. Over the last decade this location has done well with repeat business or just being busy at all times. Parking is shared since its located within a strip mall, but you can definitely get a good spot most anytime.

I love Chilis and while the service seems to be declining a bit, I will continue frequenting this place because of the great Chips and Queso, Boneless Buffalo Wings and Molten Lava Cake. I've been to this restaurant entirely too many times to comment on each individual trip but I do recommend sitting in the bar area as I've had more attentive service than in the dining room section, and the bar waitress, Bertha, is great.

Twice in two years I have gotten sick from the food here. This last one was the last straw. I had heard that the food had changed so I decided to give it one more try and no dice. I went on Good Friday. The food is NOT FRESH! It's frozen and reheated. My daughter's food came with frozen broccoli, my mom's plate had cold beans and rice and my daughter's order was wrong the first time with burnt meat. My mom got sick later that night and through the next day. The time before I went I had ordered the chicken fritters and it was RAW and the 2nd time around it was still RAW. They take no pride in their cooking.

First time ever eating at a Chili's. Food was decent but not worth the price IMO. There were a few gross pieces of lettuce in the salad and they also put a lot of cheese in the salad even though we asked for none due to a dairy allergy. We had a good server though, attentive and nice. Chili's is one of those normal franchise restaurants but this location let me down. :(

It's a Chili's, what do you expect? The food here is good. I actually really enjoy eating at Chili's because I dont think I have ever really had a bad meal. I had a grilled chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese - it was awesome! Andmy friend I was with had some insane BBQ Burger with Bacon and cheese - which literally was almost bigger then her head. I tried it, and my heart thanked me for its greasy goodness. Service is a little iffy at times, but again, its a chain that can get pretty busy. Great place to stop though right before you see a movie at the Village Crossing Theatre.

The food is fine when I come to this chili's but if the customer service was as good as the food they would be great. Unfornately the service sucks everytime I go here I keep saying I'm gonna give them another chance and yet they prove me right everytime. The waiters especially the females are just unfriendly and one thing I cant stand about a restaurant is being served by someone with an attitude. I dont think I'm gonna give them anymore chances 3 strikes is ENOUGH!!!!

I love me some Chili's! I am a HUGE lover of steak and Chili's is one of my favorite places to chew one down. FLAME-GRILLED RIBEYE is usually my choice of entrée. I like it either medium or medium well depending on what location. The side orders are fantastic... mmmm, mash potatoes... FYI, I have tried almost everything on the menu so let me tell you that everything on the menu is de-li-cious! If you are a rib fan then I strongly recommend you try the Baby Back Ribs! Chili's Baby Back Ribs... With BBQ Sauce!!! Sorry I couldn't resist They are a little stingy with the sauce [Original, Habanero, Honey BBQ, Memphis Dry Rub, Brown Sugar Chile Rub or Honey-Chipotle] so if you like you ribs soaked you should let you waiter/waitress known. The drinks are good and if you like a Margarita then you MUST HAVE one, replace the Cuervo with a nice tequila, I recommend Patron. The service is great! Everyone is friendly and they really try hard to make you visit a good one! The prices are also very reasonable! A lot of parking so I just can't see a reason why you can not at least give this place a shot.

After hitting an early movie and looking for a late Dinner, or the opposite, Chili's is the place to go! Great Food, great people pricing is good as well!!! If you go on a weekend prepare to wait, but its not that bad unless you have a party of seven!! lol but for you and a friend, its perfect great job!!

PRESIDENTE MARGARITA!!! Mmmmmm...... this was the best part of my meal. This is a chain, and the food is pretty much the same at every location. I had a combo of ribs and grilled shrimp; not great, but edible. Our server was nice, and when I told her it was my mom's birthday, she brought over her dessert with a group of servers to sing. My mom loved it. I wouldn't, but that's just me. Not much else to say, except we were in and out pretty quickly.

This particular Chili's is probably the best one I've visited for service which is why I mention it. I've been here quite a few times and the service is always really good. I was there the other night and I ended up getting checked on more times than I could count. I'm not normally all about writing on the normal-ish restaurants or anything, but the thing about Chili's is that they're probably the high end in my opinion of the normal-ish restaurants. That is to say that I would prefer it to an applebee's or a TGI fridays. I also learned that you can get a GOOD steak dinner (food was just perfect medium well) for the same price as you can a fajita plate (which too are absolutely filling and delicious.) The last fajita plate I got here was the Buffalo chicken one, it was good, but re-heated like all of their fajitas, not very good. Also, the onions they serve with the chicken on the skillet are really strange tasting, and personally I think there are better mixes.

Boo this chili's i happen to have a soft spot for chili's..but no more!! It so happens that we were in the area (the chili's of choice is in the loop) and we decided to stop in for one of their uh-mazing salads and o course the bottomless chips and salsa. During the course of our meal....we were ignored by the waiter..we waited forever for our food.....and we never quite got our chips and salsa... oh yeah and we had to leave out money on the table because we never actually managed to get the waiters attention for long enough to get a bill.... The absolute saddest part of all......it wasn't even busy when we went...there were approximately 12 tables open in OUR area.... Consumers beware when going to this chilis..the service sucks and the meal was strangely unfulfilling!!

Chili's is a typical chain restaurant. Decent service, always crowded on weekends, and good (but not great) food. I feel kind of bad for their servers, because I usually head over here with a ton of people. Loud people. Obnoxious people. We probably make their lives hell, so I make sure that there's a good gratuity on our bill. They seem to take it all in stride, though, so I give them a great deal of credit. I've had some bad meals at Chili's, unfortunately, so I couldn't bear to give them a higher rating than three stars. Overcooked, cold, underseasoned... Yeah, they were not the best. But their portabella and steak fajitas are undeniably tasty. Come here after seeing a movie at Crown with your friends. Order some Tex-Mex food. Don't expect much, and you'll be content. By the way, they don't take reservations. However, you CAN call in your name ahead of time if it's busy. They'll put you on the list.

I wasn't a big fan of Chili's because of a past experience. However, My husband and I decided it to give it another try (because Outback Steakhouse was closed at the time). From the moment We walked through the door til the moment we left. the customer service was spectacular and the food of so scrumptious!! I ordered a rib eye steak, loaded potatoes and corn on the cob. It was SOOOOOO good!! To top it off I had a delicious strawberry lemonade drink from the bar. I never had such a greater experience with Chilis until now! I can't wait to go back there to try there other food! This Chili's is by far the best in the city!

Chili's is one of those restaurants where you say "Well, we can always go to Chili's if there's nothing else." What Chili's is, is serviceable. You can pretty much be certain to get a decent, party sort of drink (for which, read: sweetish, fruity and gimmicky), food that hits all the right notes for seasoning and texture (read: reliant upon salt and fat) and a fast enough turnover that even when there are half a million people waiting at the entrance, the wait for a table isn't usually overwhelming. This Chili's is no exception to those rules. They're big with fun food, finger food and comfort food. You could make a whole meal on their trendy appetizers, and while nothing will be exceptional, everything will at least satisfy the itch for a lot of flavor. I see that a lot of people are saying that service here sucks, but I've been here a number of times and haven't noticed anything of the sort. Take that FWIW. I feel as if I'm damning this place with faint praise, so I will say that I think their burgers are really good, and their portions are huge. I also like the dessert shot concept which gives you half a dozen bites of little confections, and are just enough after your ginormous meal. Chili's is Chili's. This place is no exception. Your basic, couple-steps-above-fast-food restaurant.

I have been coming to this Chili's location for as long as I can remember. My friends and I find this to be one of our primo meeting places to catch up with each other, eat and have fun. The restaurant has a great atmosphere. It can get a very crowded on the weekends, but I feel it is worth the wait! Whether you want a great burger or quesadillas, they have something for everyone.

Yesterday I had an awful experience at this place. So ,since it was Saturday we were given the beeper thing beccause all the tables were filled. We were told that our wait would be from 15-25 minutes. We went back to the car which was really close to the door, after 30 minutes passed we went back in and the hostess said that our table was called 15 minutes ago and they" looked for us"....apparently they forgot to "page" us.We got seated Right by the kitchen..I don't understand why any restaurant would have seats THAt close to the kitchen but I could basically see the chefs cooking and sometimes the food BURNED and I had to smell it.Our appetizer was great we had the trio of mini hamburgers, mini chicken sandwiches, and hot chicken strips..This was NOT enough food for the price but it was good. The drink menu was typical of this type of chain.I had a Jamaican something and it was good. My date ordered chicken pasta and I ordered half rack original ribs, half garlic lime shrimp W/black beans and loaded mashed potatoes.....Most of it was gross and My food was COLD..WTF?..I was RIGHT by the kitchen.I usually take half my food home when I go out but WOW...how can you mess up ribs..and aren't ribs supposed to be BBQ'd not baked?I want to give one star but my appetizer and drink were good so I gave 2,but I will never go here again.

On 10/25/08, I ordered the following item on the menu: GUILTLESS CHICKEN PLATTER Grilled chicken breast with rice, sweet corn on the cob and steamed seasonal veggies w/Parmesan cheese. I was partially done with my plate, I started eating my steamed veggies until I saw a thin 1/2" worm/maggot in my food. I was so disgusted I immediately called a manager. I pointed into my plate, he immediately said this was unacceptable and took my plate immediatetly after seeing the maggot. I immediately used the ladies room and induced vomiting as I was feeling so disgusted with the overall experience at Chili's. The manager offered me a VIP coupon for my next visit but it was really a $5 discount coupon. I gave it back to him and said "Thank you but no thank you", I will never come back to Chili's Restaurant ever again.

Chili's is dependable. I actually prefer eating at Chili's Too! at the airport, but that's because the service is super quick. At this location, the wait is a world of hurt. I recently went to the downtown Chili's and guess what? No wait on a Saturday at 8pm. Some notables: The queso is a bit on the beany side. I'm always happy with their burgers. Buffalo Chicken sandwich is a safe bet as well. Also, if you are on a date, there is no need to impress by ordering the most expensive dish. The Return on Taste (ROT) diminishes after you pass the $12 mark per entree.

Went here for lunch with my mom today. Standard chain restaurant but with a new selection of burgers that were really good. Well I mean the apple bacon some special kinda cheddar was really good. My mom went with a new all you can eat soup salad and chips/salsa that had really cheesy broccoli cheddar soup, too cheesy actually. Service was okay, nothing to rip on but nothing to holla about either.

Had to wait a long while to sit down, which blew me away, cause after all I was at Chili's. But the food is solid. 3 words to live by, MOLTEN LAVA CAKE. I say God damn that shite is good!!!

  • Nidia A.

The food here is pretty good. I've always been happy with what I order. Their sirloin is too good for words and their loaded mashed potatoes. Oh man. I ask for a double serving! Their burgers are great and huge and their fries complement them perfectly. The staff is very friendly, however the wait has ALWAYS been at least half an hour even during the week. Our longest wait was over an hour. That tends to get annoying esp since the waiting area for tables tends to get pretty cramped.

I like Chili's though I think the food quality has gone down a bit within the past 5 years. The margaritas are good. I love the southwestern eggrolls for an appetizer, I lived by the country fried steak but it wasn't as good as I remembered it last time I had it. The mashed potatoes are great and so is the corn on the cob that comes with it (and the gravy!). I also like the margarita grilled chicken. This particular Chili's has great service - Johnny is a really great server - we got free chips and salsa too. The molten lava cake is one of the best desserts I have ever had - I would go back just for this. I usually don't have room to eat it though.

Located in a mini mall so plenty of parking! Great food and service. My fave dishes include the chicken quesidillas and the fajitas. Reasonable prices and attractive waitstaff. Usually busy so be prepared to wait 30-min or so on the weekends.

I love spicy food...so Chili's is great for me. Their Shrimp pasta is really tasty, with just the right amount of spice. A great, casual place to have a meal. The service is quick and friendly and it is a fun place to be.

The food at Chili's is pretty good. I love the enchilida soup and the chips and salsa! However, the service during lunch during the work week is terrible. There's usually a wait to get seated and then a wait for your food. I went for lunch today and I kept having to get the waiter's attention everytime we needed something, plus he totally got my order wrong. So, go for the food, but don't expect much more than that.

I've been to this Chili's and have to admit that I enjoyed my meal, but was amazed that I had to wait a half-hour for a table even on a Sunday night!! But I suppose on that stretch of Touhy Av., you don't have many other decent sit-down dining choices.

The service here is really bad. We've waited ten minutes for a waitress to even come over-which is annoying. The food is good most of the time-I usually get the chicken tacos and the Chili Con Queso to start with chips. All in all this is a very mediocre place.
