Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Sluggers has a really legit lunch buffet. They usually have 4 to 6 types of pizza out at any time, and then also have a fairly good salad bar attached. At lunch it is usually pretty busy, which is good because there is a constant flow of fresh pizzas being put out. I tend to just get the no name/slugger bread because it is awesome. Also, the restaurant is always clean and I feel like it has always been non-smoking so it doesn't have the same worn in feel as some of the other Quad-City pizza places. That could be good or bad depending on who you are, but I will take it.

Tried out their lunch Buffett today. Overall was a good experience. They had 2 - 3 pizzas and cheese stick out their at a time. It also included a small salad bar. Pizza was the signature Quad Cities style that is common in the area. Lots of cheese, decently thick crust and plenty of toppings. For the price of the Buffett I couldn't complain.

Aw yeah! I've been hittin' this pie with authority since they opened in the mid-90's. Quality pie is all I can say. Great proportion of cheese, sauce, and dough... Plus, they are cheaper than their competitors (i.e. Harris, etc...) and they bring the flavor. Almost forgot to mention their $1/$1.50 drafts they serve up on Thursdays. Sluggers, keep representing the QC style pie. You still hit bullseye! I'm looking forward to our next rendezvous.

Slugger's is as good as Harris, if not better - I stay in East Moline when I'm in town, so it's a lot more convenient than driving all the way to Rock Island. I have only ever had the sausage pizza, but it's definitely one of the places I hit whenever I'm in town.

Sluggar's is a Harris knock off, but it is one of the best! Pizzas are excellent and their cheese bread can't be beat! I also love their lunch buffet! Fresh pizzas coming out all the time and salad too. My favorite pizza place!

Slugger's has really good pizza. The only bad pizza I've had is their new speciality recipes - Gyro pizza had a fishy taste and Jerk Chicken pizza was way too spicy, couldn't enjoy either. I'll stick to their original pizza menu. They'll deliver to hospitals and businesses.
