We eat here as a family at least once a week and have never been let down. The chips and salsa are amazing and they bring it to your table before you even have time to open a menu. Over the past few years we've tried nearly everything on the menu and everything is delicious. Highly recommend!

Best Mexican we found in Rockford. Eaten (4) times now and feel qualified to leave review. Salsa is lighter (could be more spicy) but loaded with cilantro just as we prefer. Chips are warm/fresh tasting. Queso light and complementary to the salsa. Pepsi products always up check for us. Modelo fans are we and if looking for adult beverage with your burrito they have the largest Modelo bottle I ever saw! Staff wait service easily above average. Small yes but does not "feel" crowded. Last meal was Friday night 1900 hours and waited about 1 minute to sit. Never felt pinched. Colors are bright but not gaudy and generally there is a cozy family feel to the whole place. Food: We both tried something different each time, from Beef to Pollo and been extremely satisfied. The combo fajitas for two meal was VERY good (and good bargain) and Fiesta allowed us both corn and flour tortilla's.The grilled chicken quesadilla looks more like an American taco but kids tore it up! Our favorite Rockford area Mexican (by) so far.

Fiesta Cancun is the place to go for cheap and consistently good Mexican food. It's not authentic, but as close as you can get around here, and it's certainly more authentic than a lot of other Mexican joints. Also, it's so cheap for what you get. You can leave full with leftovers for later and spend no more than 10 bucks a person including drinks! Tip: If you're looking to cop a buzz, never order the frozen margaritas--order non frozen for higher tequila content!

My husband and I like Fiesta Cancun. We eat in and do carry out. They have great service, margaritas, and food. Friendly staff. We like the chicken Cho Cho and we usually split a meal because we get enough for both of us. With chips and salsa it is plenty.

I eat here all the time. Very quick service and best Mexican around! A must eat place. I usually get the lunch fajita burrito with chicken and its the best I have ever had before. I would highly recommend this place to others.

I get dinner take out from here about 2 times a month. I usually get the grande burrito and my fiancé gets the steak fajitas. We absolutely LOVE the food. You get so much food so have an appetite. It also comes with awesome salsa and chips. The white queso is amazing! The only reason for 4 stars is because the last couple of times I felt rushed when ordering and the politeness that used to be there has kinda dwindled. Also the prices somehow vary when I buy the same food from time to time. Overall I say if your in the mood for great Mexican food, this is a must!

Luis and his family run this place with love and dedication. If you have the good fortune to chat with him or his wife, the pleasure of your dining experience will more than double. The salsa is home made every day and the giant margaritas (on the rocks) are made with Luis' own home made mix. It's Tex Mex and probably not the same traditional dishes they're cooking at home (unfortunately for us!), but everything is very fresh and the portions generous. The colorful painted decor is bright and welcoming. It's a favorite of many and can get busy, but the wait staff will gladly slow down and share a smile and a chat if you're feeling rushed. Enjoy Fiesta Cancun and this family's labor of love.

It's sort of our barn tradition that every time we have a horse show at Ledge's we have Friday dinner here. The food is always quite excellent and the service is friendly and accommodating, although at times a bit slow. Then again, they probably are slower in our case because there is usually 15-20 of us, they may very well get to tables of 3-4 a lot faster and we wouldn't know because we don't live in the area. My one gripe would be the lack of healthy options. I ordered the taco salad once ...there was some lettuce near the top but it was mostly a bowl of beef, beans and cheese. It was good, but not what comes to mind when you hear the word "salad." The portions are always generous and the margaritas are good. The price point is also difficult to complain about.

Experience: 4/5 First visit to Fiesta Cancun in Roscoe. Came in at 3:01 pm on a Wednesday afternoon. Lunch menu hours are 12-3 pm. The waiter let us slide and still order from the lunch menu. That was kind of him. Nice relaxing atmosphere during the lunch hour. I have seen this place pretty busy at nights, but only one other couple in there during lunch. Makes it easy to get in and out. Food and Drink: 3/5 I'm a big horchata fan. Nothing special about the horchata from here unfortunately. Chips and Salsa are complimentary. Again, nothing special. We ordered the Chicken Fujita Burrito and and Steak Fajita Lunch Special. Both tasted like they were supposed to taste. Everything was good, not great. Service: 5/5 Waiter was very friendly and attentive. Let us sneak by on the lunch menu hours. Price: $ Doesn't get any cheaper than this. Overall: 3/5 For Mexican food in Roscoe, I guess this takes the cake. It is as close to "Authentic" as you are going to get. I was really torn between 3 or 4 stars. I ultimately settled on 3 stars because it was just A-OK, and because I probably would only come here again if I was absolutely craving Mexican food or to spite Taco Bell.

This restaurant is trash it is the crappiest Mexican food around Roscoe every time I go there I eat a fine meal but I get a stomach ache afterwards and they need to do stuff with the lighting in there. If you want to get good authentic Mexican food go to sabrosa 10 times better. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

I eat here regularly for lunch. The service is fast and friendly, the food is hot, consistent and a good value. The lunch specials knock a dollar or so off the price and they are served with a basket of warm chips and their own recipe salsa (it is a bit too mild). I agree the food is not authentic Mexican, but the servers certainly are!

Excellent choice for lunch or dinner. Great service, very consistent quality, and incredible value. Lunch is served very quickly which makes Fiesta Cancun a much better choice than a fast food restaurant.

The quality and portion size is not what it used to be.

The food here is absolutely terrific. It is also a great value for the amount you receive. My one real complaint is about service. When I have dined here with family, it's been fine. We are treated well, and it is fast and courteous. For some reason when I eat here with my fiance, who happens to be Hispanic, I am completely ignored by the hosts and servers as they much prefer talking to her in Spanish. This happens every time. Very uncomfortable to be ignored except when being handed the check. She also notices this and finds it disturbing. As such, we try to limit how often we eat here.

Good Americanized Mexican food. Not authentic at all. The service is provided by an all male staff that is fast and very accommodating. A great value.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
