I went here for their NYE party. I would totally come back and give this place another try! The NYE ticket was $50 and included all you can drink, champagne toast at midnight, and food buffet. My only regret is that I didn't eat beforehand. The food looked delicious - and that's only the buffet! The ordered food looked (obviously) more scrumptious. The staff was a hit and miss. The bouncers were stereotypically not friendly, servers ignored us, bartenders (except for one wonderful woman) never noticed me. The DJ was great and very friendly. The previously mentioned magical bartender was so good at remembering me, I just waved hello and my drinks were ordered without saying a word. The table set up was weird. There were enough to make it look like a restaurant, not giving a large dance floor, but not enough tables for everyone to get one. I'd for sure like to see how this place is without a special event.

Whats to say? This place sucks! the bartenders are the biggest rudest bitches I have ever met...In case your wondering which one One of them has blonde highlites and one just has brunette hair. Also they have terrible food and the music is GOD AWFUL when they did have todays music they play the same 5 songs every weekend! I RECOMMEND NOT TO GO. All they play is country, and I asked whats on special and the bartender tells me " You should know by now what the specials are now" wtf... LOUSY PLACE

Great food and service all the time. This is just what we needed in Romeoville! The Cajun chicken wrap is fantastic. The corned beef sandwich is also great. Great daily drink specials. My favorite restaurant!

Good fresh salad with juicy chicken. Open atmosphere and comfortable. Salad was huge and enough for two meals. Prices are reasonable.

Above average beer list, lots of tvs, diverse bar menu, lots of seating both inside and out. Service is always a little slow, but my food is good, the games are on and I get to try tasty beers, so its about all I can ask from a super suburban pub and grub. I've been in twice with a larger group and both times we were given separate checks without having to ask and all bills were split and handled quickly and easily, which was a nice touch.

Hey so I REALLY LIKE THE STAFF. Racheal, Abbey, Shelly, Ashely (brunette), Arianne, Steph, Emma and Kelly are all AmAzing. On the other hand, ashley behind the bar is a HUGE piece of white TRASH shit. Everytime I come in on a Friday night, she completely ignores me and I'm forced to wait for a drink. I guess I should grab a table but I'm worried she'll skimp me on a drink. I've always tipped correctly, (I'm also a bartender) but i mean really? I strongly think they need to reconsider their Friday night staff. Put her on when no one comes in, after all, it doesn't seem like she wants the business anyways. Sorry, love you stone but ya girl is a little but too much. Hope you can fix this soon. I spend too much here to be treated like this.

Good generic "big box" type of bar/restaurant. Nice outside seating patio area while the inside is large and high ceilinged, which adds to a warehouse feel of the place. It has a multitude of big screen TV's and a decent selection of beers on tap (20 handles). The most awesome thing is, that they had Dark Horse Brewing's Crooked Tree IPA on tap! They are located in Marshall, MI and I know them well. Once I saw their star logo, I knew what I was having! Support your local brewery. I sat at the bar and ordered a Cobb salad. Now, while I could argue the technicality that it had no avocado on it, I won't, because it was a good size and done very well. I don't know that I would go out of my way to come here, but if I were in the area already, I would stop on again.

Stone City has an awesome patio and watermelon beer on draft. It finally feels like spring. Tonights special is martinis and bombs but I am a beer drinker and will settle for one or two of the 20 beers on draft. They even have bag boards out to entertain people and a DJ.

I've been here twice and throuroughly enjoyed it both times. The first time they had karaoke, the second time they had a DJ. They have pretty decent drink specials, the prices aren't too bad, and they aren't too far from home. If you're looking for a sport bar type place that isn't too pricy in the Romeoville/Bolingbrook area then this place is for you.

Went on a Friday night to a packed house. When I tried to order my friend and I a drink the bartender asked for I.D.'s. Not a big deal, so we handed them to her and I expected to hear a happy birthday being that my friend had just turned 30, instead I got a," my dad is from New York and this doesn't look like his," so I told her," yeah because I'm not your dad." She then asked for a second form so I handed her two credit cards , clearly not fulfilling her request but giving her what I thought was enough information to prove I was of age. She then took them to another bartender and then to the bar. When my ID and credit cards returned they were in the hands of a big dark haired fellow that must have been trying to manage the place. He asked the same thing as she had only was a little more specific and through in the word photo. I very rudely grabbed my credit cards and I.D. from his hands and replied with,"no I don't but I'll take my business elsewhere." The picture was in my top ten results when I typed in,"New York license" into google. They only thing that differs to mine is that this one lacs the heart on it that mine has stating that I'm an organ donor. The employment there is very resourceful.

I was in here recently during lunch, about 1230-2ish. I really don't have anything negative to say other than typical labor workers sitting at the bar gawking at the female staff which is common all over the world. I got the special, slow roasted meatballs in potato gnocchi pasta. The presentation was nice for a "saloon," the sauce was good, nothing out of this world. Pasta teased great. Meatballs were a bit small though. Service was good. Nice young girl (forgot her name.) The GM came over and greeted the table. Randy I believe. Very nice guy. Clean place. Not too noisey and overall good experience.

Beer list is great, pretty good drink specials and the food is usually quite decent. Some of the servers are terrible but some are fantastic. I think half of Citgo refinery lives here because it's just down the street.

Food is pretty good. Slightly pricy. If you love craft beers, go here and check it out. Great place to hang. Employees are really good for the most part. I recommend "Not Your Father's Root Beer" beer if you have a sweet tooth, love root beer, and want to get drunk.

They like to double tax their alcohol. And when asked to correct it I got the "I cant".. this will not be the end of my complaint. ....

Jenny (sp) was outstanding! I ordered the black and blue burger cooked medium rare w/ grilled onions. The burger came out cooked perfectly, but it was initially missing the onions. Jenny (sp) noticed they were missing and VERY quickly brought them out. I'd drive quite far to come back.

Ok I've been drinking little sum from Lagunitas for 4 years now. Today it has a bad after taste... I ask whats wrong? (Not complain.) the bartender said, nothing! It is what it is.!!! She told me she will ask the manager to try it. She came back and told me, the manager say there is nothing wrong with it. We're in front of the bar and we never seen the manager try the beer. After 30 minutes of been out of beer, she comes and ask if we want anything else to drink.?? What the fuck.!???? That's why only one star.! I'm still gonna ask the manager how long is he drinking Lagunitas...

Great server. That's about the only thing great about this place. Well, to be honest the place isn't bad if you like watered down drinks that are expensive. If this place wasn't so cheap about their drinks it wouldn't be so bad. The owners should stop watering down their drinks

It was a Sunday afternoon in August when we first came in with a party of nine. I'm not sure why I have waited so long to write up the review. Could it have possibly been the fact that it was not exactly that memorable of an experience? Most likely, I just forgot. So here it goes now. We were clearly the first customers of the day (we rolled in around noon,) and perhaps caught the kitchen and staff off guard. Since the seating consisted of a few booths, bar seating, and all high-top tables, they quickly put together a section of high-tops for us. With a name like Stone City Saloon, I was expecting more of a C&W kind of place. Really, the decor was minimal; neon bar signs and a polished cement floor. They did have a lot of open floor space, so I can assume at night, this place can easily be converted into a dance club sort of atmosphere. Our server came over and introduced herself, and proceeded to take our drink orders. Mostly, it was iced teas, sodas, and maybe two people had tap beers. I am not quite sure why it took 20 minutes to get them. After we got our drinks, we ordered both appetizers and main dishes. The menu consisted of mostly burgers, sandwiches, normal bar food, and a few entrees. For appetizers, we ordered two combo plates, which had all the fried veggies and cheese you could want, and some potato skins. These were pretty decent, as far as fried food can be. For main courses at the table, we had seven burgers and two salads. When the food made it to the table, there were a few thing wrong. Instead of fries, one of the burgers had rice. Server swore my husband ordered rice with his burger. (I'm sorry, who gets rice with a cheeseburger?) One burger was completely missing from the order. Server claimed it took longer to cook that particular burger. Since when does, burger, onions, cheese and bacon take extra time to cook? I would much rather her just admit that she forgot to put the order in. We all would have been fine with that. All told, it took another 20 minutes (that seems to be the magic number here) to get the burger and order of fries out to us. By that time, most of us were halfway done eating. I cannot speak for anyone else on the food quality, but mine was good. Not excellent, but serviceable. I ordered a southwest chicken salad. Chicken salad it was, but I'm still not sure where the 'Southwest" part came in at. Perhaps the best part of this visit, was playing bags outside after our meal. I think it had more to do with the company I was with. They do not charge you to play bags, only ask for a photo ID to reserve the bags. There was about four to five setups outside, with plenty of tables and chairs. The pitchers of ice water on the hot day was a great touch.

I stopped here after going to a wedding ceremony. We had time to kill before the reception and decided to stop somewhere to eat and drink a bit ahead of time. We saw a billboard for Stone City Saloon and decided to give it a try. It did not look very nice from the outside, but it gets better once you enter. The decor was nice. We only ordered appetizers, the buffalo wings and loaded nachos, but both were good. The drinks left something to be desired. They were missing some of the liquors and said that they would make me something fruity and delicious. When I got the martini, it tasted like cough syrup and I didn't even drink it. The waitress was super nice so I felt bad saying anything to her.

I am curious to know who was the blonde bartender who was working this afternoon. And I'm also curious to know what level of education is needed to be a bartender here. She was the by far the dumbest, most ignorant server I have ever came across in my life. I have always had a great experience on every occasion that I have been here. I received an email this morning from Stone City about their upcoming promotions for the holidays. I looked into the daily specials and it said that they have 3 dollar craft pints. I decided to stop by and have a few. After I received my bill, i noticed the bartender charged me full price for all my drinks. I asked her about the special and she said " No, those don't apply to the ones you ordered" and she she directed me to to the manager. Apparently she realized how of much of an idiot she was and said "fine I will give you the price your asking for". Not only was I not asking for my own price, I was willing to pay "YOUR PRICE" until you gave me a stupid sarcastic attitude. And then she decided to explain to me that it doesn't mention online that some pints are not included in that special and how I should have known that. Learn the menu at the bar your working at if you plan on being a bartender for the rest of your life. The only reason I even tipped her a sad 3 dollars was because I felt bad for her. I regretted that later after I got home also. She was loud and obnoxious while trying to explain something that she knew she was wrong about. It's truly sad that one slow ignorant bartender can have such an impact on a regular customer. I will not be returning.

Good beer menu, staff has always been friendly, but the service is very slow. I mean really, really slow!!! Try to sit at the bar it's the quickest way to get beer / food and you will still set there 10 mins. at a time with an empty glass.

The food sucks here. We usually have good service when it comes to coming here to get drunk, but this last time me and my friend were upset with the bartenders. First it was not incredibly busy there so no excuse. One girl at the bar refused to work a certain area of the bar (our area we were standing in) the other did the ultimate FU to us. Me and my friend were not wasted, not rude, not beligerant, but we did indicate we were looking for a drink in a calm manner as gentlemen. She continued to serve the same customers over and over skipping us, turns out these customers were her friends. She skipped over us continually. Then to add insult to injury, some off duty staff members walked in and stood behind us and she served them drinks right behind us like we did not exist. We had to stare at their delicious drinks that we could not have even though we had been standing there 10 minutes! I was offended beyond belief and my friend was pissed. When she finally served us my friend kinda threw the money at her slightly and she made a comment, and he calmly told her the reason why and she got NO tip from him. Later we moved to the table and got served timely and the waitress was great. I have been here a decent amount of times and service was great those bartenders working that night in late March to early April 2013 on the weekend were aweful and this place looses a star. The other star deducted for lousy food.

I had heard about this bar several times from some of the girls I work with. I was able to check them out about a week ago with a girlfriend. Walking in I did like the decor and the layout. We took a booth and got some drinks. We did not have the best bartender that night but I guess she did her best. One question being somewhat new to this area. What the heck is up with the bars out here having only Pepsi or God am I going to say this RC products?? I am a Coke girl dang it! :) Anyways I ordered the Caprese app and LOVED it. Nice presentation for bar food. D.J was playing that night and had some good tunes going. I have to say I wish MORE bars would play the videos to the songs playing on their TVs. I really like that. Plenty of sports on the TVs too. I will have to check this bar out again on a week day or week night to see how I like it then. I do want to go back to try some more of their food. CHEERS!!

This place is terrible, the food is clearly frozen and comparable to something you would get at mcdonalds. The worst part about this place is the staff, it took 30min to get our first beer and when we got them they were flat and pretty warm. Typical with a poorly managed resturant and inexperienced staff they tried to say it was fine and we were the wrong ones so we left and will never be back.

It's okay. The food was decent. Not a very deep menu. The beer list is above average and very reasonably priced. I view it as a place with an identity crisis. It doesn't know whether to be a sports bar, beer bar or a club. There are great specials most days, but then they say there will be a DJ like 3 nights a week. Nothing drives me away from a place quicker than DJ music. The service is also lackluster. It took nearly 10min for someone to even acknowledge our presence. I don't mind if they're a little behind, but at least say "Hi, we'll be with you very soon" I'll probably go back and try a burger on an early evening and give it another shot. I do give the owners major props on the interior design. The place is beautiful

I usually stop in here for a beer after work. They have a pretty impressive craft beer list and they're a lot cheaper priced than most bars in downtown Plainfield. I always sit at the bar and have never had a problem with the bartenders or the service. I have eaten a couple different things off the menu and I've never had a problem with any item. Their burgers are very good, and you can't beat the burger special that includes a burger, fries, AND soup all for $4.95 on Thursdays. The rest of the menu is also fairly priced. Nothing very expensive at all actually. The only problem I have is the theme is very confused as others have said in their posts as well. It's supposed to be saloon themed and has the decor, but has a lot of TVs like a sports bar, many craft beers on tap like a pub, and then DJs 3 nights out of the week after a certain time AND karaoke one night too.... It's a bit much going on for one place. But other than that, I definitely love coming here for some good food and great beer! I still need to try tacos on taco Tuesday damn it!

This place is solid for a suburban bar/grill! We had a large group of about 9 and we came in right as the place opened for the day and we were the only people in the house. We all ordered food and I think we took the kitchen off guard a bit. The food was really good and reasonably priced. However we were very disappointed at the time difference between when the first order was brought to the table and the last order was brought to the table. We would have liked to all eat together at relatively the same time. I am not sure what happened and what the delay was but eventually we all received our food. It was good but we didn't even get an apology for the delay. Our server was very attentive to us (outside of the kitchen snafu) and the place was in really good condition. Everything was still fairly new as the place just opened not too long ago and it was good repair. We went outside for a while to play some bags. It turned out to be a really fun afternoon. The outdoor patio was huge with plenty of space. Even though we had a little meal foul up, I would be more than happy to go back again. This establishment came through for us and we ultimately enjoyed ourselves!

Been wanting to try this place since it opened up earlier this year and since Romeoville doesn't have a lot of sit down options. What a disappointment!!!!!! I stopped in on my way home from work to have dinner. I ordered the chicken tender appetizer that came with fries. Now I do have to admit I was impressed that it came with fries. That is where it ends. The chicken was ice cold and the fries were hot on the outside but definitely not cooked all the way as the middle was quite raw.... GROSS!!!! I would have said something to my server but she was pretty much non-existent. I guess she thought it best to chit chat with the other servers at the bar and play with her hair. Really there were about 5 girls in there and I only saw one actually working. This maybe a great place to hang out for a beer after work and shoot a game of pool or play bags.... BUT don't order any food!!!!! YIKES!

I used a Groupon at Stone City Saloon and they allowed me to use it on Beer which I found to be very useful. They have a great selection of draft beers and the beer list changes often. My wife and I both enjoyed the burgers and would definitely come back again. They have a large outdoor patio a few video gaming machines inside as well as pool tables inside and bags outside. We want to go back on discount wing night!

Went here few days ago. No one was in the place but a few regulars that the bartender kept on talking to while ignoring us. She felt more compelled to gossip with the regulars and servers than serve us beers. The staff all seemed to have horrible attitudes as well except one the of guys that work there that was cool. I've been to this place several times and had the same exact experience. It is what is......a dive bar.

tried going here for the halloween bash. The waitresses are hot, but are idiots and incredibly snooty. Ran a tab, they forgot... then lost my credit card. Took 20 minutes to get it back Drink specials are not noteworthy. The specialty beers are way over priced. The food sounds good on the menu but it way overpriced and really sucks when you get it. There were not even any drink specials or appetizer specials in their "bash". They tried to move tables together(for a reservation on their halloween bash) so no one had a place to sit. The DJ was good but the 4 foot square area to dance was just stupid. If I want bad food and be treated badly I will go to a club in New York... Not here in Romeoville. Half time was a sh*t hole but at least they were nice. i wish there were negative stars on yelp

The patio is great. That's it. The service was incredibly slow. The food was burnt and stale bread. Don't go here.
