I'm not gonna write a very long review about this Sonic because it's not like I tried out everything on the whole menu, but I can say that my hot dog was okay at best, and my green apple slush wasn't very flavorful. This slush also was annoying to finish because you will eventually have to move your straw around to drink all the slush cause the slush turns into harder ice and it sticks together. So, when you try to drink it, you'll get just a tube of ice and the rest of the ice is still in the cup. Of course, it was my first time there and my next experience could be better and I can try new slushes and foods so I'll probably go back just to see if it is better the second time.

Mediocre at best. Hot dogs are better everywhere including my microwave and the only saving grace is the cherry limeade. Sadly you can't win me over with sweet drinks unless you have some free booze included.

Horrible service and slow. Of our order of 3 kids meals and 2 regular meals, they brought out 1 kids meal and 1 meal ALONG WITH THE RECEIPT, and then asked if our order was all there?? Whaaaaa??? Maybe these people don't know how to read....if that's the case, I'm sorry great service! Keep it up!! But noooo then when I finally got the rest of my order I received medium sized popcorn chicken instead of the Large size I ordered.....only 20 minutes after that I finally got the right size. First time here and never coming back. Hopefully it's better at a different location, don't know if I'll dare to find out.

My family loves Sonic, mostly for their Cherry Limeades. I, however, find the place's food to be abysmal in every aspect. I've eaten at a sonic multiple times and locations. The service and quality of food at this one is just the same as with the rest. In fact you could cut and paste this review into any Sonic I've been to. It's not the service that kills the place, it's the food. Seriously, it is bland as all heck. The burgers, Tots, Dogs... everything tastes like it is being served in a nursing home to people that can't have flavor in their diet. Today I had one of their Chili Cheese Dogs with onions and mustard. They advertise these are premium all beef hot dogs. Which, might be true, because the hot dog was about the only thing that tasted.... well, it tasted like a hot dog. (not necessarily a good one, but at least the flavor matched the food it was supposed to be). The canned Nacho cheese was like eating yellow paste. There was no cheese flavor to it. The chili tasted like what I would expect the color brown to taste like. Plain with no seasonings and can be mixed with anything and not effect the flavor of what it's on. They somehow found onions that tasted nothing like an onion. Someone discovered a way to leach all the yummy goodness out of the onion. I know they where on there because I could see them, but I couldn't detect even a hint of onion in any bite. The bun? Buns aren't normally something I rate on flavor, as they are what they are, a delivery device to get the food into your mouth. This bun, may be why the food is so bland. I do believe it actually acts like a black hole to suck the flavors of anything near it into a limbo never to be tasted again. I've come to the conclusion that Sonic must be the healthiest fast food joint to eat at just because anything with this little flavor can NOT be unhealthy for you. Seriously, I've have more flavor on a plain rice cake. Oh, and if you decide to go and try them out to see if they really are that bland, head this tip: When ordering multiple dogs in the drive through, they are going to stack them on top of each other, efficiently smashing the toppings onto the wrapper surrounding it so when you peal it off, you'll have to use a knife to scrape it off and put it back on the dog.

I love Sonic, but this was is a complete joke! I had a coupon for buy one get one free hot dog so i ordered two chicago style hot dogs while on my lunch break (togo). When i got back to work and opened the bag neither of my chicago style hot dogs had relish on them. There is a sign on the drivethru window that says, "Refunds only with receipt and food in question". So i brought back the food and my receipt and they refused to give me a refund, per District Manager Julie whom the assistant manager had to call to see if she could give me a refund. Saying i should have immediately came back or called them. If this isn't the lowest form of customer service i don't know what is. Won't be going back!

I love sonic, but this one is terrible. No wonder their drive-in was empty Friday at 12:30 pm. The only thing they did right was the order. Each item was ruined. I will call Sonic and tell them how bad this experience was. Go to the one on Riverside and Alpine.

  • Trevor N.

Fed up with this place... In my last visit, the order taker didn't bother to read back my order and of course got it wrong. He gave no indication that he was listening (i.e. saying "okay" between items) and left me hanging for about 30 seconds when I finished, leaving me to wonder if he had heard anything I said at all. I ordered a chicken sandwich, but got a double bacon burger (not even close). The chili cheese tots are really the only reason I come back, but not any more. My order included two, one of which had barely any chili on it and the other had none. Both were very dry. Also, my shake was far from full. In the past, I've had very long wait times, on the order of 10+ minutes.

Very slow drive-through service on Sunday night around 8:30. There is a huge line behind us. The burger I got was good, but not hot enough. My daughter's burger was missing lettuce.

meh, I've had better. I had only been to a different sonic once before this for a cherry limeade when one opened literally right over the fence from me. If the service at the one by me is as bad as the one in Rockford, I now know why I don't spend my hard earned money there! So it's a Friday, and my family and I are having a garage sale. Around one, we realize we're hungry, so my sister and I head over to bring back food for the six adults. Yes, we had a big order. Yes, you read it back correctly. Yes, you took my money quickly. That's where the good stuff ends. It took a verrrrrry long time for them to make our food. We thought we were getting "fast" food. 20 minutes is not fast. Then the woman brought us our food and read it off. It was correct when she read it off. But then I checked the bag (I ALWAYS check the bag now, because it's usually wrong) and they, of course, forgot some items. So we ring them back. They say they will have it right out to us. Apparently "right out" means more than 10 minutes later. I was STARVING at this point. No "fast food" joint should take more than 30 minutes to get your order out. However, I did enjoy their chili cheese tots. And add onions if you're not planning on kissing anyone later!

Oh so hungry wanting to eat. Hey I want to try Sonic haven't been there in a while and living out of town sounds great!! Lets see I want a number this and that. Time to push the button. Woman: Will be with you in a minute. What does a minute mean to you??? 3 minutes 4 , 5 hummm. They never answered me back so left went to DQ across the street. I feel sorry for the CEO of this company. If they plan on getting better they can look forward to bankruptcy. I will never , let me repeat that never, go to the Sonic in Rockford,Il that is a HUGE PROMISE!!
