Excellent food, cooked fresh with fresh ingredients. Homemade pasta is so good, the meatloaf is a must have and the home made fries and chicken strips are my goto for my kids. On the downside, the restaurant needs an update, very dated interior and their windows which overlook the Mississippi are filthy.....they so need to work on basic cleaning. If you can clothes your eyes to their interior the food will blow you away

This was an outstanding restaurant. The wife and I had Sea Pub house steak. I ordered the twice baked potato it was fantastic. Service was excellent. The only reason I did not give this restaurant 5 stars was the windows. The restaurant has an outstanding view of the Mississippi River. But the windows were covered in cobwebs from all the spiders. The waitress said they were trying to get them cleaned but were not successful. The dirty windows really take away from the atmosphere otherwise wonderful restaurant.

This is a great place to go to for work lunches, especially if you are not in a hurry. The food on the lunch menu is very good, and the food always arrives as ordered. I have not tried their dinner menu. You get a great view of the river from their dinning area. The Burgers are very good, as are their pasta dishes.

Good food, great location. Good menu, decent prices, and a great view right on the river. Good place to have a quiet dinner and conversation. I believe they still do a Sunday brunch as well. Ask for a table with river view.

As I mentioned in my tip this was my first time here... My son goes to Quincy university and we've been slowly checking out the Quincy restaurant scene. Being from the Chicago area, maybe my perception is skewed but this place really needs to do a better job of maximizing their potential. The food was just so so and the restaurant wasn't very clean and was actually kind of shabby. Even the elevator and lobby up to the entrance was dinged, scuffed, and smelled moldy. Not a great first impression. Our table featured an oil cruet that was simultaneously greasy AND dusty. The one plus was the service which was friendly and attentive.

I am in town on business and was looking for a place with a nice atmosphere and well prepared food that is more interesting than the local steakhouses. Pier Restaurant was just what I was looking for! I had the snapper special which is a pepper encrusted Florida snapper with a red pepper and garlic aioli which was quite good. The locally grown beans with red onion were a great compliment to it and I had the mashed potatoes, but asked for a side of au jus (which is generally not available) and it was DELICIOUS. For desert, I had a slice of the key lime pie which was more firm and custardy creamy than I'm used to seeing, but which I strongly preferred over any that I've had prior. I had a beautiful seat overlooking the water. If you're there in the early evening, just be aware that the sun comes in the windows for a period of time, but they have shades drawn to limit it being hot or unpleasantly bright. Overall, I felt that the portion sizes, price, and quality of food were right in line with where they should be. The service was great and I'll definitely eat here again when I'm in Quincy.

Stopped in after a long day and really enjoyed my meal. The food was well prepared, the host was very involved and interested in the experience of his guests, and our wait staff was adequate. My two cents - come hungry and plan for having dessert. The bread pudding with caramel sauce and a scoop of salted carmel ice cream was superb!

Sunday Brunch is awesome. It has carved meats, omelette bar, and soup and salad selections and one unbelievable view of the Mississippi River.

This restaurant had a decent atmosphere, however it seemed like they were trying to hard to be an upscale place. This is quincy, not St. Louis. Food was good, portions were small and price was a bit high. Our service was good especially since we had a large group of 12. Our drinks were always filled up. Food took a little while but I was hoping that's because everything is made fresh and in house. I would suggest going here once just to try it out. After that your probably just throwing your money away on good you could get at Applebee's.

I live locally in Adams County where The Pier resides. I have hosted many work luncheons and dinners at the Pier. The Pier has mostly first class servers, hostess, and wait staff. I can't even start to mention all the dishes my family loves that are created there. Chef does salmon perfectly, risotto is beyond delicious presentation the best in town! The staff that I took there for lunches/dinners always knew they had done well with us going there. Love salads? Their Cobb sald is masterful! Why only four stars? Every restaurant has room for improvement and 5 means to me above and beyond excellent. When I give a 5 rating it indicates to me no room to improve. And while I think they are near that, everyone has a bad day. Go for lunch or dinner, doubt you will be disappointed! And yes an amazing view all year long!

Amazing view with medium food. Kind of on the pricey side for a small midwestern town.

The Pier was very welcoming to all the visiting birders coming in for the January 2015 Ivory Gull. Despite the cold conditions and the unexpected nature of the business (this place is probably quite quiet in January), they were very accommodating and friendly and service was quite good. We even struck up a conversation with the bartender about the whole rare bird phenomenon. I had the lobster mac-n-cheese and the crab-stuffed salmon special, both of which were delicious. The view is really something else, and I'd heard of several birders setting up here and scanning through the windows for their prize. While I ultimately missed the Ivory Gull, I'm certainly happy with my experience in Quincy, and hope I have the opportunity to visit again.

Well, if I could review on the food, I would. Unfortunately, I arrive at 1:40 (50 minutes before the end of lunch) and I saw the waitress in the back of the restaurant. Waited 3 minutes, she was still working on place settings? Don't know, but we locked eyes. Waited another 2 minutes. She locked eyes with me, again. At this time, looking around at the very empty restaurant, I'm seeing if there is anyone else waiting tables.. Nope. Needless to say, by the end of waiting almost 8 minutes to be asked to sit somewhere, I just left. Food rating: ?? wished I would have had a chance to eat Location rating: 10 - it's on the river Service: -10 - and yes... it's negative. The waitress saw me, twice and wouldn't seat me.

The water was up but the food and service were still good. The Tuscan cheese balls app was very good with marinara even better. The horseradish catfish and snapper special were great!!!

It was hard to give the Pier 3 or 4 stars. I've been here twice. The prime rib and pasta dishes are the best in town. Service is very good. Views are spectacular. Vegetables are seasoned almost perfectly. Table settings are fine dining. Carpets and window sills a tad dusty. I'll overlook that. This is the best fine dining Quincy has to offer. The foundation was once part of an old bridge. Interesting engineering. Clever. Try it out for a night on the town. Great place to take a date.

A fine formal restaurant with an interesting layout. We had the meatloaf which was fantastic and the chicken fettuccine alfredo which was good as well. The restaurant is laid out in a circular manner and the atmosphere is great. Everything matched my expectations and the service was polite and prompt. The only exception was the lava cake which seemed to have been forged in satan's ass. I hated it so much but besides that and the kind of expensive food the place was great.
