Was alright. Strange concept. Sports bar/Thai/American/Live music venue. I'm not sure why there is a HUGE movie screen either. In town visiting family and at the time was showing How the Grinch Stole Christmas at the same time the bars radio station was playing Michael Jackson's thriller. Just weird. One person in my party found some strange small piece of plastic in his dish which he brought to the attention of the server. My noodles (pad kee mow) were over-cooked to death but overall I believe the food was ok. The atmosphere is weird and the nachos are mid-western-ized. It probably wouldn't be my first choice, but I'd eat there again.

Food is amazing. Great atmosphere and service. Always a treat on the weekends to watch live music and eat great food.

This place is very overpriced. I ordered the ribeye steak with blue cheese. It cost over $20, but it was as thin as a $5 ribeye sandwich at any bar. My wife got food poisoning from a Thai dish. The rice that came with the dish was sticky, stale Minute rice. She ordered a side salad that had about 25 cents worth of salad. They charged us $4.00. My rum and coke was mostly ice. When we were there we wondered why only a few people were eating at this place on a Saturday night. Now we know. Yes, I have traveled many places inside and outside of the United States. This place would be shut down in most cities due to its poor quality.

Menu is really random. Food seems pretty over priced by a few dollars. Jack of all trades and master of none for sure. Atmosphere is the plus side of this place. Occasional concerts are nice too.

I ate at One with my family over the Christmas holiday. We arrived early and we were seated immediately which was nice. We all ordered and when the food came everything arrived except for what my mom had ordered. The wait staff didn't seem to notice and left the food leaving my mom without anything. We found someone to let them know that she didn't get her order. They apologized and said apparently there was a mix up with two pad thai dishes being ordered instead of three. After a long wait my mom got her pad thai but they forgot to put chicken in it so it was just noodles. We had to find a waiter again to let them know the dish was incorrect. They said they'd bring some chicken out. So my mom waited and finally a bowl of chopped up chicken came out for her noodles. At this point, everyone else had finished eating and my mom's noodles were cold. Also, my mom and my husband who had the pad thai both said that their noodles were stiff and undercooked. While my dish was great (red curry), there was definitely some problems overall. The waiter did take off our appetizer (crab rangoon which was excellent) due to the mix up with my mom's dish but we had no problem with the appetizer. In my opinion, you should take off the dish that you didn't get or didn't get correctly which would have been the pad thai. It was a nice gesture to give us our $6 appetizer for free but it seems like the $13 pad thai should have been free since that's where the problems occurred.

Solid atmosphere with large portions for a modest price. Service can be a little slow sometimes but the food is delicious.

Our last visit to One was the best experience so far. They went out of their way to accommodate our party and even checked back after the event to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and see if they could improve. My past criticism of their attention to detail did not show on this visit. We will definitely dine there again.

the staff was extremely friendly and willing to assist with all our of needs. The drinks are pretty good: lemon drop shots and the one punch are the best. The pinky isn't too bad but I didn't the werther's original shot very much. The crab Rangoon and fried pickles are delicious. The drunken noodles are very good to however next time i'd stick with the mild spice instead of the mild+...I love spicy but that was a little too spicy. Definitely would good back again.

Came back but not doing it again. It was a slow weeknight and they had the lounge closed, which is why my friends and I came to begin with. Since we were already there, we decided to have a few drinks in the auditorium. Server was a nice guy but this place is just sorely lacking on execution. Auditorium feels awkward. Movie playing with music in the background. Just not really appealing. The lounge is really the only thing worthwhile about this place.

Bad slow service. My wife ordered the tilapia taco and chips; the tacos are really skimpy and the chips were burnt. Her cousin ordered crab Rangoon and it was burnt as well and she asked to get a new one. I ordered the sweet salmon and it was ok, the side order of broccoli I had was bland. The waitress never came back to ask me for a refill. The menu mentions root beer in a frost mug, but it just came in a regular cup. The price does not reflect the quality of food. They had the back door open where people were smoking and the smell of cigarette came rolling in to the restaurant. I used the rest room on the way out and the urinals looked liked it hasn't been cleaned in days. We're not going to be a repeat customers.

Holy moly delicious quesadilla's!!! Great price and portion! Salad was also very flavorful, very unique dressing, try the wasabi! Mild kick and lots of taste. Will definitely be coming back for a full meal!!

We arrived at One at 6:20 for what would become a disappointing Saturday night dinner. The restaurant wasn't busy when we arrived (approximately half full, maybe a little more), so we thought it odd when the hostess told us they could not find any menus. We were finally greeted by our server 15 minutes after being seated, after the couple seated just before us walked out. We ordered drinks and the crab rangoon and humus appetizers. We had to ask again for menus since we were never given any (we were seated with torn and stained appetizer/tapas menus). Drinks finally arrived 10 minutes after ordering. My gin & tonic arrived with an old and dried out lime on the rim, which on the surface seems like a petty complaint, but wasn't surprising considering the overall experience. By the time we ordered our food, we had been seated for 30 minutes. I don't normally keep track of restaurant timelines, but decided to this time around since I could tell early on that this would be a marathon meal. Our appetizers arrived over 20 minutes after we ordered them. You can see that I posted a tip about 5 months ago saying that One has the best crab rangoon I've ever eaten, so I was pretty excited about that. The fried outside pastry was delicious and prepared perfectly, but it was more of a cream cheese rangoon this time around with only one of the five we received having any sign of crab. The humus appetizer was really tasty, with the red pepper humus in the center of the other two being excellent. As we were eating our appetizers, a large group seated across the room from us started playing a very loud party game that would've been better suited for a private room. Had I not already been annoyed, the distraction may not have been so bad, but it was pretty obnoxious and took away from the best part of the meal: the conversation. The food finally arrived about an hour and ten minutes after we arrived. I ordered the General Tso chicken, which I have had at One before without issue, but it was so salty this time around that I couldn't eat more than a few bites. By the time we got the checks and left, it was 8pm, 1 hour and 40 minutes after we arrived. The staff apologized several times throughout the meal, saying they were busy, but the restaurant didn't even start to fill up until just before we left (mostly for the band). What we saw was a wait staff that was completely underprepared for a moderately busy Saturday night dinner service, and what we tasted was indicative of a kitchen whose standards had fallen or who just didn't care. The table beside us waited so long that they actually pulled out a deck of cards and started playing poker. It sounds unbelievable, but I will post the photo I took because I knew no one would believe me otherwise. Of my 3 trips to One, this one was unbelievably bad, and by far the worst. It's definitely not at the top of my list for a return visit.

Went on Sat night to see band. Listed starting time online was 8 and when we arrived at 7 for dinner, listed time was 8:30. Encouraged by Thai sampler appetizers which were good. Waitress acted as if this was her first day. Didn't know the special and had to go ask what was in it. Wife and I split a Thai Pad Woonsen and it was just awful. Tasted like something in it had gone bad. Band Seven Days Fuller started 15 minutes after advertised and did continuous sound checks and delays between every song. Great band but they have to polish up the act. Dessert was ok (Red Velvet Cheesecake) but consistency suggested frozen or been in the fridge a couple of days. Great concept for the restaurant and venue and high hopes but really poor execution.

Good, not great, Thai and nothing special otherwise, Service is always good, but on the slow side, again, never in my multiple trips to One has it been great. The decor and general vibe of the place is all over. The menu serves mostly Thai dishes, but with a rather large selection of American style sandwiches. The seating is mostly large half booths, with random tables and balcony seating (that they never use unless it's a weekend). Want to ignore your dinner guests and watch TV? Good, you have no choice, as there is a giant projection screen constantly showing whatever random local channel they have on or maybe an old movie on occasion. There is a good local music scene happening here, as they have regular open mic nights, bands during the summer, and would have a great bar area (if the drinks weren't borderline Chicago/St. Louis prices). Worth a trip if you're craving some decent Thai and you're in town, otherwise, don't bother.

The thai food was a sorry excuse!! The pad Thai was incredibly dry. The waiter asked what level of spice we would like but when the food came out, it had been cooked with no spice and a small cup of spices were provided on the side. Maybe you would think this place was good if you never had good Thai food before. Never coming here again. Ever.

After giving this place several chances, I nor the five others in my group will be going back. Had reservations and still had to wait 15 minutes to be seated while the place had barely anyone in it. Service is so slow. Took 20 minutes to get our first drink, which came out with our appetizers, and another 20 minutes for each drink ordered there after. My girl friend ordered a Thai dish that smelled and tasted like stinky feet. I ordered the scallops. Although they were half way decent. Way over priced for what you get. Then to top it off your saddled with the 18% gratuity (for a party of 6) that wasn't worth 10%. I spent 96$ on the meal for my girlfriend and I and we would have had better food at Taco Bell. Save your money and skip "ONE" Also, they had Finding Nemo playing on the big screen tv on a Saturday night.

The decor is beautiful and the TVs make it a great place to watch a game of any kind. But it seems like it is trying to be too many things. Sports bar, dance club, restaurant so it seems a tad disjointed. The servers appear a tad untrained-like it is their first day, lacking the confidence and efficiency one likes to have when dining out, but ours was pleasant, so that helped the experience. We ordered a round of drinks and I enjoyed my riseling. Our food selections scored on 2 out of 3. The beef fried rice was good, we ordered it mild and it delivered on the taste. The presentation was a tad anemic or blah but not sure how you dress up rice. The yellow curry chicken was tasty and spiced perfectly. However, the chhicken Satay was HORRIBLE! I think it was deep fried! It was tough, dry and tasteless, like a chicken finger with a side of jarred peanut sauce, UGH!!!!!!! The dishes could be perfected and given their own venue in which to shine, like a small, quiet Thai bistro. We sat in the balcony, after begging the hostess who said they rotate where they sit people and the group ahead of us was just seated there. Seriously, you open up in a former theatre- the main attraction is the screen room and yet you hesitate to seat people there?????? 2 Dj's were playing music but nobody was dancing and in turn, nobody could talk!

Big, with multiple bars and seating areas. Seems more like a "pick-up bar" than anything to me. They used to have a very small Thai restaurant, which was absolutely outstanding. When they left that place for this one, the food went in the toilet, as the focus is on the bars and the drinking scene. I've tried it three times in the new place, and have regretted it each time. Too bad.

They just can't get the service right. Overpriced. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. I am done. If someone has special instruction don't act like they are putting the kitchen out. It is what you do. Sad really sad

Don't believe the hype. This was the second time I gave this place a chance... and it will most definitely be the last. Overpriced and underwhelming, it's hard to tell exactly what they are trying to do here. The space is great, and the downtown location is nice... but the decor is tacky and food is sub par. If you are a sports bar... be one! Last time I checked, nachos and french fries hardly qualify as traditional tapas dishes. And if you can't make a decent Pad Thai, don't put it on your menu. It's unfortunate that Quincy is so lacking when it comes to food options that people will wrongly believe that One is actually decent.

This review is on décor, ambience, and my confidant presumption of the success of the restaurant. Since I may not be in town for awhile, I'll have to base their food on my next trip up. With a reservation for 13, we arrived promptly at 12:30. One of the waitresses came up to us and profusely apologized that they had been slammed the previous night, and that they didn't have any Thai food available. After she had done some calling, the truck wouldn't be able to make a delivery that day. Now, usually I would find this unacceptable, but a few things to note #1) they've only been open for 3 weeks, and as I've stated in a previous review, only a few restaurants can pull off an opening like a well oiled machine #2) this is Quincy...not to talk negatively about it, but where you possibly find some noodles at this short of notice....you CAN'T. #3) being completely out of stock on ALL their Thai noodles can only mean one thing: that they're JUST THAT GOOD. #4) HUGE bar area once you walk in. That includes some flat screen tv's to get your March Madness fix, along with some great drinks specials and concoctions. I found myself to be the last one to leave the restaurant, trying to type in some of those concoctions and names into my phone for future bullmoose consumption. Looking forward to our next visit!

I took my girlfriend here on 1/28/2012, first time for both of us. First off, the restaurant is beautiful, the owners spent a lot of time with decor and designing comfortable lounges both upstairs and down. When we first walked in, we were greeted with no hostess. There was wait staff walking to and from the wait station, but nobody took the time to even say "The hostess will be with you in just a few minutes". When the hostess did greet us, she was not very personable and we both got the vibe that she really didn't want to be there. Not a big deal, she told us it would be a 15 minute wait, so we went up stairs to get a drink from the upstairs bar. We went upstairs to the bar and noticed that there were 8-10 empty tables in the balcony area, why we had to wait 15 minutes for somebody to seat us was kind of strange. I ordered a bottle of beer at the bar and my girlfriend order a blondie. The beer was fine, the blondie tasted like 3 parts vodka, 8 parts syrup, it was so sweet and strong, even I couldn't drink it. After about 15 minutes, our waitress came and seated us in the balcony. We put in for an appetizer, which came out from the kitchen promptly, but the waitress forgot napkins and/or serving plates. Again, no big deal, she went back to the bar and brought us napkins. After we ordered our main course, she brought us salad, but again, we had to remind her to bring us silverware. We read the reviews before going, but must have forgot and made the mistake of getting the balsamic vinaigrette salad dressing, which sadly was just straight balsamic vinegar which is NOT vinaigrette. I ordered the Tilapia Mango Tacos and my girlfriend ordered the Pad Thai. The Tilapia, filling, and mango sauce all had great taste, but the white rice served was over cooked and hard. Not a huge deal as the tacos and sauce were pretty tasty. The Pad Thai however had tough overcooked noodles with chicken that tasted like bbq chicken, definitely not Pad Thai. We asked our waitress to send it back to the kitchen; she was nice about it and let us pick another item off of the menu. She recommended the Garlic Black Pepper chicken which we ordered. When this dish came, it was also served with the same overcooked hard white rice. The vegetables were undercooked, were hard, and the chicken was so dry it crumbled in your mouth. We did not mention this dish to our waitress as if the chef didn't take the time and effort to make sure a second dish being sent out was good, we did not want to waste their time sending out a third sub-par dish. Overall, it was not a good experience. We figured with such an amazing atmosphere, the food would be on par, but sadly, it was far off. The wait staff was nice, our waitress was a little forgetful(she also forgot a second beer I ordered), but that is not a deal killer. The food is far and beyond the main reason why I would not waste my money here on a second trip.

The fajita tacos that I had last night ( the daily special ) were incredible and the beer was cold. - a good end to a long day. I love all the options their menu offers. past experiences: Several friends and I go to One after church a couple times each month, everyone enjoys the 1/2 price Thai on Sundays New Years Eve - I was shocked at how well they coordinated meals for everyone, the restaurant was full, meals all came out at nearly the same time, ours were very good. Our server(s) were extremely attentive to our needs. The Halloween Party was so much fun, the band was fantastic and the crowd was great.

I'm in Quincy on business and this is the place that most people will tell you is the best place in town. + great atmosphere + a lot of seafood options for non-meat eaters + friendly and fast service - okay food, I had the scallops and it was good, but certainly not the best + cucumber wasabi dressing is different and has a nice good kick to it

Atmosphere is great. 1/2 price Thai on Sundays is to die for! They draw a good crowd on the weekends and bring in a lot of talent/bands. Needs help with their wait staff, but over a good experience.

Our 10 year class reunion was held here in September. Tenille and her staff could not have been more helpful and accomodating! We used the entire upstairs and had the food setup in a private area downstairs. There was more than enough room and the food was prepared and presented just as promised. I am still so impressed by what they have done with the building and would definitely recommend for any events/parties!
