Food is just not good. Staff had no idea what they are talking about when asked simple questions. Are the fries fresh or frozen? (goes and checks) ...they are frozen, but then we cook them, so they are hot when they come to the table! They then came and had cold cheese sauce all over them... Lol... Pizza is okay... Games save them, so they get the 2 stars for the kids having fun! They do have a very cool dining area for the kids.

When I saw the commercial on CNN, I was intrigued by the premise of dining under the stars and planets, and so began my Odyssey to Shef Brothers. Finding it was quite the adventure -- for one, it is located inside a Family Fun Center next to an indoor golf course. And for two, the map here is inaccurate. I spent an hour searching through every strip mall in Oswego (seriously, I think I hit 'em all), when lo and behold, Shef Brothers couldn't be easier to find. Hop on Ogden, take 30 East, and it's your third right (including the weird 45-degree shootoff). Seriously, I laughed my ass off once I realized how easy it is to get to (and close to home too). Walking in, you'll notice it's half arcade, half restaurant. The former has about a dozen machines, including skee-ball, basketball, several driving games, claw machines, Tekken 5 and Aliens. There's also two lanes for virtual bowling, and three cars parked before big screens. A helpful staffer informed me that's for virtual NASCAR. And the prizes are actually very, very good (although I'm not entirely sure which machines dispensed tickets and which didn't). The evening's entertainment before me, I went in to have some lunch. Service couldn't have been quicker: I had my meal before me not four minutes after placing my order. My spaghetti was decent, the pasta was al dente (perfect!) and the accompanying bread was excellent. I'd say the marinara was very bland and could use do with some more spice or a little cheese. My waiter (and cook, I think) even took $3 off my bill as a coupon! If I were a family woman, I could not ask for a better place to spend an evening with the kiddies. Seriously, you owe it to yourselves to have fun at an arcade and support a family-owned business. But seeing as I'm not, I'll say I enjoyed the games and can't wait to be back to try the indoor golf. Plus the workers there were super cute and super nice.

I took my family of five to Shef Brother's Pizza as part of a mini golf / pizza deal that I purchased on one of those deal websites. As my purchased consisted of a pizza that was part of a deal, I cannot fully comment on the pricing of the menu. We ordered our pizza (added a few toppings), ordered a side of cheese fries, onion rings and 5 sodas. The appetizers came out very quickly which was a pleasant surprise. The fries and onions rings were very good. They were not the best I've had, but was much better then I expected for a restaurant that is tied to a "fun center". The staff was very friendly. They even offered to bring me Styrofoam cups for our leftover drinks so that we could take our drinks with us. Seriously... nobody does that... what a nice touch! I was blown away by the space theme in the restaurant... it was amazing. The muralist that painted the walls and did the planets hanging from the ceiling is amazing. We plan on partaking in other specials that they have and will definitely be back.

This is an updated review. My first review was only 1 star... this one is four stars. Quite a leap? Not really:) Let me explain why. My first review of Fore family fun and Shef Brothers pizza was honestly done out of frustration... I made a lot of assumptions on things that were not true at all. Some of which include: Employees of this establishment writing 5 star reviews, Mini-golf prices and bounce castle prices being too much, Food being over-priced, calling them a bar, and a general apathy by the owners. I was wrong in making those assumptions and I apologize. They are definitley not true. I want everyone to know on here that the owner has in fact reached out to me, apologetic, sincere, and wanting to make amends for our experience. To me, more than anything else... that speaks huge volumes. It tells me that he does care, that the business is being run with integrity and professionalism, and that my opinion and experience matters. I'm not sure that I would get the same personal response from a place like Chuck-E-Cheese. Most likely I would get some corporate letterhead advertising free tokens. The owner has actually been very gracious in wanting us to come back to show us how good things can be. The mini golf was really fun! My kids loved it, as did I! Gameroom was fun as well. The bounce castle was being used by a bday party, but was not expensive if we had chosen to go... 5 bucks for unlimited bounce. Try to go to bounce town and get that deal:) The kids loved it. I did not have an entirely good experience with the restaurant part. Our waitress was attentive and was doing her best, however, some of the items we ordered were not up to part. I am chalking that up to just a bad day. The food prices I felt were a little beyond what I would pay... but part of that was just reflective of my experience with what I ordered. The pizza I saw at the next table looked great... I will have to try that next time we go. I will definitley take my family there again sometime soon... the kids fell in love with the space theme... whoever designed that, put a lot of heart and time into it!!! Thank you Greg, for reaching out, letting me know that my experience matters and changing my view entirely on your establishement. In short... if you want to have a fun family outing... this is a place you should visit. I know first hand that if something is wrong... they will do their best to make it right!

Saw a notice on Facebook on this new place which opened May 26, 2011 and it looked like a fun place to go to with my sister and her family which includes my two teenage nieces. Three venues all in one place is not something easy to pull off and not something where everything is always good. They are located in a New Complex off Route 30 and this new venue includes Bogies Indoor Golf Club, Fore Family Fun! and Shef Brothers Pizza which is out of this world with the solar system motif. There is also a whole room of Bouncy Houses. My sister, brother-in-law and younger niece split a 16 inch pizza topped with bacon, tomatoes, mushrooms and easy cheese. There was not one piece left as it was so good. My younger niece the purest when it comes to her pizza had a plain cheese and ate the whole thing for the same reason, great taste. So far I have eaten Italian Beefs in NY, FL, OH, KY, CT, MO, CA, KS, WI & IL. I have eaten at the two famous locals in Chicago Mr. Beef and Al's Beef and I was not impressed. I ordered an Italian Beef with Mozzarella Cheese which came with fries and extra juice for the beef. The beef was wonderful, the cheese perfectly melted and the bread not to soggy, the juice had just the right amount of spice to it. Over the years I have taken my nieces to Chuck E. Cheese and the food there is horrible, I have taken them to Luigis in Aurora and the food there is even worse. When I go to a place that has a fun center for toddlers, kids, or teens I expect the food to be good. Shef Brothers Pizza beets them hands down as well as another Aurora local Eatza Pizza. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a great Italian Beef, pizza and fun. A family restaurant that you have to see to believe.
