I was visiting a relative in this area, and he ordered from Chicago Pizza Authority. I had never heard of this place, but I was pleasantly surprised with the nice, basic sort of pizza we got. We had the double dough cheese pizza. The dough was not greasy and it had a some cornmeal in it. There wasn't too much cheese, and the sauce had good tomato flavor. I'm a big Giordano's fan, but I think I liked the Chicago Pizza Authority double dough cheese pizza better than the Giordano's thin crust cheese pizza. It was a good basic pizza that pleased everybody who was visiting that day.

Should be called Pizza Authority! I can make better pizza at home.

Not sure what happened, we started ordering from here a few months ago and the pizza was great, the last two times the pizza was questionable and not edible. Cheese was sparse and over cooked and no sauce.

Spent $40ish on delivery the ribs were not good, the Penne Alfredo with chicken was just meh, the White Pizza was ok. The guy who took our order was short and not friendly on the phone. Will not be ordering from here again. I read other reviews before ordering from here and typically the reviews are spot on, not in this case, sorry.

I usually order the thin crust with sausage & green pepper. The crust is thin and crispy - perfect! The sauce is just a little bit sweet -pretty good. The toppings all taste fresh - crisp peppers, juicy sausage (...that just sounds wrong) and perfectly gooey cheese. We live ridiculously close, so the pizza is always smoking hot when we get it.. a definite WIN there! As for the service...meh. That's why they're losing a star. The delivery guys are pretty socially awkward & rarely come prepared with change for a cash order. I'm not going to tip you an extra $7 for a small pizza to drive 3 blocks, so bring some singles. (Don't judge me for not walking down to pick up - I have a sleeping baby!) They've also messed up our order twice and when I called to have it replaced, they did a very minimalist apology and then asked if I still wanted my original order. Uh...duh. That's why I called you. Good food, mediocre service... but until I discover something better, I'll be back.

We used to love ordering from CPA, but something has changed. The last pizza we ordered had tons of cheese in the middle of the pizza, but the outside was just sauce. We ordered wings too, which were drowning in buffalo sauce and soggy. Also, we ordered one ranch and one blue cheese dressing. When we got the order, it had two blue cheese dressings. When we opened the dressing it had this hard crusted over film on the top. Yuck! Figure out how to get your old ways back, until then, we'll take our business elsewhere.

Love this pizza!!! I'd give them 5 stars but they have made a couple mistakes here and there and agree, food is sometimes inconsistent. But there is no other pizza around here that compares to CPA. When we experienced a problem, we called and they definitely took care of us. I would recommend CPA to everyone.

The reason I won't order from here can be summed up in 1 word. Consistency. I could order the same dish 4 times and get 4 different versions of it. I don't know what I'm going to get for a $20 pizza. I'd venture a guess that most of it has to do with the little to no leadership at this branch. What do you expect from a bunch of high school sophomores

I'm not sure what's going on with this place but starting last fall we have noticed a big difference. First off, there seems to be a big change over in staff, they are rude and don't seem to know what's going on. The last time that we tried to order a pizza using one of their coupons, I was on the phone for over 15 min trying to place the order!!! I was so disgusted that I cancelled our order and ordered from Danelli's. ( Which is now our go to place in Oswego).

Pan cheese, extra cheese, easy sauce please! Or cheese and sausage thin... Best basic Pizza in area, related to Roasaties I understand. Best to use coupon.

We ordered a pizza and mozzarella sticks. Pizza was decent but the sticks tasted like they were cooked long before I picked up. The cheese was hard. Also, the marinara sauce was barely enough for two sticks. It wasn't even half full

This place is great. I order from there once in a while usually when I have a get together. The delivery people are usually pretty quick and the food is always steaming hot! Sometimes so hot I have to let it cool down a bit but I find that is a good thing because I'm assured that My food wasn't under a lamp for 2 hours before hand. About the food itself: Their pizza is really good. It has great flavor and the ingredients they use are perfect. The green peppers are crisp the sausage is amazing. One of my favorite places for sausage. They have other food there too. One of my favorite things to order is the combo sandwich. It's a sausage and Italian beef together on Italian bread. I always get the extra gravy for dipping. They have desserts and appetizers and drinks and other things. Instead of trying to find out what else they have from me GO TRY IT!

What a great pizza find in Oswego. I've read the reviews of other locations and would steer clear of ordering anyone's pizza on Eola since there's so many great food joints around. Now while venturing on Orchard between Galena to 30 to 34 leaves something to be desired. I was suprised to find such a great pizza within the shadow of Vito & Nicks. Ordered the White Pizza which was awesome! Their take on it had tomatoes which was a nice ad. High doses of garlic though-these leftovers are not for the workplace! Also gave the zucchini sticks a go-perfectly cooked, hot & crispy.

Everything from the appetizers to the desserts are really great here. I was surprised to find such quality in the food, especially the pizza, so far from Chicago. Seriously, this pizza will take the Pepsi challenge against any in this city. They have a kind of pizza I never had/heard of before: double dough. It's a kind of crust that tastes awesome. It's a different style of pizza that tastes great. They baked mostaccioli and the ranch fries are ridiculously good, as well. If you're anywhere near this location, then you'd be doing yourself a favor by stopping by.

This is my pizza delivery go-to spot! The pizza is fantastic! I ordered CPA for everyone helping us move into our new home and everyone enjoyed it and commented how great it was! There are big chucks of flavorful sausage (my favorite). The veggies are fresh too (not out of a can). The sauce though is really what sells this pizza! Delivery has always been fast and friendly too.

Have gone to CPA twice and both times I have done carryout and it has been great. We got a simple cheese thin crust the first time and it was delicious and the crust was nice and crispy. The second time I carried out we had four toppings on the pizza and they put a lot on and did not skimp like other places. If you live around Montgomery or Oswego junction this is your best bet for pizza.

Good if you like cardboard pizza, using Chicago in name takes away from Chicago's reputation of pizza

We decided to give CPA a try last Friday night. We love Vito & Nick's II (see previous review) but wanted to see how CPA would do with the same pizza $10 cheaper. Not bad. The crust isn't as crispy as V&N II but it was okay. What got CPA the extra star from me is the generous portions of toppings. No skimping here. The abundance of gooey melted cheese knocked it out of the park. My only complaint would be that it seemed like they rushed our pizza. The top wasn't as browned as you typically see. We tried to order on line but there was a problem with having to get your email address validated before the order would go through. After waiting 10 minutes for the confirmation email I gave up and called our order in. The girl on the phone wasn't much help with the problem as she didn't know how the on line ordering process worked. Hmmm. I was able to pay over the phone including tip using my debit/credit card. No fumbling for change at the door. Since this is less than a mile from my house we will be repeat customers. BTW....I got my email validation on Sunday.

I called to place my order for pick up. The girl answered the phone and I ordered the XL monster pizza with half cheese only. I was then told my total was $35.44 before tax...I said how could that be the menu says the monster pizza is $26.59. She literally huffed at me (uuuggghhh) and said "that is the price in the computer" and I replied 'did you seriously just huff at me and speak to me like that" she then said no I was talking to my Manager, I asked to talk to that Manager and informed her of my issue. The manager asked who told me the pizza's price was $26.59 and I informed her that her menu did that I had a menu in front of me that shows the price. She said she was sorry but the menu was out dated and then said that her employee was not being disrespectful by huffing she was just frustrated that it was busy. Ok glad to know that it is ok to treat your customers like crap if it is busy. Anyways I cancelled my order. I then realized they were not charging me for an XL monster with half cheese they were charging me for an XL pizza with 9 toppings on half of it. They wanted me to pay more for less.....and then wanted to treat me like I was being a jerk for questioning them. Bad service! Will never return to CPA or Maciano's as they are owned by the same person. There are to many other pizza joints to order from that love their customers!

They don't know how to get special ordesr right...they will always come messed up! I called to complain and the assistant manager argued with me. I live about 3 blocks away, and the food always comes luke warm at best. This is by far the worst restaurant in town! I would not recommend this place to anyone!

By far the best pizza I have had in this area. I enjoy both their deep dish as well as the thin crust.
