The staff is very friendly ,the service is quick. They make the food right of you. I ordered a chicken Philly sandwich with peppers and mayo. It was just okay to me not worth the price. A 6 inch sub is basically about seven dollars. That is way too expensive in my opinion

This area of Niles is saturated with restaurants...yet we never know what to eat when we're in the area - why? cause for the most part the restaurants are ho-hum boring restaurants that we've grown tired of ... thank goodness Jersey Mikes has arrived!! Yes, it's a chain, yes, they're sub sandwiches - but they are a HUGE step above your average sub sandwich. You got your hot, you got your cold - and you definitely got your flavors!! For me the clincher was the fact that when we walked in and had the "We've never been here" looks on our faces, the manager walked us through the menu, gave us some history on Jersey Mikes, asked us what we liked and suggested a couple of sandwiches. This girl is good - she hit it out of the park on both counts. I was starving so the carnivore side of me was in full force, but even so, I don't like THAT much meat on my sandwiches - the sandwich she suggested was perfect - it has some meat, but not that much - it had Provolone, prosciuttini and cappacuolo with all the trimmings (minus onions, plus hot peppers). Damn, I want another now! She took one look at my BF and said, "Now for you..." she knew this guy could probably eat an entire meat locker and suggested a more meat filled sandwich - he was in heaven. Meats are cut fresh when you order your sandwiches, bread is nice and fresh, they offer a variety of chips, fountain drinks, unsweetened iced tea (key for me as this is my drink of choice and it not usually available at most places). All other staff was just as friendly as the manager. Yeah, safe to say that we will be here a few more times when we are in the area...yeah...definitely.

Finally got to try this place. I feel like I scarfed my sandwich when I was there, but that was my own doing trying to stay on track with public transportation. Went to the one in Village Crossing on a Sunday night. It wasn't super busy and the person at the counter was super chipper. Options are many for those that like cold and hot sandwiches which is a plus. I actually kept waffling between wanting a cold or hot meal. I opted for a cold sandwich and went with a mini (5" sub), which I thought was still quite hefty. The bread is pretty solid and quite hefty. I only wished I had a little more meat which kinda got lost in the bread and the gobs of iceberg. I'd probably go back to try a different kind. It's a refreshing change from my JJ go to and definitely a step up from Subway.

This is the second time I have been to a Jersey Mikes. Once in Schaumburg and the second time at the location on Touhy Ave in Niles. Their hot sandwiches are pretty good. I had a grilled pastrami Ruben sandwich. The sandwich has pastrami, Swiss cheese sauerkraut and thousand island dressing. (Tasty). I also put tomatoes, lettuce and onions on it. My wife had Jersey Mike's famous Philly sandwich that comes with grilled onions & peppers. This wasn't too bad, but once you have had a Cheesesteak Italiano all other sandwiches pale by comparison. There were 2 servers at this location. One of the servers was pretty good the other one really didn't seem like he wanted to be there.

Nothing to brag about. ill keep this clear and short. Meatball sandwich not so good. Philly steak was ok. alittle too much cheese. it over powered the taste of the meat. price is way too expensive for the quality. i didnt like the fact that i couldnt order a deli sandwich since they slice the ham and other meats same deli slicer. i dont eat pork and being in skokie im sure there are plenty of customers like me. i wouldnt go out of my way to come back.

Closed, closed, closed, No more. Na, na, na, na, na, na, na,na, hey, hey, hey, good-bye. Adios! They closed their doors about two weeks ago. Find another location people. There is a Jersey Mike's Subs in Park Ridge that I go to once in a great while. There are 13 tables at this location. It is a bit away from the other restaurants on the Northwest Highway strip of fast-food restaurants. It is closer to the corner of Washington and Northwest Highway.

Red wine vinegar for the win! What a difference that makes in a sub. That ingredient itself separates itself from the competition. Sandwiches here are solid. Deli meat is sliced right before your eyes and the topping selections are few and simple. The bread is chewy and soft on the inside yet slightly brittle on the outside. I was impressed by how good the subs are and can't wait to try all of them on the menu. I will gladly stop by any Jersey Mike's in the future.

Everyone's talking about Jersey Mike's coming to Chicago so we had to give it a go. A big fat "meh". Sure, the slicing of the meats when you order is a novelty and I guess that's neat. But the sandwiches were just ok, nothing impressive. For what you get, it's fairly expensive. I would definitely go to Potbelly or Jimmy John's instead for the price. The two guys working the counters were total boneheads. Worst customer service ever.

11/19 I was pleased to come into this Jersey Mike. My sandwich was great! I went with the philly cheese steak. So delicous. The service was even more amazing. Friendly and efficient!

Their sandwiches are always great with fresh ingredients. You get a lot more for your money here than at a Subway sandwich. Friendly staff.

I pickup lunch from this location several times each month, as I work nearby. The staff is always very friendly. I always get a turkey or Italian, and the quality is much better than Subway or Jimmy Johns. They slice the meats to order, and the veggies are always very fresh. The service is fast. It is not the least expensive sub in the neighborhood, but the quality is better. And, if you join their online club, they email coupons on a regular basis to get free chips and drink, with the purchase of any reg sub.

I wish I could say we were overwhelmed by these sandwiches, but we weren't. The ingredients were fresh, but rather bland. We got three different sandwiches and only one came out correct when we got it home. I opted for the "Mike's Way" of topping on mine and felt it was too over done. If I ever go back, it will be when they are not busy and I will select the toppings I want. I also felt they were a bit pricey, but not excessively so. I am giving it 3 stars because they are new in Dodge, everything was very fresh, the service was friendly and the place was clean. I wish them well, but all three of us prefer Subway. Odd, but true. Strangely enough, there is a Subway just a few doors down. Look for us there.

I have yet to hear from anybody at Mike's from my comments made in July (and a follow up call) about the door being locked in my face much sooner that the closing time on the door, won't be coming back soon

First time ever eating at a Jersey Mikes and I must say that I am a fan! I had the Famous Roast Beef & Provolone which I must say was one of the BEST I have had. The beef was just perfectly cook. Prices were reasonable and food was good. The staff members were very attentive and personalities were just AWESOME.

I was excited to see a Jersey Mike's open nearby but was very disappointed with my first visit. I ordered my turkey sub "Mike's Way" and it was soooo soggy I could barely hold it together. I haven't had that problem at other locations so maybe I'll give it one more shot.

I'm always searching for the best Italian sub...I'm gonna try and kill several birds with one stone in this review..... Just had Jersey Mikes first time today. Orderd #13's and #20's. As far as Italian subs, currently my ranking is (drumroll)...1. Bob's Deli and Pantry, 2. Jersey Mikes, 3. JJ's. And yes....I'm venturing into the Harwood Heights area to find other worthy Italian-type sammies. My favorite Italian sub is obviously the one I make for myself at home, but, JM comes close....fresh semi-soft bread, 5 types of freshly sliced meat, provolone cheese (which I hate the American version of, but it seems to be the standerd in the US...they should use Fontina or even a Gorgonzole Dolce would be a better option), LTO, oil+vin+herbs, fin. On the "Walk into the door, place you order, pay, get out" factor...if you order one of their hot subs....you will be waiting a while (15 minutes) for your hot sub to be made. The cold subs will be made comparitively quickly (2-5 minutes...depending on how crowded it is at that time). I witnessed and saw the pain that the one and only guy who was working the small 2' x 18" plancha griddle (at 12:15...lunch rush hour!) without any of the other 8 visible employees offering him any assistance making the Hot sub orders which he obvilously was overwhelmed with...it angered me. He obviously was very fustrated with the volume of orders and had no help. I wanted to jump behind the counter to give him a hand at the plancha and beat the crap out of everyone working there that ignored him. Other than the lack of fuctional grittle surface and personele for them to do their jobs properly making hot subs, the cold sub station was efficient, clean, and the workers had a slight tinge of enthusiazm (spelling) of their work despite that it was very crowded and had a long line of customers. Overall, definately better than Subway, a good step above JJ's. About twice the price as Subway, but hey, its' your money for the quality if you want it. Yes, I will go back.

Do yourself a favor if you're in the area and thinking about dipping into the nearby Subway. Don't. Why buy a sandwich with spongy bread and tasteless lunch meats when there's a better option nearly next door? The staff at Jersey Mike's is strikingly friendly and welcoming. It's refreshing to get such great customer service from a group of people that either really enjoy their jobs or pretend to enough that it seems genuine. "So what's been the highlight of your day so far?" one of the employees asked me as I was looking over the menu. "Uh," I stuttered, unsure of what to say. "I ... guess I really haven't had a highlight." "Well, then coming here for the first time could be it!" he said emphatically, and somewhat jokingly. Sadly, it was no joke. Visiting a chain restaurant really was the highlight of my otherwise pedestrian day. The sandwich was great. I got it "Mike's Way," and also requested it lathered in mayo and topped with bacon to make it as fattening as humanly possible. I've been back a couple of times since then. I guess Jersey Mike's found its way into the rotation of places I'll eat when I'm in Skokie/Niles. I wonder if Chipotle will miss me.

So I thought I'd give Jersey Mike's another spin, and maybe try the sandwich prepared a little differently. When I went in again, I saw they had wheat bread. I don't recall seeing wheat bread there when I went in the first time, so I decided to try it. I made 2 other changes to how my sandwich was prepared. I had them put mayo on, and added pickles. That made all the difference in the world! I felt the mayo prevented the massive amounts of oil and vinegar from soaking into the bread like a sponge, and the pickles added some much needed oomph. The wheat bread also seemed to hold up to all the ingredients better, and so I was very pleased with my Jersey Mike's experience the second time around. So much so, that I've been back several times. I always get the turkey, but with my new choices, I think it's a much better sandwich on wheat, and with the little tweaks to how I get it.

Sandwiches tasted great (got a tuna and a veggie). They service was excellent and both folks behind the counter seemed to be very excited about their work. I let them know that I needed the sandwiches made for travel and that they wouldn't be eaten until later, so they went through extra effort to pack them that way. Also, they were really good about keeping any meat products away from the sandwiches (changing gloves, washing the knives, etc.) and I really appreciated that.

Decent subs.....much better than Subway or Jimmy Johns, that's for sure! Service....very friendly and fast service!!! Price....a little pricey, not crazy expensive, but be prepared to spend a few dollars. Overall...not over the top, but still a good sub if you are looking for one.

Thanks to general mgr Maegan Duffy's suggestions, last night we had for the first time some INCREDIBLY fresh and delicious subs at Jersey Mike's at the Village Crossing Shopping Center in Niles, IL !!! The whole team was welcoming and knew their business when they prepared our late dinner! The cherry tomato salsa was perfect for the #13 sub I devoured!

I have always heard good things about Jersey Mikes, that when I was shopping in Niles yesterday I came across one. Move over Subway, Jersey Mikes may be more expensive but the quality is so much better!! I had just a lame turkey and provolone and my husband had #20. We both was thrilled. We were there about 40 minutes before they closed and the guys behind the counter didn't make us feel like we needed to leave, which you know those places that get annoyed we walk in close to closing time. I say enjoy!

  • Hey U.

For a submarine chain, they are very good. Simple ingredients, good staff and occasional promotions (albeit better in the past). Consistently running out of bread (esp wheat) after the dinner rush hour prevents higher star rating.

I have come here with my wife many times for lunch. We love Jersey Mike's and this location is the closest to our office. The food here always taste great and the staff is super friendly. We have come here so often that today the person making the sandwiches knew my order before I even had a change to say it. I would have loved to give this place a 5 star review, but I had to give them a 4 star only because it is always freezing in there. We eat there all the time so the bread does not get soggy from the oil and vinegar. We always rush our meal because it is so cold! They need to turn up the heat during winter and/or turn down the AC during summer. That is my one and only complaint about this place.

  • Ivana S.

Meh. This place is just like a regular sub shop, not worse or better than any other chain I've been to. After all the hype I've heard about it I was disappointed my sandwich didn't taste like a bite of heaven. That being said, it wasn't the worst I've had either.
