This restaurant should not deserve a star. This was my first time here by the way....When you go to these types of places to eat, you expect fast service. I went to meet up my old co-workers..they both got their food before me. One of the guys (owner I think) saw that I hadn't gotten my food yet...and I suppose they had forgotten about my order and hadn't even started making it yet. After 25 minutes my food was ready and the girl just smiled and said here you go...no apology. I wasn't able to finish my food since my friends had to return back to work. The Chicken Pannini was just ok, but I would not recommend anyone to go here if they expect fast service. Will never return.

If I was to rank the North Shore best "Greek" greasy spoons, this place would come in last. (Dengeos is #1) I have eaten here a few times, when in the neighborhood, but would not make the drive here. Food: Mediocre at best and I have had the gyros, Italian Beef and the chicken kabob. The rice that came with the kabob was dry and lacked flavor. The pita served with entrees is warm, but not toasted; so its still a bit soggy from the flattop. Decor/Etc: West side of the restaurant is well lit, while the east with the plasma tv is very dim. Tables not bussed, as it appears the son that does the expediting also cleans the tables, while mom takes the orders. I guess they do not do enough volume to add another body. Trays, dishes and silverware piled up on the trashcan. Several tables dirty, had to pass a few until I found a clean one. Service: Not much to say, nothing special; not even an "Enjoy your meal" comment when I picked up the food at the counter when they called my tix#. I am stretching this review to 3 stars, more like 2.5

I was very disappointed today....I ordered a Greek Salad with Chicken and a special of the day soup Cream of Chicken.... I found a piece of hair in the soup and was trying to be discreet about it and take it up to the counter, I spoke to them in Greek informing them of my findings so the other customers did not understand... The only response I got from the 2 behind the counter was an "ohhh". No apologies, no refund, nothing.... Then, I get called to the counter to pick up my salad, and again I get no response from them other than "oh wow I bet you are scared to eat now" Really????? this is how you treat customers, I most definitely will not be back, and my co-workers will not return either.

Been many times and always very good and fresh! The owners are very nice and I am not Greek. The lunch kabob with salad and rice for $4.00 cannot beat. The gyros are fresh and not greasy. A great fast, fresh food place for lunch or dinner.keep up the good work Iam a fan.

Goodies has new owners that have been there for about a year. The food is good. I have had their steak sandwich ( Greek style), and their soup is good. The place is always clean and the owner is nice. It's a lot better eating here then Taco Bell or McDonalds. and the prices are in line with the amount of food you get.

This place actually had the audacity to sell me a Greek salad, from out of a bag! The price was a staggering 10.46$ !!!!!!! Eating it i couldn't help feeling, "Dear Lord! This isn't even a good salad, and if I want crap like this I can go to any truck-stop!" I'm a fair man. The previous owners had fair prices. I loved going there especially for the wonderful Greek salad with grilled chicken on top. They were decent people and never had the egotism to charge a jaw-dropping $10.46!!!!! Good Lord! It's only a salad with chicken. NEWS FLASH.....YOU ARE IN NILES, NOT GLENCOE! NOT KENILWORTH! NOT LAKE FOREST! Everybody I know around town, the working people who hold very low-playing, soul-crushing jobs around Niles, constantly tell me they can't afford to eat at places like Goodi's because "It's too expensive." And believe me, I told everybody how great the food at Goodi's was when the previous owners were there. I recently dined in Winnetka, and here's the thing about that...most residents in that community will pay 10.46 for a Greek salad...because most of the people who live in places like Winnetka are doctors, attorneys etc...and they don't get paid 8 bucks an hour! You can charge them an arm and a leg and they might go for that. It would still be greedy to over-charge anybody, but the richest communities in Illinois have money to spend, much more money to spend than the average Niles resident, and that's exactly why you see moms driving Porsche SUVs around the North Shore. But this is Niles! Most residents I meet are hurting. They shop at Walmart for the cheapest food, and eat generic soup out of the can for lunch because they tell me that's the best way to stretch their puny income. Go see what their reaction will be when you tell them you'd like them to pay 10.46 for a salad. You would think being Greek and Christian the owners would feel ashamed even at the thought of serving too-expensive, lousy food. But they seem immune to learning anything that could help their business succeed. If that was my restaurant and I devoted all of my time and energy to it, I wouldn't dare serve food out of a bag to the people of this community and screw them with ridiculous prices. There's a reason PITA INN across the street is overflowing with customers! Goodi's owners have lots to learn, most of all HUMILITY. They don't seem to factor in the cost of losing once great customers, and they don't seem to care about the quality of their food!!! When you work for money and not for love the world always becomes a more miserable place for all of us. The cost of greed should be intolerable to every mother and father on the planet who love their children and love the world and want to see the world become a place of love and happiness for all living beings. Alas, everybody loves to bow down to $$$$$$$$ The consequence of serving lousy food and charging way too much is that once valued customers YELP! to everybody about the bad experience they had, and let them know to never waste their money at Goodi's restaurant. Lastly, it's incredibly selfish forcing all your customers to watch TV and especially the news with all the horrific, tragic events of the world while families are trying to eat a meal. It amazes me that these owners would never dare consider playing pleasant music that actually makes people feel good to be there! Music greatly improves ambience...especially in a restaurant. Television has really become a cancer in our world and you can't sit down to meal without the glowing box of death everywhere you go. It makes the eating experience extremely unpleasant, but good luck trying to express that to the owners of Goodi's. Good restaurants don't need TV! The Pita Inn has played music for thirty years non-stop and I believe it's one of the reason they are successful. Because to be THERE is a happy experience, not a dismal and depressing one. The heart of Goodi's problem...if you don't respect yourself...how can you respect your customers? ~*~

WORST customer service I've ever experienced. The man in the front was extremely polite, however the woman running the counter was so rude that I can't even explain it. She had no patience when my mother was trying to decide what to order and wouldn't give her the price for the specials. Extremely rude and never coming back here again.

I like their burgers and hot dogs. It's not Portillos but they've been around for a while and have really made a name for themselves. I prefer it to Boobi's which isn't too far away.

Food was average. Nothing to rant and rave about. Gyros platter was good. Fries are greasy and not too tasty. Rib tips were good.

Food was above average. Enough to go back. Value was nice. Service was gruff and could've been cleaner. Not much to say here. It was what it was. Would most likely go back but only to satisfy myself. Not enough to impress others. That simple.

The food is greasy and overpriced. The place is always kinda dirty- it definitely needs deep clean and freshen up! Customer service is very poor. I'm not sure if they follow all hygiene protocols from what could be seen at the counter.

American flag just sitting on the ground outside next to the pole it's supposed to be hanging on. Filthy and who knows how long it's been sitting there. I asked the owner or manager about it and they did t seem to care at all. Like I was in the wrong for even asking about it. DISRESPECTFULLY!!!

Great fast food at reasonable prices. The staff is friendly and the restaurant is very clean. I particularly enjoy their gyros and pizza puffs. The soups are also very good. We've frequented this location for years as it's close to home and continue to come back. They also have delivery.

A few years ago, I had a heart problem, so I visit a cardiologist from time to time. Fortunately, I exercise daily and maintain an exceptionally strict health regimen to remain in amazingly good shape for an old fossil. I was returning from a successful checkup where he told me that I am in extremely good shape; so I decided to celebrate by going to a place that had some not-so-healthy food - just this once. I decided upon Goodi's because I had a $5 off coupon, I was going to pass by on my way back, and I had not been there in several years. I did not know that the place had new management, and that it was more of a Greek-style restaurant than the hot dog palace I recall it once was. "Frankly," I think the last time I was there, the place was called Fluky's, a well-known Chicago-style hot dog joint. I vaguely recall that it was sold off 10+ years ago, and the name was changed. They used to attract crowds there on Friday summer nights when they sponsored antique auto owners to display their cars in their lot as an attraction to draw business. Well, I entered with good intentions to order something non-healthy; but I chickened out and ordered a chicken sandwich. The sandwich was listed on their "healthy" menu. Goodi's uses a counter service approach, and the menu resembles what you would experience at a Greek restaurant more than anything else. The restaurant looks a little tired, and could probably use some renovation and deep cleaning I know that many of the reviews were critical of Goodi's, but I experienced none of the negative issues they reported. I experienced no problems with the staff nor with anybody's attitudes. The sandwich was prepared correctly, and I thought that everything was within normal expectations for a place like Goodi's.

This became my family's favorite spot to eat. We always order their Greek chicken. It is just so delicious and cooked perfectly. Everything else we have ordered have been great too. The staff are nice. We have also ordered for catering and I was very impressed by their professionalism. The owner worked with me on how to set up the food on the trays and I really appreciated it. I also believe their prices are fair for the quality of food we receive. Also, the place is always clean and kept clean.

This place is horrible, came in for the first time. The man on the counter whom I think is thw owner was not friendly at all. After reviewing the menu and HIGH prices my son decides to order the two hot dog special which was $9.00 for two hot dog and fries. I then proceed to order from the "SPECIAL MENU" a gyros sandwich as stated in the list and for $9.00 and he proceeds and only charges me a gyros only. When I question my order he yells at me and says that's a SPECIAL which I proceeded and told him that's the one I pointed at!!! Then he says u had to pay more for his misunderstanding! I do t think so! The best part not even two seconds later another customers walks in and orders and he went and ask her "would u like the "SPECIAL" NEVER WOULD I BRING MY FAMILY HERE

  • Michael A.

Food isn't that great, its just alright but the biggest problem is that the prices are ridiculous! $3 for a hot dog! There's a lot of food places in the area that I would rather spend my money on than the low quality food that they serve there.

Went there this weekend as it was it was in the entertainment book with a 50% discount. Placed my order and gave her my phone to get the discount. She said she needed to get the manager as she didn't know what to do??? Manager says it's not the correct coupon? Read the coupon out loud and it was the correct location! He wouldn't take it? Why on earth sign up for the coupon if you won't honor it. Clearly lost a customer! It looked kind of dingy anyway.

So sad this place fell off like it did. I used to come to Goodi's all the time and I loved their food but I think since the ownership may have changed so did the quality of their food. Their gyros was amazing a few years ago I recently went back and it was dry and it just didn't taste right.

They run a buy 1 gyro and 2 drinks and get 1 gyro free deal so I took my girlfriend there for gyros. When we ordered 2 gyros, 2 fries and 2 drinks the lady didn't take the one gyro off the bill. When I asked about the deal she said because I got the meal it doesn't count. So I said that's fine I'll order everything separately so I can get the deal. Even though I ordered the exact same thing, because it wasn't a meal it was $3 more but I assumed I was getting the free gyro. When my order was ready there was only 1 gyro on the plate. When I again said im owed another gyro, the girl then explained to me that because I only asked for the deal the first time, and not the second time after I changed my order, I can't get it (whatever that means). I said I ordered exactly what the deal is, so can't I get the free gyro? But they refused to honor it. I've been here a few times and the food is decent. I just moved and it is right by my house too so I figured I would be a semi regular customer until this happened. Will absolutely never be back. And judging by the other comments it seems like they are severely lacking in the customer service category.

The food was nothing to write home about but was good, american food. I've driven by a few times and didn't notice the place until they had some car show going on. I think this may have been a place called flukeys I loved as a child. I didn't get the same vibe.

Havent been here since it changed owners. Not bad food, still hood proces for the amount. They have more selections and deals. Had the half chicken kabob n gyros with rice n salad. Rice was good, the gyros was a little to salty, the chicken was good. The salad is all lettuce. It wasnt bad, ill go back again n retry it. I was k with it.

The manager itself won't let me pick on the strawberry cheesecake I wanna buy he said that they all the same size and it's obvious that they all different size , I can't beleived that he can't even reach to get what the consumer wants just to make sale , this place sucks and I will not comeback ...also the food is so expensive

Diner with Greek/Mediterranean options. I've only had the gyros platter/sandwich. Every time I've gone here, it's been pretty empty. The pita is definitely made with butter. So unhealthy but so tasty! The meat flavoring is the closest taste to Zorba's (of Champaign, IL notoriety) that I can find up north. Cafeteria/diner-like setting. Not the cleanest and they don't regularly wipe off the tables as far as I could see. Not great. But not bad. Order to go or just eat at a fast pace.

Food: Under new management and the chicken kabob is very good now and more flavorful and generous then prior owner's version. Place looks the same just new management. I can't comment on the rest of food since this is the only go to item I always get. But it compares very good to other kabob's I have had. Service: If you get take out, make sure to check your order. I had issue with mine and then guy comes in upset because they messed up his order too. They got a very young girl working the front and she could care less to be there and get your order right. No apologies from the girl, but ones from the management staff. Perhaps she is family but its not doing this business no good.

Goodi's has been at this location for a number of years. I decided to give it another try after seeing their UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT signs. To my knowledge, nothing has changed to the build-out or decor--it looks just like it did under the old management. Their menu is extensive and a bit odd. For example, they offer both a regular and deluxe hamburger. The deluxe, I believe comes with lettuce and tomato for an additional fee. I ordered a chicken kabob sandwich. I've had this sandwich at Booby's and Dengeo's, so I have a basis for comparison. You place your order with a cashier and they call your number to pick up your food items. My sandwich was served on a very tiny pita bread, contained few pieces of tomato and grilled onion, besides the four pieces of chicken. The chicken was tender without a lot of flavor. The portion size was small for its $5.95 price. There is a self-serve Coca Cola fountain. For me, tastier food at a better value can be obtained at Celli's Beef, a bit south of Goodi's, on Milwaukee Avenue (near Oakton).

NO NO NO! Beware!!! I used to live close to here and I used to come here all the time with the previous owners. I saw the new sign and decided to stop in with my husband to find that it was under new management. I should have known to step out when I watched the miserable manager or new owner or whatever he was "Mr. Costa" as he called himself behind the counter yelling and scolding an elderly woman (with white hair) for finding a short black hair in her BBQ sauce. First! The prices have gone up SIGNIFICANTLY...We ordered a 1/2 BBQ chicken with Greek potatoes (I actually has asked for 1/2 rice and 1/2 Greek potatoes that I used to get all the time but for some reason that wasn't allowed any longer) and then we ordered a chicken wrap with French fries and an order of cream of chicken soup and a drink. It was over $30!! for 2 people...at a horrible fast food restaurant....with HORRIBLE SERVICE!!! The BBQ chicken was so dry I was prying away at it with my teeth I thought that I could disguise the taste with more BBQ sauce. They had forgotten to give me a little cup with my original order and I went up and asked Mr. Costa for my side of sauce. He argued with me for about 10 minutes about the little cup of sauce and actually came to my table to see if I was lying or not. Then when he realized he didn't give me one he stomped behind the counter and slammed a cup on the counter...no sorry or anything!!! SO OBNOXIOUS!! The soup should be called "chicken and water soup" It was so gross, and went straight in the trash. The Greek potatoes must have been like a week old and smelled deep fried and the French fries were undercooked and cold on the inside. The wrap was nearly empty inside and all pita bread. The plate was DRIPPING in grease and the sandwich was practically slipping out of my hands. The portions were also much smaller. With Mr. Costa's behavior I wouldn't be surprised if he had counted each and every French fry that went on to a plate. NOT TO MENTION! I went up for my FIRST refill and Mr. Costa SCREAMED from behind the kitchen. "ONLY ONE REFILL!!!" Holy Cow...I was totally blown away by that... NEVER AGAIN. If I wasn't afraid that he would have slapped me I would have told him what I thought of his food as well....I just hope that this Review gets my point across. No wonder his restaurant was empty.

Greek owned......I could say enough said but I have to rave about the Athenian Steak dinner. Now...I was under the impression it was a a steak sandwhich....Nope. (Not Chuck Testa) Got a small side of garlic bread but decent amount of meat....anf boy was it good and tasty....my buttdy got fries but I got potatoes. I didn't move for an hour.....apparently...the owner used to work there before and wanted to... I will come back . My friend also and thouroughly enjoyed our repast.

We found out they were under new ownership and we decided to go. I loved bar-b-que chicken so I ordered that, & it was good-but there was very little chicken, and what was there was, old, cold and tough (Where's the beef?) such a stingy portion! -also, my baked potato was as old as Moses, and hard too. My husband ordered Gyros and it was a 4- on a 1 to 10 scale. The owner is cold and seems more interested in wiping his new granite counter top than his customers. To sum it up, the prices went up but the food portions and quality went way down. For over $25. we should have left feeling FULL.-instead we left hungry-- It's fast food! We should have been stuffed. Not for us. nope..no more.

Not impressed mainly with the High Prices. I thought it used to be a good place. Took along time for just a hotdog to arrive and the fries were cold. I thought it would all be hot after that wait. I didn't get a gryos which is what the place is known for so that might better. Place is clean and comfortable but I didn't enjoy. Gave it two stars for prices and food quality. Won't be back anytime soon.

Ugh What a disappointment. Wasted $11.20 Got an Italian Beef, Dipped with hot peppers and Moz, Onion Rings and a lge soda. The beef was inedible. Dry (I guess they do not know what dipped means??!!) and tasteless. The portion was HUGE but since it was inedible, that means I just threw out more food! Onion rings were frozen and not fresh. And I hate diet Pepsi. Counter service was surly and the wait was about 10-12 people with only 2 other couples in the restaurant. Save your money and go to a place that actually cares.

  • Nicole B.

Decided to give Goodi's another chance today. My husband and I ordered gyros sandwiches. The meat seemed barely cooked and tasteless, my sandwich was drowned in sauce, both had 2 skimpy tomato pieces, huge slices of onion on an uncooked pita. Extreme disappointment. Never again.

Growing up in the area, Goodi's was a common dietary staple for me. The food here is amazing and the staff are super friendly and welcoming at all times. This is THE place to go for gyros or cheeseburgers and hotdogs. The beef and pork kabobs are amazing and when served on a bed of rice with feta and some hot peppers, its mothers milk. now when you really wanna splurge, the ribs are the way to go. this place is great. DIA!

Good skirt steak sandwiches. Gave 4 stars bc I was a bigger fan of previous owners re: customer service. Would have given 5 w/ old skirt steak previous owners put out, but this one's not bad - just almost no bbq sauce, and after seeing the owner get visibly upset at some friendly advice to start accepting Amex, and watch as he vents to all of his employees in the back about it, I was afraid to ask for the sauce. Soo..We argued, needlessly, over their inability to accept Amex. I simply told them some people may not come back and the owner got bent out of shape. If he reads this, I suggest he reads this very relevant link I'm providing and consider himself lucky that I gave it 4 stars. I am genuinely not going back, though.. Not because of them not taking Amex, but because the owner should put someone in charge with customer service skills and a bigger brain for business. Additionally, he countered me with "I break even on skirt steaks." I must say he should probably consider taking advice, or hop online to see that it's not as simple as losing .75% on a sale by taking Amex. Just a bad businessman who must like making food. Unfortunately the 4 others with me also won't be going back due to his poor service. Oh, and when provided another credit card (Mastercard), and swiped it, he said it was declined rudely and gave it back without re-attempting or manually entering the digits. I also needed to make him do that, which he didn't seem happy about. Penny wise and pound foolish. Perhaps he'll read the article below and realize that he's a bit short sighted. boss.blogs.nytimes.com/2…

I strayed from my own advice and got a skirt steak sandwich. Of course, we were dumb enough to ask the lady behind the counter if it was any good. She said "oh yeah it's a good sandwich". Well, it sucks. They drown it in BBQ sauce to mask the blandness of the chewy meat. It's the lowest grade cut they can get of skirt steak, and it shows. That was my last trip to Goodi's. Salerno's and Boobi's blow this place off the map.

I never tried this place But i am going to try it before I leave for chicago (des plaines is not chicago.... it a outskirt town of chicago). Anyways it seems like a outstanding business in a good location. Though I was always intimidated by how the building looks.

Yay! The best thing about my new part time job is that it is next to Goodi's! Another nurse and I, for lunch break from a a boring, ahem, I mean wonderful orientation. We decided to walk next door for lunch. They have almost everything here. From hot dogs, ribs, baklava, carrot cake Had a hot dog, fries and diet pepsi. Food given in timely manner. And yummy! In Niles, if you wanna get your baklava fix on dis is de place

Too bad they took over Fluky's - Goodi's has okay food, nothing to write home about, and it seems to take a while for the staff to cook your order. Gyros are just okay and edible, skirt steak sandwich has meat that is very tough to chew (should be tenderized a bit more), but that is the extent of what I ate there - otherwise, they have the usual salads, burgers, dogs. Unless if you don't want to go to the crappy food court in Golf Mill shopping mall or the blah Taco Bell nearby, I'd try to avoid Goodi's when you can go for better food at the Works towards the east or Photo's in the west...

The soup, the best. The Gyros sandwiches wow plenty of food and a great prices. The owners are there with the kids all cook and all serve. I eat out almost every day they are so friendly and willing to make anything you ask for. My wife loves the grilled chicken and there is so much, you end up taking some home. This restaurant is a measurement on how good other places could be. Wish they were in Phoenix.

This is your average hamburger/hot dog place with a pretty diverse menu of regular fast food items as well as some dinner items. It seems like this place is a cross between a fast food place and a formal restaurant which probably is why their menu is very extensive. The food here is pretty average, and one cannot go wrong with eating at this establishment. My only quibble is that the prices here are a bit on the high side. Besides that, the service here is quite good, and the food is decent. One will not be disappointed eating here.

Like YDK, I remember this as Fluky's, when we were in high school and would come here for the impromptu classic car show every Friday night during the summer. Over the winter one year, Fluky's went bye-bye and along came the new owners, which were very clear about not wanting the car show to continue. Losing one of the few halfway decent forms of entertainment my hoodlum friends and I had that didn't cost any money, I boycotted the place. This was probably around 1995. Fast forward to December, 2008. I forgot about my boycott (old age) and we stopped in here to get a snack. The lady working the counter was a stitch! She joked around with us while we figured out what we wanted, and when I said that I didn't need fries; I'd just have some of my girlfriend's. She turned to her and said, "Don't let him take your fries! Maybe one. Put salt all over it so he won't want any more!" You probably had to be there, but she was a lot of fun. The food is definitely made to order because it was all hot, fresh, and tasty. You heard the one about Irish Alzheimer's Disease, right? You forget everything but the grudges. However, for Goodi's, I will let bygones be bygones and suspend my boycott.

Don't recommend eating here. The cheese sauce is sour and water down. Lamb meat is meh. Its dark and dreary, but they have two large screen TVs.

Just a greasy spoon place. The one thing that stood out was the "M" Burger. It has an omelet on it and some other stuff. The sign says it was inspired by Steelers runningback Rashard Mendenhall. I didn't believe it, but then my friend pointed out the autographed photo posted behind the counter. So there you go. I would say pass on this place unless you feel your burger really needs an egg.

Im giving Goodis 4 stars beacuase yes it takes a minute for your burger and the American burger is huge and delicious. I has a huge pattie loads of onion tomato letteuce. The reason for the long wait is that its made to order no pre-made like most fast food places. Ive never had anything there that I really had to complain about. Hubs is their sister joint in Skokie but the Goodis burger is better

I've been to a ton of Greek carry-out restaurants in both the city and suburbs, but Goodi's is by far the best. I was the most impressed with how incrediblely clean the restaurant was inside, and by the huge portions of really high-quality food you get for a cheap price. Everything is fresh and cooked to order, so while you do have to wait 5 minutes for your order to be ready its a small price to pay to have your food served to you hot off the grill. I loved their lentil soup so much I asked how it was made, and was pleasantly suprised to learn that it was homemade and cooked that morning. The chicken kabob was a huge portion of juicy chunks of chicken breast and grilled onions, Greek rice, hot pita bread, and yummy white taziki sauce. There are free refills on drinks and a huge outdoor patio area as well. All in all, Goodi's is a complete hidden gem in Niles and the surrounding areas. I couldn't believe how good the place was and I think other people will be pleasantly suprised as well.

Goodi's is delicious! Definitely 5 stars. To begin with this restaurant is located in Niles, very spacious and casual cozy restaurant. They have a very large menu at a very good price. The family that owns Goodi's is always around, they treat everyone so nicely and genuinely care for their customers. The staff is unbelievably friendly, they all take the time to make sure they know your order correctly, conversate in the meantime, and take care of your order. It's ready within 10-15 minutes, soemtimes even less. The food is beyond delicious! I love their homemade tziki sauce. They present their food very nicely and give a good (medium/large) serving size, I can barely finish the whole thing. The chicken kabob was absolutely delicious. I highly recommend coming here if you're looking to grab some quick good Mediterranean food.

I am a road warrior and eat out often. I found Goodi's by accident and what a find. The food is good, I especially enjoy the ribs and the deserts are excellent. But what I really enjoy is the family environment. Everytime I walk in they recognize my face even though it's been months since I've been back. There is a comforting feeling being there. My company branch HQ is here and many of us rotate through here several times per year. Since I first found this place I drag my groups here. My guys rave about the food, the prices and the atmosphere and it's quickly becoming our hot spot. See you there......

My dad and I like this place. I have been coming here since I was little, about 10 plus years ago. It is a greek place, so they have just about everything there. It is kind of a fast food place, but they do have home cooked stuff like roasted chicken and baked potato, or pasta's and stuff. They have the reg fast food stuff like hotdogs, hamburgers, gryos, subs, sandwiches, stuff like that. They do have good hotdogs, and good roasted chicken, and my dad likes the italian sub. Its a great place for a fast pick up on the go, or you can sit there at a booth and eat also.

You get what you pay for here. The chicken kabob is pretty good here but everything is a meh.

Typical Chicago greek/gyro/burger place. Not a joint as the inside is huge and the staff is also very friendly. Typical fare that you'd expect at a place like this (gyro, kabobs, burgers, dogs, ribs, etc). Food is pretty good and worth trying, although very similar to many other places. Service is fairly slow as people have mentioned.

I've now been here twice, this last time was today and I shouldn't even have had to go... we wanted gyros for lunch, and there's really no where around our house to get them... or to get a good one, so I suggested that my husband try heading over here to get them. So off he went, and it was a pretty quick trip, only picking up 3 gyros, an order of shrooms and 2 orders of fries. 2 gyros with everything and one with sauce only... they got 2 out of three right, but the sauce only turned into 'no sauce'. Now it was a problem, because it was carry out and we didn't know until he got home... normally not a big deal except that on the drive there EVERY street that is quick is under construction and those that aren't are slow moving. Okay, 15 minutes later I'm there and telling them what happened. The girl behind the counter actually says to me, "Oh, yea, I can see them making that mistake." Really? Then why doesn't anyone check! So I get my replacement food quick, but when I tell her than it took me 15 minutes to drive back (and she had to go through like 20 tickets to find the one from my order to confirm they made the mistake) she doesn't offer anything, not even a soda, to comp me for my time to come back and get the correct food. BAD! I'm not a fan of not giving a customer something for their time. I didn't ask for anything, but the point is that I shouldn't have to. When I told her it took me that long to get there she should have either offered to give me the food and my money back or offered me something for free... and she didn't. It sucks too... the food was good, but the service was so lacking I will not likely go back. Too bad!

I had the greek half chicken with sweet potato fries. The fries were ok, but the chicken was absolutely outstanding. It was cooked perfectly. Even the white meat was moist. I look forward to trying their burgers.

In Niles Greek gyro places still come complete with Greek accents, and Goodi's leads the charge. Great burgers and gyros and reasonably priced half rotisserie chickens keep me fat and happy. The decor was probably depressing in 1974 and continues to be unfortunate, but I don't go there for the ambiance.

we return to the area just to get goodis. they have the largest and tastiest gyros plate i have had- and i have had my share of gyros. seasoned just right, the gyros is exactly what you are expecting. can't stand when you order gyros and it tastes like a burger or something else not gyros. the staff is pleasant and authentic.

A typical diner but with really funny characters behind the counter. They made me laugh. Also I have to say that their chocolate cake is the best I have had in a very, very long time. Who knew?

All i have to say is Chicken Kabob!! By far the best chicken kabob in the area. I've tried chicken kabob's at many greek fast food restaurants in the area (dengeos, hubs, east/west of edens) and this is BY FAR the best and cheapest!! In regards to other food, it's hard for me to comment as I've never really ordered anything else from there. However, from what I've seen their other items look very appetizing as well -- I just prefer chicken. As for service, everyone is always very friendly and goes out of there way to make sure you have a good meal. In a nut shell, if you're looking for a great chicken kabob/meal on a budget, this is your place!

The typical Greek/gyro fast food place with above average food and slow service. Everything except salads seems to be made to order. Their chicken is so good that it does not need any kind of condiments or sauces on it. The chicken kabobs are amazing and the Gyro very tender. The baklava was sweet and moist. They also have ribs, steak, burgers and hot dogs. If not for the slow service, I would have given Goodi's four stars. You might have better luck with take out, especially ordering ahead.

Yes, I must admit they are a bit slow. But their pizza puffs are AMAZING. I could eat them all day and I don't even like pizza! Their chicken was pretty good, and their burgers are alright. But everyone is friendly and I have seen the same people there since I started going there. It is literally a few blocks from my house so I like to go a lot and get myself pizza puffs for lunch. I really like their food. :)
