I went here on Sunday after church. I start off by saying it's cute inside. Me and family were sitting at a table which was really close to another table. So it is very uncomfortable in there. It could just be me but I like room when I eat. Well because we were so close to the other table we over heard them saying how bad there service was. Not off to a good start. Waitress came over and greeted us. Very loud lady. Almost awkward how loud and fast she was talking. Well we placed our order and as she left she told us she was also the owner so don't me mad if some else serves your food!! WTF!! While waiting for our food we were just people watching and we saw go to another table and tell them the same thing. Again maybe just me but weird. We got our food about 25 minutes later. So not the quickest place in town. Omlete had the wrong ingredients. Ugh!! Here we go. Never got our side of bacon we ordered. Just a mess.. Not very professional at all. We I asked about our kids juice which is suppose to come with the pancake. I got an attitude and a older lady with short hair placed it on the table and left. WTH!!! Is going on at this place. Not one employee looked like they wanted to be there... Food horrible, service even worse!! Suggested...... Don't go here . Owner lady... Instead of telling people you are the owner. You should respect your customers and not offend them. Knowbody cares who owns what. Just came there eat and leave. I hope read this and learn from it cause you are not doing a good job!!

Sigh... Cooks still don't know what MEDIUM RARE means.. STAY AWAY FROM THE PORK CHOPS, unless you like them flat, tough and chewy. I traded them in for a chicken on pita.. Good soups. I had the tomato Rosa marina, and my husband had the cream of vegetable.

Recently stopped in for breakfast. Both the service and the food sucked. Place was half empty yet I had to wait 15 minutes to get a cup of coffee from a waitress with an attitude. Ordered the eggs and pork chops, eggs weren't cooked to order and the pork chops we so tough and fatty couldn't eat them. Just a horrible restaurant.

Absolutely my favorite place to go for breakfast in New Lenox. The soup is always fantastic and the staff is incredibly friendly. The cream of chicken soup is my favorite!

We went here for lunch and couldn't believe how amazing the food was. It's nice to see a restaurant with quality food and service open in my hometown. My wife and I both started with the Chicken and Rice soup with was out of this world. They post their fresh soup of the day on their facebook page and boy was it fresh. Each sandwich comes with soup and fries so you never leave hungry. My wife ordered the Monte Cristo and I ordered the Greek Chicken Pita. Both sandwiches and seasoned fries were out of this world. I can't wait to go back and try the breakfast. New Lenox needed a cafe of this caliber.

4th visit here. I ordered a Denver omlett to go. Greatest omlett ever. They give you alot of food too. One more thing. The map on YELP is incorrect. Someone needs to fox the map so ornery people can find this place. Highly recommended for breakfast.

We went here for our first time on Sunday morning. I was very pleased to see they had pumpkin pancakes. The pancakes were amazing. Huge portion and delicious. It was very busy, but someone came to our table almost immediately to let us know our waitress would be right with us. The service was great and the food was awesome. I can't wait to go again on Sunday. It seems very family-centric and I like that since I have two small children.

Nice place for a well prepared, hearty, fairly priced breakfast. The owners are really nice people. They were very busy. Only tip the bus staff seemed like they could use a bit more training which would have helped to take some of the load off the servers, I felt bad asking her for more coffee.

Excellent food. Tasteful ambiance. Family friendly and inexpensive. Owners have 20 years experience in the business and it is evident. Will definitely come back again and again.

Stopped there with my wife on a Sunday at noon. Ordered a buffalo chicken wrap and a taco salad After 20 minutes was told it would be right up. By now at least 3-4 families had sit down. 20 minutes later still nothing. By now our waitress was avoiding us. All the newer arrivals were eating. Got up and left. Won't be back.

Breakfast with the parents and the in-laws for the holidays! And we picked the right place! I had the Country fried steak breakfast and I rate place on their sausage gravy! This place has some GOOD gravy! The steak was well seasoned and the gravy was tasty! The eggs were a perfect over easy and my hasbrowns were that nice in between crisp yet soft potatoy! The boy ordered the Steak and eggs. He said that this was probably the best breakfast steak he's had in a while! (wow!) He devour the whole plate! Mom had the Breakfast sammich on rye. They gave her over easy eggs instead of over hard, but no worries. The rest of the sammich was tasty. The Dad-in-law had the Irish skillet. He had never had hollandaise sauce before and now he loves it! The Mom-in-law had the Denver omlet and she enjoy every tasty, eggy bite of it! The service was great. Our waitress was very attentive and I'll be sure we get back here soon!

No this is not a 5 star restaurant but it is an eatery that delivers everything one would desire for a neighborhood cafe - excellent, friendly service, nice atmopsphere, huge portions of food at great prices, and a varied and interesting menu executed perfectly. In the 10 days that I was visiting family, we ate there three times. On our first visit, it was three egg vegetable omelet, bacon, fruit and a turkey reuben. Second time, was a breakfast burrito with onions, sausage, cheese and peppers and eggs benedict. Lastly we sampled the belgian waffle and roast turkey panini with avocado, bacon, pepper jack cheese, spinach and chipoltle mayo. The sides like the hash browns and fries were excellent. Hot, not greasy, and nicely crisped. The russian dressing on the reuben and the spicy mayo on the panini, were especially good. It was nice that both came in separate containers so that you could control how much of the spread went on. It just makes such a difference when you use fresh ingredients, and have a chef that cares about what he/she is serving even if it is your more basic comfort food items. We had Emily as our server on our first and third visits. Even though the place was full she never rushed us as there was a lot of catching up to do with my dining companion. She was patient, friendly, accommodating and helped seal the deal push my rating to a five star experience. Thanks Emily!

What a nice surprise! My hubby got the turkey avocado sandwich. The meat was so fresh!!! Not that deli meat either. REAL meat. I got the stuffed tomato and they subbed out the fruit for the kinds I prefer. Soup was okay but nothing fantastic. One waitress seemed pretty bothered. However, our waitress was nice and friendly. Owner was outgoing guy who made it a point to welcome us. Strongly recommend going here. Great portions with great prices.

Went last Sunday for breakfast. Food was very good! The Waitress was Awful! She was wearing a Blackhawks jersey Duncan Kieth. She forgot my toast then she brought the bill and remember about my toast, she said sorry I will bring it right away. Well she never came back with the toast or to check on us to see how everything was! The rest of the staff seemed to be very good!

Food was good. Gluten free pancakes were delicious. The Service could be better. There seemed to be two waitresses but our waitress was running around everywhere. We had to wait a while for refills, napkins, the bill... Maybe they were short on waitresses. We'll give this place another try.

Came here for a quick lunch but unfortunately it turned into an hour of waiting. Why? I'm not sure as the place is not that big nor were they busy. The waitress we had was just plain...not good. It took her 15 minutes to come back to our table to take our orders. She brought soup...no crackers or bread, took a total of 10 more minutes to receive that after asking. We saw several individuals who had come in after us receive their food but the waitress never stopped by and said anything else to us concerning how we were or where our food was. After almost an hour we asked to receive our food in to-go containers as lunch was over for us. After tasting my food (a soggy chicken Caesar wrap) I can honestly say I will not be returning. Horrible service and lackluster food.

I think I just found myself a new place to have breakfast at on the weekends. The service was good for the occasion (the place was packed) but the food came out quick and was very tasty. Teardrop is the best value for the buck in the New Lenox area hands down. I just hope the owners don't get greedy like a most places and start sacrificing quality for a few extra pennies because I really like this place and I hope it sticks around.

Freaking love this place. Best breakfast in town! Waitresses are super nice and overly concerned with comfort. Everything on the menu is great!

We went here for lunch based on all the positive Yelp reviews and were glad we did. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating to my low carb dietary needs. I ordered the "stuffed tomato" with tuna salad, but asked for a stuffed avocado instead with veges on the plate instead of fruit. Ate everything. Delicious! Mother ordered the turkey and avocado panini and loved it. Prices are very reasonable and loved the charming atmosphere. We'll be back for sure.

So glad I discovered this place. You can tell the food is made with fresh ingredients. I'm not really a breakfast person but I consistently find myself ordering breakfast because it's so good. Haven't found the time to try the lunch or dinner menu but I'm going to get there. The staff was very attentive and took care of everything we needed. The atmosphere is clean and cozy and unrushed. I think I found my new regular place in town, my only fear is the rest of New Lenox will find this place and I won't be able to get in anymore. To conclude I have zero complaints about teardrop café nothing but compliments and praise for the place.

This restaurant is gaining in popularity in New Lenox and for good reason. I made my first visit recently and was pretty impressed. The food and service was very good. For coffee drinkers, the coffee was decent, with a fairly bold flavor. The restaurant also provides flavored cream. The portion sizes were also very good with plenty left over for a second meal. Price-wise, they were average for this type of restaurant. Overall, I would say that Teardrop is currently the best breakfast place in New Lenox.

This is a cute little cafe near my new house that I decided to try out. It was very clean and updated decor so that's a plus. I just ordered the turkey melt with cream of mushroom soup and I'd give it 3/5 stars. The soup was flavorless with sliced mushrooms from a can which I so wish it wasn't. The sandwich just had turkey and cheese so it was so bland I added salt to it for flavor. I will go back to try breakfast instead. The service is great 5/5 for that.

first time being here. i just got basics eggs, toast, bacon, & hash browns. all delicious. i also ordered hot black tea which they brought out a little plate with a mini kettle, a cup, honey, & a lemon wedge :) i like that this place is kind of a hideout hidden in the strip mall. the lighting is nice and soft. the ceiling and tables are cool but id prefer a place with a more eclectic-y vibe with some art instead of the 'live laugh love' decals on the walls; but i'm kind of a hipster so yeah. overall i like it & i will be back. i choose this place over country charm. simple & comfortable & good service.

I don't know how they came up with the name for this restaurant; eating there will not make you cry-unless it's tears of happiness. My husband and I stopped in for lunch after church yesterday. I had the chicken artichoke pannini, which came with a bowl of delicious cream of chicken and rice soup and seasoned waffle fries. Everything tasted great! Combined with the very reasonable prices and the attentive, friendly wait staff, we'll definitely be back! I've already made plans to meet a friend there for breakfast Saturday. :)
