The manager, Steve, is incredibly friendly and nice. Chicken Burrito was delicious. My order was made incredibly quickly, faster than most Mexican places I've been to. The atmosphere is nice and simple. What makes the place so amazing, is that it's attached to Esteban's which has an awesome vibe and feel to it. After an awesome dinner, why not burn off the calories with some latin dancing? The place was packed, but there's still plenty of room to bust a move. I definitely enjoyed my time there and will be back!

I placed my second GrubHub order for this establishment, and was so disappointed. My guac was a healthy color this time (chips were still cold). But, my taco dinner (two beef tacos with rice and beans) were a failure. I ordered them with onion and cilantro. They arrived "gringo style" even though I specifically stated "onion and cilantro only" in the instructions box. The rice tasted funky and the beans were barely warm. Done with this place.

They are always kind, prompt and the food is always good. Nothing really bad to say about it- if you're hungry for tacos or burritos that are fairly cheap, this place is definitely what you're looking for.

I get their food catered to my office for business lunches, and it's always a hit. I usually order the steak & chicken fajitas, with all the fixings. I have only dealt with Steve the owner, who is very thorough and friendly. Great prices and great food! The only negative with my experience is the food was delivered about a half hour late, so had to stretch the meeting out longer. However, that was the first time they delivered to our suite, the second time it was about 15 minutes late. They did get better and I planned accordingly, after the first experience. I think this is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants around here in the burbs, and now the preferred choice at my work.

I went here with a friend during off peak hours. The service was friendly enough and the food came out relatively quick. Unfortunately, they didn't have horchata which I feel is a much have at any respectable Mexican place. I ordered the steak fajita platter which I thought was smaller in portion than what I was expecting. The beans and rice were of standard fare for an order-at-the-counter place. The steak and peppers were decent but nothing out of the ball park. It could have use a little bit more flavor and charring. The place was clean and their salsa are pretty good - nice flavor and fresh. Verdict? If I happen to be in the area and crave cheap, decent Mexican food, Mexican Grille is the place to be. Otherwise, I wouldn't specifically go to this place especially if there was another order-at-the-counter Mexican place closer by. If you find yourself in the area and craving Mexican, check this place out.

I've lived across the street from this place for a little over 3 years, and it has opened/closed their doors at least 3 times. I would say more like 4-5, but I can't be totally sure. All I know is that at least once a year, they have signs all around the front of the strip mall that say something along the lines of "Now Open!" or "Grand Opening!" and my husband and I always laugh because when we walk in, its the exact same restaurant, EXCEPT #1: they paint the walls and #2: they rearrange the menu a bit. I have never been there for lunch so I cannot comment on their lunchtime service. But for dinner, there's always been 1-2 people working there. 1 cashier and 1 cook. OR, in the case of last night, 1 cashier/cook. Another person walked in to place an order right after we placed ours, and so she didn't even start making our food until after the other person was finished placing the order. Good thing there wasn't a line or anything, because it would've taken FOREVER to get our food. But alas, I can't complain too much...I ordered a chimichanga dinner for about $7.25, and holy crap. It was a burrito-sized chimichanga! I've never in my life seen a chimi this large. It was fried to golden perfection and stuffed with chicken, cheese, and beans. It wasn't covered with any salsa or cheese or anything, which was kind of a bummer, but it was still really freaking good. The beans and rice that came with it tasted funny, like they were reheated or something. My husband ordered al pastor tacos...even though he didn't get sour cream on them like he asked for, he said he was pleasantly surprised at how good they were. He's had his mind made up forever that El Famous Burrito has the best al pastor and he's criticized every other place since them for having mediocre al pastor. So I was really surprised when he said it was "pretty good." So anyway, this place probably deserves more like 3.5 stars. I take away the stars for inconsistency. It's opened and closed many times and changed up their menu (slightly) many times, so the food quality is always a bit different. The first time we went there, it was AMAZING. The second time, it was not good whatsoever. The third time fell in the middle somewhere. We never knew what we were going to get. We went back yesterday after another "Now Open" sign popped up, thinking maybe it would be good this time. I would give it 4 stars for service this time around, but 3 stars for my overall experience over the past few years.

I came in for lunch. Chips and salsa were great! Carne Asada tacos were nothing special. The shredded chicken tacos, on the other hand ... were GREAT! I'll come back for more of those :p

this place was and is a complete JOKE. food was absolutely horrible. i have gotten a better burrito from el famous or taco bell. it came barely above room temperature. they are only open for like 3 hours a day at lunch otherwise its a dining room/add on for club e (which is a shit hole nightmare review for another time) the girl behind the counter had the snobbiest attitude you could imagine for such a small dive resturant

I used to work near this place and I walked by it all the time thinking it would be crappy strip mall Mexican food. I have never been more wrong in my life. I ordered steak tacos on corn tortillas, and I have never been able to order any other kind of taco because the steak tacos are just too amazing. Sometimes to supplement my taco order I get the nachos and share them with a friend or two. They have nacho cheese, regular cheese, beef, veggies, sour cream...pretty much the works. Oh, and the green sauce they have does not disappoint. The price is right and every time I'm in Naperville I have to have these tacos. Some of my friends even refer to the Mexican Grille as "the magic taco place." My only complaint (which is barely one) is that they change their hours kind of frequently. They used to be open until 3AM on the weekends but sometimes it's only until 11PM.

I originally thought this place was going to receive 5 stars from me, as well, but after trying out 4 items from the menu I give it 3. For $5.50 you do receive a steak burrito the size of your head but that's just about the only thing worth its price. For around $6.50 each for dinner platters, we ordered an enchilada, chile rellenos, and steak tacos. The enchilada was nothing to rave about since it consisted mostly of corn tortilla and cheese. You get two enchiladas, a small portion of refried beans, and a measly serving of Spanish rice. The chile rellenos dinner platter was a little better, but trust me, I've had better! Two deep fried peppers, some cheese in the center that wasn't stuffed all the way, and two of the same contemptibly small sides makes for over $6, as well. The steak tacos platter was actually the best one, in my opinion. You still only get two tacos and two tiny sides but it was flavored well, and it was the most filling of the dinner platters served. You don't get a lot of steak, but heavy meat makes a person feel stuffed.

Love this place! Conveniently located near my work, I try to get there at least once a month. As others have mentioned, the burritos are HUGE. I personally love the chili rellenos taco and the quesadilla. Love the hot sauces as well. Prices are very fare and the service is friendly.

If I could have given ZERO stars, I would have...Just called and lady said they had no one to make deliveries right now. So I asked if this was a temporary thing or, if they eliminated delivery and she replied "we usually don't make deliveries anymore."

I went there for the first time last week and ordered the steak burrito and it was Awesome! The steak was tender and juicy, unlike many other places that mass produce their meat and end up overcooking it in heated bins. Very close to authentic places downtown Chicago. The only down side is that they are not open on Sunday. This is my new favorite burrito place!

This is one of those "burrito as big as your head" places that is open until 3:00 am... not that I would know anything about that. It's a great place for lunch or dinner. HIGH QUALITY and GREAT PRICES. Steve the owner is very friendly and the staff goes out of their way to be pleasant. My favorite dishes are the enchiladas and chili rellenos. Very good stuff. You will not be disappointed. You can chill-out and watch some Mexican music in concert when you wait for your food. The music is good, too. It's very CLEAN and SAFE... in case you might have gotten the wrong impression.

This is another one of my lunch places. The food here is always good the the prices are easy to stomach too! Sometimes there can be a wait, especially in the summer, it can get super busy during lunch but when you bite into your food, you will forget all about that. This place is clean and the staff is nice. Goes without saying that this is better than any of your burrito chains down the street.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
