Taco Bell reminds me of those times when I'd consume alcohol recklessly and drive home from the clubs downtown...recklessly. Ah, comfort food and drunk food, what would I do without you? Nowadays, Taco Bell is a rare stop for me. I'm still a fan of the chicken quesadillas and regular nachos. Yes, I love liquid cheese. I've heard good things about the Doritos tacos also. Stop ripping on Taco Bell. If a classy restaurant or chef devised a menu option with tacos in a Dorito shell, and explained it differently, self-proclaimed "foodies" would crap their pants at such a discovery. Taco Bell does a good job of changing up their menu without getting out of line. Although I think the cantina bowl is a knockoff of Chipotle. The healthy menu option is nice, but when you are sitting in the Taco Bell drive-thru, you've already made the decision to gorge on calories, right? However, I hate when menu items I love disappear. Remember the spicy chicken crunchwrap or the crunchy burritos? I've heard the same tales of woe from friends of mine regarding other items. The drive-thru line here can get long, but it moves fast. I've received an inaccurate order once in the 8 years that I've lived in the area.

Stopped to pick up dinner there yesterday. Worst service ever. The man taking orders looked at us and went to clean tables. We stood at the register about 10 minutes before the girl in the drive thru asked IF we had been helped. We said no and she yelled at him to come take our order. Then he proceeds to mess up our order. Never offered to change it or apologize! Since we were worried about something being done to our food we just kept quiet. NEVER WILL WE GO BACK TO THAT TACO BELL! PLAINFIELD HAS A NICE TACO BELL A LITTLE BIT DOWN 59!

The new smothered burrito is awesome! This location is pretty standard as far as the interior and food quality. IMO the staff is usually cheerful and nice. A+ to the staff. But I wish there was a few more people working for when it gets busy.. The only issue with this location is that the lines can get really long and it seems like they might be understaffed. One time I saw (from the drive through) a few people go to walk into the dining area (it was the afternoon) and the door was locked! So I figure they only had like 2 or 3 people working their lunch rush.. I was in the drive through line pretty long. As others have mentioned if you go here at the wrong time of the day when they are backed-up you may be stuck in the drive-through line (cars now blocking you in from both directions) with no where to go and nothing to do except sit and wait.

How does one describe a lack of caring.....Ahhh, yes, this Taco Bell. My girlfriend and I went into this Taco Bell one evening last month for our normal dose of "death-by-processed-food-calories" and could NOT believe the LACK of service we, and everyone else, received. Ordering - Lack of greeting and zero personality! Preparation - So I get when you are busy and backed up that it takes time to prepare our food....BUT 40 minutes?!?! And this is NOT just us, this was EVERYONE! 7 groups were in the dining-in portion with us. Many of whom ordered after us, and all of which had to wait JUST as long, or longer, than us! Not to mention the drive-thru had cars out the back who would PARK and sit for 10's of minutes! One man came back inside and said he just picked up his food from the window and it was stone cold. This alone is OUTRAGEOUS! It is a taco...AT MOST a delicious fried(or soft) tortilla, wrapped with another tortilla of sorts and shoved with tons of "Mexican" accouterments!! It should NOT take this long to make food. Especially since NOBODY ordered anything that would serve half the U.S. Military (Thank You Soldiers!) Customer Service - I am surprised they even knew we were there! The man who came back to complain got NO help, and guess what.....had to wait just for some person to come back and say "Call this number"! Save your energy on gaining weight from this place - HECK, invite me over and I'll cook you something WAY better, faster, and for free just to prove a point that this place....is LACKING!

All sordid stories your mom told you about Taco Hell are true. Eat here if you want to find out. A filthy restaurant breeds contempt for the health department guidelines and its fair number of cockroaches. A colony probably dwells behind the walls in the ladies' lavatory, but I was too busy trying to minimize contact with any surfaces to two square inches on the soles of my shoes. I know now why I paid for a personal trainer who made me do all those squats and enhance my balance. She probably came here. Fast food service is not renowned for being efficient, precise, and especially cheery. Fast often comes at the expense of other qualities, like 'fresh' or 'healthy.' In this Taco Hell, service is a swear-word to be washed out of your mouth with soap stolen from elsewhere (empty dispensers, fun!). You may get food particle substitutes wrapped in a Taco Bell logo from dispassionate employees driven into the ground by the soul-sucking tedium that is the food service industry at $8.75/hour without hope of benefits or prospects. Drive thru window drones are particularly inaccurate and bad. Something is forever missing. Order a drink, you expect a straw. No napkins for one of their infamously drippy tacos that spews more strange brown liquid than a newborn or an east London sewer. Hope you like wearing sour cream. Ordered salsa never appears in the bag. Get a taco? They deliver a salad. Meat burrito? Oops, you've now got a kiddie dessert. Cheers! Make it a point to check your bags before you drive off, and don't worry about the people queued behind you. After waiting well beyond the bounds of patience, you won't want to even go through again. But that's your karmic warning: go somewhere else. Taco Bell food is bad. What positive qualities are there other than stifling the hunger reflex for a few minutes (if you can call excessive bloating and stomach pains that...). I've yet to find a redeeming meal that didn't induce violent intestinal discomfort or nausea either immediately or well after the fact. None of the food actually has a flavour other than salt-fest or runny, mashed up catfood which suspiciously resembles what ground up cartoon characters look like. Do you feel comfortable eating grade D reject pink-slime? Taco Bell sets a low standard, but this particular one goes for the cooks who don't cook things through or prepare them with any sense of consistency or visual appeal at all. Soggy things fall apart. There are no cheeses, heaps of cheese, or sad lettuce gone bad stuffed in a tortilla and slapped in a bag. WHY? Their mild attempts to follow the healthy eating revolution ended at 'fresca.' Check those calorie counts and prepare to choke in horror on the sodium levels (double, triple your recommended daily intake? You bet!), saturated fats, and "FDA-calculated Evil Scale." Yes, the evil scale. It's coming soon to a Taco Hell near you. Drive on, my review-reading friend, drive on. You can do better for fast food. The Wendy's down the road, Whole Foods, Costco, Culver's, a decomposing raccoon on the side of the road.

This review is about their new breakfast menu, not this location specifically. The waffle taco was way overpriced at 1.99 I expected at least a little flavor, it had zero even the sausage was tasteless. Way too many other options to waste time and money at Taco Bell.

Worst service of any Taco Bell. I have lived in the area over 20 years and they always get the orders wrong, ALWAYS! What is the problem? I mean for years it's been switched orders, missing items, wrong items. To top it off, and it's not their fault, but TB foods has gone down hill big time. The flour tortillas are like stretchy taffy, the corn tortillas have no taste, and the beef burritos are more liquid than beef. Oh well I should thank them. From now on I will make my own burritos and tacos at home. And if I need something quick forma late night fix there is at least a White Castle near by.

I've been a Taco Bell fan since my mom worked at one when I was a kid. This one is pretty standard. Cheap, bad for you (though they're trying to be healthy with the Taco Fresco menu). But I, personally, think cheap and bad for you = delicious! The drive thru at this location gets pretty busy at lunch time. So plan accordingly.

How sad is it to be writing a review for taco bell? Yeah, I know. I shouldn't expect more for what I pay for. I know I will never visit a taco bell again. for years, I banned them. Never wanted to try the food, I hated it. It repulsed me. Even the smell or the thought of it, disgusted me. Then I eased my way into it, would only go there for a drink or a apple em panda. good, but nothing great that i needed to run there. sometimes would get the nacho's bel grande, once again good but nothing great. Not until they started haing mini steak quesadillas did I want to go there. I've had many problems with them, being over charged, wrong orders, etc. and not just at this location. But this one day in particular was the worst. Even the drinks we're bad. my order was wrong. and the new corn taco's. They can't and won't substitute the tortilla's. The taste was so awful. they we're chewy, nothing like they described, nothing but onions on a cold, rubbery corn tortilla. GROSS. so nasty, I can't even begin to explain. If you ever think about trying them, Just don't. Enough said.

You can't beat the convenience and low cost, although not the exact healthiest fast mexican food you can get. This location is put together well, not the cleanest it could be but the staff always get the orders right and very quickly. Good for a late night snack on the way back from class, errands, or partying. Features a couple of outdoors picnic round tables which are convenient during nice weather months.

Holy heck. Every time I go to this taco bell I am disappointed. They have screwed up my last 2 order and there is always await. Sometimes a 20 min wait. ( not fast food).

This Taco Bell is HANDS-DOWN the absolute best I've ever been to. I had a gargantuan order on St. Patrick's Day. The three of us went through the drive through and barked an order for 15-20 almost people, many with special orders. At 2am, they got the order 100% correct and tossed in four extra hard-shelled tacos.

I eat at TB often. Weekly, at least. This is my most-frequented location of Taco Bell since it's halfway between work & home, and yes I realize it is not gourmet, but it is perfect for what it is. It's been a couple years since they were "out of ground beef," so I consider that an improvement! The line usually moves quickly here, the customer service is consistently friendly, and they rarely get an order wrong. Win! I always order a Cheesy Gordita Crunch (gold star), a Crunchwrap supreme, and usually a soft taco, but i sometimes interchange for a Mexican pizza, nachos, Doritos taco, burritos, or whatever they have on special. Everything is delicious covered in fire sauce and/or verde sauce! Even the breakfast, which I just tried this morning. The AM Bacon Crunchwrap was an amazing blend of crunchy hash brown, fluffy egg, bacon, cheese, and sauce, wrapped in a big tortilla and grilled. It's perfect for an on-the-go breakfast if you're running late in the morning, which, let's be honest, who isn't?! I also enjoyed the sausage waffle taco. The waffle wasn't as thick as I was expecting, which was a nice surprise. Hubby ordered the AM burrito too and he said it was delicious. Can't wait to eat here all day :)))

The late night employees do not like their jobs.I'm not sure why the drive thru lady is so rude,or why Its wrong for me to ask if they have Dr.Pepper, then I got a 75% full Sierra Mist.I didn't even bother to tell her because her attitude was stanky.

I never review fast food chains and I like Taco Bell for fast food but this location is consistently substandard. The eating area is consistently dirty and the service is horrible...I'm kinda stuck because its the only taco bell in the area. Today during lunch, they had no lettuce...how does that happen for lunch? Anyways just letting people know to skip this location if you can!

I got the worst food poisoning of my LIFE from this location! Yeah yeah, what was I expecting from Taco Bell, but truly it was a nightmare. I ordered two soft tacos and a pintos & cheese and was out of commission for 3 entire days. I have never been more sick and truly thought I would have to be hospitalized. Not sure if it was the lettuce or meat or what, but STAY AWAY!!!

I love taco bell. This one is pretty good. I go here often for lunch, usually drive thru. The issue is the amount of sauce I receive. I order six items and get three sauce packets. I ask for some more and I am handed one. I ask for another and again handed one. Five sauce packets for six items. The math seems a little wrong.

About Taco Bell

Taco Bell is a haven for Mexican delicacies such as tacos, quesadillas, burritos, nachos, and other specialty items. Owned by Yum! Brands, Inc. Taco Bell is one of the fastest growing American chains of fast food restaurants. The restaurant operates from 7,072 different locations which are mostly run by independent franchisees and licensees.

The background story of Taco Bell is interesting and inspiring for budding entrepreneurs. The fast-food brand is the brainchild of Glen Bell, who started his first food venture as a hot dog seller in San Bernardino, California. The year was 1948. After witnessing long queues outside a Mexican restaurant called Mitla Café across the street, Bell saw the opportunity and demand for hard-shelled Tacos. He reverse-engineered the recipe and later started selling Tacos and called the venture Taco-Tia.

Later, the name changed from Taco-Tia to El Taco. Eventually, Glen Bell sold the company to his partner and opened the first Taco Bell in Downey in 1962. By 1964, the restaurant also got its first franchise in Torrance. The 100th Taco Bell restaurant was opened by 1965. PepsiCo acquired Taco Bell from Glen Bell in 1978 and the restaurant brand is currently a subsidiary of Yum! Brands which looks after the restaurant business of PepsiCo.

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
