Popping in for a slice was great. The pizza was well made and the textures and flavors in the cheese, sauce and crust blended well together. A surprising new find in Naperville. The downsides were that when we ordered a pizza from them, it was cut into squares instead of slices, and often the cheese would slide off the squares and make it difficult to eat. The best format is definitely the individual slices. It's not the best pizza in Naperville, but it's pretty darn good.

Simply a perfect place to stop in after class for a quick & fresh slice of A++ pizza. Incredibly reasonable prices for massive slices. Great sauce and lots of cheese (he does not skimp on anything). Richard, the owner, is a friendly dude that takes great pride in his business. He also has a fully stocked cooler of Red Bull...great for us local North Central College students! Richard definitely goes out of his way assure you are well taken care of. Keep it up!

This was my second time here and this time I got to have their pizza which was slammin' good. We came to Naperville for the Yelp event which was going to be delicious but we wanted a bit of dinner before all the chocolate. Pizza slices? Perfect! And it was open, yay! The guy who worked here was super accommodating, put the pizza in for us and it came out hot, cheesy and delicious. It was so chewy and hit the spot. Thanks for a great dinner on the run, just what we wanted.

It's your basic pizza and pop for cheap. We thought the pizza was just okay-but nothing to rave about. Great that it's open late next to bars and sells by the slice.

Believe me, I'm from Boston and know good pizza. This pizza is extremely bland and lousy at best. I actually had to check for sauce because I couldn't taste it. It looked like it had been sitting out for hours. A cardboard box is tastier. We wanted to eat in the restaurant but couldn't because it was so hot in there.

After running some errands, I found myself coming down with a headache and knew I should probably eat something. After visiting Penzey's Spices, this was pretty much next door so I gave it a go. The guy working there was very animated and greeted me with a loud "Hi there!" He asked me what I wanted, so I told him a slice of cheese pizza to go (and a bottle of H2O). $5 even, my slice of cheese was put on a plate and into a paper sleeve to go, and off I went. I gotta say that I was a bit disappointed by the size of the slice. I've gotten pizza slices to go that were bigger, and certainly tasted a lot better. The pizza was lukewarm, at best. The cheese was a rubbery layer overloaded with oregano. The sauce wasn't anything special. It felt like a chore not a treat to eat this thing. I guess after a night of bar hopping in downtown Napes, this stuff probably hits the spot. However, it was 2:00 p.m. and my sober tastebuds wanted none of it. I didn't even finish the entire slice. Like Julie F. said, I too would take Pizza Hut over this. Or even Rosati's. ***Downgraded to 1 star. I have had an upset stomach all afternoon. I wish I could make myself sick just so I'd feel better. Sorry Riverwalk Pizza but I won't be back.

It's ok, nothing special or memorable about the taste or quality. Tried this spot yesterday afternoon and ordered a piece which included a free can of soda. The crust was below avg, the sauce was a bit bland and the overall grease content was too much for my liking. Mike was pleasant to deal with however and I got the feeling customer service is important. Cost relative to value = pass.

I was not very pleased with this pizza place. There was one guy doing everything and he looked really unprofessional and unclean. His shirt was untucked and far too small. His pants were stained and I get it, youre making pizza, its messy but these looked like stains from his dinner two nights ago. Not to mention he needed a belt. He bent over a few times and gave us a show with his plumbers crack. Just grand. It took forever for us to get two slices because he was fiddling in the back kitchen with things even though the two slices we ordered were at the front under the heat lamp. The pizza slice was small which was disappointing. I would recommend getting two slices to be satisfied. To me personally, there is no such thing as bad pizza. But this pizza wasnt particularly good pizza either. If you are working in the area and need something quick, cheap, easy to eat, and you dont mind Larry the cable guy probably didnt wash his hands before making ur pizza, then give this place a shot. Otherwise, there are plenty of other pizza places in downtown napes that I would hit up before I go to this place again.

I stopped in for a quick slice and was greeted by a man who I assume is the owner/manager/chef. I got the Thirsty Thursday $4 special (a slice of pizza with a can of pop). The pizza want gourmet but he said he makes everything from scratch and it tasted pretty darn good. I didn't catch the gentleman's name but he was incredibly friendly and welcoming and chatted with me for a few minutes before other customers came in. He didn't have anything they wanted ready and offered to make what they wanted to order on the spot- very accommodating. The decor and seating could use an update, as well as digital menus (the menu board has things blacked out and added on). Overall, don't go here for a nice dinner out. Come for a casual slice of pizza with the kids or your significant other and enjoy the conversation.

I think I'm being generous here! Came in here just after having a nice stroll with the wife. The pizza is blah!! The sauce is standard canned and kind of salty. That being said, a good crust can make up for a lot of pizza short comings. In this case it didn't! The crust was not crispy and did not make up for the lack of quality on the top. It was just bready..if there's such a word. I understand the niche crowd this place goes after; the after the bar patron who is hungry and is looking to satisfy that craving for a late night bite. So this place serves a purpose and I am okay with that. It just won't be me.

I got another chance to try their pizza, i was contacted a few days after my first review and the owner felt really bad that i has a bad experience with the pizza and wanted me to try it again. My roomie and i trekked over there after tennis one night and our slices were on the hoose! My slice was definitely better the second time around, i wouldnt say its my fave pizza ever but i love that there is a place in dt naper that offers pizza by the slice! if you're out in naperville hitting the bars and you're craving some pizza, walk on over to riverwalk pizza and try a slice! or be a fatty and order a pizza and eat it all yourself. i wont judge you.

This review is based solely on the service provided. Based on the reviews on yelp, I was anxious to try Riverwalk pizza, only to find they were out of sausage. When I asked if any more sausage slices would be up, he said no because sausage isn't a popular topping. In the Chicagoland area? Give me a break. He then went into the back and didn't seem to care that he alienated a potential customer. I don't care how good your pizza is, if you don't know how to treat customers, you don't get repeat business. End of story.

Where the hell do you go for a slice of pizza these days? Seems like most places either serve a whole pie or you have to sit down, get waited on, and possibly pay a delivery charge or tip. I like this pace for a couple of reasons and I have some suggestive comments as well. It's locally owned and nice to see places like this. Anyways, the guys running it were nice and the food we ordered was a great value for the money. We had 2 slices of pizza (one cheese, one pepperoni), an Italian beef with cheese, cheese bread, and a couple of sodas. The total bill was somewhere around $16, which probably is around $6 cheaper than a fast food meal somewhere else using equivelant quantities. It took perhaps 15 minutes for our food to be made, but it was hot and fresh, and I would guess that it would have been faster at midnight when the bars start to let out when the pizza rotisserie is likely to be spinning full. We were there around 6:30pm on a Saturday. Now, for the suggestions. Pizza was not as memorable as I would have liked it to be, if this is their core competency. Not bad by any means, but it does not leave me with the desire to have it again right away. You know that feeling when you have had the best meal in your life? That was not the case. But look at my first line in this review -- where else do you go to get a slice these days? Perhaps a crispier crust, experiment with a thinner crust version, or add some light seasoning to the top. The slices here are thick and you can eat with a knife and fork and served in a paper to-go slice box. The pizza had a lot of cheese, but it's the type of slice where if you ate it while walking, the cheese might slide off and slap onto your face leaving you with bread and sauce. This is my personal preference - Sbarro pizza slices are big but you can run with them. I like Italian Beef a lot, and although I consider Portillo's to be the benchmark, I do like a homemade sandwich from places like this and they usually taste about the same as each other. It was a great tasting sandwich, maybe a little dry, but overall up to my expectations. A little side of gravy probably would have done the trick - I don't recall seeing it on the menu, nor did I ask for any, so I can't fault them for this! This sandwich tastes the same as the one at Traverso's in Naperville, and it costs much more there. The cheese bread was great, one of the better I have ever had. Would not change a thing about this one. So, I will likely try again, perhaps when I am in downtown Naperville again in the future. I think this place will go over well for the after-bar crowd. It's also just down the street from North Central, so it's a quick and easy way to grab a meal.

I read yelp reviews as I was waiting for my pie to come out of the oven and I got so excited! I had a few different people rave about it, and it did not disappoint! I got a slice fresh out of the oven, and it was so so so good. whatever he puts on that cheese is delicious. PERFECT crust. Like, this pizza is no joke. He should win every pizza award out there. Also, the restaurant was so cute! I've lived in south Naperville for 17 years and so I never really thought of it as a "college town" but it was so charming how he had decorated with NCC stuff. There are two tables, and the whole place seats six. It was quiet, but as we were leaving he was breaking out the speakers to probably play some tunes. Definitely going back

Riverwalk Pizza's hand-tossed pizza is mediocre but has the potential to be an excellent pie. For some reason, most of the Chicago suburb pizza joints think hand-tossed pizza crust must be thick and overly chewy, and Riverwalk Pizza is no different. The following are some compliments, criticisms, and suggestions: Compliments: Meat toppings were tasty and the right proportion. Sauce was tasty and just the right amount on the pizza. Cheese was flavorful and just the right amount. Criticisms: The hand-tossed dough seems to be made of a high-gluten flour, making the finished crust too chewy. The crust was too thick at the edge. The crust tasted okay, but not much flavor, and tasted similar to the typical chain pizza place. Suggestions: Decrease the chewiness slightly by cutting the recipe with some all-purpose flour. Ferment the pizza dough balls one extra day in the refrigerator to give the crust more flavor and character. Decrease the amount of dough used for a large-size by 2 ounces. This will make the pizza crust just the right thickness.

What a perfect addition to a scene like Naperville. Pizza slice was great. Cheesy breadsticks were incredible - FOR $3 GET THE DAMN BREADSTICKS! To top it off, the owner/staff was so cool and friendly - if I lived around here this would be my go-to pizza spot.

This place is the bomb! I am a Chicago pizza 'snob' and I have to say this place has it done right! The menu selections are plentiful and I cannot get enough of their root beer floats! The calzones are HUGE and everything is reasonably priced given they are near the college and the hospital. Super convenient, open late (post bar closing, hurrah!) and the owner Mike is the nicest man you will ever want to meet. He 'gets pizza' through and through and the sauce is his own secret recipe - it's awesome! I strongly recommend this place to singles, families, college kids - anyone from age 5 to 500--check it out!

This is a good place to grab a quick slice. I'm glad Downtown Naperville has another quick grab and go food location. The pizza was pretty decent (large slices with generous cheese & toppings), I will not say the best, but far from the worse I've had. The part that was most displeasing about my visit was the throng of extisential college students taking up all of the small amount of seating. That said, Riverwalk Pizza is good on a budget! $3 for a large slice & soda. I would not hesitate to go back!
