Have been here twice for lunch. I am at a loss as to why this place isn't busy. The food is delicious and the service is attentive. The crunch roll and egg drop soup are two of my favorites. The lunch specials are value priced and generously portioned. My husband and I both brought food home. We will be back!

Best Pad Thai in town! Just a cool gem tucked away. Great ambience and even better food!

I had the sashimi and a Mexican roll- both we're excellent! My wife had the Thai Chicken and she wasn't as impressed but she's not writing the review! :) I would definitely come back for more. The tapioca smoothie was good too.

I'm in the area for work and they deliver to my hotel, which is super convenient. Because of this I have ordered from them several times (long trip), and it has always been good. The sushi rolls were solid, and the nigiri was a show stopper. I especially enjoyed the scallop nigiri. I have since moved onto the Thai side of the menu with similar results. The pad Thai had a really nice and bright tamarind sauce, but it totally lacked heat. They may have missed that I requested spicy, which isn't too big of a deal. The Tom Yum Goong soup is amazing, however. I really can't get enough of this. It, too, could be spicier, but the flavors in that soup are incredible. This place gets a strong 4 stars, and is highly recommended.

I used to love jin, but as of late, I am totally over them & have been boycotting their bitch asses! Seriously. I ordered my food and when I got there 12 mins later/paid, that's when they decided that it was a good time to get started on making my food. Ummmmm. F- and eff you. All the employees were standing around socializing and guess what?! ZEROOOO other customers!!!!!! During lunch time! On a Saturday. In summer. In downtown Naperville. Tells you something ain't right. Hey manager, make my day and turn my negative experiences into positive ones. BAHAHAHA that'll be the day! No Jin employee gives a daayyyuuummmm ---------RIP Jin28--------

We went for sushi at lunchtime. The sashimi was freezing cold, as were the salads. Premade, waiting in the fridge for customers to order it? That seemed the likely explanation. The fish in the spicy tuna roll wasn't going to make me ill, but the batch was set to be discarded before the next day (I sure hope so, anyhow). There was one piece of sashimi that had started to turn. I may try the spot again, but definitely not for sushi.

This one time, my mom suggested a lunch spot in Naperville I've never been to.....whaaaaaaaat?! I need to up my game. Jin 28 is great for a lunch date! They have a different special each day which is awesome. For 12:30 pm on a Thursday in downtown Nape this place was a pleasantly quite and relaxing find. Now mind you, it took forever to find a parking spot but I blame that on the holiday season. My mom and I each ordered from the lunch menu - 2 sushi rolls which included your choice of miso soup or salad (for only $6.95!). With plans to share the sushi we ordered 4 different kinds: the avocado, salmon, sweet potato and crunch roll. My favorites were the sweet potato and crunch roll, but all were pretty good! If you've never had a sweet potato sushi roll, definitely give it a try. It's my new favorite anywhere I go. The miso soup was also delish. Sounds like something you can't mess up, but oh you can. I've had some pretty funky miso soup in my day, so I'm happy to say Jin 28 does it just right! This wasn't the best sushi I've ever had, but I also ordered some pretty simple rolls and for the price it can't be beat. I'll definitely be back to explore the dinner side of the menu and try some specialty rolls. I feel a 5th star coming in the future!

I've been ordering online from them for quite some time. I enjoy their food and the variety of menu items available. The jalapeno spicy chicken fried rice is incredible! All white meat chicken (you can select different meats), slices of fresh jalapeno, and quality fried rice. The pot stickers (6) were just okay. I'm pretty sure they were frozen and then deep fried. Parts of them were oily from deep frying but the edges were dried out like had been freezer burnt. The sauce that accompanies them is decent. On one particular order, I had spent enough to get a free California roll (6 piece), so I gave it a go. I've graduated from the novice sushi rolls so I can't say it was anything exceptional, but it was well made and fresh. The Chicken Tom Yum Goong Soup was... different. I'd never tried it before, but I figured since I like almost all of the ingredients(chicken, fresh mushrooms [yuck!] in a tart lime broth and lemongrass, hot chili, lemon juice, cilantro and coconut milk) it was worth a shot. Not sure if it was the coconut milk (never had it before) or the lime broth, but my tastebuds wanted none of it. Sad, because this is a $7 soup as it's meant for two. The Sweet and Sour chicken is quite delicious; I love how they incorporate pieces of chopped bell pepper in the sauce. It gives the dish a bit more depth than the standard pineapple most places use. The Orange Chicken wasn't too bad. I found that it had the right amount of heat and sweet, and the breading was crispy enough (it softened a bit due to delivery, but I won't hold that against them) I'm eager to try their sashimi (I don't know how well it would travel if I order delivery) so perhaps I'll venture out some time to try some, as well as Kamikaze and Crazy Tuna rolls, and many of the Maki.

This is one of the best Thai places I have tried, and I have tried quite a few. The Crazy noodles combined with the Panang Curry are an excellent choice. Their portion sizes are great also.

I ordered from here today through the order online option, GREAT FAST SERVICE! I recommend this option, as it went VERY well. As far as the food, AWESOME. Great taste, plenty of food, fast, hot. JIN 28 WAY TO GO

One word. TERRIBLE! My husband and I went in on a Saturday night for a date night, and only 1 of us got to eat dinner. He had sushi rolls, and I ordered Orange Chicken. Unfortunately, that's as far as I got. My chicken came out, and was lukewarm at best. My husband tried a bite, and his piece was actually COLD! I complained to our waitress, who seemed completely clueless and was unsure what to do. I told her I wanted a new order. My husband completed his meal, and I just wanted to get out of there. I flag down the waitress again to cancel the order, and she said the meal was done, and said she'd bring it out to me. When asked if I was still expected to pay for it, she said YES! I had it removed from our bill and left, hungry.

I really liked this place and am quite surprised at the reviews here. They do not mimic our experience at all! The FIL made reservations here for dinner and while I love all Asian food, normally a place that promotes sushi, Thai and Chinese in one spot usually means a jack of all trades and master of none... but not the case! We were waiting on someone that was running way late, so we went ahead and ordered apps and drinks. The eggrolls were decent, but the Shu Mai were incredible. I contemplated ordering them as part of my meal as well! For our meals we ordered a hodge podge of sushi and dishes. The stand out item was definitely the green curry. It was not spicy and very very flavorful and good. Would order this again without question. The rolls I picked were the Triple Tuna and the Cherry Blossom. Tuna is my hands down favorite and so I really liked the Triple Tuna, but the Cherry Blossom was nothing remarkable to me. The Mexican roll was good as well with lots of cilantro on top. However, all of the sushi was fresh and delicious, there was nothing that I wouldn't eat again. I was also very impressed with the unique rolls. Lots of combinations that I have not seen elsewhere, which is what I always look for in a go-to sushi place. Creativity is key to a good sushi chef. Of course, all the standard fare was available as well though. Overall, I was very impressed with the place. The service was good and upon hearing that I was getting married in 2 days, they gave me a cute little purse hook that was wrapped with ribbon. A very unexpected, but appreciative gesture. I would definitely return here next time we are in town.

I was surprised to see so many bad reviews. I have been to Jin 28 many times and I have never had a bad experience. They have great lunch specials and they deliver. Servers are always polite and accommodating. Any of their sushi rolls are good. Love the tempura. The only "complaint" I have is that I always have to ask for my food to be made "extra spicy" but that's just me. We've tried their egg rolls, crab rangoon, Mongolian & Szechwan beef, General Tso's chicken, Chop Suey, many of their rolls, Miso soup, watermelon & cantaloupe smoothies, and of course their rice/noodles. Anyways, we've never had a bad experience with any of those dishes. We like the atmosphere and it's located in downtown Naperville so it's a nice place to take your family after shopping and walking the river walk.

Jin 28 was okay. We stopped for lunch after a book signing at Anderson's Bookshop down the street. It looked like an independent business in chain restaurant land. Service was attentive and not overbearing. Spider roll was fine. Not great, not bad. Curry entrees were large. Lots of chicken, lots of vegetables. Prices reasonable. Nice, clean modern decor. Street parking or one of the public lots.

I've come here with friends before with friends. I enjoyed my meals well enough. During the summer, I came down to visit and was starving. I came to Jim 28 to eat and wait but instead of seating me as asked she led me to the back to order. I thought little of it until after I received my food in a to go container. I explained that I'd intended to eat inside the restaurant but she refused me. There was a couple there and a family seated as I left. Besides myself and the the groups the place was completely empty with a lot of available seating. I wasn't inappropriate, rude, or poorly dressed for the atmosphere. I was not welcome either. Food is good but I guess make sure you come with a group.

The sushi here is delicious! Usually I'm skeptical of a restaurant that serves Thai AND Chinese AND sushi, but it really was well prepared and beautifully presented. We ordered three different maki rolls and shared. Each was as delicious as the next. I wanted more. More!

Devoured my Jin 28 grubhub delivery order and I needed to write how amazing the food was. I got the Shrimp Tom Yum Goong Soup & classic Eel Cucumber Roll. Must haves. Thank you Jin 28 for a delicious lunch!

I came in here for a quick snack with Jeff and was actually pretty impressed with the vegan options on the menu... any place with veggie chicken (however much like tofu it tastes) is good in my book! I had the spicy jalapeno fried rice (minus the egg) and some avocado roll, and it was very tasty. It's good to know there's a good place downtown that's got me covered.

This has become one of my favourite places in all of Naperville and I can already tell it is going to be the kind of place where I bring everyone I know. I have already brought a few friends in here and they are always happy to see us. They have lunch specials here that you cannot beat and the food is delicious. Not to mention, you get more than a decent amount of food. The staff is super friendly and attentive. The service is fast and I love that I'm typically in here for less than an hour from the hours 12-3 on a week day. Last week, I went there THREE TIMES. I just crave it all the time and since it is so cheap and fulfiling, you almost cannot resist! One of the coolest things was that when I went there with a friend for lunch on Valentine's Day and they gave us these really rad purse clips. I love having these things on me and it was such a thoughtful little gift! Check it out!

An Asian restaurant with an enormous menu (a little too big I think). I ended up ordering the pad thai and a bubble tea when I first came here. The pad thai looked discolored and tasted nothing like pad thai. It was very bland and unseasoned. The bubble tea was excellent but honestly, what restaurant could manage to mess up something so naturally delicious?

Went for lunch and the service was great. Clean and the food came quickly. Sushi and CA rolls good, made them with brown rice per our request! I had the Weight Watchers veggies and brown rice, so nice to find a place where you don't get your food steeped in sauce!

Pretty ticked off. I ordered lunch through grubhub. We just moved out to this area and i was excited to find a new sushi place. I spent $31 on lunch to be delivered, I called and requested a side of spicy mayo. When they got to my house they told me I had to pay a dollar for the spicy mayo. Really?! I've never had a sushi restaurant charge me for a quarter sized cup of spicy mayo. Not to mention I didn't have cash on me which is why i paid with a debit card, so I had to go to my car and search for a dollar in coins... That's bad customer service. I work in the restaurant industry, that spicy mayo probably cost them 10 cents, if that!

I have been here two times now and both times the food and service was excellent. Last night we had our company holiday party here and they were very accommodating to our large group. Everyone seemed to liked the dishes they order and from what i saw it looked delicious. I ordered the pad see ew and it was superb. Will definitely be coming back again.

Another just average Asian restaurant in downtown Naperville. I split a roll with one other person, and it was pretty good - a tempura shrimp roll topped with white tuna and spicy mayonnaise. Mild tasting, but pretty good. My entree was Szechuan beef...and this was really missing something. I like the veggie mix - baby corn, bell pepper, and bamboo shoots - and the meat was tender, but it didn't have something. I don't know if it needed more...salt? More MSG? Something like that? I dunno. It just wasn't all that good. I would say a 3 or 3.5 for the sushi, and a 2 or 2.5 for the beef - I'll be generous and say 3 stars overall. I might go back...but I'm still on a half-hearted search for reliably tasty Chinese in the suburbs, so I'd try elsewhere before returning. I honestly think Joy Yee is my favorite, although I haven't been in ages.

Jin 28 has fantastic food that is fresh and well made! I had the crab rangoon and various sushi and every bite was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!!!!! The people are so delightful over the phone and the food is made with love, style and flare! You have to add Jin to your week! ..............................And I can say that it's just sinful that they offer delivery!

Such good food and great service. I loved the kids option. It was a big portion good for two kids. The sushi was delicious. I've dined with them before and tried their lunch special which is a really good deal. I'll definitely be back.

So my review of Jin28 is a dual review. The only reason I found this place was because I downloaded an app called grubhub on my iphone. It finds all of the local food places around you that deliver. You look at the menu, order, and pay through the app. So what does Jin28 look like? I have no idea. Are they nice on the phone? Who the hell knows. What I do know is they have a bomb ass menu and they deliver. The food was good. I eat pretty clean and I splurged for an old school favorite General tso's chicken and a spicy tuna roll. The chicken was all white meat...no fatty gross grisle chunks. The sushi was great. Best of all, my lazy azz just pulled my phone out, blipped a few key strokes and the magic sushi man was at my door in 45 minutes. If I could find a little bridge that I could live under with a power outlet, I would order all my food delivered there and make the driver's solve three riddles for ever increasing tip amounts. btw their prices are very reasonable. The end

2.5 stars. Decent food; some dishes seemed overpriced considering the portions. I feel like Jin 28 would do better if it was more of an Asian fusion restaurant with strikingly beautiful, creative, unusual dishes. Instead it feels like they just happen to serve standard Chinese, sushi, and Thai dishes all on the same menu. When our order of the Old Country Tofu came out, we found that the tofu had gone bad. Thankfully they were quick to replace it with a new one. Flavor was just okay. At the end of our meal, someone different from our waitstaff thanked us for coming and gave us a $10 gift certificate. He wasn't very clear about what it was for but we're assuming it was an apology for the tofu. I appreciated the gesture and it'll probably cause us to return and give them another chance. I was impressed that they had a vegetarian dragon roll available, but I found its flavor to be lacking. The maraschino cherries on the top were interesting but I didn't like the overall taste. (Could be that I'm spoiled from a mind-blowing equivalent I had in Seattle which was also $10.)

We've eaten at Jin 28 several times. It's a small place that is centrally located in downtown Naperville, but it's never very busy. That may be because the service is a bit uneven. The staff obviously care a great deal but seem to be untrained. We were seated before a table was cleared and it took quite awhile before dirty plates & silverware were removed. The sweet & tangy pickled vegies brought before the meal are delicious. We also liked the sushi special we ordered. The menu has a wide variety of Asian dishes including typical Chinese as well as curries. It's a good choice for a small group of people who have different tastes when it comes to Asian cuisine.

I can't speak to the decor of the restaurant or service, since we just got some Thai and a roll for a carry out. Pad Thai: thumbs down. Crunch Roll: thumbs sideways. Chicken Satay: also thumbs down. Everything was really bland and I ended up dumping soy sauce on it. Sorry, I'd like to like this place, as there aren't a lot of sushi options when I'm back in Naperville, but I'm not going for it.

Ordered takeout from Jin 28 a few times while on business trips - got a variety of sushi, fried rice, and miso soup. Pretty consistent food quality - nothing out of the ordinary - and reliable delivery service.

I've now eaten here twice, and I stand by my good review from the first time. The bf and I ordered carry-out for lunch, a spread of Thai (cashew-pineapple chicken), Chinese (well, vaguely Chinese: sweet and sour chicken), and an appetizer of crab rangoon. It was a LOT of food (my cashew chicken was easily 2 meals) for $27.45. We also got a free order of California rolls for ordering over a certain amount (either $20 or 25, I can't recall). There seems to be a lot of criticism here about the sushi, so I asked my bf what he thought of the California rolls (since I am not a big fan of that variety of sushi). He said they were fine, but the guys behind the sushi counter looked really young, so maybe it's a question of the chefs' inexperience to some degree that's caused issues for yelpers in the past? Overall, tasty, and a convenient place for pan-Asian tastes if you're in downtown Naperville.

I ordered my food about an hr and a half before my lunch break and put in the notes that I would have to meet the driver in the lobby and to call me if their were any problems with my order with my cell #. 20 minutes after I had punched out my food was still not there so I called the restaurant to see were the driver was and she told me he was still 12 minutes away. I was politely explaining to her that I wouldn't be able to meet him bc I would be back at work and I couldn't wait in the lobby (I'm on the 5th floor and it requires security clearance access) when she became very rude and hung up on me. She said I should expect drivers to be late.... But really?!? I gave you an hr and a half and that was promised to be delivered and was over 30 minutes later than the promised time and you hang up on me??? I've worked retail and customer service before and even if someone was swearing at me I've never hung up on them. So I paid 20$ and worked a 9hr shift with no food. I understand things happen but there is no excuse to treat customers poorly when you are in the wrong.

Came here with the significant-other unit and our niece. We were seated a short while after arriving, so the wait wasn't bad. We ordered some sushi and some fried rice to share among ourselves, with some green tea and a sapporo. Service could improve, but it was a busy Saturday night. It's well appointed, good representative menu, sushi was fresh tasting (no fishy smelling/tasting rice). I would come back again.

This place is great. I've been here two days in a row for lunch. I was looking for something different in downtown Naperville and thought this looked interesting. The menu on the door had reasonable lunch specials with Chinese, Thai and Japanese (sushi) selections. The decor is upscale. Food tastes wonderful. Service is attentive and friendly. I will be back.

M scoup not bad. BUT, their sashima is really bad----the fish went sour already!!! When we brought this up, the manager said: ''Ok, i will give you a 10% off"--- I think she took this matter too lightly. Your customers could be posioned bc of the raw fish that have already gone bad. The waitress was very friendly. Don't go there!!

Delivery options in the suburbs are just dismal. You get 2 choices: pizza or some variation of Asian. I get it, you live in the suburbs, what do you expect? But come on, I am willing to pay all of the delivery fees for my laziness. Lazy tax! I will pay it! RARELY do any businesses of any kind deliver for FREE any more, so let's get on it, 'Burbs. More delivery options 'cause we're paying for it anyway. That said, delivery is pretty much the only reason why we've ordered from Jin 28 as much as we have in the past. They deliver. And it's not pizza. But all the dishes we've tried have been merely "meh." The Pad Thai is passable I guess, if you've not had Pad Thai anywhere else ever before. Pot stickers, fried rice, sesame chicken, General Tso's and all the standards? All of 'em, "meh." It's food. That you do not have to cook for yourself and another human will bring to you in exchange for money when you are tired and lazy and in the middle of a Breaking Bad marathon you just can't tear yourself away from. Yep. That about covers it. (Oh, and their website says "Free Delivery for all Naperville Downtown Customers." Not true.)

Enjoyed the variety available on this menu - Thai, Chinese & Sushi. Something for everyone here. Excellent waitstaff that made wonderful recommendations. Very reasonable too!! Great sushi rolls, tasty pot stickers, crunchy tempura veggies and an interesting wine list. The sesame chicken was too sweet and almost resembled a BBQ sauce bath. This place was very reasonable! We'll definitely try this place again in Naperville.

This place was fantastic. I did not order sushi because I'M IN FUCKING NAPERVILLE. All you morons that rated the sushi badly, it's your own damn fault. Where is there an ocean around here? C'mon you idiots. I went with my family and my brother-in-law's family and we got mostly thai and chinese. it was great. good service. whatever i can't wait to get back to San Francisco and have actual sushi

I have been in Naperville for about three months and was searching for a great sushi place. This was not it. We visited about a month ago - We were seated promptly, but the waitress was not very helpful with our questions. I asked two questions and although she clearly did not understand what I was asking, just said "no", instead of going to ask someone who might understand. The sake tasted rotten, the edamame was overdone and thus squishy, and my sushi rolls fell apart the moment I picked it up, leaving most of the rice in the soy sauce. The ingredients did not taste fresh. The service was slow and as we waited and waited and waited for our food, we watched the comedy that was the staff trying to seat a large group.. even though they had a large table open, they gave it away to a smaller group who came in after the larger group - then they didn't have anywhere for the larger group to sit, so they got ticked and left. Overall, it was an incredibly disappointing $50 meal.. Hopefully their other dishes are decent but we wont be back. Better sushi, sake and edamame elsewhere!

Do not go to this place for sushi. Tuna smelled and tasted off definitely not sushi grade fish. Wonton soup was ok but bland. If you ever tasted good Thai food do not order the Red Curry here. It was also bland maybe they were just not generous with the curry paste.

Debated for a while between 1 and 2 stars. My gf and I visited this place over the weekend, I moved to Naperville a few months ago and have been on the hunt for some quality thai food ever since. First of all, speaking to the decor, it was a very nice restaurant, and was decorated well, which is what made the 2 star food in a 4 star looking restaurant such a disappointment. Our waitress was pretty low-run on the quality scale. Huge delay in taking old dishes, which was a pain on a smaller two person table. Not that it effected us, but during our dining we also noticed a couple walk out because they waited 5+ minutes to be seated due to half the restaurant being empty, but no bused tables were ready to seat them at. We had a decent sampling of the menu, we ordered a Crab Rangoon for an appetizer, and my GF also ordered the Egg Drop Soup. We also shared a Crunch roll, and two entrees (General Tso's Chicken and Pad See Ew) The Crab Rangoon wasn't bad, I didn't try the sauce however. They are not the traditional Rangoon as they are folded more like an empanada than the traditional shape of a Rangoon. The Egg Drop soup was awful, it was a clear broth unlike the normal yellow I am used to seeing, my GF ordered it and asked me to try it to make sure she wasn't crazy at how bad it was. It was past flavorless and was closer to just bad. Onto the Sushi, the Crunch roll wasn't bad. Just an average roll, no complaints but no amazement to make me order again. As far as the main entrees, neither was impressive. The General Tso could almost be confused for a bad mall orange chicken the sauce was so overly sweet. The Pad See Ew was also not awful, but just disappointing, Not much flavor and the noodles were an odd size of rice noodle from what we have had in the past. To sum up, not all the food was awful, but none of it was even above average, and combo that with the service and I don't plan on returning.

I can see why this place currently averages 3 stars. There's many positive things about Jin 28, and an obvious one is the beautiful decor. They have a great location in downtown Naperville, and the vibe feels very nice. We ordered smoothies, crab rangoon, and a chinese dish (which I can't recall) but I do remember them all being pretty good. I wish I could have tried the sushi but I probably wasn't feeling it that night. I'm docking two stars for service and a bit of a pricey menu. The staff was pretty attentive toward the beginning of our meal and sort of slowed down and forgot to give us our check. Or they were too busy trying to close down the restaurant. Either way, it took us forever to leave.

UPDATE 1/2/11 ****** I went back to Jin 28 after my first good experience here and was sadly disappointed. We started with the crab rangoon, which I thought were awful. The sauce served with them was so sweet it was almost unbearable. To me, it tasted like orange flavored, liquid cough medicine. The actual crab rangoons tasted like they were fried in old oil, and I couldn't choke them down, which says a LOT! We actually sent them back because I found them to be inedible. I finally tried their sushi, but alas, other yelpers were right. Don't go to this place for sushi, only go for the Chinese/Thai dishes. Even with the terrible sushi/crab rangoon experience, I still think their Chinese dishes (specifically, their lunch specials) are phenomenal. ****** My bf and I just ate here for lunch. We were both very satisfied with our meals and the price. He chose the sushi lunch plate; you pick three makis and a soup. He said he was pleasantly surprised with the freshness of his sushi and the flavorful miso soup. I opted for Chinese and ordered the traditional orange chicken, which came with an egg roll, egg drop soup and fried rice. Everything was delicious and served piping hot. The orange chicken was crispy and cooked perfectly. Can't speak to the egg roll, I hate them. Lunch bill was very affordable for the amount of food.

When I ate meat, I loved this place. Everything I've ordered has tasted amazing. Now I'm vegan, and I love everything vegan there. They deliver very fast and everything tastes so fresh and delicious. I don't understand why there are not higher ratings. Every time I've ordered vegan, they do not mess up and they serve me exactly what I want! I am very satisfied. I LOVE their pad thai too. It is soooo yummy :)

This is a nice little place in downtown Naperville. Chinese, Thai, and sushi. We had an excellent lunch here of All 3. First, the egg drop soup was superbly done. Had a touch of sesame oil which made it super tasty. Then, crab rangoons that were just about perfect. Thai fried rice was good, next time i will ask for spicy which i forgot to do. Crunch rolls of crab, very good, and also Gen, Tsao chicken with regular fried rice. All very good. The place was kind of empty, I don't get it. The prices are not bad for Naperville. Service was good, although it can be hard to understand your waitress. They have liquor.

*Another Update* We made it back to Jin 28 and had a better experience. Our server was helpful, my husband enjoyed his Thai dish, I loved the Shiroi Brown roll and the kids got their usual Udon noodles. *Update* I was pleasantly surprised to receive a hand written note and credit for future order after our less than perfect experience last week (described below). I hadn't planned to revisit Jin 28 but I keep thinking about the hot and sour soup and after such great service recovery, I'll consider it again. You should too! ***SLOW DELIVERY*** So I wasn't wild about Jin 28 when we dined in but when faced with requests for sushi, Pad Thai and fortune cookies by my family members, I thought I'd give it a shot. I ordered online - pretty straightforward tool. Received confirming email saying delivery would be 1 hour. After 75 minutes, I called to confirm the systems were working properly and was told another 20-25 minutes. In total, our food took 2 hours. Beyond irritation with the delay, I had requested plain udon noodles in the notes as there wasn't a way to order them. They were not included in my bill or with my food. The diverse menu is a plus. The hot and sour soup was above average and a nice thickness (not slimy like it can be some places). The egg drop soup was also very nice. We enjoyed the flavor of the noodle dish though the noodles themselves were a bit doughy. The sushi rolls were just okay - the Mexican was not spicy, the philly roll very thin. I love the one-stop-Asia-shop concept, the execution just isn't there...

The interior designer gets two stars. The decor is lovely, with a modern yet warm feel. Another star goes to the attentive service. Never did my water drop below 80% full, despite my valiant efforts. The staff were prompt, courteous, and responsive. Unfortunately, that leaves no stars for the food. The egg drop soup was good. The pad thai was mediocre at best. I would never order it again. The cashew chicken was fine, but it's a hard dish to screw up. My hope is that this restaurant makes great sushi. I'll be back again to give their maki a try. With nice decor and an excellent staff, all Jin 28 is missing is great food.

Strange to read so many poor reviews? A group of friends and I had a fantastic meal, soup, appetizers, sushi, and dinners and the bill was super cheap!?! Miso soup fantastic. Sushi super fresh. Tofu Pad Thai excellent. Great portions! Service was impeccable. Our water glasses never reached half full and the tea was flowing! Our server came by several times to make sure we were completely satisfied! It was a full house with all different types of clientele and several families. The ambiance is soothing and the restaurant is impeccably clean. It was our first time dining here and we will be returning!

    I. Love. This. Place. I sometimes walk inside, just to check the menu because it has such a relaxing feel to it. I can literally feel every muscle in my body relax as soon as I walk through the door. I'm not sure what it is about the place, good vibes or whatever, but it's awesome. The food is very good too. I especially love their fruit smoothies; particularly the pineapple.

We chose Jin because of the low prices, nice decor and packed room. Must be good, right? Well, I couldn't tell you. We were greeted and seated within about 3 minutes of walking in, which is fine on a busy Saturday night. Then nothing happened.... maybe 10 minutes later, someone wordlessly brought us two plates. Some more time goes by.... we quietly get chopsticks and napkins before the waiter runs away. We watch waiters interacting with surrounding tables. No one seems to have food but at least they've been acknowledged. Finally we're brought a small plate with cabbage and carrots soaked in vinegar ?? Still no water or "hello I'm your waiter." In fact they avoid eye contact at all costs and refuse to respond to our waves. Finally enough was enough. We figured if it takes that long to greet you and bring a glass of water, goodness knows when we'd receive our sushi, if we were ever given a chance to order it. There were two sushi chefs behind the counter and maybe 80 diners in the packed restaurant, - none had food in front of them. We cut our losses and walked down the street to a small, family-run sushi place that cost a little more and didn't look like much but treated us like royalty. I'll take that over Jin any day.

Ehhhh. Its ok. This is ur typical chinese-american fast food. Lunh special is a great value but you do get what you pay for. Good amount of food but not a whole lot of flavor. Nothing special here.

Never gonna make it. Sorry, Jin. Never gonna make it. I went here after doing a show at The Comedy Shrine in the area, and used to live in the area, but now moved. I know how Naperville restaurants go... people go at first because it's something new, "Ooh, Let's try this place." and then they flock to it in the first few weeks and then the clientèle slowly but surely drops. People stick to their staples: Jimmy's, Sushi House, Sullivan's, La Sorella, etc. What do these places also all have in common.... they have outdoor seating... this place does not. Frankly, it's like the same thing as Moshi Moshi, and I have no idea how that place is still kicking. The market is too concentrated for mediocre sushi places. Now, for my review. Decor: Very nice, cute, city like. But, a little confused... contemporary floral and Japanese in front and 'Friends Sushi" like white and blue in back. Too eclectic for this town. I liked it, though. Food: Disgusting. Disgusting. Gross. Chemical tasting and frozen fish. Disgusting. Service Terrible minus one woman who was very nice, other than that.... terrible. I wish i could say this place was at least clean... but can't, there was a big green bug on my mother's plate and bits of food in the forks. This place is brand new.... and will soon be gone. 2 stars for decor.

One of my friends has already reviewed Jin, and said pretty much all there is to say about it, but it bears repeating that this place is so good! I've been here a few times already, and I mostly get the sushi with a side. Their sushi is small but oh so good! I've also had some miso soup, egg rolls and potstickers, and they are always delicious! Great setting and view and great staff! So friendly!

I just happened to come across this place while in the neighborhood this afternoon and a friend and I took a look at the menu and figured we'd give it a go. Much to our dismay, the $4.99 lunch special tasted like it had been sitting out for awhile and could have been bought at a Dominick's. It wasn't fresh and something about it gave it a chewy consistency. I've been eating sushi all over the city for the last ten years and could honestly say this place was the worst of the worst. GEEZ. But I'll leave it at- "You get what you pay for." I didn't even both to try anything else on the menu besides the Miso soup which tasted like it came from a base bought at Produce World, HyVee or Whole Foods.

This place is great! I just stopped in for lunch and am enjoying pad sie eiw with shrimp. The shrimp does not have tails on it. There are loads of shrimp and vegetables in this. Its only costing me $8 and I also get soup and crab rangoon! Try it out! I have had sushi here before and it was great!

Really disappointing. I stopped in here on my way to an appointment in Naperville. The place looked modern and like it would have some really cool Asian options. I had the "five course" meal for $13.95 -- selected the hot and sour soup (the best part of the meal -- and I'd give it maybe 3 1/2 stars), ginger salad (just ok), and vegetarian pot stickers (fried, and not very fresh). My entree was 3 rolls: spicy tuna (lacking in tuna and spicy), yellowtail and scallion (lacking scallion) and salmon roll. All of the rolls were SKIMPY and practically flavorless! The fifth course was a standard-issue almond cookie. They do have cheesecakes, but I thought that was weird at a Chinese restaurant. With hot tea, tax and tip, this was a very disappointing $20 meal. I left still craving great sushi. If I hadn't been in downtown Naperville, I might have given this a third star. But to stand out among great restaurants in the area, Jin 28 needs to step it up.

Absolutely wonderful! I was with my friend down the street at the Apple store when we had a taste for sushi. We came here and were nicely surprised! The decor is very cute and modern... lots of nice textures and warm colors. The service was great! The waitress was very helpful and let me substitute an eel roll for the spicy tuna in the Mixed Maki entree. The miso soup was DELICIOUS as well as the salad -- just enough ginger dressing and the veggies were fresh! The sushi was absolutely fantastic too... great portions and it tasted great. I got all of this food for 12 dollars... what a steal! I will definitely come back... and bring more friends! :)

We noticed this place while walking through downtown Naperville. They were advertising a $15 five course dinner which seemed like a good deal so we decided to try it. The menu has both sushi and pan-asian types of dishes. Based on the other reviews here, I decided not to try the sushi and went with the Mongolian chicken. For $15, I received a pretty good sized soup, salad, appetizer, main dish and mini dessert. All of the food was actually quite good. Everyone at our table ordered noodle/rice dishes so I can't really comment on the sushi. We all enjoyed our dishes and I think for the price, it was a very good value. The restaurant is well decorated, service was friendly and attentive and overall the dinner was a great experience.

First off, I don't feel too good. No, really, I just ate there and I'm feeling a little...off. That said, here's my actual review: The food was terrible! I got the california roll/sushi combo and was horribly disappointed. The miso soup was terribly bland. The salad was pre-made with some fake ginger dressing. The sushi was SUPER tough and rubbery. I've never had frozen sushi before but I can only imagine that this is what it tastes like. The california roll was VERY strange. The seaweed was inedible and everything seemed, well, warm. I'd advise you not to come here, ever. There's a certain level of trust between a sushi restaurant and its customers; sadly, this place has lost mine.

So me my sister and her friend decided to eat out and originally had a different restaurant in mind, but since we were already in front of Jin 28 (and they had bubble tea!) we decided to give it a shot. Since it was a weekday it wasn't very busy and we were seated right as we walked in. We ordered the crab rangoon as an appetizer and both the orange chicken and pad thai for the main course! Also I decided to get myself some mango bubble tea, which was delicious! The crab rangoon was the best and it even had nice big crab chunks in it! Now on to the orange chicken (my favorite)...it was really good, but one of the reasons I gave this place a three is because the flavors weren't all that great. I mean they were good, but it just tasted like orange chicken I've had at several other asian restaurants. The other reason was the pad thai. I was expecting way more from this dish, but it just didn't do it for me and I've had way better at other places for way cheaper! It was a nice little place and would definitely give it another shot, but overall for a first timer it wasn't all that special.

The Pad Woon Sen was AWFUL. I could not eat it. It was a huge pile of red noodles with huge pieces of Tofu and about 2 tiny pieces of green onion. I even wondered if it WAS Pad Woon Sen! The waitress said yes it was and offered to give me a side of vegetables for $2 extra. No offer to take back the plate and order something else instead.

How can every good Asian restaurant in Naper be closed for "remodeling"?? --Something just seems rather suspect about that...According to Grubhub, Jin 28 was my best/closest option for Asian. With a small face and large hazelicious eyes pleading for tempura and miso, I caved. After having eaten here at least 6 times now, I find that each experience causes me to like it less and less, so I will review it now --before another experience whittles it away to a 1-star. Curry. --a gelatinous abomination. I'm quite certain it came from a jar. It had a "solid" feel to it and it clung strangely to the chicken and onions. I gag just thinking about it. Mapo Tofu -- Watery. And it claimed to have tofu and ground pork but there was no ground pork to be found. No flavor depth at all. All I could taste was jalapeno. A huge disappointment. My husband's is definitely better and I once begged him to never make me mapo tofu again. --so take from that what you will. Wonton Soup. --the tiniest wantons I have ever seen. Two in my whole bowl and they were each the size of a grape tomato. Mostly just watery broth full of julienne vegetables. I would never order that again. Sushi --it was fine. The flavors were fine. But still "meh". Miso --the dashi was a little weak and the tofu pieces miniscule. Tempura was fine. I don't know that you can screw up a fried vegetable. My kids jump on tempura like monkeys on cupcakes and Jin 28's was no different. Everyone snatching the broccoli. We had shrimp in ours as well. Long, limp, skinny "jumbo shrimp". --"limp" anything is just a huge turnoff to me. So... a big no thank you. It took care of the craving my child with the hazelicious eyes had, but I'm pretty sure my 6th attempt was my last.

Sushi was mediocre. The seaweed paper was chewy. Honestly I've had better sushi in Iowa. No I would not recommend this place plus it was pricy. So not worth the money.

This place isn't for your college roommate who studied abroad for a year in Beijing, and now mocks your pedestrian affection for sweet and sour chicken. Your aunt who lived in San Francisco for ten years before her divorce and now claims to be an expert in wasabi won't be impressed either. But Jin 28 does provide conventional Chinese food options that will quench your hunger, as well as better than average sushi, including my favorite, the Kamikaze Roll. The service can be spotty at times. Conveniently located next to Hagan Dasz.

Worst customer service ever. It wasn't at all busy and we were 1 out of 3 tables. They got our order wrong especially when my friend gave very specific instructions on what she didn't want. The items came out staggered even though ordered on time. Best part is there was a hair in the food. We tell them and they take it back and then come back with the hair strand arguing it was none of theirs. We all had dark brown hair and it was a blond strand. Instead of apologizing then we had to hear these lame excuses. They do not understand customer service at all.

Grub Hub's pickins for my area are SLIM yall, but tonight I really really really REALLY needed Chinese food so I decided to chance it and order from Jin 28. Great success! I was a little worried because the menu is extraordinarily varied and MASSIVE, and I always feel like ya can't be good at everything, ya know? Like why does this restaurant do Thai, Chinese, sushi...? But I didn't panic and pressed on - I ordered potstickers, orange chicken, the BBQ pork lo mein, and a philly roll for my husband and I to share. GrubHub estimated our wait to be 50 mins and I patiently (crabbily... I was hangry) waited for the food to arrive. 75 mins later, I was like turbo mega ultra starving and getting angry when our door finally buzzed. My husband went to answer the door to find a small Asian man running toward him shouting "SO SORRY SO SLOW TONIIIIIIGHT!!!" He thrust the food at him and off he went. Well, points for presentation, I guess. The food was all packed neatly and smelled delicious. The potstickers had a weird texture (I'm used to steamed or pan fried, these were like straight up deep fried), but the sauce that accompanied them was delightful. The orange chicken was good, but nothing special. The bbq pork lo mein was DELICIOUS. Thick, well-cooked noodles in a delightful brown sauce with assorted veggies and a generous portion of thinly sliced, well-flavored BBQ pork pieces. I could have eaten just this as my whole entree, but we were sharing, dammit. The philly roll was shockingly good for delivery, and I would totally venture into more exotic sushi selections for our next order. The food here isn't cutting edge or trendy or memorable, but it's well priced, well portioned, fresh, and they deliver. On some nights, that's all I need to be happy. I'll definitely add Jin 28 to the rotation.

Let me preface the fact that this was not the original restaurant that we were planning on eating at, but kind of glad that it worked out that we did! Reading reviews ... one thing in common, stay away, or even run away from the Pad Thai... GOT IT! Almost makes you want to order it to see why it's so bad! The kids meal is nice and inexpensive. A little on the unhealthy side. Wish they offered less fried options and like a veggie side of broccoli or beans or something, for 5 dollars, can't really complain too much though. Hot and Sour Soup - actually pretty decent here. No complaints and I am a hot and sour soup snob! I ordered the chicken and lobster sauce. When I read that I could have chicken instead of shrimp in the traditional shrimp and lobster sauce dish, I was ecstatic. Sometimes I just don't feel the shrimp, but want the yummy sauce. This was pretty yummy as well. It was missing something in terms of flavor, but it was okay. My husband got the Lard Na. Huge plate, looked good, he didn't complain, and ate his leftovers for lunch. He said it too was just missing something in the flavor, maybe a little more salt. Either downtown Naperville is getting crazier in terms of how packed it is, or I am just getting older ... hope it's the not the latter, but there was no wait, food was decent, service was good, so if everyone else is booked, give this place a try. I can't vouch for "bad" pad thai though ... still makes me curious!! HA

This is my first time ordering take out from Jin 28. I had ordered mini crispy shrimp rolls and the jalapeño spicy fried rice, added chicken to the dish. I usually eat at phat noodles (shout out) for spicy fried rice, all the time. However, I decided to try this place upon someone's request. First of, the spicy fried rice are far different from the traditional fried rice that I have had with carrots, peas and other veggies. At Jin 28, their fried rice had big round jalapeño, green and red colored green peppers, white onion, and basil. The other ingredients that were included were fried egg and crushed pepper and of course white meat boneless chunks of chicken. The chicken was well cooked. I was impressed actually because the basil made it seemed really good with the flavors and for me personally it was not too spicy but still good to eat again. The rice were good quality not to tiny as in other places. The second thing was mini crunchy shrimp rolls. These were eight pieces and the we're just shrimp inside mini spring roll sheets and nope there were no veggies inside. The shrimps were cooked and lightly flavored, which made them yummy. If you eat when they are cold then the shrimp rolls are not too crispy so eat while they are hot. Lastly, I was served with many sweet and sour sauce and soy sauce plus a fortune cookie. Orginally, I had planned to order just spicy fried rice but ended up having to order extra because the Jin 28 has a minimum order of takeout of $10.00. However, there is no regret of ordering the mini shrimp rolls. So far the first impression of this place for food was good.

I had heard raving reviews of this place and being an endless lover of thai food dives, I hurried in. The atmosphere was just how I prefer my thai venues, like an oddly decorated, southeast Asian cafeteria. My waiter was prompt and perfectly attentive! They had a massive menu with tons of options (even for my picky diet ). I ordered my all time thai guilty pleasure, Pad Thai, no eggs with tofu! I was mildly disappointed when I receive my dish. The noodles were undersauced and underwhelming. The tofu was ill prepared. It was good enough, but who wants a meal deemed sufficient? Perhaps their other items would be better. If I was in town longer I would give it another try!

I've ordered from here a few times. Their Thai curry dishes and noodles had good taste and portions. I liked being able to have choices such as Tofu or Veggie chicken to put in them. The lemongrass soup also had a nice flavor to it. Their delivery fee is a bit high compared to other places.

Quantity over quality would accurately describe this place. I mean wow, they have Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Vietnamese...the list goes on, I'm pretty sure there is more than that. Curries, noodles, rices, fried rices, sushi, pho, bento boxes...etc. It's a lot of stuff. It's all good, not fantastic but good. I feel like they stretch themselves a bit thin. I had beef pho, which was pretty decent. The beef was kind of blah. But the presentation was nice, lots of veggies to go into it and the broth had a great flavor. If you are with a group of people and everyone wants Asian food but no one can decide on which kind of Asian food, this is your place.

This is my favorite sushi place in the entire world (okay, I haven't been all over the world, but, you know). It'll always be in my heart. You seriously can't beat a sushi place that offers options for $10 Mixed Vegetable Maki that ALSO includes miso soup and that salad with amazing dressing. AND if you go at the right time, they have happy hour as well, where everything is 40% off. That's crazy amazing. And their food never, never disappoints. When I lived in Naperville, any time anyone wanted to get sushi, this was my first suggestion. Even better, they deliver, and the delivery charge isn't very high, so there's no excuse not to tip this angelic company very well. This place is the absolute best and I'm currently dreaming of it right now.

I've dined in and ordered delivery here several times. In nearly all instances the food took exceptionally long to be delivered or even brought to our table. While the menu is extensive, the quality is sporadic. I've gotten cold entrees (gasp), and I've had delicious beef with broccoli. Sadly the negative customer service and subpar quality out weigh the few positives this place had. I would not recommend this to other people. Go elsewhere. (Oh, as I write this I've been waiting over an hour and a half for a simple delivery order.... I called several times just to be rebuffed by the gal answering the phone). As I write the number of stars keeps declining. Epic fail Jin.

I walked in to this location with a friend at 2:52 expecting the 40% Sushi Happy Hour they were advertising outside the restaurant . Waitress told us she wasn't going to honor it unless we wanted to come back in 10 minutes? By the time she grabbed us some water & took our order , it would have been past 3 o'clock . Second waitress came and told us she wasn't going to honor the price . Okay , that was fine , we just got up and left without ordering anything . The extra few bucks for a sushi roll isn't the issue , it's lack of respect towards customers . It's after lunch hours , you don't have any patrons eating at your restaurant at the moment , you have customers who are sitting ready to order , eat & pay , & you choose to deny that because you want to be stubborn . Not the best attitude to have while running a business .

We order their delivery once every two weeks and we absolutely love it. Their sushi is really great, it's hard to believe you can get quality sushi delivered! Our typical order includes crab Rangoon, California Roll, Mexican Roll, Orange Shrimp, Mongolian Shrimp, seaweed salad.... Always very satisfied with the food.

I am sorry but this was just awful, my pad Thai was this pink color and they uses firm tofu. The crab Rangoon was soggy and it just tasted all together old, that is the only way I can describe it. Just an all together bad experience.

My husband and I frequent this spot for various reasons. 1. Clean & comfortable atmosphere 2. Great customer service 3. A good variety of Asian food selection Our order usually consists of the Thai Crazy Spicy Noodles, Pad See Ew, Crab rangoon, and some sort of Fried rice. The Pad Thai is 99% of the time on point as well. We go to Jin28 for lunch, late lunch/early dinner, dinnertime - both busy times and slow hours and have always received a warm welcome no matter what. I would definitely say go with either Chinese cuisine or Thai food at Jin's. I have given their Sushi a try several times, and unfortunately, I have always been disappointed. Rice is usually too dry or a bit crunchy, some of their sauces can be a bit too sweet or overly salty. I would recommend the Chicago Roll if you do decide to try out their Maki. *Try to stay away from the Lobster Roll! The topping sauce was way too sweet and the entire roll was a tad too cold for my taste.* Aside from their subpar Sushi, we LOVE Jin & his friendly staff & the Chinese & Thai cuisine! Oh, and definitely try out their super affordable lunch menu! You get a good amount of food for a decent price. So happy Jin28 is so close to where we live! :)

I'm not sure what happened with this place and GrubHub, but a month into ordering there the restaurant stopped accepting delivery orders. What sucks about it is I really enjoyed their avocado maki rolls. The tofu miso soup wasn't tasty at all though. The vegetable leaves were too big, and the broth was bland. But the maki rolls were the best. The only thing I didn't like about this location was the delivery guy never waited on the person to pick up the order. He'd drive up, give the order to the receptionist and before someone could come out to get the food all you'd see was this guy's taillights. He did that at least five times. I guess he felt like he got his tip so why bother hanging around. I never went to the actual restaurant. I did call one time to find out what the ingredients were in some item (can't remember why) and the cashier started screaming about he didn't know and hung up the phone. Customer service is clearly not this place's strong point. But because I loved the food I kept ordering there for awhile longer. Now that it's not on GrubHub, I have no use for it.

I order Sushi on a Sunday a threw 90% out, It smelled. I order Gyoza and it was dry and inedible. The egg rolls where dry/tough and you could tell they where frozen out of a box. Honestly, I spent $47.00 and $15.00 was eaten. I will never go back ewwwww!

I contemplated not posting this review, but I'm still in disgust. I ordered 2 maki rolls, and so did my mate. They were good, no complaints there. As, we were waiting for our bill, my fiancée quietly said, oh sh*t, and told me to move. As I, looked over my shoulder, I saw the largest cockroach EVER! Like, the hissing ones that you've seen on TV. We didn't cause a commotion, no one else in the restaurant knew what was going on, but we called the first worker that we saw. He grabbed a napkin and squished it, so GROSS, it was! Where he killed it, he never came back to clean up the remaining residue. It totally ruined my lunch, and as I type, I want to vomit in my mouth. They quickly brought us our bill, and made their disclaimer, that their restaurant was clean, and that they sprayed every morning. I'm not convinced! That cockroach was not afraid of us, which further let's me feel, that it was "a regular". I'm just thankful, that we didn't order anything from the kitchen, although with bugs, it probably doesn't matter. Not, that we were looking for a discount, but no one even offered. Just Beware!!

Menu maybe overwhelming. Lots to choose from. The wait for our food did take longer than usual but worth the wait. Portions are generous. Excellent food and great service! Definitely going to recommend this to my friends and family!

They brought the wrong dish for me, and for a table of four, each dish was brought out late. Overall mediocre food, not worth the Naperville prices. They should stick to one cuisine not so many that they clearly don't know.

Overall they are pretty good. Me and my friend ordered sushi ( sweet potato roll and crazy potato roll) and two main dishes ( Beef pad see ew and chicken Panaag curry ). They have a very extensive menu. And they do most stuff "OK". It's good, but not amazing. I have been there 3 times so far and would say it's a pretty good place to go to if you're craving Asian food while in downtown Naperville.

One question: Why is the pad thai pink? My theory: They use sweet and sour sauce perhaps? Or they don't know what pad thai is? Either way, for Asian food to be this restaurant's "thing," they are a far cry from that. I am not Asian nor a culinary expert, but I can safely say I'd prefer my home cooked Asian food than here. In fact, I'd rather have a pad thai TV dinner than theirs. To top it off, their sushi is cheap, which speaks for itself. You get what you pay for. I gave this place a few chances and it was never consistent. Bad sushi, terrible pad thai, and inconsistent when I ordered their orange chicken (part of it was hot, the center of it was cold). I tried all three of their cuisine types: Japanese, Thai, and Chinese and all were bad. I gave Jin 28 more chances than it deserved. I will not be returning. There are other sushi restaurants in the area with far better quality and care.

Went here last night. Amongst our group, we had panang curry, basil fried rice, vegetable egg rolls and 3 different sushi rolls. The best sushi was the yellow river. The crunchy roll wasn't that of a typical "crunchy roll", meaning it didn't so much have the crunch as it had toasted panko sprinkled on top...just so so. The Godzilla roll was good although it had pretty much the same flavors as the crunchy so a bit un-memorable. The overall experience was good as the food for the price met our expectations, however, there were some glitches... First, I ordered vegetable egg rolls and on the menu it states that it comes with peanut sauce. Okay...peanut sauce is a staple in Thai foods so that combined with the fact that it's on the menu, you'd think it would come! When it didn't and I asked our server for some and she said "they don't have that but that she can bring curry peanut sauce." Bless her for trying, but I couldn't help but think what the??? Referring to this same waitress, I really do feel bad because I think the whole strange experience with her was due to a language barrier. My aunt ordered basil fried rice with tofu and vegetables. The waitress didn't get the vegetables part, but she later took the plate back and said she would quickly cook up and add in vegetables and apologized. My uncle had the panang curry with brown rice. It looked delicious and he said it was so since I didn't try it let's assume it was good. I liked this place-will come back. Unlike so many Naperville places, this is a small and intimate setting which can be so hard to find. Wish there was outdoor seating but oh well. I think one thing they have going for them no doubt, is the fact that they deliver. Can't wait for those chilly winter nights when I don't have to leave the house for sushi!

Bangkok thai was closed to decided to try jin 28...... Very sad to give a bad review.... Ordered delivery one night- which I must say was an easy process done online and everything was delivered nicely. Unfortunately- the food kinda sucked. Quite possibly the worst pad Thai I have ever had, even worse than the time I attempted to make my own pad Thai when I first started cooking many years ago. We did not eat those leftovers, as we did not eat these leftovers.... The basil beef we ordered had one small piece of basil in it and was smothered with bell peppers. I thought for a second I ordered steak and peppers? I was so confused. Was nothing like the Thai dish that I expected and have had at other places, including freakin Thailand. Thai red curry was okay, but again, way too many bell peppers in it what in the world?! The only thing that was pretty good was the sushi we ordered. All I wanted that night was good pad Thai and good Thai curry. Very very disappointed. Oh and quite overpriced for the quality!!

Wow. Just wow. This has to be my favorite sushi place in Naperville. The servers are incredibly attentive. The interior is clean and beautiful. The menu is straightforward. Most importantly, everything was fresh and beautifully crafted. I begun with a seaweed salad, followed by a cucumber roll and sashimi. Unagi (eel), Tako (octipus), and Ika (squid). Please, do yourself a favor and give this place a try. Also ask questions, as the servers are more than happy to help you out.

ate here on a whim with my uncle. i tried their pad thai, my uncle says is okay but i didnt like it so much. I think im just spoiled by gumrai thai and their pad thai. My uncle got a combo maki sushi, he said it was okay but he's had better. i also got a mango strawberry tapioca smoothie and it wasnt that good. i dont think its made with fresh fruit.

My review is based off of eating sushi and salad here, 4 times within the past month. I can't say enough good things! Their lunch special (two sushi rolls of the lunch menu and a soup or salad) is perfect for a quick lunch! Their ginger dressing for their salad happens to be the kind I LOVE (sweet, salty, creamy and gingery) and although they make their Philly rolls a little different than I'm accustomed to (they use lettuce and no avocado), I really enjoy them! Try this place! You don't have anything to lose! :)

Mediocre food, bad service. We had out of town friends with a 17 months old daughter. When asked for plain noodles with butter for her, the server said they could not do it and we had to order a soup with noodles instead. The Green Curry and the Panang curry were pretty much the same.

Order online often, delivery guy is always friendly! Great food! One of my favorite Chinese restaurants in Naperville!

Such good food and great service. I loved the kids option. It was a big portion good for two kids. The sushi was delicious. I've dined with them before and tried their lunch special which is a really good deal. I'll definitely be back.

One word.

Have been here twice for lunch. I am at a loss as to why this place isn't busy. The food is delicious and the service is attentive. The crunch roll and egg drop soup are two of my favorites. The lunch specials are value priced and generously portioned. My husband and I both brought food home. We will be back!

The sushi here is delicious! Usually I'm skeptical of a restaurant that serves Thai AND Chinese AND sushi, but it really was well prepared and beautifully presented. We ordered three different maki rolls and shared. Each was as delicious as the next. I wanted more. More!

The end

  • Rebecca M.

Great food and a huge kids meal for free! Price of adult meal was average for this high quality of food.

Not overly impressed. Staff is friendly and attentive but I wouldn't consider this much better than low grade sushi at best. Again not impressed. Maybe I will try again.

I have to say this place has been the most consistent on their flavor on any meal you order. Great food for the cost!! Love this place...better then Emperor!!!

Some of the nicest people around town... I frequent Jin 28 for lunch and dinner a few times a month. My service had always been exceptional and the food has always been delicious. I would recommend it any day.

Very nice atmosphere and attentive/friendly staff. The panang curry is one of the best I have ever had! Must try the indian pancake appetizer!!!

This place made me so sick! The sushi is bad and poorly put together. I do not suggest anyone going to Jins...choose someplace else.
