Well I must say I can't get enough of their pie they definitely have the best pie and coffee around and my service was excellent. I prefer the French silk after the fajita pita with French fries. The pie selection is both warm or cold and you can get it by itself or a la mode. Try baker square for the food but the pies are absolutely delicious. This location is convenient too right across the street from Westfield mall which is convenient and close to my house.

I love this place, and am very disappointed I live far enough to where I cannot enjoy this place as often as I'd like to. Honestly I'm not a Pie guy, but i love the food they serve whether it's breakfast or lunch or dinner. The best thing in the menu in my opinion is the homemade Mac and cheese. It has bacon, bread crumbs , different kinds of cheese sauces and for a little extra you can add a fried chicken breast. It's never packed so you'll get your food quickly and if you check the paper you'll find coupons occasionally.

We picked up a seasonal Hawaiian strawberry pie for $14. You get a decent pie at this price.

The food at this place is actually delicious. The veggies and potatoes are juicy and fresh in the skillets. The pancake batter they use is something special because the cakes are super tasty . The menu is small so if you like a menupedia to chose from then you'll be disappointed. I'm not sure about lunch food quality. I only ate breakfast here twice. What made me laugh is the employee who rang us out at the register. I asked her split the check down the middle, so she called up another employee and this woman gave me an elaborate response about how it's not possible to split down the middle because she would need to use the calculator on her phone and then her manager will see her on the phone and she will get in trouble so the only way she can split it is to charge us per the seat. Note: If you want to evenly split the check then be sure to bring your own calculator!

I've been going to this location for years since my kids love it. I've never had a terrible experience. The food is average, reasonably priced and the pie is always great. I almost always have breakfast. Today I had their pick 4 breakfast special. I got 2 eggs, country style potatoes, bacon (for my little one) and a strawberry crepe. All that for 7.00 or so. I love their country potatoes, they are well seasoned and just delish. The service there is either hit or miss. They have the sweetest servers and then there's the average. Today I had average, she wasn't very friendly, she did her job though but I've had better. I heard her ask all of her tables if they had room for pie, but she didnt ask me and just brought me my check . I LOVE Their apple pie and I either get a slice to eat there or to go. Today I was planning on getting 3 slices, one for me and my daughters. It would have been nice to get asked, I'm not sure why she didnt ask me, I had to asl her for pie. And I bought a french silk pie to go. I will always eat at Bakers Square, their pie is just too good. Yum

French silk pie yum!!! This is the last bakers square in a 15 to 20 mile radius that I know of... next one in lagrange and another one by kingery rt 83. You get a free slice of pie with any entree purchase on Wednesdays! SCORE!!! I love me some pie!!!! =) The French Apple Cheese Cake Pie is a slice of heaven!!!!! Num num num num!!! 3 stars cuz the service sucked, and the butternut squash soup was kinda gross. Open till midnight on weekends! I think 10 or 11 every other night.

We stopped in tonight after eating dinner across the street because we wanted dessert. When we came in it was hard to figure out where to go. There was a check out counter with several people in line, a large table displaying pies right in the middle of the waiting area, two large parties who looked like they were leaving on the booths, and on the other side of this large assembly, an unmanned hostess stand. We didn't spot said hostess stand until a few people cleared out, and then it was hard to navigate to it because of the displays and people. Once we got to the hostess stand we waited a couple of minutes before a supervisor came and seated us. She handed us menus and took our drink orders, which seemed odd, but we played along. When she came back with our drinks we ordered our pie slices with her, and I was just assuming she was both supervisor and waiter on top of hostessing. I found out I was wrong when our actual waiter came over and threw our plates on the table and walked away. I'd love to tell you this gentleman's name, but he never gave it to me. We were then ignored for the next 40 minutes when he finally came back and asked if we'd like our check. We'd planned on purchasing a pie to go, but I just couldn't bring myself to interact with this man any longer than we had to, so we just told him yes. Now it was our turn to clutter up the entranceway, while we waited several minutes for someone to come to the register so we could pay. Everyone in the building seemed to be doing several jobs at once and I'm not sure if it's because they were short staffed or if it was bad management. The pie was great though. Normally we buy whole pies for the holidays and I think from now on we're going to stick to that pattern and get our date night pie elsewhere.

Been a customer here for many years, and have to say that corporate management is making awful menu decisions lately. Most recently they actually stopped offering oat bran bread as a choice of bread for sandwiches. Seriously how hard is it to buy a loaf of oat bran bread and stick it on a shelf with the other bread?! The other bread options (wheat, rye, white) just don't do it for me, so won't be coming back here for sandwiches anymore. They also discontinued the apple walnut salad sandwich which was always a favorite of my mom's, and prior to these last two bad decisions they also discontinued the Shrimp Feast where you used to be able to get 13 fried shrimp. Although the interior of the restaurant is generally clean and comfortable, service is usually below average, and the menu.... Well it used to be good but now I just have a hard time finding anything worth eating here anymore other than the pies! From what I can tell corporate management ignores feedback so not expecting improvement in the menu anytime soon. Vote with your wallet, as they say!

Eating at Bakers Square is the culinary equivalent of visiting your elderly granny. I was dragged here by some coworkers and from the moment I stepped through the door I had flashbacks to my childhood trips downstate to visit my granny, doing anything to stave off boredom while she watched Lawrence Welk and napped. In my grannies defense her cooking was a lot better than the slop at Bakers Square

The food here is adequate for the price. Nothing outstanding, but nothing awful, either. The problem with this restaurant is the service. It is always hit or miss. They should change the name of this restaurant to "Las Vegas", since you will always gamble on the service. Some of the wait staff are excellent. The Latino gentleman (Marcellino?) is an example of a great waitperson. It's unfortunate Baker's Square can't clone him. Other waitpersons here act as if they are doing you a favor waiting on you. That attitude can extend to the hosts as well. Today, I asked the host (the guy who looks like he has a dead animal growing out of the top of his head) for some assistance paying our bill, and he told me I had to wait in line for the cashier rather than offer assistance himself. There were ten people in line in front of me, but the host couldn't be bothered. Instead, he stood there the entire time twirling flowers in his hands (it is Mother's Day today) watching the counter staff be overwhelmed. Quite a bad overall image. Inconsistent service is a sign of apathetic management and reflects poorly on the overall image of the restaurant. This is an issue that can be easily solved if management teaches employees to be motivated to assist customers. That's the difference between a successful restaurant, and the restaurant you patronize only as a last resort, if at all.

Who doesn't love Bakers Square's pies?! There are all kinds of varieties so I dunno if it's possible! The service at this Bakers Square has been excellent. The waitresses have always been very polite and very attentive. Both attributes I can appreciate! The food on the otherhand, it's not bad... Not the best but not bad. I feel like they have changed the menu every time I go back in and it's stuff that is not too intersting. But, that's a small price to pay for the pie. And yes, I know I can just purchase the pie to go but, the Limeade is pretty good. So I can live with alright food, good limeaid and fantastic pie each time the mood strikes for Bakers Square!

We walked past 5-6 dirty tables while Employee's Were folding children's menus.. Took 10 minutes to see our server walked two different people told us that our server would be with us in a minute, and they noticed us sitting and sitting... Pie was good that's why we gave you two stars.. Coffee was old and had a chemical flavor the. coffee pot that was laid on our table for our convenience ( or server not tty o be bothered with us? was filthy!!!..... After we were done we set another 10 to 15 minutes looking for our server for our check to leave finally had to ask another server for us to find Stanley.. He was present but he was extremely unattentive....... Once in awhile we have a craving for delicious pie but its so sad whenever we go to this location it has filthy tables filthy utensils or coffee pots and noticeably bad service every time... It doesn't help when you see so many employees just standing around having a good time with each other.. Instead of taking care of business.

I frequent the Square about four times a month. With that said, I'm an expert at this place - because I've been going here for about 10-20 years - even prior to the remodel. I've been going solid - for the last five years. I had quit going prior to that because of a bad server. No matter what time of day it's a good place for food! The breakfast is amazing, not a bad dish on the menu...and don't get me started about the pie - it's to DIE for!!! I'm a big fan of the pot pie, which is my all time favorite. I LOVE the flakey top crust and the Turkey Pot Pie is my favorite comfort food. I generally go on the weekend and our server for about five years is Terry!! She is by FAR the best in the place. When she is serving our table - your experience is top notch! They have an awesome 8oz steak for about $11 bucks and it's always cooked to your order. They are little light on the serving for the fries, but can you ever have enough fries - so if they short you just tell them about it and they will bring you out some more. I don't really ever remember having to send anything back...It's that good. I've given this place a five stars because overall the food is great, service is superb and it's consistent and always clean. They have great sourdough toast and the country fried steak and gravy are to die for. The salad and fruit is always super fresh. They have reasonable combo meals with the PIE - the strawberry rhubarb is my favorite - alamode - heated just a little with the ice cream on the side. I've eaten here at Thanksgiving too - and It's pretty AWESOME!!! The only down side however is the manager always seems to have an attitude - and he's a complete jerk - but I just try to avoid him. Keep him away from the customers and away from the register - and you will be fine. That's always been my only complaint. I don't have to give you his name - because if you go there - you will be able to tell right away who he is. Be particular too about the server - because they are not created equal. Ask for Terry first, then Jennifer and you should be fine for breakfast - in the evening it's a crap shoot, but the food is always good.

LOVE THE FOOD HERE! (especially the pies) Who doesn't love Bakers Square! I was very happy to find out that they still do the free pie day on Wednesdays after 8pm...if you order any drink, you get a free slice of pie! Hubby and I have already been here twice just to get the free pies after 8pm on Wednesday nights. I also really love their new flatbread salads and sandwiches--a great low carb option for lunch or dinner.

We went to this place not too long ago. I really wanted to like it, but there was nothing god about it. The service was ok, not horrible but not outstanding. The food however was not worth what we paid. They claim they have great pies, but our pie had no flavor, nothing great. We won't be returning to this place.

Ok so yesterday me and my parents decided to have breakfast here because last time we came the good and the service was very good. So with out hesitating we came here again for another delicious breakfast. Well, it turns out that we were wrong! The service was awful. The lady who waited us was grouchy and seemed like didn't care at all of what she was doing. Anyway, I could care less if she gave us good service or not because it's her reputation after all, but what I was looking forward was some delicious food. She comes takes our order and for this one I order the egg white veggie omelet(something supposedly healthy) so I wait and the food comes out, then I see my omelet and it's draining oil by the gallon! Then I grab a napkin and try to take some oil out of it by pressing down on it and letting the napkin absorb all the oil. So when I do that, I see a big puddle of oil forming on the plate of how much oil was coming out of it! And did I mention it was a "healthy" egg white omelet? Well I think she must of got the wrong order cause I did not order eggs and veggies soaked in oil! Never coming back to this place again! A bakers square just closed down by my house I hope they close this one as well. People don't need plates full if oil and free pie Wednesday won't compensate this disgusting food!

I have to say that this place is great, fairly priced and clean!!!! The food is good, the service is good and of course the PIE IS GOOD! There are not many Baker's Squares around anymore and this one is so well cared for, the management cares and the waitstaff works really hard to make sure that you have what you need. The menu is simple but pretty darn YUMMY, we love going here!

I wasn't a fan of Baker's Square a few years back, besides the pies. But their menu has vastly improved. I love the quisches - especially the (sadly discontinued) cheddar apple quische! The four square breakfast is a GREAT deal, where you can pick 4 menu items for $6.95 - which is amazing for someone as indecisive as me. So I can have an omelette AND crepes without having to spend big for 2 meals and end up with leftovers I'd probably have to throw away. I've also been impressed with the decor at this Baker's Square - MUCH nicer than Baker's Square of old, which are now mostly all gone.

I have always loved Baker's Square and was so disappointed when all the Baker's closed near where I live. It was my favorite place to meet friends over my lunch hour and I felt kind of lost when they closed the Wheaton, Villa Park and Downers Grove locations. Last weekend I was at a class in Aurora and on my way I passed this Baker's Square. I daydreamed about their stir fry salad throughout the class and decided to stop on my way home, even though I was by myself. I was nicely greeted, asked if I preferred a booth or a table (booth!) and was seated right away. The restaurant was pretty crowded at 1:30 on a Saturday. It was bright and sunny inside, clean and looked much nicer than the locations I used to go to. My waitress was very pleasant, was patient with my excitement that they still have my stir fry chicken salad, and even was willing to ask the cook to prepare it like I used to ask the Wheaton location to prepare it for me (no mushrooms, light on the sauce, no dressing). She was very kind and accomodating. It came out very quickly, with tons of chicken and colorful vegetables over the lettuce and was even better than I remembered it. I was in heaven! They now serve foccacia bread on the side and that was good too. They had changed their menu quite a bit in the past couple of years but still had my standby choices- the stir fry chicken salad and the chicken caesar salad. I think that little pie flip thing with pictures is genious- I wonder if people ever leave without ordering some kind of pie after looking through all those pictures and descriptions! I ordered a piece of triple berry pie for me and a slice of strawberry rhubarb for my husband to go and they were nice sized pieces. My server brought me my pie and check quickly. I was certainly not disappointed. I know it's a chain and so maybe I'm lame for thinking it's so awesome, but I am not ashamed! :)

I was going to give Bakers Square three stars and then I remembered just how much I love their pies. Our service was beyond outstanding, and the pie was even better! The food in general was pretty greasy, but still edible. I'm definitely a fan of their Strawberry Lemonade. Mmm, mmm, mmm!

One of the last few locations open that I know of...! I hope this store stays open for a long time because no pies remind me of 'home' like Bakers Square pies. Favorite Pies: When picking up pies for parties, we usually get banana cream pie or strawberry pie (huge berries!). If we have a craving for sweet, nothing beats the oh-so-yummy french silk. Atmosphere and Service: This weekend I dined in for an afternoon catch up session with a friend. We were intrigued by some of the new menu items, but in the end enjoyed sodas and pie slices. (I had a pomegranate limeade and a peanut butter cream pie. Odd pair, but still tasty!). The waitress was friendly and patient. Overall, it was the perfect casual place to relax and chat. Why Not 5 Stars? I gave a rating of 4 stars instead 5 because the place felt a little worn down and could benefit from some newer furniture or/and decor.

While wee like the restaurant their online program stinks. I joined the online program and received an online coupon for buy one get one free. What stinks is that they wouldn't accept a copy with the coupon code from my iPhone or iPad. The cashier was very snooty and said us MUST be a printed copy so she could staple it to the bill. "we don't do that electronics stuff". Well Bakers Square needs to get with the times, really? I don't have access to a printer, the code was clearly displayed and yet NOPE! And NOT the least bit nice about it either. I think I will skip the free offer, unenroll from their online program and spend my money someplace else. So Bakers Square, when you decide to join the current world, text me.

They remodeled and I've been there since about three times. You feel like they've upgraded their hygiene standards as well. I just feel bad for them because almost no one ever is in there for dinner. This really is worth your time, not only because of the way awesome pies, but also because they have some good stuff on their menu that doesn't taste prefabricated, oversalted, or uncared for. Very friendly staff who try. Get some pie if nothing else.. I don't want them to close and have to go all the way to Butterfield in DG for pie for goodness sakes! ;oP Also, don't wait to be noticed, that's the wallflower way. If you want service make sure you step forward and get it.

  • Michelle I.

They supposedly upgraded this location?? The menu is the same as others. Their hostess, possible manager has a personality of a dead fish! She was very unfriendly and uninviting! We weren't even greeted, we had to make a move to get noticed. I remember when Baker's Square was a decent place to grab a bite, now most of them are terribly managed, dirty and very disorganized!
