Mothers Day special, only buffet, no other option! 4 adults, 3 on diets, 2 children, 6 soft drinks. Bill set on our table for $90.14. Almost fell out of my chair! Food on buffet, mediocre at best. Sorry Turtles, you just overpriced yourselves out of 4 customers! We've all been there before and not one time has the bill been so steep. Funny way of observing Mothers Day. We bought gifts, this was an obvious ploy to gouge customers.

Awesome Ribeyes! Decent prices, always had great food when I visited here. The service isn't "the best" but it's BF illinois what do you expect? The highlight here for me is the steak for sure. The kids menu story below is kinda sad (shame on you turtles) but that being said, I wouldn't choose this joint if I could only eat 4oz, portions are very midwestern in style. More or less a family environment, kids, grandparents, and the in betweens make for an interesting dining experience. I'd love to hit that ribeye again!

The decor made me nervous. The food was excellent. We had the house salad, green bean fries, beer battered fried chicken and the French onion ribeye. Every thing exceeded my expectations. The steak was delicious. Would not hesitate to go there again.

Terrible food, terrible service. Been there about 5 times, can't take it anymore. How do you screw up a hamburger? Untrained surly teenagers as servers.

You can't just call your margarita the "Worlds Greatest" and put up 3,000 signs stating such because you feel like it. Great Salad and still a Morris staple! My app says the current review is shorter than most so I'm now just trying to make it longer... Ok we are good now.

Haven't been back to this place in years and was hoping for better food, however when I ordered their new burrito bowl it was horrible! I am a vegetarian, so obviously i asked for no meat. When I got it, I found small chicken pieces throughout the entire bowl which meant that this was a pre-packaged item that was not freshly made in the kitchen... Yuck!! Costly too for something that was pre-made.

We had not been there in years so thought we would try it on wing night which is my comfort go to food. We were greeted by a pleasant hostess and requested a booth. LOTS of booths open and she goes to seat us by a door that we didn't want to sit at. We pointed to the other open booths and asked to be seated there. Wow, gone was the sweet smile and pleasant personality when she honored our request. A very nice server came to our table and gave us our menus. I ordered the wings and my hubby ordered a chicken pasta dish with kind of an Alfredo sauce. Have you ever had wings that were so deep fried that they tasted and smelled like grease? I love fried wings but these left me unimpressed. Perhaps the oil needed to be changed. My husband said his chicken pasta dish was just ok. What was odd is that he first thought that there were 2 different types of pasta but really only one. It was loaded with hunks and slices of onion. Did not fair well with a pasta with chicken, mushrooms, pasta and Alfredo sauce. Not a place we would go back to again. Too many other restaurants in this area that will satisfy your crave for any kind of fried chicken when you want it.

July 14, 2015 Our new waitress was assigned to another table, after taking our order. We asked if she had quit. A couple little boys were running back and forth. Annoying. The food was average.

Very disappointed! The margarita was 'ok' to be nice definitely not worth $7 more like a $4 margarita. My salad was more like soup. And no one ever checked on my food which was a very thin, dry, steak sandwich. I finally found someone to ask for A1 (which I never use but it needed something) and she still didn't ask how anything was. Oh and I had lettuce on my fork when I unrolled my silverware roll and it took forever to get someone's attention to get a CLEAN fork. I can't see myself going back which is a shame. I was looking a nice little dinner place

I like Turtles. It's a nice little restaurant with awesome turtle drawings all over the place. Really dig the vibe. The food is decent. I kind of wish the portions were bigger, came away from here still hungry. But the food was good. And I think that is the most important part. Our waitress was very good, attentive, nice. I really wish I could give this place more stars but there's really nothing stand-ouish about it. Definitely check it out sometime if you have the chance and see for yourself what it has going on. Don't expect to be blown away, just look forward to a good time with decent food and service. So AVERAGE.

Gross....thats all I can say. Took forever to get our breadsticks and salad and then there weren't enough breadsticks and had to keep asking for more, one basket for 8 people. No bread plates or butter knives either, had to use our napkins and steak knives, its a lot of fun trying to get that butter out of those miniature cups with the point of a steak knife thats for sure. I got the fresh fruit instead of the salad, had to wait extra time for the fresh fruit which looked like it was five days old, I refused to even eat it. My husband tried a piece and said "Ewwwww". Ordered the chicken dinner, paid extra for the all white, they didn't tell me it would be all grease though. I touched it with my finger and the grease pooled on the crust. The double baked potato I paid extra for was barely warmed over, I had to send it back, still came back not that hot. This was the second time I got a less than mediocre meal there, I won't go back.

I think the resturant is a little confused of what they are supposed to be offering on the menu. "The Worlds Best Margarita" would be the best only if the world consisted exclusively of the restaurant. It was fun to go here when I was a child, I have different thoughts now.

Used to love this place... 12 years ago. The decor is so outdated it's not even pleasant walking in anymore. I recommend the owners paint and revamp the place to a more modern and contemporary design. And please tear out that awful tiki sports bar area. Oh and the games. Gross. On to the food... The house dressing is awesome and always has been. The rest of the food is overpriced and low quality. We used to go just for the skillet cookies, but they've gotten expensive and it's no longer a novel or unique idea. I could see this on a show like Kitchen Nightmares someday. They could use Chef Ramsey's advice... Just saying. Anyway, improve the food quality, update the decor, and hire quality staff and I think this place may actually be saved. I hope.

My parents wanted to go here for Steak Monday. Didn't like it last time they took me here a few years back. So at least I wasn't disappointed. Wish I had held to my offer to grill steak at home. Salad was good (yep the house dressing is good). We were able to substitute the fresh vegetable (broccoli) for the potato and it was not a skimpy serving and was good. However, the steaks are so thin (okay flavor) that medium rare is just hard to accomplish. One side was fully cooked and the other just seared. They also seated us next to a table they were arranging for a large group. Really? So eat fast before we are cramped and can't converse. Luckily, the group arrived at the end of the meal. Guess we don't want any desert Dairy Queen here we come. Please close for a weekend declutter, clean and paint since I may have to come here again.

We dropped in for dinner on a lark. The house salad is still pretty good, but some of the lettuce seemed a bit on the soft side (e.g., not very fresh). The main courses were fine - my steak was cooked to order, and I didn't need to add salt or pepper or anything else. The broasted potatoes weren't anything to write home (or here) about. They were okay. When I see broasted, I expect to see potatoes that are broasted, not cut into wedges, salted and baked. The service was s l o w. It was a Saturday night at around 7:00 pm. With as many servers as they have, I'd expect it to be faster. When my beer arrived, it was pretty much flat. So much for a fresh pull on a on-tap Samuel Adams Winter Lager. What a shame. Still, the total ticket for 2 was less than $40.

Was looking forward to a nice meal out. Thought we would give Turtle's a try. We should have gone to the local "greasy spoon". Food would have been good if it was just ok. I would not even give it a "just ok". Very disappointed. Didn't even have an appetite for the chocolate chip cookie pizza at the end.

Turtle's Tap is interesting. It's a bar, it's a family restaurant, it's a sports bar. I'm not quite sure. The food is fair to good and priced right but it's not a place I would highly recommend. It's just a place to grab a bite.

I've been in a couple of times while visiting my folks in Morris. My stepdad happens to despise the place, complaining that their chairs are always broken and the service and food are both bad. My mom tends to agree. But they agreed to give it a shot as my husband hadn't been and was curious, and my review was favorable. The atmosphere is casual and very much family friendly, despite it having a full bar (with lots of delicious-sounding frozen drink options). The service was somewhat slow, but friendly. This time I ordered a seafood combo, including beer battered cod and shrimp and Italian shrimp. I didn't care for the Italian shrimp, but the rest of the meal was delicious. The house salad was alright. I tried my stepdad's broccoli cheese soup it tasted very out-of-the-can cheesy with limp broccoli -- pretty awful! My husband had the sirloin, which he said was quite good though not outstanding. My daughter had beer-battered chicken breast and it was very moist and flavorful. My husband and I agreed we'd happily return, hopefully when I'm able to enjoy some of the selections off the drink menu. But next time we'll visit without my folks as they were once again unimpressed (mom with her sirloin, stepdad with his chicken tenders).
